Do you have a recipe/dish that you associate with a loved one?

Ask then for the recipe! Ask if you they could show you how to prepare it.

And WRITE IT DOWN! Not just on your phone… have it physical in your hand.

There will be a time when you need their comfort but they can’t be there (for whatever reason) and I found that even looking about a recipe like that (and/or making it) brings me comfort… for me it feels like they are there… (it can be totally different for you of course!)

Does looking at the dish/smelling/tasting it make me very emotional? Yes! But it also makes me feel better… (crying helps!)

#food #kinda?#I kinda regret not asking my grandma about recipes of the dishes she made #even if they are from a book�� they are not the same #(let alone if the book is old and has not very clear instructions ^^’)#of course this is also about friends who moved away or live so far away that you don’t have much contact because stupid timezones #(some friends shared recipies with me and whenever I make them/look at them it makes me smile…)#I have regular contact with them but only via the internet #making these things makes me feel closer to them #man today is an emotional day huh…#I would love to hug my friends… and I miss my grandma…#if someone is interested … I could share some of my grandmas recipes that I kinda had to recreate #they aren’t the same but close enough #and that is enough!

I've been having a lot of complicated feelings about social media lately (as I'm sure we all do). I feel like we've been slowly watching it wither away from the fun community it used to be to some evil soul sucking black hole and its just really been keeping me away from posting and engaging like I wish I could.

I've felt burned out by the pace of it all. How the fun of posting Art Stuff on the internet has degraded. I feel like I can't post something to connect with a community or show what ive been working on, I have to post something to do well and then immediately forget that post and move onto the next one which needs to be better and it just... sucks.

I know Im not saying anything new about the subject but I've just been so frustrated lol. I go through these periods of pouring as much as I can while working full time into these online places and then I sink and burn myself out

I wanna be able to share my thoughts! I wanna be able to talk to my friends and meet new ones! I want a slow and healthy pace where I can enjoy the things I love and share my own stuff!

I don't really have a grand point to make here lol Im just tired! And burnt out! And I miss engaging with people online! And it sucks!
