Have you ever stopped to think that...

Caul was appearing in Peregrine's dreams and this may have contributed to her sleeping less in "map of days. Precisely to avoid nightmares about him and out of concern for the children too. But when Millard put her in a "coma" with Mother Dust's dust, she was trapped in a sleep from which she couldn't wake up for many hours. Caul must have disturbed her for all those endless hours of "sleep".

or "Why Horatio is the deepest and most underrated mphfpc character"

Horatio appeared twice in A Map of Days and Conference of the Birds /don’t remember exactly, this two fused together in my head/and literally starring in last ten chapters of The Desolations of Devil's Acre.

He has more context in his few chapters of presence than anyone else has in six books!

His contradictory feelings for H, the decision to protect the children by prioritizing their lives over his own even though he doesn't have to actually. The consequences are for adults [yeah, Jacob?], so Horatio loses his arm while saving kids. None of other characters were injured equally.

Horatio is responsible and has a strong sense of duty. He's also the only person in the damn series who speaks straight without being inappropriately mysterious. Jacob needed it. I needed it.

Horatio is stoic, strong and golden-hearted mentor figure im not sure about father figure i see him more like teacher / mentor

Horatio's appearance

We have this picture in book and i like it BUT he was described in the text as blond so—

He looks so young my poor little meow meow;;

— so I immediately associated him with Nanami Kento from Jujutsu Kaisen anime

Nanami-san is sharing same character features [stoic, strong and golden-hearted mentor figure]. He's calm and responsible. ALSO! he’s wearing glasses completely covering his eyes almost all the time.

Stylish... handsome man...

All right, all right, I'll stop simping! Just one more thing! His way of speaking sounds a little mechanical, so the voiceover suits Horatio, too

You know, I think I figured out a good way to describe Jacob’s parents using the Tales of the Peculiar.

Maryann: The Splendid Cannibals

•Very wealthy, vain and prideful. Maryann often boasts about expensive furniture and parades people about to show them. She often expands her house and never uses it (like the fancy kitchen - but she never cooks). They live in a 5 bedroom house that doesn’t really get lived in until Miss Peregrine and the children visit.

Franklin: The Locust (with a twist)

•In the beginning, he is quite harsh to his son and doesn’t really understand him. Nor does he really try to. The father believes his son is too “soft” and tries to make him into a man by pushing away his son’s interests (and his son in general). Once his son runs away to be with “people” (creatures) like him, he realizes he made a mistake and wants nothing more than his son to return to him, for life isn’t the same.

•His son returns one day, and he’s ecstatic. The father finally learned how to appreciate his son, to love him for who he is. He accepts his quirks and strangeness. They’re a happy family again

*This would be a lovely comparison if it actually played out this way between Jacob and Franklin at the beginning of A Map of Days. But in their case, Franklin never learned to love his son once he returned. He still shunned Jacob for choosing the people like him instead of his actual “family.”

So peculiar souls are located in the feet. I was thinking that they got little sacks in there connected to another extra circulatory system that goes through the entire body, that pumps the soul through it when a peculiar is using their peculiarity (or it does that at all times, in case of permanent invisible peculiars for example)

That extra circulatory system can develop right after birth (or before that, in the womb) or later in life, whenever a peculiar develops their peculiarity
