TSIME: The Casa Girls
While I was preparing to write Casa Amor from the boys' point of view for The Sun in My Eyes, I realized I'd have to create the girls, because we only really know Shannon. Even Blake is a bit of a mystery as we learn almost nothing about her, other than she's seems thin-skinned. So I spent some time sorting out the main personality trait of each original islander, and then made each CA girl a combo of 2 of them.
Tumblr media
Marisol + Priya
Amber is a huge snob and decided as soon as she met Emily that she was stupid and low class, and needed to be put in her place. Amber is a bitch. It was really fun to write two women who were both WAY too good for Jakub, get so caught up in competing with each other that they forgot that what they were fighting over wasn't actually a prize.
Tumblr media
Just Hope
Originally Siobhan was Hope + Lottie. A self-important troublemaker, but she just didn't flow that way when I started writing her. I didn't want to write yet another brittle black woman (Fusebox has that on lock). It was more fun to make her have all of Hope's best traits (playful, direct, ambitious) yet none of her worst. Siobhan is who Hope could be if she weren't so insecure. A self-actualized Zen badass. Basically she's S3 Yasmin before S3 came out.
Tumblr media
Hope + Marisol
What's there to say about Shannon? I love this manipulative, savvy bitch. And she deserved better than Rahim's triflin' ass dithering between multiple girls.
Tumblr media
Lili + Lottie
Yuna was an accidental villain. It was supposed to be Siobhan telling everyone about what Emily did, but once I started writing, it just felt right for this spoiled, chronic talker to thoughtlessly spill Emily's business to anyone who'd listen. And for her to lie to Bobby in order to manipulate him into choosing her. Love Yuna or hate her, you gotta respect the audacity.
Tumblr media
Lili + Priya
You know, I really wanted to redeem Blake. I always thought she took a lot of heat for simply being a little thin-skinned, and I wanted to give context for her behavior when she came to the villa. But I underestimated just how much she was hated and no amount of context was gonna make anyone empathize with her 😆 Oh well. I tried.
Tumblr media
Chelsea + Lottie
Oh, Emily. Girl. I love her tragic, bad decision making ass. And her wise, resigned kitchen conversation with Bobby is my favorite thing I wrote for Casa. I head canon, but never explicitly wrote into the story, that she DMed Lili the moment she left the show to apologize. Because that's just how she is. Emily is a fuck up, but she's an honest one.
Just an aside, but I gave her my mom's most endearing skill, the ability to cross one eye and keep the other straight. Something that never fails to make me laugh 🤣
Stay tuned, my post about Bobby's OC family is coming... eventually.
Thanks @longbobmckenzie for pointing out that my original post is missing for some reason.

look, i know we know about the clocks. we've been over the clocks. we love the clocks. but what about the lilies. you can't talk about the clocks without talking about the lilies. they're everywhere. the goncharov villa is filled with them and let's not pretend that a flower so associated with funerals is a mistake here. barley 10 minutes after andrey and katya's fight, when he pushes her into the vases of lilies, staining her beautiful white dress with pollen, do we see her supposed death in the boathouse. he literally marks her for death. and these lilies follow katya everywhere from the very start. goncharov gifts her a bouquet of them in the opening scene so, hey, you can argue that between the two of them, they both marked her. her number was up from the very beginning.
but you know who doesn't gift katya lilies? sofia. sofia tucks that blue iris behind her ear at the market and katya is still wearing it pinned to her coat when she goes to the boathouse. sofia is the one person who believes in katya throughout the whole movie. believes in them. believes in what they could be away from goncharov and andrey and fucking ice pick joe.
except that one sweet blue iris was never going to be enough against a tide of lilies and all the markers that said katya was never getting out of this alive.
and yet, how can we not hope? that scene was just open ended enough that maybe, just maybe, she managed to escape her fate. maybe her clock was ticking down to mark the start of a new chapter. maybe the lilies were not her funeral spray but an indication of her rebirth into someone who doesn't need men like goncharov to survive.
it's one of the movies biggest mysteries. we don't see sofia nor katya again after this, so who's to say they didn't finally make it to prague like they wanted?

Sables (Annick Goutal)
(This is a reblog with edits. I wasn't happy with the original and went in to make some alterations only to find that the post would not save with its changes. Please forgive my starting anew!)
Some years ago, I engaged in a happy email debate with a perfumista friend on the burning question: What perfume did author Edith Wharton wear?
Having read of Wharton’s sojourns in Northern Africa, I proposed a spicy attar purchased as a memento of the Tunisian souks. In contrast, my friend suggested “a sparkling cologne with the hot herbs of the garrigue… something, in any case, that would sort with her outwardly brittle and aspersive manner and severe prose style; with the wish for fresh water in the cut flowers each day in order to have the bubbles clinging to the stems…” With this gorgeous image in mind, I conceded that the author of Italian Villas and Their Gardens would have more likely leaned towards florals– and would have exhibited a fierce and exacting discernment in her choice.
Cue the segue to a second question: What would her fictional characters choose?
For this round of our game, we opted not to limit ourselves to era-specific perfumes. On Undine Spragg - Custom of the Country’s aspirational butterfly – I would have pinned Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. But within a month she’d toss it in the trash, flat-out furious to be stuck with a fragrance that “everyone wore”. My pal recommended the very virile Tabac Blond or any contemporary pairing of “icky girly candy-floss and man-eating chypre”– most likely blazoned with Paris Hilton’s name. She went on to say:
…not only would (Undine) have… preferred the celebrity brand to the actual scent but would herself have BEEN one of those celebrities… perhaps her fragrance would have been marketed as ‘Quinze Minuits’, to signify the evanescent and meaningless Town Topics fame for which she is so eager. She might even have been Warhol’s muse in a different decade…
Interesting food for thought. Undoubtedly, Undine and Warhol would have been helpless in the face of each other’s gravitational pull. And I, for one, would pay good money to witness the first meeting between Undine and Ondine– catfight!
Like most after-the-fact Factory fans, I regard the magnificently doomed Edie Sedgwick as the fifteen-minute Idol Supreme of that time. But Edie turned out more along the lines of The House of Mirth’s Lily Bart– a tragic heroine bred to be rich and ornamental but condemned to failure by the total absence of real-life coping skills. Just as Edie lived and died in a fog of Fracas, Lily would have exhaled her last breath in Serge Lutens’ Tubéreuse Criminelle… if that deathly (and now discontinued) masterpiece hadn’t been too rich for her blood.
No, Undine Spragg would be too clever to fall into one of Edie/Lily’s bottomless pits. I envision her as more the Angie Bowie type– shrewd, opportunistic, perennially on the make. I briefly considered Jicky for her, but something tells me she’d want something exclusive—not to mention expensive enough to bankrupt all three of her husbands. (Would Clive Christian’s No. 1 suffice? It’s got a real live diamond on the bottle!)
Arriving at Ellen Olenska - the timeless iconoclast of The Age of Innocence - the game grew more serious, quite in keeping with its subject. Would a daughter of Old New York opt for simple floral modesty, or would marriage to a European count lure her over to rich amber and spices? I suggested we split the difference and opt for helichrysum—that austere bloom known to perfumers as immortelle.
I’ve read any number of reviews comparing the scent of immortelle to maple syrup. (Which grade? Dark amber? Grade C Non-Commercial?) Some liken it to fenugreek seeds– which, coincidentally, are used in the production of artificial maple flavoring. (The mysterious pancake-breakfast smell that wafted occasionally over Manhattan some years ago was eventually traced to a fenugreek processing plant in North Jersey). Add to this a powdery, ground-spice quality which evokes dried blossoms on long, silvery stems, collecting a century’s worth of dust before their fragrance fades to nothing.
Above all, immortelle exudes the smell of burnt sugar– smoky, unsettling, and inedible. If you heat simple syrup past the moment of caramelization, it turns black and tarry in the pan. At that point, you will find that there is no sweetness left in the sugar at all. It is bitter as hell and (when cool) brittle enough to cut your tongue, with an odor at once venomous and addictive.
Which brings me (at long last!) to Sables by Annick Goutal.
I have been given to understand that Goutal formulated Sables as a tribute to her husband, but its combination of tenacity and delicacy perfectly suits Countess Olenska, a woman both prized and excoriated for the virile independence of her nature.  Here’s a sample, culled from a conversation between her and Newland Archer:
“I think you’re the most honest woman I ever met!” he exclaimed. “Oh, no– but probably one of the least fussy,” she answered, a smile in her voice. “Call it what you like: you look at things as they are.” “Ah– I’ve had to. I’ve had to look at the Gorgon.” “Well– it hasn’t blinded you! You’ve seen that she’s just an old bogey like all the others.” “She doesn’t blind one; but she dries up one’s tears.”
Sables has an antique quality to it, like a piece of amber crushed velvet taken from a costume of the Belle Epoque– something which sits softly on the skin and reminds you of its presence only in whispers. However, all that softness and luxury hides one mother of a backbone. Those looking for dessert in a spray bottle must look elsewhere: Sables is a resolutely bitter scent with no ameliorating sweetness, unadorned by peripheral notes that might detract from its charred majesty. Less is more: Annick Goutal did well to let immortelle stand on its own.
A word must also be said for Sables’ staying power. Rarely will one find a perfume with such welcome tenacity. (Usually, it’s the ones that make your gorge rise or your eyes water that refuse to go away.) Sables exhibits amazing persistence, lasting all throughout the day and night with no need for second applications. And yet, at no time does its scent become boring or tedious. This is a perfume for life.
Ideal for a woman who has survived the fire and carries the aching heart to prove it.
Scent Elements: Immortelle, cinnamon, Mysore sandalwood, Indonesian and Madagascar pepper, smoked tea, amber

Playscript creation
Our task was to choose a playscript, and without changing the dialogue, place the action in different times and situation. We decided to read the playscript of "Harry Potter and the cursed child" by John Tiffany and Jack Thorne and place it in the scenatio close to "How I became a gangster". We chose these, because the last part of Harry Potter is a very nice lecture and it was a lot of fun working on it, and the film not only suits the atmosphere we were aiming for, but also gives perfect background for the story. After the creation of the changed playscript, I am very pleased with what we came up with.
This is the final version of the playscript (with explanations):
Harry Potter – The Cursed Child
Act 3, Scene 16
The place & scenography:
Pruszków, living room of an old classy villa. The walls are in light colour that will perfectly work with plan light so it looks rich and like work done by true architect. Wooden floor is placed in dimond pattern which is considered to be luxurious. There is a magnificent chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Which is not visible in the graphics. It looks like it is made from true dimond. In the middle there is a table with a big pile of files on it. Next to it there is a comfortable but stylish sofa and 2 cupboards against the walls. There is a big window behind the sofa but it is fully covered with a heavy curtain.  The curtain is there so that people from the outside cannot see the inside. Decorations are ones typical for luxurious villas, there can be a famous painting on the wall.
Tumblr media
The context & background:
In the 90’s there was one main gang in Pruszków. Their inner sign of belonging was wearing a green cloth in the upper pocket of a jacket. The other side – considered the evil one is the police and gangsters who betray their gang. Those gangsters are considered a danger and have a special sign tattooed on their necks – small black wings.  All the gangsters use very specific and unknown by the rest of population language – their own slang.
The time:
1995, April, night – around 2300
The characters:
Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy – played by Jack Dylan Grazer – 15 years old member of the gang with Albus, assigned to the task that went wrong, now trying to destroy the evidence. Always cautious about the situation, logically thinking.
Albus Severus Potter – played by Cole Mitchell Sprouse - 15 years old member of the gang with Scorpius, assigned to the task that went wrong, now trying to destroy the evidence. Confident, impulsive, unable to see the “bad side” of some people.
Delphini “Diggory” Riddle – “The Augurey” – played by Lily Rose Depp – 23 years old member of the the gang, a traitor working for the police pretending to take part in the task with Albus and Scorpius. Clever, mysterious, coldblooded, undetected staying under the cover.
The costumes:
Scorpius – black suit with grey waist suit. Green pocket square located in right upper pocket of the jacket. With shirt with grey or green tie. Everything is custom tailored to show social status. Golden watch as symbol of money. Black shoes. Short blond hair.
Albus – black suit with grey waist suit. Green pocket square located in right upper pocket of the jacket. With shirt with grey or green tie. Everything is custom tailored to show social status. Golden watch as symbol of money. Black shoes. Short brown hair.
Delphi – black jacket with grey or black trousers. Green pocket square located in right upper pocket of the jacket. White shirt or top. Everything is custom tailored to show social status. Black high heels. Golden and green jewellery that includes necklaces but also may include earrings. Long curly blond hair that covers the neck most of the time. Wings tattoo on the neck.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The props & vocabulary:
Time turner – a pile of documents proving the illegal real estate trade
The Augurey – “crown witness” (often represented as a creature with black wings)
Confringo – to tear something up
Expulso – a shredder
Tumblr media
Bombarda – a gun
Stupefy – to fire something up/fire
Wizard – a gangster
Spell – the method
Witchcraft – methods used by gangsters
Second task – the task from the past
Dementor – policeman capturing gangsters
Voldemort – sheriff
Dark magic – capturing gangsters by the police
Death Eater – policemen
Care of magical creatures – senior gangsters explaining the basic rules to the new ones
Hogwarts – neighbourhood
Fulgari – “got you”
Owlery – the meeting room/space
“Send an owl” – send a message
Muggles – common people
The text & action:
Scorpius and Albus enter the living room with piles of documents in their hands. The night is quiet but some shouts can be heard from a distance.
Scorpius
So, I think a simple Confringo.
Scorpius states confidentially.
Albus
                Definitely not.
He angrily slams the documents on the table. Beat.
For something like this you need Expulso.
Scorpius
                Expulso?
Now Scorpius slams his part of documents on the table.
Expulso and we’ll be clearing bits of Time-Turner from this owlery for days.
Albus
                Bombarda?
Albus says it uncovering a gun in his pants for a moment.
Scorpius
And wake up everyone in Hogwarts?
Beat. He quiets down and continues in a much calmer voice.
Maybe Stupefy. They were originally destroyed using Stupefy…
Albus
Exactly, it’s been done before – let’s do something new, something fun.
In rage he “crazy” smiles at the last words.
Scorpius
Fun?
Scorpius becomes more and more irritated by the simple-mindedness of his colleague.
Look, many wizards overlook the importance of choosing the right spell but this really matters. I think it’s a much-underestimated part of modern witchcraft.
Delphi enters the room without anyone noticing.
Delphi
With a friendly contempt, giggling.
‘A much-underestimated part of modern witchcraft’ – you two are the greatest, you know that?
Scorpius looks up surprised to see Delphi has emerged behind him.
Scorpius
Wow. You’re… um… what are you doing here?
Albus
With irony in his voice:
It felt important to send an owl – let her know what we’re doing – you know?
Scorpius looks at his friends accusingly.
                This concerns her too.
Scorpius thinks, and then nods, accepting this.
Delphi
What concerns me? What’s this about?
Albus points at the documents on the table.
Albus
We need to destroy the Time-Turner. The things Scorpius saw after the second task… I’m so sorry. We can’t risk going back again. We can’t save your cousin.
Delphi looks at the pile of files and then at them both.
Delphi
Complains irritated:
                Your owl said so little…
Albus
Imagine the worst possible world, and then double it. People being tortured – dementors everywhere – a despotic Voldemort – my dad dead, me never born, the worlds surrounded by Dark Magic. We just – we can’t allow that to happen.
Delphi hesitates. Then her face breaks.
Delphi
                Voldemort ruled? He was alive?
Scorpius
He ruled everything. It was terrible.
Delphi
                Because of what we did?
Scorpius
Humiliating Cedric turned him into a very angry young man and then he became a Death Eater and – and – it all went wrong. Really wrong.
Delphi looks at Scorpius’s face carefully. Her face sinks.
Delphi
                A Death Eater?
Scorpius
And a murderer. He killed Professor Longbottom.
Delphi
Impatiently:
Then – of course – we need to destroy it.
Albus
Surprised:
                You understand?
Delphi
I’ll go further than that – I’ll say Cedric would have understood. We’ll destroy it together, and then we’ll go to my uncle. Explain the situation.
Albus
                Thank you.
Delphi smiles at them sadly, and then takes the documents from the table. She looks at them and her expression changes slightly
                Oh, nice mark.
Delphi
                What?
Delphi’s suit has loosened. A crown witness tattoo is visible on the back of her neck.
Albus
Curiously:
On your back. I hadn’t noticed it before. The wings. It that what the Muggles call a tattoo?
Delphi
Oh. Yes. Well, it’s an Augurey.
Scorpius
                An Augurey?
Delphi
Haven’t you met them in Care of Magical Creatures? They’re sinister looking black birds that cry when rain’s coming Wizards used to believe that the Augurey’s cry foretold death. When I was growing up, my guardian kept one in a cage.
Scorpius
                Your… guardian?
Delphi looks at Scorpius. Now that she has the Documents she’s enjoying the game.
Delphi
With visible disregard and arrogance:
She used to say it was crying because it could see I was going to come to a sticky end. She didn’t like me much. Euphemia Rowle… she only took me in for the gold.
Albus
Why would you want a tattoo of her bird, then?
Delphi
It reminds me that my future is mine to make.
Albus
Albus in a sudden childish interest:
Cool. I might get an Augurey tattoo.
Beat.
Scorpius
The Rowles were pretty extreme Death Eaters.
A thousand thoughts inside Scorpius’s head. Albus coming to his mind and getting annoyed with the hold up.
Albus
Come on, let’s get destroying… Confringo? Stupefy? Bombarda? Which would you use?
Scorpius
Give it back. Give us the Time-Turner.
Delphi
With annoyance and superiority:
                What?
Albus
Yelling at Scorpius:
                Scorpius? What are you doing?
Scorpius
Remaining calm:
I don’t believe you ever were ill. Why didn’t you come to Hogwarts? Why are you here now?
Delphi
I’m trying to bring my cousin back!
Scorpius
Realizing what the situation is. A bit worried, strongly accenting every “you”:
They called you the Augurey. In – the other world – they called you the Augurey.
A slow smile grows on Delphi’s face.
Delphi
The Augurey? I rather like that.
Albus
Confused:
                Delphi?
She is too quick. Taking out her weapon, she repels Scorpius. The papers fall down on the ground next to her as they get into a fight. And she is far stronger – Scorpius tries to keep her back, but she quickly overpowers him. She shoots him at the right bark. Scorpius roars from pain.
Delphi
Shouts mockingly:
                Fulgari!
Scorpius
Concerned, despite the pain hastens his friend:
                Albus. Run.
Albus looks around, bewildered. Starts to run. Delphi shoots again aiming at the same spot. Albus fall to the floor nearby his colleague. More grunting can be heard.
Delphi
Arrogantly, with satisfaction:
                Fulgari!
And that is the first spell I’ve had to use on you. I thought I’d have to use plenty more. But you’re far easier to control than Amos – children, particularly male children, are so naturally pliant, aren’t they? Now, let’s sort this mess out once and for all…
Albus
Fighting the pain, asks desperately:
But why? But what? But who are you?
Delphi
In rage and madness shouts:
Albus. I am the new past.
She takes his gun and throws it out the window breaking it.
I am the new future.
She does the same with Scorpius’s’ gun.
I am the answer this world has been looking for.
She picks up the documents and leaves the villa.
The TEAM description:
Tension – Tension in the scene is builds as the tension between the characters builds up. It is build under the influence of the mysterious atmosphere surrounding the scene as the audience does not clearly know what is the problem and how important are the documents held by the characters. The tension reaches its climax as Delphi turns out to be a traitor.
Emotion – For the characters it is at first relief as they are in possession of the important documents and are able to destroy them. Then, they feel slightly happy that Delphi showed up. With Delphi’s arrival the tension builds up gradually, creating a feeling of suspense and mystery. Then, when the tension reaches its climax the scene is overwhelmed with the feeling of disbelief, anger and shock.
Atmosphere – Because of the lack of clear introduction the atmosphere is constantly mysterious. At first the mysteriousness is accompanied by a slightly relaxed atmosphere which is quickly substituted by nervous an chaotic energy.
Meaning –  The scene is an altered impression of the creation of a crown witness position. Rise of this law left a huge impact on the mentality of Polish gangs as well as safety of potential witnesses and citizens. The scene is supposed to give a transformed insight into the creation of the position, leaving a sense of familiarity (as many people watched “Jak zostałem gangsterem”).

“Burton to this Taylor”
This line is from “Ready for It?” the first song on Reputation. The song sets the table for the rest of the album.
Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
They were one of the 20th century’s most iconic couples. Burton was from the UK. 🇬🇧 Elizabeth Taylor was the American Queen. 🇺🇸👑 They were together for 13 years. Known for a torrid beginning, an extravagant lifestyle, and heavy drinking, they charmed and challenged everyone they met, especially each other. “When you are in love and lust like that, you just grab it with both hands and ride out the storm,” Elizabeth Taylor said in 1973. Burton first saw Taylor in 1953 and described her as “unquestionably gorgeous . . . she was, in short, too bloody much.” Burton and Taylor’s true love was Bulgari jewelry, in particular the snake jewelry that Elizabeth wore during the filming of Cleopatra.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hounded by paparazzi and fans, Burton and Taylor holed up in a rented villa, drinking and playing endless rounds of Scrabble. “When you get aroused playing Scrabble, that’s love baby,” Elizabeth Taylor said.
“Baby, let the games begin. Are you ready for it?”
Tumblr media
They lived a jet-set life, traveling the world, but their most lavish spending was on jewelry. “I introduced Elizabeth to beer; she introduced me to Bulgari,” Burton famously joked.
During the filming of Cleopatra, Elizabeth Taylor famously wore Bulgari serpenti bracelets and one special Bulgari serpenti watch, which many believed was a gift from Burton, who she started to see romantically behind her husband’s back.
Tumblr media
Does Elizabeth’s Bulgari Serpenti on the set of Cleopatra remind anyone of Taylor on the set of “Look What You Made Me Do” (and Lily at Cannes in 2016)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember how Time magazine said Lily has a cameo in the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video? (Link)
“Betty” is short for Elizabeth.
British Fashion Council Awards
Lily debuted her Bulgari snake jewelry at the British Fashion Council Awards on December 5, 2016 in London. She wore two Bulgari serpenti necklaces as well as Bulgari serpenti earrings.
Tumblr media
Bulgari debuted its Serpenti Suduttori collection, which is the collection Lily wore, in late October 2016, the same week the Victoria’s Secret angel rings were given out.
Tumblr media
Taylor mysteriously showed up with the VS ring and Lily mysteriously showed up with the expensive Bulgari snake jewelry that Autumn, just as they ran away together to London.
Lily wasn’t the only person from the Gaylor Swift universe at the British Fashion Council Awards. Karlie was there also. She wasn’t wearing any Bulgari snakes though.
Tumblr media
Post-British Fashion Council Awards
Lily wore the Bulgari snake jewelry pretty much whenever she attended an event from late 2016 through March 2017.
Tumblr media
As I’ve mentioned before, Lily did not have a contract with Bulgari and the jewelry was not given to her for a particular photoshoot or appearance. Other than the tweet above, Lily’s Bulgari snake jewelry was not mentioned in any advertisements or PR. Interestingly, the article associated with the tweet is where the “Burton to this Taylor” connection was made, which made my eyes and ears perk up.
Rep Prologue
Taylor told us in the Rep prologue that the songs are not about who people think they are and the men they think they are about are wrong. “We think we know someone, but the truth is we only know the version of them they have chosen to show us.”
Most people think the line “Burton to this Taylor” is about Joe. But a closer look reveals it likely is about Lily and the “Ready for It?” song lays out Taylor’s plan.
Rep Room on Tour
Taylor paid homage to the Burton/Taylor love affair and their movie “Cleopatra” on tour in 2018 by having posters of them in the Rep Room for fan meet and greets - link.

Meet the Bachelorettes of Coral Island!
Check out the Bachelors! Check out the Townies!
Tumblr media
Yuri
When she is not busy keeping the islanders healthy, she can be spotted hanging out or playing chess at the beach shack; She also likes tattoos, pastel hair, and playing pool. Yuri is not your usual MD— she spent her 20s as a doctor who crossed many borders, frequently dispatched to remote areas to practice for little to no pay. Presumably why she has no decent savings and decided to settle in Starlet Town, a boat ride away from her hometown, Tosaka. She is close with her roommate Millie and fellow MD, Charles.
Loves: Fish sandwich, green curry, lobster Hates: Flowers
Tumblr media
Lily
Despite having a well-paid remote job, Lily still lives at home with her dad and brother, Theo (a bachelor). Usually, she spends her days working at home and would visit the lake or library on the weekend. Once a week, usually on a Monday, Lily would stay at the Abandoned Villa, as a favor to her good friend, Nina. She watches the Villa while Nina’s away and uses that time to recuperate. Lily loves miniature bonsais.
Loves: Kimchi, onigiri, omurice, bonsais Hates: Diamond
Tumblr media
Eva
She is a bachelorette. She is a happy-go-lucky baker who works at the general store. She enjoys talking to the islanders, be it local, new, visitors, everybody! And is good friends with a lot of them. Currently, Eva doesn't have a lot of savings but when she does, has dreams to visit more exotic places. According to the islanders, Eva is always a delight to talk to— a positive ray of sunshine. A fan of red velvet cakes and cookies. Sews most of her clothes herself!
Loves: Cookies, Orchids Hates: Garlic
Tumblr media
Leah
She lives her bachelorette life with her father and stepmom in an old massive house that the locals call “The Mansion.” She is a self-hired, yoga instructor at the community center and takes her online presence seriously. She spends her day wandering around the island with a camera on hand. Leah’s mother is an art dealer who travels the world constantly. So when her parents divorced, after long deliberation between the lawyers and what seems like a lifetime worth of legal fees, they decided that it would be best for Leah to stay with her dad. This was to retain some sort of stability in her life. She loves to be surrounded by nature, fine arts and a closet full of designer collections. Dislikes mushrooms and eggs.
Loves: Pearl Hates: All fish
Tumblr media
Macy
She grew up on a neighboring island and now lives full time at the Inn. She makes a living by selling images to a visual media company, Pletty inc.  Before Coral Island, she went to university for finance in Plotera, tried her luck working a corporate job for 3 years while selling photography as a side gig. At one point, she decided to pursue photography professionally and left her corporate job. Before embarking on a life as an artist, she moved back home for a year, catching up with her family while preparing for her island-hopping career. Though she didn't say how long she would stay in Coral Island, she mentioned that she would eventually move on to another island, unless she has a good reason not to. An only child. She loves simple nights, taking pictures, playing video games and Stephen, her rescued lobster.
Loves: Pizza Hates: Pickles
Tumblr media
Nina
This bachelorette technically doesn't live in Coral Island anymore, but still visits her vacation home at the beach, from time to time. Aside from wild rumors around town, she's never talked about her abrupt departure, so it remains a mystery until now.  Nina is well educated and enjoys lavish vacations. Close friends with Suki. Hates bananas but loves banana fritters.
Loves: Banana fritter, Flower bouquet Hates: Banana, Tomato soup
Tumblr media
Zarah
An eligible bachelorette who is an adventurer at heart. Zarah lives on a boat. She enjoys going around the island and finding treasures, be it gems, old artifacts, or a buried history. Zarah was born and raised on the other side of Coral Island. When her boat is not docked at its usual place, she is presumed to visit her family. But what really is going on in her life, nobody really knows. She can be a bit mysterious at times. Allergic to cats.
Loves: Rambutan, Azurite Hates: Roasted Chesnuts
Tumblr media
Alice
Alongside her twin sister Suki, they own, run, and live by the beach in Coral Inn. Running a business is hard, and running it with your sister is harder. Alice spends her days working at the inn and her free time hanging out with friends in town. She is a good friend with Noah, and they are often spotted together grabbing morning coffee—or in-depth discussion about unexplainable phenomenons. Thinks pizza is overrated. Loves minced jackfruit pies.
Loves: Green smoothies Hates: Pizza
Tumblr media
Suki
She is recently divorced and, according to her nightstand, currently “finding love from within,” and learning “how to expand love.” Focusing on herself, she drowns herself in work, exercise, and building a healthy co-parenting relationship with her ex. Though she is no longer a Sanchez, she still keeps a close relationship with the whole family. Loves minced jackfruit pies.
Loves: Green smoothies Hates: Pizza, Pineapple upside down-cake
Tumblr media
Millie
She owns the house in Garden Lane and rents one of the rooms out to Yuri. She works at the Library and likes to spend her free time bird watching. Not only does she take good care of the books at the Library, her responsibility includes helping the Mayor with arranging festivals, donations, etc. She loves old books restorations. Wears glasses.
Loves: Veggie ramen Hates: Fish

@theresthesnitch @theesteemedladydebourgh @mppmaraudergirl & @joyseuphoria thank you so much for including me in the tag game! 🥰🥰🥰Your idea was to make an easy access list of fics and the nominations they got, and turn it into a tag game!
I can’t get over the amount of wonderful fics nominated and how much work this must have been for @jilyawards to arrange, honestly stunning level of dedication to the fandom, you should get a bloody prize tbh ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Also can’t get over being nominated for favourite author (frankly ridiculous, is that you bestie?) and favourite reviewer (okay I do read a lot but I haven’t been able to keep up!!?)
A Little Risk
Nominated for:
Favourite Lily characterisation, favourite James characterisation, favourite AU & favourite Multichapter
Tumblr media
1938, falling in love on the eve of World War II. The Duke of Grimmauld and his butler are murdered, and Private Investigator Lily Evans and Detective Inspector Remus Lupin and are brought in to investigate. But what secrets are the duke’s eldest son, Sirius Black, and his best friend, Dr James Potter, hiding? A fascist-bashing, murder mystery AU. (WIP, 9 chapters)
The Prank - Boys Don’t Cry
Nominated for:
Favourite angst, favourite James characterisation
Tumblr media
“You’ve got me. I’m your brother now,” James said, quietly, confidently.
Sirius clenched his jaw. He would not cry, Merlin, damn it.
“You’re not my brother, Potter,” he said.
Derisively, dismissively, coldly.
He watched a flicker of hurt cross James’ face, replaced by something else. He watched as his friend picked up an apple and bit into it, placing a hand behind his head, crossing his long legs.
“I know that,” James said. “But you’re mine.” (5/5 chapters)
Wildflowers
Nominated for:
Favourite angst
Tumblr media
“Hold still for a minute!”
James is lying on his back, hands behind his head, the warm afternoon sunshine on his closed eyelids, a stupid grin on his face. He half opens an eye and blinks up at her.
“Evans, what are you doing?” his voice heavy with Summer stupor.
“Oxeye daisy,” she replies.
Her hands thread through his hair, small fingers nimbly moving, wordless magic twisting the stem into place. (One shot)
The Great Quidditch Bake Off
Nominated for:
Favourite Fluff
“The Sacred Twenty-Eight is a British all-round nonsense. Look, the important thing is that Umbridge is a bigoted, fascist tosser, and she’s going to try to discriminate against the bakers who aren’t- “ Sirius said.
The judges were heading over to Lily’s table. Fucking bloody fucking…
“Excuse me! Minnie! Professor! Oi! Over here!” James walked right in front of the camera, waving his arms in the air.
Umbridge looked at him in shock, as McGonagall hurried over, a severe look on her already stern face.
“Potter, stop whipping up stress like it’s egg whites!” McGonagall glared at him over her specs. “What on earth- “ (2/4 chapters)
Tight Quidditch Uniforms & Other Distressing Things
Nominated for:
Favourite Humor
Tumblr media
James Potter was now staring at his attractive friend, holding onto Evans’ waist, Evans who looked bloody gorgeous in her beautiful muggle dress, like a vision... wait, what? And Sirius still wearing his tight Quidditch gear, which for some bloody stupid, godforsaken reason he seemed to have charmed to fit him too tightly, look at his bloody arse that was fucking ridiculous, and WHAT DO YOU MEAN “THEN THE PASSION FLARES”!?!?! (2/2 chapters)
Wedding Nerves
Nominated for:
Favourite fluff
Tumblr media
“Get a room,” Peter grumbled as they all headed to the kitchen, James still with his arms around her, now swatting Peter with a tea towel.
“We are, a villa actually, flying to Florence in two days’ time,” he said.
“Thank Godric for a bit of peace,” Sirius said.
“Oh, are you joining them so?” Remus asked.
“Fuck off, Moony.”

Books!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Friends, Romans, countrymen, please, beg no more! For all two of you who have asked, here is my list of my favorite books from my Goodreads of the past year or so (rated, because I have some free time and love having opinions)
·        The Passion of Dolssa by Julia Berry
Rated: 8.5/10
This books has everything!
Peasants
Unreliable narrators
Prostitutes
Ugly people as main characters and romantic leads
A girl who bangs our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her dreams
o   Actual summary: This book is split between multiple perspectives (mainly the titular Dolssa and a young woman named Botille), as well as (fictional) written accounts or interrogations conducted by clergymen into the issue of Dolssa, a young mystic being pursued for heresy during the time of the Inquisition. The story follows Dolssa’s journey of faith and attempts to avoid capture, a clergyman’s attempts to find her and execute her, and the experiences of a young woman who finds and protects Dolssa from her pursuers. It’s cool as hell, and it talks about one of my favorite aspects of religious history, female mystics (women who had dreams of speaking to Jesus, or even being in relationships with him. Some people saw them as prophets and holy women, others saw them as blasphemers. It’s a really interesting and complicated topic and this book covers it in such a cool way!)
YA, so she doesn’t bang Jesus on screen. Sorry to disappoint
·        The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring by J R R Tolkien (Jirt)
Rated: 9/10
One of the most bangin’ books of all time. You know it. You love it. If you haven’t seen the movies, go watch them. Or read the books (which I myself am only just beginning). Although personally I’d recommend seeing the movies first because the writing is a little complicated at times and it helps to have a point of reference to fully understand what’s going on, if I’m being completely honest. Once you get used to the writing style though, it's so immersive and the world it creates is simultaneously beautiful, homey/familiar, otherworldly, and frightening. God tier shit
·        The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner
Rated: 7.5/10
Not my FAVORITE thing I’ve read all year, but overall a super interesting mix of historical fiction and contemporary fiction. This book has two timelines: one of an apothecary in the late 1700s who dispenses poisons to women who wish to kill the men in their lives, and one of an amateur historian trying to solve the mystery of these snippets of information she keeps finding about a possibly murderous apothecary who lived centuries before. It’s very cool, and the only reason I put it lower on the list is because I thought the ending dragged on too long. Big fan!
·        The Song of the Jade Lily by Kirsty Manning
Rated: 10/10
Okay so I’m realizing as I write this list that this was just the year of me reading historical fiction like a maniac. Anyways, this is also a split timeline, historical fiction and contemporary fiction novel. The first timeline covers the experiences of a young Jewish refugee whose family fled to Shanghai following Kristellnacht, but are unable to avoid the war entirely as tension and violence builds in China. The other timeline covers the granddaughter of this refugee, who returns to China to try to learn more about her deceased mother’s birth family (as the mother was adopted by her grandparents, the Jewish refugees). It’s less complicated than it sounds, I swear. I’ve been telling everyone I know to read this one, and now I’m telling you guys to read it. It made me cry, which is a big recommendation imo.
·        Circe by Madeline Miller
Rated: 500/10
THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ IN THE PAST YEAR
I don’t know if I’ve expressed this enough on here but I am a MASSIVE mythology nerd, and Madeline Miller my beloved is a classical historian and writer. This book delves into the life of the witch Circe (of Odyssey, and turning men into pigs, fame), reimagining her from a black and white villain into someone more sympathetic, someone you actually root for. I will say this book has themes of violence against women and sexual assault, so skip it if that’s not something you want to read about. I absolutely adored this book though.
·        The Song of Achilles, also by Madeline Miller
Rated: 8/10
This is less good than Circe but it’s still good! It’s also YA rather than adult fiction so it’s tamer
This is a love story about the Greek hero Achilles and his friend Patroclus, taking place from the time that they’re children to when they go off to fight in the Trojan War. If you’re familiar with the Iliad, you know these guys. If you’re not… well, I won’t spoil it. But I read this book in one sitting. The writing is amazing, I loved the characters, it’s well-paced. You’ll love it. Give it a shot.
·        Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King
Rated: 9.5/10
This whole book is written as a monologue, which is so damn cool. The whole thing is told as a woman in her 60s confessing to two murders: one that she was actually arrested for, and the other from about thirty years earlier. C’mon, guys, it’s Stephen King. I don’t need to tell you that it’s damn good. You KNOW it’s damn good. I listened to this as an audiobook in my car and I used to think of places to go just for an excuse to drive somewhere and listen to it.
·        Honorable mentions
(aka, I can’t tell you if these books are ACTUALLY good, or if I’m just obsessed with them. I love them though, and that’s enough for them to make the list) (These are both by the same author, and friends who have listened to me clown about these books are probably already laughing at me)
o   Mo Dao Zu Shi, or “The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation” by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
Rated: you would ask me to rate my blorbos?? On this, a blorbo blog?
Oh god. How the fuck do I explain this book. Okay so it’s about magical ghost/demon-fighting warriors in Ancient China. That’s important to know right off the bat. The main character, Wei Wuxian, was one of the most powerful members of his generation, but he was killed for his crimes after essentially becoming a necromancer to get revenge on his enemies and win a war. However, years after his death, he wakes up in the body of somebody who sold his soul in exchange for Wei Wuxian to come back and take revenge on his behalf. So now Wei Wuxian is back, and getting dragged into mysteries and intrigue and the like, all while trying to hide who he actually is. Also he falls in love and it’s great, so happy for him.
This book is rated 17+ and has smut in the back half, so skip this if that’s not your thing
If that’s NOT your thing, I still recommend the animated series or the live action adaptation (The Untamed), both of which have no smut. However, they also leave out the romance in general because of Chinese censorship laws, so you win some you lose some in that regard. They’re both great adaptations otherwise
o   The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System, also by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
Rated: the main character is not a blorbo, but truly just feels like a personal friend of mine who happens to be a messy bitch. Still morally obligated not to rate it. Shen Yuan, you stupid whore, I love you
Okay, so there’s this guy named Shen Yuan who is a hater, an anti, an internet troll. He just goes online and leave mean reviews on this popular web novel called Proud Immortal Demon Way. He hates this book so much that it’s like, all he has energy for. All he does is read this book and get mad about it. Terrible. Anyways he hates it so much that he chokes and dies while reading the last chapter, and he wakes up as the “scum villain” of the novel. There is a System that communicates with him (kind of like the instructions of a video game, but sentient). This System basically tells him that he can either make the story better himself since he hates it so much, or he can sit down and shut up. So he has to change the novel from the inside as a character, and if he fails to he’ll die in the same brutal, torturous way that the original character does.
Somebody please read this it’s taken over my life
This is actually my favorite book that I’ve read in the last year, and the hardest one to actually recommend to people because like… read at your own risk.
Warnings for violence, toxic relationship dynamics, internalized homophobia, and uh. Dubious consent in the back half. You’ll know when it’s coming, just skip it if you need to

Twisted Wonderland x Date A Live (Outfit) - Rook Hunt
Art Process of Begonia here! (currently not available)
Collection of TWSTxDAL Tracks here!
Blue Begonia - This flower represents dark thoughts and cautiousness. This flower is known for  warning others of dangers or misfortune in the near future. It is also a sign of individuality and uniqueness.
For blue, it is a sign of artistry, passion, and creativity. Usually this flower is given to those who are worthy or understanding enough to accept the beauty of this peculiar flower.
Previous:  “Effort is critical and essential to reach your goal. The ruthless, the hopeless, the beautiful and the ugly have all done the same. Even if people dry up like potatoes, I will persevere - and I will NOT falter.” [ Agapanthus ] here.
“My arrows have pierced the strongest of hearts, and my joy is unwavering - for beauty is at thy side. Let us celebrate till morn, and fill our cups with merriment. For the time has come, to dance till our final breath.”
“Shall we dance, my Dearest Vil?”
(NOTE: This is absolutely free! But NOT free to steal credit from! PLEASE CREDIT MY ART AND MUSIC, AND ASK FOR PERMISSION FROM ME!!!)
(Also comments, criticism, reblogs and likes  are appreciated! I enjoy seeing them because they brighten my day  ( ◜◒◝ )♡)
If you’re into some Pomefiore plot, please - continue below~.
A word from appleb0mb:
I am INCREDIBLY pleased with how the cover looks! LIKE OMG INCOMING BAD VIBES FROM ROOK-
I EVEN LISTENED TO THE SONG MULTIPLE TIMES JUST TO LOOK AT THE COVER
Begonia here was kind of hard, but overall it was a lot easier than Agapanthus fOR SURE.
In conclusion, I am extremely EXCITED and ECSTATIC to release Begonia! Thank you for listening as well, and stay tuned!
The Concept of the Track - Begonia:
In the beginning it was a simple, scrapped draft that was lying in the corner while the previous song, Agapanthus was being edited to completion.
When I first opened the music file, it did feel kind of Rook-like but it didn’t hit me like a truck for this song. It was boring, cringe, catchy...but annoyingly catchy in a way. It didn’t feel like the Rook we know and love - so I decided to do another one instead.
For Rook he’s known as enigmatic and eccentric (well in my opinion), so I definitely wanted his theme to sound that way. But if I’m going to be honest here - the whole theme sounds jumbled up.
The theme sounds like a tiring, never-ending journey of adrenaline rush...except the ending is rather unexpected! I never expected the guitar to be even in the last bits of music there but...it somehow did. (:’)))))))
To summarize, Begonia is an amazing track for Rook and for my ears. Not a bop, but it works for me (lol). I hope it sounds great to your eyes too, oh great reader ( ╰(´꒳`)╯).
Imagery and Ideas From Listening to Begonia:
In the beginning I imagine Rook bowing to Vil amusingly, lowering his hat while looking sus.
Also I imagine him in game mode using multiple arrows to hit his opponent (you) and Vil sometimes helping him by adding poison to the arrows.
That’s it lol
TWSTxDAL Plot - Continuation!
Warning - long reading ahead!
Note: This is not a full continuation of the story in Agapanthus to avoid spoilers. These can be consider teasers of the upcoming story.
A mysterious figure laid above the roof of the glamorous villa, their hands twirling a freshly-bloomed Begonia. Its sapphire petals laid bare to unwithered skin - basked with warm, welcoming rays of the evening sun. Emerald eyes fixated on the meticulous veins of the petal, before subtly shifting its glance to the person next to him. “Good afternoon, Vil.” “Same to you, Rook.” His light, blonde curls bounced as he spoke. “May I ask why you had to call me on top of the roof?” Rook roared with laughter. “Roi de Poison, I want to reconsider the contest that has commenced two weeks ago.” “If it has something to do with that Invidaé potato and those Spirits, I’m not allowing them to join for VDCI.” “Dearest Vil, I understand that they may be a disadvantage...but maybe if you reflect carefully and ponder on the subject - this could be the most fantastic opportunity yet.” Breathless silence befell the two, as Rook’s words sunk deeply into his thoughts. “An opportunity?” Vil huffed in wry amusement. “Explain how conjuring unstable in one place can be considered an opportunity.” “That’s the thing, *mon ange. You want to be even more successful and modern, right? If we bring the Spirits on our side, then maybe the whole world will express a change of heart.” “Rook...we can’t do that - it’s not time yet.”His lavender eyes shifted to tile roofs, glaring at it.“Failing to properly prepare for the worst, is like begging for disaster and danger.” “*Mon bégonia bleu...” His scarred, veined hands wrapped around the blonde’s unblemished, lily-white ones. Emerald and lavender met one another, their gaze unwavering and sparkling in the apricot sun. “We never know what the future may hold.” His grip tightened, unwilling to let go. Moments later, Rook’s hands gently moved a strand out of Vil’s face; before planting his hair with the begonia. “I understand that you may not be ready. I will wait with you, but if there’s a time to begin - it is now.” Instantly, Vil pulled away and stood up hastily. “Enough of the dramatics, we've arranged an appointment in the next hour.” He uttered before turning his back to the golden-haired being. “Meantime, I’ll consider it. Also, Rook - don’t touch my face. I put my life’s work into it.” A radiant smile and chuckle escaped his lips. “Apologies, Vil.” With speed, Rook descended smoothly to the ground of the villa before catching a slightly trembled Vil in his hold. Forcefully, Vil sped inside the front door while Rook simply followed after, all while maintaining an enthusiastic smile on his face.
Words: mon ange - my angel  ||  mon bégonia bleu - my blue begonia

Once you stopped laughing with your panic, you did what any other logically thinking person would do and rang the police. And you waited at your front door, not touching anything within your home in case you tampered the evidence further. You were already scolding yourself for eating the food prepared for you. What if it had been poisoned? You thankfully didn’t feel any worse off with your cold, if anything, you felt loads better.
Still, the anxiety ran high within you until the two officers finished checking everything over.
“It looks like the person who did this knows you intimately,” Constable Park said with a brief frown. “We’ll run the fingerprints we’ve managed to find through our system to see if they’re in it but I’m not sure what more help we can give you, Miss L/N.”
“Thank you, Constable, I appreciate your efforts all the same.”
“You said you’re a famous author, right?”
You grimaced. “I wouldn’t say famous.”
“I’ve heard of your name before,” Officer Yoon mentioned with a sheepish grin when you glanced at him in surprise. He chuckled as he rubbed the back of his neck. “My girlfriend reads your stories.”
“Ah. Please tell her I said thanks.”
“Could I actually get your autograph to give to her? I’d be in her best books for-”
“Dowoon!” Constable Park cut in sternly, causing the taller man to shrink back.
“I don’t mind,” you offered and headed back to your office for a pen and paper. You stopped when you noticed your favourite pen was missing. Surmising it had been moved during the police search; you reached for another pen and then wrote down a quick message for the young officer’s girlfriend before signing it.
You stopped again, staring at the message still displayed on your screen.
Your biggest fan.
Constable Park was back at your side again and you glanced up at him. “You mentioned just now about me being known and the message here…”
“Just make sure you keep the doors locked and maybe invite someone around to stay with you for the time being. As harmless as it’s all been, we do have more than one fingerprint detected today. Since you live alone and haven’t had anyone over in some time, we can confirm there was a second person in here last night. I know it’s easy to spend time being grateful to your avid followers but be careful with who you share your personal information with.”
A chill shuddered its way down your spine and you nodded hastily, taking the card the man held out. He smiled comfortingly. “If you have any other problems, Miss L/N, this is my direct line. Contact me right away, okay?”
“Thank you, Constable Park,” you replied weakly, reading the card and finding that his first name was Sungjin. You smiled when you looked back up at him. “I appreciate it.”
“Alright Dowoon, let’s head out and I’ll be in contact when we’ve checked the database,” Sungjin – Constable Park – stated and you nodded once more as you handed the autograph to his colleague. Dowoon grinned bashfully and thanked you all the way back to your front door, where you fare-welled the pair.
And promptly locked and latched the front door.
You had lived alone since your early twenties, too independent to work well with roommates. Whilst you had started out in a small, frigid apartment, you had cherished the space alone to create your fantasies into novels. You had only moved to your modest villa within the last year and adopted Binks, the only company you needed on a daily basis outside of your characters.
You weren’t recluse by any means, you just preferred your own company. Socialising was exhausting for your introverted ways, and even though you wanted to play it safe, you slumped down on the couch after the police left and groaned at how exhausting today had been so far.
“I’m sick, that’s adding to it,” you said out loud, and then caught yourself doing so, snapping back upright in your position. “I talk out loud to myself a lot, don’t I?”
Of course, your belongings didn’t reply. And Binks had gone into hiding when Sungjin and Dowoon were here, being afraid of men entirely.
Thinking over the care the stranger had given to even your cat, you decided they had to be female. It didn’t ease your mind any assigning a gender to this person. But it did help you feel as if you were getting somewhere with the mystery behind it.
“And once the police run all the necessary checks, hopefully, I’ll have more answers,” you announced, groaning when you had realised you spoke out loud again. “Oh, whatever! I don’t have to keep my thoughts locked up inside my head or spoken through my fingertips into a word document either! My house, my life!”
And with that, you got up and went back to your desk where you tried to seek out some normalcy for the rest of your day.
You checked emails before conversing with Lily who was animatedly retelling you of her reactions to the final part of the manuscript you sent her. You mentioned to her about what happened too. Lily, however, seemed to be more concerned about something you had written, after exclaiming over your safety. You watched the video screen where your editor, and probably the person who knew you the most aside from your mother, struggled with something.
You frowned. “What is it?”
“You didn’t put your usual The End at the final part for me.”
“Yes I did,” you corrected, leaning back in your chair. “You know me. I always put it at the end of every manuscript so you can’t nag me for more words. The End means I’m not adding to this story anymore!”
“You didn’t put it, Y/N,” she repeated, glancing up at you curiously through her laptop’s camera. “You put something else.”
“Look, I’ll prove it to you,” you announced with pure conviction, clicking on the word document icon on the taskbar and then stopped momentarily when you finally noticed that the story was still open. “That’s strange. I know I closed out of it last night.”
“Out of what?” she asked as you clicked on the tab and watched the document appear on the screen.
You immediately gasped. There, after the final scene of Charli and Brian, was no longer The End as Lily had announced. Instead, the words, To Be Continued had been placed there.
“I didn’t put that there,” you whispered and Lily laughed, unconvinced.
“Don’t be so dramatic, Y/N! Who else would have?”
“I sent it to you right after I finished and I swear I had The End written there.”
“Maybe your writing muse changed it on you,” she teased but you didn’t join her in the amusement. She sensed your shock and blinked a couple of times before focusing back on you. “You really didn’t do it?”
“What if they changed the whole story?!” you shrieked as you jumped to the worst conclusion, scrolling up until you found the line that Brian had spoken to Charli about waiting for an eternity for her. You relaxed a little when everything appeared to be in order. “Maybe I’ll name the third book in this series, Eternity.”
“Wow, just like that, you calmed down,” Lily observed and then nodded. “I like that.”
“I don’t know. I’m just a little sensitive.”
“You were taking medicine last night for the cold, right?” You nodded at Lily’s question and the woman smiled knowingly. “Maybe you took too much at once and hallucinated a little. Or blacked out and can’t remember much.”
“I’m changing it back to The End,” you told her, typing it as you did so. Closing the document, you smiled brightly at the video call. “I’m not adding any further words to Captivated, you hear me? You work your editing magic and I’ll catch up with you later.”
“Yes, Boss!” she cheered, waving to end the call and you powered off your laptop then, making sure to shut the lid down as well.
After finding Binks, you scooped him up in your arms, checked all the doors a final time before heading off to bed for much-needed rest.
You were still a little sick, after all.
Tumblr media
You awoke to the sound of your phone ringing the following morning and blearily reached out to silence it. “Hello?”
“Miss L/N?” a deep voice asked and you sat up a little, blinking away your sleep. “This is Constable Park. We met yesterday regarding your intrusion issue?”
“Sungjin,” you immediately said and then gripped at your blankets at your first name slip-up. Clearly, you were still grappling with becoming alert enough for proper etiquette.
He chuckled lightly. “Yes, shall I call you Y/N?”
“If it makes the situation still work well, be my guest.”
“Well, I’m not sure how happy you’ll be to have me calling you by your name, Y/N, in a moment.”
“No?”
“The results are in and there’s no fingerprint matching that in our database. Whilst that’s bad news for us to immediately act upon it, it doesn’t diminish the fact that someone had been there either.”
Despite being under your blankets, you ran cold, wrapping your spare arm around you to try and warm yourself back up. “I see. Does this mean you can’t do anything?”
“I’m afraid so. If you find anyone suspicious in your house or lurking around the outside, don’t hesitate to call me, okay?”
“Of course, thank you, Sungjin.”
“You’re the first person I’ve been called out to that’s called me by my first name, you know.”
“Do you find me rude for doing so?”
“It’s refreshing,” he admitted and you couldn’t help but smile at the thought of being something different for the man. You then bit at your lip, realising you were overreacting all because a man in uniform had stepped into your home.
Okay, so Sungjin was really handsome. And you were deprived of seeing such handsome outside of your stories. Whilst he was no Brian Kang, he would definitely make for a great love story counterpart in a new world. Perhaps he helped the main protagonist and became her protector. Or maybe –
“Y/N?” Sungjin said and you blinked rapidly out of your racing thoughts, coughing a little to cover your embarrassment. “You okay?”
“Sorry, I’m still recovering from this fever,” you admitted, fanning at your face for effect. “Did you say anything else?”
“Yeah, I just told you to keep safe, okay? I don’t need to be worrying about you needlessly, right?”
Oh, you were so going to get up right after this phone call and start typing out these ideas flashing through your mind. However, you gave a moment more to the police officer and confirmed you would call him at the first sign of trouble before ending the call.
Springing up from your bedding, you dashed into your office and perched on the edge of your chair as you opened your laptop and turned it on. You were relieved to find everything in your office in the right place as you opened a new word document and tapped furiously on your keyboard to get down all your ideas for your new police officer au story.
And when you were finally done, you leaned back in your chair and giggled. You weren’t always inspired by people who stepped into your world, but this was solid content you couldn’t ignore.
“Perhaps it’ll help me live out my Sungjin desires too,” you admitted sheepishly before glancing at your pen stand. You remembered about the missing pen and searched on top of your desk and then scooted your chair back to look on the floor. “Where did you go, favourite pen?”
Not finding it anywhere, you pouted right as your stomach grumbled. “Ah,” you said weakly, clutching your stomach in your hand. “I best feed myself and Binks. Hopefully, that pen will turn back up.”
Once you had eaten and quietened Binks’ demands for his morning affection, you got dressed and readied yourself for a trip out to the grocery store. Next, you had to write out a list of what you needed and went back into your office, sitting down at your desk and reaching for some paper.
Your attention turned to your laptop, where you found your favourite pen sitting upon it. “What the…”
And looking up at the screen, another message awaited you.
Sorry, I didn’t realise I had taken it with me after writing you the notes.
Glancing around yourself, you froze with the fear that rose within. You hadn’t heard anyone inside the house during this time. Yet, there was proof someone had come in again. You looked to the window, it was firmly shut. There was no way anyone could have gotten inside the house without walking passed you first.
You then started to shake.
Had they been in here all night long again?
Just as you went to get up and fetch your phone to ring Sungjin back, you noticed a second tab open on the document screen.
It was Captivated. And once again, the last words read, To Be Continued.

Once again, Ruiz Zafón takes us into a dark, gothic Barcelona and creates a breathtaking tale of intrigue, romance, and tragedy” (Amazon.com)
10.  All This I Will Give to You by Dolores Redondo
“When novelist Manuel Ortigosa learns that his husband, Álvaro, has been killed in a car crash, it comes as a devastating shock. It won’t be the last. He’s now arrived in Galicia. It’s where Álvaro died. It’s where the case has already been quickly closed as a tragic accident. It’s also where Álvaro hid his secrets. The man to whom Manuel was married for fifteen years was not the unassuming man he knew. Álvaro’s trail leads Manuel deep into one of Spain’s most powerful and guarded families. Behind the walls of their forbidding estate, Manuel is nothing but an unwelcome and dangerous intruder. Then he finds two allies: a stubbornly suspicious police lieutenant and Álvaro’s old friend—and private confessor—from seminary school. Together they’re collecting the pieces of Álvaro’s past, his double life, and his mysterious death. But in the shadows of nobility and privilege, Manuel is about to unravel a web of corruption and deception that could be as fatal a trap for him as it was for the man he loved.” (Amzon.com).
