Assassin's Creed (2007, Ubisoft Montreal)

Bought this last week on Steam, I'd only ever played an hour or two of it long ago on Xbox 360.

I'm really enjoying it (except when Altair randomly decides to jump off a wall to his death) and it holds up well, though it does have very noticeable LOD pop-in and low quality shadows, unfortunately.

Fei Long Stage (Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers; “Super Street Fighter IV” Theme of Fei Long ~SSFIV Arrange~ version [2010])

I liked the heroic melody of the original, but it lasted too short, and felt like the Electric Guitar was getting in the way of it. With this version, the Electric Guitar is put further into the background, and only takes up the majority of attention around the looping part, allowing the other instruments to truly shine, especially in the context of a remaster with more sounds available. That calm section in the middle where it's almost a solo is my favorite part of this whole track! With all that in mind, I believe the extra long wait for Fei Long’s theme to get a followup after not having his own theme in the initial Street Fighter IV console release, was well worth it!

Thoughts at 230pm

I’ve had this HP Spectre X360 since at least 2015, maybe earlier and the battery died a few months ago. Which... is no good because that means you need to leave it plugged in all the time or lose even your CMOS settings.

My options were to either get a new laptop that will do what I need it to do or try and replace the battery myself.

A new laptop costs about $2,000 ... even on sale. - A new battery is about 40 bucks.

So I went on amazon and ordered a replacement battery, took apart the bottom, unplugged a few things, and swapped the new battery in and now it works just fine!

Let’s be honest, 7 years is a pretty good run for a laptop since most places say you should get a new one every 3 to 5 years. Hopefully, I’ll probably get another 3 to 5 years out of this, but eventually it’ll be time to retire it for a new one.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone (2010) Xbox360 Ranked

Pros:

Combat & Gameplay is perfectly awesome compared to games like Uncharted & Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction

Graphics are amazing

Stealth & Vehicle Levels Are interestingly cool

Well-Designed HUD

Some cons:

Sometimes some of the Vehicle levels can be hard

The Verdict

Since I finished this game last year on Xbox360 Alongside 007: Quantum of Solace (2008), This game has to be one of the best James Bond Third Person Shooter Titles and Underrated Xbox360 Games, EVER.

Reminder the Xbox 360 marketplace store closes on the 29th of July.

Just a quick reminder that this year 2024 is the last chance to buy games on the Xbox 360 digital store. While many titles have been added to the Xbox One / Xbox Series store. There is still a large number of games that were never given back catalogue support and this also includes their respective DLC. Don't leave it to the last minute to pick up stuff you want!

RED Triumphs! (Team Fortress 2 [2007, update in 2016])

Featuring another cool game with no need for introduction. While the expected Trumpets and heavier Horns fit the “spy movie” style the soundtrack usually goes for, my personal highlight goes to the constant, fast-paced rhythms made by the Percussion, which sound like they’re part of the box-shaped variety. Whether it’s that or a more traditional set of Drums, I can’t deny how much this use of Percussion makes it stand out among the other favorite tracks I’ve linked so far, so its earned its rightful place among the others in the list!
