farewell my turnabout is endlessly replayable because there’s so much engarde dialogue that makes perfect sense after the reveal (the optional ‘present’ dialogue getting steadily more sinister, ‘…’s after he lies to you, his very real malice towards juan and adrian leaking in as early as his first encounter) whereas dual destinies is absolutely infuriating to replay because every second the phantom’s onscreen just reinforces how absolutely dogshit the foreshadowing was

Jack has definitely been traumatized by The Accident
his best friend got horrifically injured (because of a mistake Jack made) and dragged to the hospital right in front of him, and then Jack hasn't seen him for years
I hc Jack actually tried to visit and when that didn't work he wrote letters, but they all returned unopened (the staff was tampering with Vlad's mail), so Jack spent years not knowing if his best friend was about to die (or maybe was already dead)
Vlad literally vanished from Jack's life in the blink of an eye
one moment Jack is having the time of his life in college with his closest buddy, and the next his friend is gone... and probably dying in agony
I know Vlad was obviously way more affected by this set of events, but I can't pretend like the accident couldn't have traumatized Jack as well

Me: yeah whatever. I don’t feel shit.
5 minutes later: dude I swear I just saw Director Cosmos switch the launch areas
My buddy Apollo pacing: Fulbright is lying to us

Concept: an Ace Attorney trial with Kristoph Gavin as the Defense Attorney, Manfred von Karma as the Prosecutor, ‘Bobby Fulbright’ as the Detective and some sort of Resurrected Steampunk Zombie Mael Stronghart as the Judge. Just an entire Courtroom of culprits.
(The Defendant could be Matt Engarde but he was actually framed by Dahlia Hawthorne)
