this is mostly for the German speaking crowd but I had to translate a railway safety assessment report today (yes, exactly as boring as it sounds), came across some familiar vocabulary and started thinking about StEx's German translation Like imagine if Bochum had actually translated "Rolling Stock" instead of leaving it. In the bad future of Rise movie, Mikey has hair. (Old man hair nonetheless). This has many implications, today I will focus on the implication that he has hair.

We do not know when our current Mikey will grow his hair- we can assume he will since his future version has gone through enough of it to have a weird side cheek-beard-bald head look, and presumably it will be through age since as of the Rise movie, he is only 15. Still time for weird mystical puberty stuff to happen.

However, we also see that future Mikey has not only hair, but also immense magical prowess. His introduction to us in the bad future is him being a badass mystic warrior (dropping even a curse word from Leonardo to describe him as such) with power that our present day Mikey will one day grow into.

And since we see both his age and his mystical abilities in the movie, either one of them could be connected to his hair growth.

Therefor, I propose a theory: That Michelangelo’s hair growth is not, in fact, a byproduct of a belated puberty, but rather a byproduct of his mystical puberty, and the more he uses his mystical abilities, the more he grows hair. 

We even see that Baron Draxum, one of the most mystically powerful people in the show, has gorgeous locks of hair, thus further evidence for the connection between the two.

And as Mikey’s big moment in the movie was him using his magical prowess, opening a portal that nearly destroyed his body but rescued his brother, a power so immense that his future self actually was killed in creating it...

I’m proposing that Mikey, in the midst of his recovery post-movie, will miraculously spout a full head of hair. Perhaps even overnight. All thanks to him reaching his mystical potential, and activating the connection between mystical powers and hair.
