It always astounds me when people call characters who are victims of abuse dumb and terrible for not hating their abusers and still listening to them. "Ugh why would Peril want to keep working for Scarlet after book 1 she's so stupid, she should just keep her!!" "Harry’s so awful he keeps wanting to avenge Norman despite knowing he was criminal he's such a bad person" They Were Manipulated Jennifer their abusers raised them in such a way that made them idolize them and have a hard time seeing them as bad people I don't understand how you managed to miss that important aspect of the character entirely it's starting to feel you like you are ignoring it intentionally because you don't like them

#I've seen this happen more with Peril than Harry but my point still stands #And listen as much as it would ROCK to see Peril personally rip Scarlet apart because she hates her that much #Or to see Harry get in Norman's face about how awful of a parent he was #It takes time for them to even come to terms with the fact that their parents who they've been manipulated into idolizing are bad people #And I'm so sick and tired of seeing everyone acting like characters like them are stupid and horrible for not IMMEDIATELY recognizing that #harry osborn #spider man #raimiverse #raimi trilogy #raimi spider man #wof #wings of fire #wof peril #peril wof #wings of fire peril #peg speaks

Peril!! I relate to her so much ngl. I liked the idea of her kinda curled up on herself like this, it's a mood she very much shows in the story.

I decided to keep this version

Some interesting thoughts I have for this headcanon:

Peril's feathers slowly smolder. When a wind blows there appear to ba a slignt ash trail in the air

Peril's tail is pretty long and a lot hotter on the end (you might remember similar info about my oc Mite. You can see that I like when a dragon can make use of it's tail in battle >< )

I like Skywings a lot actually. I think they were underutilized in the story. And then there is Flame. Poor, lovable Flame. One day I would like to write a more in-depth think piece on him, his character, and his role in the story. But not today, so here are some Skywings:
