thinking about a star wars au where Padme is the POV character and she foils palpatine in the senate. The prequels are inherently a political/war drama and i think Chosen One Warrior Monk was a bad pick for MC because we don’t see the most interesting aspects of the story from his perspective. I think the only good way that movie could have ended is if a brilliant senator discovered Palpatine’s plans before they could be executed and the senate voted to have the old man like, impeached or something.
Without the levers of power over the Galactic Senate he’s just completely undone bcause the only thing he ever cared about was “UNLIMITED POWERRR” and he dies in a desperate last stand against every jedi on Coruscant. Maybe Padme helps Anakin realize all the ways Pulpyjuice has been grooming him to be his apprentice and so he doesn’t turn sith after all, idk. All i’m saying is a prequels rewrite with Padme as the main character would kick ass

alright so collection of my thoughts on this so far:
2014
- the drama brothers were quite good friends. even went to uni together. cody even started a new tumblr for his personal ramblings, codyanderson144.
- then there's yasmine and mariah. they loved the drama brothers, big fans of them they were. it just happened that they went to the same uni as they did! what a coinky-dink.
2015
- cody starts dating asia
- a girl named cindy delorne starts attending the same college as everyone here. majoring in arts education. wants to be an art teacher. her tumblr is cindy-delorne, password is "stigma"
2016
- cody is eventually cheated on by asia. :(
- but he meets another girl. cindy delorne. who's been developing a crush on him. they even go mini golfing.
- cindy delorne's friend, rich, tells her he's starting a club. she thinks of joining, but doesn't know what it is
- but she goes to a meeting. she feels sick.
- and she's told to bring cody. she doesn't want to.
2017
- the club is a cult called stigma. stigma-official is their tumblr. cody apparently enjoys it (weirdo). he enjoys the power that comes with being a god and feels it will stop anyone from hurting him again and starts to get UNLIMITED POWERRR
2018
- and he grows with it. unlimited power, that is. sacrificing and all that jazz.
- makes cindy sacrifice herself for him. she felt she couldn’t live without cody.
- also i would assume mariah and justin are having a thing now, "long time partners" and such
- unfortunately justin gets very, very ill—cody offers to take care of him though!
- a mere four days later, justin comes out refreshed and new! completely clean. well, moreso, wiped clean. he wasn't the justin everyone knew, and everyone could tell.
- it’s assumed that cody had sacrificed justin to become a god and replaced him. flexing his god powers, i see
- i don't know when but at some point cody moved blogs to lord-cody. a new self a new blog to share your new twisted mind.
2019
- june 27th, a letter from trent to justin about justins marriage to mariah! wow
- june 1st. justin goes to that music hall and then goes missing. has been since. mariah was worried and now has the blog whereishewhereishe.
- june 4th. "was the day he couldn’t take it anymore." that doesn't sound good.
- at some point that i could probably check but im too lazy to: yasmine started the dramabrothersimagines blog, supposedly instructed by cody as evident by the, uh, messages.
- at some point: the dramabrothersimagines blog dropped this bomb on us
- also at some point: harold was blinded. acid into his eyes. thats gotta hurt. he also went kinda cray cray, understandably
- at some point: apparently cindy is "gone" now. assuming that means she died.
- at some point: after given enough hints (by yasmine, presumably), cody was able to locate trent and take trenton, his son.
- at some point: mariah follows cody with trenton into a manhole and finds the body of justin and a, supposedly, new justin singing to trenton.
steps so far on how to get rid of a god (lord cody)
- these are from the blog stigma-underground
- find his motivation to become a god. this will be his weakness.so far what we know about this is “he enjoys the power that comes with being a god and feels it will stop anyone from hurting him again”
- separate him from those who support him (yasmine, i would mainly suppose). gods are powerless without them.
questions time
- yasmine, that wackadoodle. what is she on cody's side for? and is it really worth giving up her soul, as its seemed?
- what is their deal? as in... what is the deal between cody and yasmine. what are they sacrificing and what are they getting.
- we have a general idea of what stigma is but i would say we should learn more, no?
- why was harold blinded? what did he do?
- what did justin do?
- and what did trent do?
