A Jewel Is Born (Chapter 1)

Written for Asmodeus's Birthday 2023! Description: Asmodeus wasn't born as the Avatar of Lust. He hadn't always been one of Lucifer's brothers. He wasn't created to be one of the Seven Rulers of the Devildom. What he was created for, was beauty. That much has never changed. Can also be read on AO3 here!

Day 1 - Awakening

From the moment Asmodeus was born, he knew beauty. It was interwoven into every moment of his creation -- a destiny to be the most beautiful being that had ever lived and ever would.

The Jewel of the Heavens began as a pearl, lustrous and lovely, resting upon a bed of white silk in a jewelry box lined with glass -- mirrors within, with a clear view to the inside from beyond its walls. The entire case was illuminated by tiny stars that filled the space, their crystalline lights reflected infinitely in the glass to highlight the perfectly smooth sheen of the round pearl at its center.

And from this pearl, his Father drew out strands of glittering thread, weaving them through the stars into limbs, a torso, a face. All the shimmering flawless beauty of the gem made up every bit of his new angel's being. Fluttering robes came together over his form, white and purple, every star stitched into shining golden accents. A perfect doll, with the sweetest sherry-gold eyes fluttering back up at his creator.

A sparkling golden halo finished the creation, just the same as all his angels, and with that final touch, gave him life.

As the new angel's mind began to awaken, all around him were the mirrors of the box he lay in. In every direction, he saw himself -- the very concept of beauty given angelic form. Light bounced off his smooth skin, the iridescence of his origins still lingering upon his surface. A soft breath of wonder escaped him at the sight, and as he drew himself up to standing, the walls fell open around him like elegantly blooming petals of a great glass flower.

From farther beyond, he could see another angel standing beside a gateway, spear upright in hand and nodding politely to him. He registered the most beautiful parts of his boyish-faced greeter first -- the smooth arch of his jaw, the muscular curves of his exposed abdomen, the sweetly unassuming smile reaching up to lovely blue eyes behind a dusty ash grey mop of hair.

An exquisite smile slid across the newborn's impeccable features, and a pair of magnificent white feather wings spread out behind him, gliding him forward towards the gate. Taking the other angel's hand in his, he kissed it sweetly, batting his eyelashes up at him. "Well, hello there. What's your name, handsome?"

The other's smile dropped away quickly, replaced momentarily by some mixture of confusion and displeasure. He pulled his hand back before bowing his head again in polite deference, stiffly returning his expression to serious neutrality.

"Welcome, brother. I am the angel Raphael, and I have come to guide you to the Celestial Realm. What is your name?"

The answer entered his mind naturally, without even a moment's hesitation, and sounded like honey and stardust upon his tongue.

"I am the angel Asmodeus."

Well,, i just finished the last animated episode of Nana and I have a few thoughts,, also i feel empty feel empty for some reason but im just going to ignore that (there will be spoilers !!!)

- I absolutely hate sachiko (the one shoujo cheated on hachiko with) her character was annoying and i wanted to punch her pretty much everytime she was on screen,, Her character isnt intresting and her actions fucking suck,, I am very pro sachiko slander

- Despite reira being a literal pedophile,, I think she was written really well,, she is a very layered character who is greedy and selfish and in a way very manipulative,, using shin was a horrible thing,, the only good thing about her is she has nice hair, but I liked watching scenes with her,, seeing her interact with trapnest/other characters was insightful,, sometimes it feels like you could almost justify her actions if it wasnt for the absolute no no illegal shit she did since she acts so lovely wtih some characters,, (DOING THINGS WITH A FUCKING MINOR????????)

- Ren wasnt interesting,, I never really felt like i was getting to know his character or why he does what he does,, etc, most of the interesting parts came from mostly Nana,, but I still feel like he’s somewhat of a realistic character,, there just doesnt feel that much to him on a very surface level

-Hachiko did get on my nerves at some points,, but she was greatly mistreated by so many people that it angered me,, even at times be Nana,, shin was probably the truly nicest person to her,, she has a lot of natural human flaws,, and she was a very greedy and materialistic person who was on the more sensitive side, and really only seemed to think the most about relationships,, she did have a mothering quality that probably attracted shin to like her,, In summary I Both love her and dislike parts of her,, she has some pretty unhealthy mindsets but has shown she can grow

-Nana definitely came off as a complex person,, she was abandoned by her mother at a very early age and that affected her pretty much at every point throughout her life,, I kind of thought it would be more empowering for her not to be so focused on ren,, and for a while she wasnt,, and she kept trying to reject the idea of him in the year off that he went to tokyo,, but in the end (of the anime) she was with him,, I also feel like thats realistic and I dont blame her for that,, She seems to need him in one way or another,, but i know shed be able to survive even with just Yasu

-Yasu was probably the big brother/uncle/father role everyone needed to keep their shit together,, I swear he mustve lost all his hair from second hand stress of these broken people,, I godamn love this man,, and he handles things so well,, and maturely too,, he always dealt with everyone during the whole show,, and pretty much always knew what to do,, we all need a yasu in our lives

-Shin’s character was pretty heavy ,, its very obvious his way of (TW,, S/H) hurting himself was sleeping with older woman,, it was for sure a destructive behaviour,, He basically got manipulated by reira even though she still liked yasu,, and shin was aware but its sad to know that he pushed that aside just because hefelt like for once someone valued him,, Hachiko was one of the only people that loved him without expecting anything in return,, conculsion - shin needs a better family and therapy,,

Theres more characters but Ive written a lot so Im just gonna leave it for now,, I will 100000000%%% rewatch the show again and again and again forever and ever,, Im only a teenager and these are real life mature themes and actions that I want to understand better and I’ll make sure to watch it even when im a full grown adult,, I want to understand it all as much as I can

Written on my lunch break, briefly edited/revised. Tagging @today-in-fic​ and a couple of my pals, @baronessblixen​ and @viceversawrites​. 😊

The room is dim, a soft glow coming from the light above the bed. The faint beeping of monitors and IV pumps can be heard from down the hall, but it’s quiet in this room, which makes this different from so many of their previous hospital stays. No agents stationed outside the door, no cops coming to ask questions about potential suspects, just nurses and doctors making their rounds.

The sweet L&D nurse, Lauren, comes to check on the trio in the early hours of the morning. She finds Mulder lying in the bed next to Scully, his right arm wrapped around her. His left hand is gently stroking the small patch of red hair on his daughter’s head.

“How are you doing?” Lauren whispers, tapping her ID badge against the reader to wake up the computer.

“We’re good,” Scully says, smiling. Caroline is asleep in her arms, having just finished feeding not long ago. “We’re really good.”

Lauren types a few notes into the chart. “I’m glad to hear that. Do you want me to take her to the nursery for a bit, let you two get some rest?”

Scully looks to Mulder, unsure. Uninterrupted sleep sounds incredible, but she doesn’t know if she can stomach the thought of being separated from Caroline. Mulder understands this from her expression; she doesn’t have to say a word.

“Nah,” he says. “We’ve got her. I’ll let her mama get some sleep and I’ll take her for a while.”

“You got it,” Lauren agrees as she heads for the door. “Just let me know if you change your mind or need anything, okay?” Scully thanks her with a sleepy nod.

Mulder untangles himself from Scully and from the blankets, happy for the opportunity to stretch his limbs. When he stands and gets a good look at his wife, he realizes she’s blinking back tears.

“Hey. Hey,” Mulder says soothingly, reaching over to cup her cheek in his hand. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. Absolutely nothing.” Scully sniffles, wipes the back of her hand across her nose. “I’m just a little scared to be this happy.”

“Oh, sweetheart.” Mulder’s voice is soft, reassuring. “We’re okay. Everything is okay.”

“I know.” He’s wiping her tears away with his thumb when she smiles up at him. “I guess I had just convinced myself we’d never get to do this. Somehow it didn’t feel real until I actually got to hold her.”

“Yeah. Me too. But look at her, Scully. She’s perfect. And she’s ours.”

Mulder kisses her forehead before she gives Caroline to him. He paces back and forth with her for a few moments and adjusts the tiny knit cap on her head.

“Mulder?” Scully’s voice is soft, almost shy. She’s cast in that soft glow of the light above her bed, looking almost angelic in this moment. It’s a thought Mulder would never voice out loud, but one that makes his heart swell anyway.

“Hm?”

“Thank you. For everything.“

"You don’t need to thank me. You’re the one who did all the work.”

“Yeah, but…” Scully smiles. “I couldn’t do this without you. And I wouldn’t want to, either. I love you. I hope you know how much.”

Mulder smiles back and leans down to give her a kiss. “I love you, too.”

He flips the switch to turn the light off so that the room is now illuminated only by the sliver of light coming in from the doorway.  

As soon as Scully falls asleep (which is almost immediately), Mulder shifts his focus down to the baby girl in his arms. She’s awake now, but quiet and calm.

He takes a seat in the recliner and looks out the window next to him, the sky shifting from black to shades of deep purple as the sun prepares to rise in a couple of hours.

“Hey, pumpkin,” he says quietly. “While I’ve got your attention, there are a few things I need to tell you. First things first: that woman over there, your mama, is the most important person in the world to both of us. We wouldn’t survive without her. I will do anything to protect her, and you too, okay?”

Though her eyes are still open, Caroline yawns.

“I can’t be boring you already, can I? Nah. You don’t even know what boredom is yet. I’ll just keep talking. Here’s the second thing you need to know: in this family, we are Yankees fans. The Red Sox are scum. You are so lucky that you were born a fan of the best team in major league baseball.”

“I also have to tell you ahead of time that I might not always get this whole dad thing right. My father wasn’t good at it, and I’m a little afraid I won’t be, either. But I’m going to do my best. And when I mess up, you just have to let me know so I can fix it, because I want to be the best dad in the universe for you.”

Mulder looks over Scully and grins. “You’ll find this out really quickly, but your mama is very smart. She’s the smartest person I’ve ever met. You might decide someday that you want to be a doctor like her. Or maybe you want to be a psychologist like your old man. Or maybe you’ll be a writer, or a teacher. I don’t know, pumpkin. But I do know you’ll be the best at whatever it is you choose, and we’re going to love you and support you no matter what.”

Mulder rocks gently back and forth in the chair. “Let’s see…what else do you need to know? Oh. Here’s something. If a man or a woman ever breaks your heart, you come to us right away, okay? We’ll take care of them for you, no questions asked. This is just one benefit of your parents being FBI agents.” He chuckles to himself.

Caroline yawns again as her eyes start to close. “Tomorrow you’ll get to meet your godparents. Your godmother’s name is Monica. Monica is one of the nicest people you will ever know. She’ll always be there to have movie nights with you and cheer you on in life. And your godfather’s name is John. He only wants the very best for you, so he’s gonna want to grill your significant others, too. I wasn’t so sure about John at first, but I warmed up to him eventually. You’ll learn quickly that I’m kind of stubborn, baby. But Monica and John were there for your mom at a time when I couldn’t be. They helped her and took care of her, and I know they’ll take care of you, too.”

“I really want to tell you more about your grandmother. Her name was Maggie. Oh, she would have loved you so much. We miss her every day. But you’ll get to see the best parts of her in your mama. And I promise we’ll try to make banana bread just as good as she made it.”

“I think that’s a good start for now, don’t you? We should get some sleep. Well…I should get some sleep,” he corrects himself, as Caroline has already been asleep for a few minutes. “We’ve got plenty of time to teach you everything you need to know. The only thing you really need to know right now is that you are by far the most loved little girl in the entire world.”

Mulder places a kiss on his daughter’s forehead. “Oh, and aliens are real, honey. Don’t ever let anyone try to convince you otherwise.��

Benverly #4 deep convoBen had invited over Bev to stay the night at his aunts house with him for the night, Bev gleefully agreed, seeing at Ben was her closest companion. Once together Ben and Bev first cracked a couple jokes here and there, before divulging into conversations about everything from movies to music. A few hours later Ben found himself, believing it was the right time to officially confess his feelings, he had done it yeas prior with a poem but she ended up dating Bill for a few weeks before coming to the conclusion they work better as just friends. But Ben was convinced after that, that Bev would never like him. She leaned down and planted a kiss on Bens cheek. “Im tired, we should sleep” Bev said, Ben agreed, Ben let Bev sleep on the bed and Ben being the pure boy he is, slept on the floor. “Please don’t go girl” Ben said under his breath before drifting off to sleep. They also become cinema sins and find every flay you can possibly find and asses it. - Ben is a big cuddler, he cuddles Bev all night, watching movies, eating food, reading books together. Its always during cuddles- Bev and Ben write each other poetry, or at least try. Bens comes out amazing. Bevs? Not so much, she had such nice things to say but didn’t know how to put it into poetry. - Ben respects Bevs personal boundaries, they are both fully aware that Bev can still get triggered easily because of her past, Ben is very careful not to trigger it.- They tell the stupidest jokes all night, trying to see who can come up with the dumbest one. Bev wins with a stupid one about math. - They fall asleep relatively early because Ben can literally never stay up late, under any circumstance. - In the morning, Ben wakes up first and makes Beverly breakfast in bed. Best of the Bard: My Top 10 Favorite Shakespearean Characters

Now that I have completed my project of reading all 38 of Shakespeare’s plays, I thought I would share a few posts summing some of my favorites from the experience, some not-so-favorites, some of what I learned, and some recommendations. I’m going to call this my “Best of the Bard” series. I hope you enjoy it!

For the first Best of the Bard post, I thought I would share my top favorite characters from all of Shakespeare’s work.

There are a myriad of characters to choose from within Shakespeare's canon, which include some truly marvelous creations.

The 10 I have chosen are perhaps slightly changeable (I might come up with a slightly different list if I were to make this again in a few weeks), but most came to mind quite quickly and I think it’s a pretty solid list.

Please note that this is not a list of "nicest characters" or "characters that I would want to be friends with" or even "characters I admire." Some of them are. But some are most definitely not. They are the characters that simply stood out the most to me and/or that I found the most interesting.

Without any further ado, here is my list of favorite Shakespearean characters (in no particular order):

Lady Macbeth has fascinated me ever since I was first introduced to the play at the age of 10 or so. I think that is in large part because she was and is unlike any other character I have ever come across. There's a power in her that I can't help but admire in spite of all her faults and horrendous actions. And then when we compare that to the last time we see her in the play, where she is utterly broken, it is nothing short of devastating and heartbreaking. It's one of my favorite scenes of all time. She continues to fascinate me all these years later, and in some ways is the real star of Macbeth for me.

Rosalind is sheer joy and brilliance. I think any reader or audience of As You Like It can't help but adore her from the word go all the way to the end of the play. She is witty, fearless, mischievous, defiant, passionate, and so many more lovely adjectives. I love her so much and she deserves all the praise that can be heaped onto any Shakespeare character. So many female characters, even in contemporary literature, are passive and simply react to events. One of the many things I love about Rosalind is that she moves things forward all on her own. She doesn't wait to react to something that happens to her. She makes things happen, and she does it in good humor, with a smile, and staying an absolutely delight.

Celia/Aliena doesn't seem to get much attention, but I find her to be one of Shakespeare's most hilarious characters, with nearly infinite comic potential. She is absolutely hilarious, and is a perfect match for Rosalind's wit and impulsiveness. Celia shows so much loyalty, which I love, even though it inconveniences her, and provides all of the support that Rosalind needs to fulfill her plans. She is also a delight, and a brilliant character to watch.

Jaques is one of those famous minor roles like Malvolio, Dogberry, the Fool in Lear, or the Porter in Macbeth. Most of those roles I don't actually like very much, but Jaques is the exception. He is witty, he is intelligent, and he is incredibly funny without trying too hard or being a buffoon. Not to mention he has one of my favorite passages from the whole play: the seven stages of man speech. He is quite a cynical character, but I love him in spite of all that and I think he's an incredible creation and addition in to a Dramatis Personae already filled with a stunningly brilliant array of characters.

Prince Hal/Henry V is fascinating to me, in part because he changes more than any other Shakespearean character I can think of. True, he does it over three plays, but I still think it's pretty remarkable to watch. He is such a frat boy (pardon the stereotype, but it gets the point across) at the beginning, and we see him become an incredible king right before our eyes. That transformation is stunning and inspiring. It's also a little heartbreaking, because there is such a strong sense of duty in what he knows he has to be, and it feels like he has to weed out all that he was before and become someone entirely new. I love him for that sacrifice. I love him because of his struggle with living up to his father's expectations-something he feels he constantly fails at. I love him because he was able to finally set aside some of his worst instincts and become the king he knew he needed to be. I love him because of his courage and the way he inspires his people before the big battle in Henry V. I love him because he's an illustration that we can all be more than we think.

Falstaff is one of Shakespeare's most cherished characters, and for good reason-so much so, that Merry Wives of Windsor was (I think?) written so that he could again be featured. He is such a rascal, and not someone I would ever want to deal with in person, but he is a genius of a character. He looms larger than life, though not in a cartoonish way, and he is central to one of the most beautiful, brilliant scenes ever to grace the stage. His love for Hal is touching, even despite questionable motives and it makes me happy for Hal that he had someone like Falstaff in his life.

Beatrice is such a force of nature. I love how independent she is, how feisty and sarcastic, but Shakespeare avoids letting her fall into the stereotype of an Iron Maiden that so many "strong" female characters fall into now. She is so incredibly human and I love that. She is by far the best part about Much Ado About Nothing in my opinion (which is saying quite a bit, as I really like the play), and I think she's brilliant.

Benedick gets his fair share of my love, too. He's a bit of a...well...let's just say the last syllable in his name is rather fitting. The Benedick at the beginning of Much Ado About Nothing, at least, would definitely be a big of a sexist pig if he was alive today. BUT despite all his faults, I think you can't help but love him. His response when he "finds out" (a.k.a. is tricked into believing) that Beatrice is in love with him is freaking hilarious, but also kind of adorable, showing that, at least somewhere deep down, he's not actually a sexist pig. I also think he deserves a shoutout for what he does after the fiasco at Hero and Claudio's wedding.

Henry IV and Richard II are my final two favorite Shakespearean characters, and they are on my list for the same reason. I think they have some of the most beautiful lines and gorgeous language anywhere in Shakespeare's canon. And for a writer as gifted as the Bard, that is saying a heck of a lot. They both use stunningly exquisite language that seriously gives me shivers and leaves me breathless. You don't need to go any further than Richard II's "for god's sake, let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings" speech or Henry IV's "O gentle sleep, nature's soft nurse, how have I frighted thee..." soliloquy for evidence of that. Hoo. I'm getting shivers just thinking about it.

Honorable mention: Richard III is one of the most impressive characters Shakespeare ever created. The complexity of Richard's character is astounding, as is the extent to which we care about him and understand him despite knowing how horrible he is. Having a villain as your lead is a tricky thing to pull off, and through Richard, Shakespeare pull it off magnificently. It was very, very hard not to put Macbeth on this list as the honorable mention, but in the end, I think Richard is the better creation, although Macbeth has better lines. As I’m writing this, I feel like Macbeth definitely deserves a place on this list, but I should stop now, or I’m just going to keep adding to it.

1. From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing? (No downplaying yourself!)

2 stars maybe? Im not great and i forget a lot of things. but no one can stop me from writing and i enjoy it. the more i do it the more i may like my own writing one day

2. Why do you write fanfiction? Fanfiction is everything to me. It was a matter of time until i started writing it seriously for myself.

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

Literally nothing. I tend to go off with ships and specific things i want represented... but thats it. anyone can write.

4. Are there any writers that inspire you?

Always! so many! the best thing about fanfiction is how it builds upon itself and spreads!

5. What’s the fic you’re most proud of?

Im very proud of Secret Baby/ River run. Its large and a mess and i hate it. But im proud ive done it. A completed one im proud of is "Compress said its his turn on the murder screen" i think i did well with that one and kept the tone I wanted.

6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?

Arguments between characters and having them express themselves other ways.

7. What element of writing do you struggle with most?

It's the making up and posting works i struggle with. Along with editing which is another monster.

8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write?

I do love the murder boys! Dabi, Itachi, Deidara, Naruto (should have killed everyone), Reno. If theyve got issues i love them!

9. Which character(s) do you find most difficult to write?

happy characters. I just don't know what to do with them. Like a domestic setting with no action? nope not for me!

10. What’s your favorite genre to write for?

Hurt/comfort has always been my jam!

11. Who or what do you find yourself writing about most?

im not entirely sure? I havent been really writing/posting that long.

12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.

Expectations! its a collaboration i'm working on with a friend and a DabiHawks fanfiction again! It's a fic where they fall in bed together before they even like each other. A lot of assumptions are made and not a lot of talking gets done until quite a bit of Damage has been done. Hawks finds out that Dabi's been doing some things he wasnt comfy with just because he didnt know how to tell Hawks and because he was attached to him. It's messy and won't get less so.

interesting to write to say the least because im such a Zero tolerance person.

13. First fandom you ever wrote for?

Naruto lol

14. What’s your favorite fandom to write for?

part of my heart will always belong to naruto. can't leave it. But im enjoying writing for bnha immensely!

Food Fantasy! a video game i did a short one shot on last october!

Soulmate au's! Omegaverse! I love tropes! Oh! Hanahaki!

Sometimes! some fics have specific playlists!

All of the above! i dont know how to put wips back lol!

24. One-shots or multi-chaptered works?

I like one shots better but the amount of effort for multichapter fics is something else tbh!

25. Have you ever daydreamed about side adventures/spin-offs from your fic? Tell us about them!

Yes a few times brought on by comments! What if Hawks ran in to Dabi early on or if Dabi had stayed and talked to Hawks the last night they spent together. None of it ever really goes well? Dabi has no support besides his Significant Other in both of these and i dont like that.

26. Is there anything you’ve wanted to write, but you’ve been too scared to try?

Nope! Ive been getting the hang of NSFW and i feel like that's one of my biggest areas to improve on!

27. What’s the nicest comment you’ve ever received?

any! seriously i love comments! telling me to write more or that i forgot something was done 6 chapters ago or a string of emoji's!

28. How well do you handle criticism when it comes to your writing?

Much better than I used to!

29. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?

Every time i post lol. Im pretty comfortable with a variety of things! there's been times in this roleplay i participate in that i was very uncomfortable with how my character was acting but that was the entire point and it turned out well considering the outrage he kept causing!

30. Tooth-rotting fluff or merciless angst?

Best of both! ive also taken a shine to writing things that out of story context are fluff but in context are horrendous angst!

31. Do you have any OCs? Tell us about them!

Nope! I don't really do Oc's!

32. Summarize a random fic of yours in 10 words or less.

Secret Baby/ River Run- Dabi gets pregnant and runs away. Hawks is the father.

33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?

I've had such a kind fantastic audience but i wish they would pay some more attention sometimes to why i have characters do things the way they do. Hawks leaves Dabi alone? theres a reason for that and the awnser is not to stalk him. even for Dabi's saftey.

34. Copy and paste an excerpt you’re particularly fond of.

Dabi dosen't meet Rumi like expected. He expected to just get taken out by her in a fight one day, if they met at all. Not him cleaning his torn staples in Hawks bathroom after he's been shoved in there, Rumi having interrupted a blowjob and Hawks had roughly shoved him in his bathroom. He couldn't hear much of the conversation going on outside. But what he could made his face burn with embarrassment as he tried to put himself together. The fact that she was also a Hero and Hawks best friend made him nervous. What a great first impression, sucking her best friends dick with a bloody face. -" NOT DATING-" Hawks voice broke through for a moment and then quieted. -"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF HE'S A VILLAIN KEIGO, HE WAS JUST GIVING YOU A BLOWJOB THERE IS NO ." There was a loud thump as Rumi was yelling and Dabi let himself flinch here in private. She quieted down soon after she had started yelling. Dabi sat down against the sinks cupboard and rested his head on his knees. Waiting for it to stop and Hawks to kick him out. He wouldn't actually get to meet Rumi as Keigo's, well as Keigo's anything. It was just sex between them on Hawks end anyways. There's stomping towards the door and Dabi scrambles up as he resists the urge to lock the door. To lock himself inside like a child thinking it will save him from Enjis rath. Hawks is.... he's not kind to Dabi, but he's not Enji either. The door opens and Rumi's gaze finds him as he's getting up. He ducks his head and gives a little half hearted wave, not sure what she's doing. Why she's looking at him with a gaze much softer than expected. "Hey. Sorry I walked in on you guys. I'm Rumi. Hawks best friend he's been hiding away from you." "I uh. Um. Dabi? I go by Dabi. I think it's more like I'm just his dirty little secret." He gives a small dry chuckle and a smirk, a tad on the mean side like he did with Keigo. It came out a little to real and he winced. He sounded like a whiny asshole, he thought as he kept his gaze on his bare toes digging into the tile. "Dabi, I doubt Keigo thinks of you like that." Rumi reaches her hand out and Dabi tenses in anticipation of her grabbing him. To harm him maybe? To throw him in cuffs? Out of Keigo's apartment but he has no doubt that he will be there soon enough after Rumi leaves. "Its fine. I'm just a villain he can sleep with ya know?" Rumi gets a determined look in her eye as she draws her hand back, having noticed him tense up. "I'm going to give you my number Dabi. Villains don't any resources and I don't like how Hawks treated you when I walked in. If anything happens, I want you to have a way out. I don't think you've told your friends who your sleeping with. Or you would have teleported out of here." Dabi hands his phone over still in shock to Rumi and she gently takes it. She's still super confident in person but, there's no violence or anger from her. Its... suprising.

35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!

Dabi and Hawks can both have issues and have to put in some serious effort to not only see those issues, but work together with them. this has been a PSA.
