Some doctor told me 10 years ago I couldn't possibly have PCOS and my awful periods were just because I hadn't gotten pregnant yet. Well now that I'm growing an actual beard (without being on T!), maybe they'll take me more seriously.

The good news is: the shots I got at the doctor yesterday have helped my back pain, as intended!
The bad news is: the act of going to the doctor, and the small handful of other low-impact errands I ran, mean that my chronic widespread pain (which is separate from the back pain) was pushed into a flare.
You win some, you lose some? I guess?

one of the most bullshit things about having trauma from your chronic health conditions is how said trauma makes the chronic health conditions worse but then the fact that i am suffering from the chronic health conditions is worsening the trauma response which is making the chronic health conditions worse which is a worsening the trauma response which is—

Very worried that Chloe will not make it to the new year. She’s having difficulty supporting herself with her hind leg. I think part is from pain medicines but I wonder if part isn’t degenerative from her amputation. She has regular cystitis flare ups and the sores on her paws are pretty unmanageable even with medicine.

I think the reason I'm starting to have trouble reading the KOTLC books is because the pain is starting to ramp up, and there is very little pay off for it. Things are starting to hurt, and hurt badly, but there's no comfort coming. I know there isn't. The good and beautiful are drowned in the sad and painful, and my will to read dwindles like Sophie Foster's will to live. The words keep growing more and more uncomfortable, like something heavy that weighs you down, drags you under, and leaves you there. It's not how like when you read a slow burn fanfic at least they're both in love. It's like what if they weren't in love and they were in pretty much constant unrest and sadness.
Kotlc has stopped having the payoff it needs to make it a good read.
It's started to have it's fun by making you feel bad things, with no reprieve. Sooner or later, you start to go numb.

Do you have any specific headcanons as to what Nemona’s disability might be? I def think she’s disabled coded (with her compression glove, inability to throw pokéballs, and getting winded a lot more easily). But I don’t know if there’s anything specific
ooh interesting question, i definitely see her as disabled coded too! i personally see it as a form of arthritis. pain and stiffness explains the compression glove, decreased range of motion would affect her ability to throw pokeballs and arthritis can affect your lungs and cause chest pains and shortness of breath. also my mom has arthritis and sometimes has to wear a compression glove all the way down her forearm and it really reminds me of nemona's glove.

I do think there’s a viable post-0%/Web2.0 solution to a Tumblr-type social media experience built over DHT. Users host their own content, signed with a public key; reblogs become rehosts, creating a local copy with the same hash, so that as long as anyone who reblogged it is online the post is online. Obviously mobile users or anyone else with data caps gets kind of fucked, and you need big hard drives, but hard drives are huge these days anyway and when have mobile users not been fucked
