*The Future Foundation arrive at Freedom Café, to find the place invaded with people. Loud music is being blasted from inside.

Yeah. It won’t do anyone any good if you’re down all the time. Do it for your family at least.

*Everyone heads inside.

Oh! The guests of the hour are here!

Ah, about damn time you showed up.

*The Freedom Foundation all sit behind the counter. Oliver, Four and Maya pour out drinks and clean up plates and the like.

You three seem busy.

We’re working.

Usually, this place is a morning cafe, but it can turn into a pretty great bar at night.

Feel free to order drinks and enjoy yourselves. You guys earned it.

I would argue you guys earned it more. You should be the one’s enjoying yourselves. More than us at least.

I really appreciate that kid. But believe me, something like this is reward enough.

By the way, thanks a lot Kyoko. I heard you spoke with the police and set up a blockade to keep any paparazzi away.

For now, yes. I’m warning you though, this won’t be in place forever. Now that you’ve exposed your identities to the public, the best I can do is make sure the police protect you from any assassins or hitman that might come seeking vengeance. Paparazzi is another issue entirely.

It’s gonna suck, but I wouldn’t change it. We did what had to be done.

Still, I’m gonna miss being hated and misunderstood by society.

We’ll be lucky if the café doesn’t get torn down honestly.

He’s...He’s decided to go off on his own for a while. He left a note telling me he’d be back.

Don’t worry. Makoto’s a good guy. Whatever slump he’s in, he’ll get over it soon enough.

He had better. We aren’t exactly going to be battling back against Zetsubou without him.

Anyway, hopefully he’ll change his mind and join in on the celebrations later. For now, the rest of you go and have fun.

*The party continues on into the night, but after a while, less and less patrons start to show up. The Future Foundation unfortunately find it hard to have any fun due to the absence of Makoto, but they still try and support the Freedom Foundation and enjoy themselves as much as they can.

He’s not usually like this...

*Kuripa stands behind the counter, filling in for Oliver and mixing drinks alongside Maya.

Makoto, you mean?

Yeah...I don’t know what’s going on with him, but ever since Mukuro Ikusaba...no, even before that. Ever since Yui Samidare died, he’s been...different.

If he was himself, he would have shown up and had a whale of a time...and...

*Kuripa glances to the side, where Komaru, Toko and Akeru are sitting at a table. Komaru and Toko have glasses of wine in their hand. Akeru has a juice box.

You worried about Komaru?

*sigh* She’s dumb as a box of rocks, but she’s a good person with good morals. Boss cares about her a lot too. It sucks to see them fight like this.

You think Komaru’s in the right?

I don’t know what to think. I just...Hm?

*Kuripa pauses as he suddenly feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He takes it out and looks at the message he was sent.

Oh...shit...speak of the devil...

*Kuripa leaves through the back door.

*Kyoko follows Kuripa out the back door. However, no sooner does she leave, the front door chimes open.

*The Future Foundation members freeze, and lurch to their feet at the sound of the voice.

Yeesh...antsy crowd we got here today.

Mainly dealing with the repercussions of Emilia Feng’s death. Zetsubou really took a blow after that incident, you know?
