Before I Lost My Sight

"Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle" Yomi & Youko Kurama Event

This event was first held on August 7th, 2020. The story takes place 1,000 years ago, and it is about Yomi's past.

Story: Yomi has now become the youkai that represents Gandara. It is said that he used to be a hot-blooded who also had a ruthless side, a side that would throw his own fellows to the wolves. During the time when he was working as bandit with Kurama, he acted selfishly and encountered a tough yokai...

Youkai A: The bandits have escaped! Chase them!

Youkai Kurama: *gasp*! (gasping for air)

Yomi: *puff*

Time goes back 1,000 years. The eyes of Yomi had not yet lost their light.

Kurama was the general, and Yomi was the second in command. Their positions were the exact opposite of what they are now.

The two were eager to make a name for themselves as an emerging force in the Demon World...

(Youko and Yomi's gang is attacked)

Subordinate: Guaah...

Yomi: Damn, you're useless...

Youko Kurama:......

Yomi: Hmph ... Kurama, hurry up.

Yomi was hot tempered and overconfident.

He has sacrificed many of his men, leaving them to die.

Hereafter, the calamity that will befall Yomi is going to drastically change his destiny.

[Yomi and his men head to a castle to rob]

Subordinate A: Yomi-san, are you sure this castle is really safe? Kurama-san also told us not to go there...

Yomi: Hmph, are you scared? Then, you shouldn't come.

Subordinate A: Oh, no ... That's not it...

Ignoring Kurama's restraints, Yomi repeated selfish actions.

Taking any risks, many of his subordinates were sacrificed.

Yomi: Good grief, what a good-for-nothing!

Even when he saw his men losing their lives, he felt nothing. Instead, he even thought they were a burden.

"It wouldn't have changed anything if I had come alone". When he was bustling around the castle with that thought in mind...

*k-ttchk* (sound of metal opening, Yomi falls)

Yomi: Aaargh!!!

Yomi: Damn ... pitfalls, how dare using dirty tricks on me...

Yomi: Huh!

Youkai: Hehehehe.....

Yomi: *gulp*...

Yomi: At this rate, my life...

(Someone attacks the group of youkai)

Youkai: Guaaah...!

Yomi: Yo-you...!

Youko Kurama:......

Youkai Kurama: That personality of yours ... will get you killed someday.

Yomi:.....!

Yomi: He's the general, so what!? If only I hadn't fallen for this trap...

Yomi: Just one more step, and the credit would have been mine!

Yomi: *swallow hard*...

"That personality of yours, will get you killed someday."

He was relieved that he was snatched from the jaws of death. On the one hand, Yomi could not get those words out of his mind.

[Yomi heard about valuable treasures in a certain castle, and...]

Yomi: It seems like valuable treasures have been collected in that castle.

Yomi: Perhaps at this time, news have already spread and other bandits will also come after them.

Yomi: Before that happens, we'll collect them all!

Subordinates: Yes!

Yomi: All right, let's go!

Yomi: ......

Youko Kurama: That personality of yours ... will get you killed someday.

T/N: It seems Yomi can't get Youko's words out of his head. He is lost in his thoughts while his subordinates are trying to call him.

Subordinate B: ...mi-san, Yomi-san!!!

Yomi: Huh...

Subordinate B: If we turn left on this road, the castle will be just around the corner.

Yomi:...I get it.

(After taking the left...)

Yomi: ...There's nothing here.

Yomi: You bastard, aren't we in the wrong place!?

Subordinate C: No, the map shows it this way...

Yomi: Bloody hell, what the hell is going on!?

Subordinate B: Guahhhh!!

(An unknown youkai ??? shows up)

???: Take that!!!

Subordinates: Guahh ... waaahhh!

Yomi: Wha-...

Yomi: What the hell is that monster!?

[Yomi VS Unknown Youkai]

*clash*! (clash of swords)

Yomi: Damn ... urrgh ...!

Yomi: Who the hell are you?!

???: Heh...

???: *Yaahh!* (war-cry)

Yomi: Waaaaahhhh...

Yomi: This guy's power ... he is different from others!

Yomi: I'll be killed at this rate!

Yomi: What do you want!?

*clash*! *clash*!

???: Heh!

???: You're finished!

???: Hyaaah!

Yomi: Ugh...

Yomi: Agghhh!!

[Yomi's eyes were hit, but he manages to inflict damage on the youkai]

Yomi: Urrgh..!

???: Waaahhh!

???:.....

Yomi: Rewar..."Life is more important than a reward"?

Yomi: Wait ... who...

Yomi: Waaah ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Unable to get the truth out of the youkai , Yomi lost his footing and fell from a cliff.

"I have no choice but to wait for help here." Thinking so, he waited for Kurama to appear, but...

No matter how much time passed, he never showed up.

Youko Kurama: That personality of yours ... will get you killed someday.

Yomi: Haha ... at times like this, those words...

Yomi: Kurama ... you are always thinking three steps ahead of everybody else...

*thud* (Yomi collapses)

Yomi: No one came to my rescue. I collapsed from exhaustion.

Yomi: And that's how I lost my eyesight.

[After 1,000 years / Present-Day]

Yomi: How are you feeling?

Youkai who blinded Yomi: *puff puff*, *puff puff*, *puff puff*...

Youkai who blinded Yomi: Ki-kill ... me...

Yomi: Hmph.

Yomi: I finally managed to catch you. I won't kill you so easily...

Youkai who blinded Yomi: Ugh ... *puff puff*, *puff puff*

Youda: Yomi-sama.

Yomi: What is it?

Youda: It's almost time for the council of war.

Yomi: I see, is it that late already? We have to go immediately.

Youda: Yes. Well then, this way.

Yomi: Aah, yes.

Yomi: Despite being attacked by a youkai, I never gave up hope of living. Finally, I built up my own country.

Yomi: Thanks to the loss of my sight, I am able to see things I couldn't see before.

Yomi: I have come to repent of my own stupidity. The only ambition I have left is to unify the Demon World, nothing more.

Yomi: My lost light, it continues illuminating my path.

Yomi: Before the light dims ... I will definitely make my ambition come true.

I wish we knew more about Youko's past. It's sad that the Yu Yu Hakusho series didn't focus so much on the other characters like HunterxHunter does.

That personality of yours ... will get you killed someday. I love when Youko says that in a very cold way. His voice actor, Shigeru Nakahara, did a wonderful job. Young Yomi had a very selfish look on his face, I prefer older Yomi, he's more beautiful too.

Yakuza 0 tier list but it's how I would feel about taking each character to Chili's (not all are an exact 1-to-1 of how much I like them -- more a mix of how much I like them and what kind of character they are)

I'll always love that Majima hired Doll girl's mum at the hostess club, she was in a lot of debt and by doing that he gave her a sturdy job with a boss (him) that would make sure she was treated well. Even better that she was genuinely popular and good at it, in her cute little mumsy cardigan.

Plus I just love the idea that by doing so, Majima was looking out for the little girl himself- she wouldn't be waiting around outside an arcade all night because there was a perfectly comfortable back room filled with nice girls, pretty dresses, make up and a table to do homework and colouring in for her at club sunshine, even after he left.

#i believe in Yuki and Youda- they would have kept the mum on since she was a good hostess #anyway imagining all the girls bonding with her is cute #also imagining Majima very begrudgingly letting her do a makeover on him one night #and I mean very begrudgingly #he's sat there as she carefully applies the most purple of eyeshadows (it matches your eyebags!)#the most pink blush across his cheeks #the reddest lipstick on his lips #takes his hair down and puts some clips and bows in it #She did have her eye on a sparkly black dress but he wont go that far 😔 (for now...)#Her own living dolly #Aw thats cute #I do wish I could have made over her mum and the osaka grandma though- very perturbed that i couldnt #anyway #hcs #goro majima #yakuza 0

Okay, I actually like the Cabaret Czar minigame a lot compared to the Business minigame from Like a Dragon. Already took down Club Mars!

Played dress-up with Yuki for a bit (some time before taking down Mars). But I really...really...REALLY sucked at Disco. Can anyone explain or send me a good tutorial on how to get better at that? Also where can I find more girls, aside from spending points at Shrines?

Summer Night Feast

"Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle" Summer Event

This summer event was first held from July 13th to July 31st, 2020. It shows Mukuro, Yomi and Raizen enjoying a summer festival before war broke out between the countries. It's great to see Raizen having fun with Enki, Koko and his other friends.

Story: The three great youkai of the Demon World: Raizen, Mukuro, and Yomi. Before the rift between their countries intensified, the tension was not as great as it is now … And, a summer festival was held in the Demon World...

Introduction

Raizen, Mukuro, Yomi…

The three major forces who represent the Demon World. No one seems to know their names.

The present Demon World has been in conflict for 500 years due to a standoff between those three.

However, before the rift between their countries intensified, it was hard to say that things were peaceful at all.

But, it seems it was not as tense as it is now.

That was when the summer festival was held in the Demon World.

What kind of expressions did the 3 most powerful youkai of the Demon World show back then?

Part 1 – Mukuro [The Devil enjoying the cool evening]

*blah blah* (background chatter)

Mukuro: Hmm … they're really charged up!

Mukuro: All the youkai have a spineless look on their faces, and are making a fuss.

Youkai A: Aah? What the hell, you're bumping into me!

Youkai B: You too! What the fuck?!

*punch*! *snap*!

Youkai C: Go, go, go! Kill'em!

Mukuro: ........

Mukuro: Even if they look spineless, the Demon World is still the Demon World…

Mukuro: But, maybe this very disorder is what makes the Demon World what it is.

Mukuro: No outrageous problems have occurred. On the other hand, it doesn't mean that the Demon World has lost its essence.

Mukuro: It would be best to maintain the status quo.

Mukuro: But, it appears that's not going to happen...

Mukuro's aide: Hey, hasn't Mukuro-sama returned yet?

Kirin: Beats me. If we are told to wait here, we don't have much choice but to obey.

Mukuro's aide: I don't know what she's thinking at all. If something happens, I am not sure if we can help.

Kirin: ...Indeed, it will be troublesome if Mukuro-sama's face becomes known in a place like this.

Kirin: What the heck, what is she doing over there...?

Mukuro: Eventually, there will be all-out war in the Demon World.

Mukuro: Now that I've been at odds with Yomi and Raizen, a clash is probably inevitable.

Mukuro: To protect the current Demon World, I will never give up...

Kirin: Mukuro-sama!

Kirin: Someone is approaching, ma'am. Please, get away from there as soon as possible.

Mukuro: ...*Sigh*. I was watching the youkai, and now this…

Mukuro: I can't even enjoy one of the festivals.

Kirin: Mukuro-sama, run away quickly, please! We will handle it from here…!

Mukuro: The Demon World is good because it's chaotic. That's my opinion, and I should reaffirm it.

Mukuro: I'm ready for all-out war!

Mukuro: I will never let the Demon World change...!

Part 2 – Yomi [The Wise Emperor enjoying the cool evening]

Yomi: Hmm...

Yomi: Even though the festival is crawling with youkai, I don't see anyone here.

Yomi: It may be an unexpectedly out-of-the-way spot.

Youda: However, Yomi-sama ... I'm afraid it's only a matter of time.

Youda: According to the information I overheard, it seems that fireworks will be launched very soon.

Youda: If so, many youkai will likely wander this way as well.

Youda: Therefore, I don't think it's safe to stay here too long.

Yomi: Yes, I know.

Yomi: But just for a minute, I have things to do. I'll return shortly, would you leave me alone?

Youda: ...*Sigh*

Yomi: .......

(Flashback)

Yomi: I used to be selfish and sly.

Yomi: I was only gazing at my own navel, and I sacrificed numerous friends...

Yomi: As a result, I even lost my light (sight).

(End of flashback)

Yomi: When I watch these floating lanterns, I can see my former friends and my foolishness in my mind's eye.

Yomi: The Demon World will descend into chaos very soon.

Yomi: Mukuro and Raizen won't remain silent forever...

Yomi: To unify the Demon World, I must also reach for the Human and Spirit Worlds.

Yomi: It is impossible to control this vast Demon World with their naive thinking.

Yomi: I will never bend my will…!

…*boom*! *boom*!

Yomi: ...Fireworks?

Yomi: Huh, isn't this good scenery suitable for a night of resolutions?

Yomi: This may be the last time I can walk alone like this.

Yomi: Let's burn this moment into the mind just a little more…

Part 3 – Raizen [Toushin enjoying the cool evening]

T/N: Raizen's title of Toushin means "god of war".

*boom*! *boom*!

Koko: TA-MA-YA!!

T/N: "Tamaya" and "Kagiya" are words shouted when a firework explodes in the sky. They were the names of famous Edo-era fireworks shops, and shouting them is a way of praising the fireworks.

Koko: Hey, what is it?! Is this all that's left?!

Koko: I haven't had enough to drink yet!

Enki: Hey, that's enough already…

Koko: Shut up, geezer!

(Koko punches Enki)

Enki: Ouch!

Souketsu: Oi! You, metal guy!

T/N: During his fight with Shuu in the Makai Tournament, Souketsu teases his metal appearance. In turn, Shuu also makes fun of Souketsu’s hat and mentions they don’t have a real fight for more than 1,000 years. It's great to see Raizen's friends together, years before the cold war with Yomi and Mukuro.

Kujou: Not yet! Gahahahahahahaha!

Enki: Oh shit, good grief … They're all completely drunk…

Enki: Hey, Raizen? Why did you become quiet all of a sudden?

Raizen: Hmm, I don't know how many hours we've been fighting. This is what people call taking a break, huh.

Enki: Haha, I feel the same way.

Raizen: ........

Enki: ...Hey, what is it? You've suddenly got quiet since some time ago.

Raizen: ...Err, it's not a big deal.

Raizen: But...

Enki: But?

Raizen: It just occurred to me some time ago, I don't know how long I can keep doing this.

Raizen: You know that, right?

Enki: ...I see. I feel exactly the same way.

Raizen: Right?

Raizen: Even fun festivals must come to an end someday. I was thinking about such petty thing all by myself.

Enki: It's not petty.

Enki: You only realize the most important things, after losing them.

Raizen: Humph ... You're kinda stinking today.

Enki: Hahaha, maybe it's because of the booze.

(Koko punches Enki)

Enki: Ouch!

Koko: What are two guys getting so excited about!? Come on, there's no time to rest!

Koko: Raizen! I haven't beaten you yet!

Souketsu: Hey! Include us in the fight too!!

Raizen: Humph, they're all a bunch of cheerful guys!

Enki: Yeah … We don't even have time to watch the fireworks at ease.

Enki: Alright, you guys! Today's the festival!

Enki: Let's have a great night!

Everyone: YEAHHHHHHH!

Mukuro and Yomi are so serious! At Raizen's side, everyone is drunk (lol). Probably, after this night, Raizen met the "kuda kusushi" woman and decided to stop eating human meat. This event is prior to Hokushin's time. I'd love to see an official one-shot or OVA about the 3 kings.
