heyyy tumblr,

class of 2024 law student here. no offense but you know things are bad when i take it to tumblr. law school really does something to your psyche and i hate to say it but despite this whole movement on social media to be more transparent, i don't believe anyone will be completely honest about their experience when their words can be traced back to them. being believable as 100% genuine & honest while being anything less than to followers that cling to every syllable of yours does more damage than good imo.

ill start this page with some honesty that i would label as a 6/10 on the "how embarrassed would i be if someone from my post-grad job were to see this" scale i just made up.

my first semester i felt like the smartest version of myself i had ever been because i got 1 online award from a fake company (seriously what business does this "computer-assisted legal education" company have hosting awards for schools around the country & why are they receiving our grades to begin with) for having the highest grade in my class. mind you, this company/award is not at ALL affiliated with my school, its literally made up. but its something that is made PUBLIC (as in if you knew my name you could google me and this stupid award shows up), and so many schools still acknowledge it to, idk, create further divisions between students that i guess the whole system of making everyones grades 100% based on their finals and curved (not in a good way) doesn't do enough for?

now here i am, having finished my 6th semester & walked the commencement stage a few days ago ugly crying over a grade because i might have just lost my honors status. when in actuality .... ~ kim, there are people that are dying ~ why does any of this matter?? this is what 6 semesters of slowly having your confidence in your own intelligence chipped away at does to a person.

its not over yet though - bar prep starts last week :). actually it starts on may 20th officially, but no ones being honest about the fact that they really started studying the day after their finals ended, if not earlier.

so i've decided to document my experience for you all here. with bar prep & my foray into big law (you know this field was meant for babies because that's what we unsarcastically call a career at a top law firm) on the horizon, & 6 semesters of pure chaos behind me, i have a lot to say!

im not sure who this is going to reach because, again no offense tumblr, but i doubt this site has the reach it once did. maybe this will just end up being a time capsule for myself, which i would love. or maybe this will help 1 person cope, which i would love even more.

So, in that magic of Pegasus AU(or should it be called magic of dragon AU?) well either way, I wonder that the moment everyone’s curses got lifted after the Warlock defeat(Plus Malleus and Idia can get married now we’ll since it is your AU after all, plus maybe Azul too). What exactly happened too? Plus how did the reunion Idia having truly regain his true form had with his parents went? Especially the warlock’s defeat itself?

First of all, Idia and Ortho reunite with their parents. Like very floofy reunion and everything. A lot of hugs and happy crying. Of course, Idia has a bit of a hard time at first, getting re-used to how small things are and the fact that he is a human now. At first he was hesitant on hugging because initially he had sharp claws that could easily wound anyone. But now he had normal hands and soft skin, hair and everything that made him anything but the beast he initially was. Of course, seeing their son so grown up since they last saw him, was a miracle altogether. U-Ub

Only a bit later does the marriage ceremony commence for Idia. (Azul and Malleus are the grooms cuz yes :'3) And it is pretty simple and quiet ceremony.

Here is a full timeline of events from the start of Ashe’s POV to present time. A WIP at the moment and will be nitpicked as things happen. Arcs will be listed instead of full events and some do need posts.

Approx. 2000-3000 years prior - Morgan is born and events of her life unfold. She is married to The Fairy King and after suffering at his hands begs for release. An Unseelie Witch answers her call and tit for tat turns her into a Magical Creature -- a Ralts that wanders the world.

XX75 - Morgan is found by Victoria Hollingsworth as a Kirlia and takes her on as a resident and protege in becoming a Healer.

XX92, June - Ashe is born.

XX92, August - Leon is born in an alternate universe.

XX93, January - Ashe is abandoned by Human Mother and taken in by Victoria Hollingsworth, her Grandmother.

XX93, February - Kianga is born.

XX95 - Leon follows Victini into a portal and runs into the Leon of this timeline and the two merge with Leon and family none the wiser. He becomes labelled as a Faller but never attracts UBs. Leon’s family moves from Alola to Galar shortly after.

XX93 - XX97 - Kianga or N is raised in a lab with his sickly Zoroark mother and Zorua siblings. He grows up feral until his mother dies and his siblings and him are separated. Team Plasma’s commencement of their plan begins and the tutelage of their King begins.

XX95-XX97 - Leon becomes friends with Sonia and also meets his partner Charizard as a Charmander.

XX93 to XX08 - Ashe grows up in the shelter of Castelia City and at age sixteen her grandmother, Victoria Hollingsworth passes away of terminal illness. Ashe faces going into the care of Unova’s Government. Morgan evolves into her final stage as a Gardevoir and spirits Ashe away as her own to the most north she could take Ashe in Mistralton City so this doesn’t occur. Temporary housing is acquired in where Grandcrest Ranch will be.

XX98, Early - Grusha is born and left in the snow to die. He is found by Aestas and reborn.

XX98, Mid - Leon finds out he’s going to be a big brother from his parents, but sadly his father passes away in a freak accident at work.

XX99 - Hop is born.

XX00 - Reshiram begins speaking to Kianga and chooses him as his Champion.

XX02 - Leon is endorsed by Professor Magnolia and goes with Sonia and takes on the Galar League. He meets Raihan, Piers, Gordie, and Nessa and they form a friend group.

XX02 - Grusha begins taking an interest in snowboarding.

XX03 - Leon is crowned Champion and taken under Rose’s wing.

XX02 - Grusha begins taking an interest in snowboarding.

XX03 - Grusha meets his partner Swablu after getting lost in the snows of Snowpoint City.

XX04 - XX12 - Grusha lives a comfortable life with Aestas and her family, taking an interest in snowboarding and being privately tutored in all things that are needed to know. He takes a interest in pokemon and catches a Sneasel and Seel around this time, finding he has an affinity for ice-types alongside his Cryokinesis abilities and literally being a living human ice-type person.

XX03 - XX17 - Leon reigns as Champion of the Galar Region.

XX09, May - Ashe suffers an injury that gets infected and is at death’s doorstep. To save her, Morgan knows she must ‘die’ in a sense and become something else as not even Morgan can save her as she is. Using forbidden magic in a Blood Pact, Morgan changes Ashe’s maternal blood and gives her Fae Blood instead. Ashe heals over the next few days and becomes Morgan’s daughter by blood in truth, and by labels, a Changeling.

XX09, August - Ashe is set up for homeschool and finishes off studying under a local teacher who is the former Mistralton Gym Leader and Skyla’s relative. Future Gym Leader Skyla becomes acquainted with Ashe’s family, setting up for her being the one to keep their secret later on down the line and allow them to live in Mistralton.

XX10, Early - Ashe ‘graduates’ and is free to pursue her own passion as a traveling trainer. By now, Morgan and Ashe have set up the woods and live a peaceful life. This is the beginning of Grandcrest Ranch.

XX10, Mid - Ashe takes on the Unova League leading to the Unova Arc.

XX10, Late - Morgan begins to build into Grandcrest Ranch.

XX11, Early (1) - Ashe finishes her Unova League journey and heads to Kanto next resulting in the Kanto Arc. Ashe obtains a Keystone and Absolite.

XX11, Early (2) - The events of Black/White occur.

XX11, Mid - Kianga becomes Parker Reed’s shadow while she deals with Team Plasma and Neo Team Plasma from the light, he deals with them from the shadows.

XX12, Early - Grandcrest Ranch is built onto after Morgan stakes a claim on surrounding territory, invoking her Fae tendencies. Parker Reed passes away from terminal illness.

XX12, Mid - Kianga is found by Ashe on a rainy day covered in mud and ready to give up on the world. She takes him home and he becomes fast friends with the Grandcrests. Ashe decides to head to Alola after knowing he’ll be okay with Morgan leading to Alola Arc. Kianga heads to Alola to find her once he’s healed and they begin traveling together. Ashe begins writing journals of her findings on various pokemon as well.

XX13, Mid - Kianga is formally adopted by Morgan and the Grandcrest Ranch is established as a place of residence. The last name is taken on by all three family members. Ashe’s Keystone is formed into a braclet known as the ‘Multi-Bracelet’ to handle Z-Crystals as well.

XX13 - Grusha goes pro and starts competing as a Snowboarding and Pro-Athele. Gains a broken arm in one of his Championship runs. Forced to be benched and go through physical therapy.

XX14 - Ashe travels to Johto and the Johto Arc occurs with Kianga as her new regular traveling companion. Ashe and Kianga becomes friends with Donovan Bonhomme, an aspiring Archaeologist.

XX15 (1) - Ashe travels to Hoenn and the Hoenn Arc occurs. Ashe begins to take an interest in collecting pokemon and studying them.

XX15 (2) - Grusha breaks his leg in an Snowboarding accident and later goes through physical therapy. Begins taking a mild interest in ice-types.

XX16 (1) - Morgan builds more onto the Ranch to occupy more pokemon.

XX16 (2) - Ashe spends a year traveling to previous regions she’s familiar with and catching them, evolving them, and writing in old journals she’s had. Ashe also travels to the Lental Region as part of a program and studies the pokemon there.

XX16 (3) - Kianga’s Zorua Pack begins to form.

XX16 (4) - Grusha travels with Aestas to an unknown region where he receives a Mightyena variant unknown to science.

XX17 (1) - Ashe travels to Kalos and the Kalos Arc occurs. She learns more about the Fae here and what it means to be a Changeling. More about Mega Evolution is learned.

XX17 (2) - Morgan takes on Donovan as an apprentice in teaching him Magic once he finds out he is to be Sorcerer Supreme.

XX18 (1) - Ashe travels to Sinnoh and the Sinnoh Arc occurs. Ashe and Kianga meets several friends here; Night Shadowborn and Gladion Aether as well as the legendary pokemon of the Creation Trio and Lunala. Ashe also meets Reisei “Rei” Winters after an incident trying to catch a shiny pokemon.

XX18 (2) - Leon endorses his brother Hop and Gloria, Hop’s friend to challenge the Galar League. The Darkest Day occurs later and officially breaks Leon in every way possible. He decides to retire and hands the mantle over to Savannah Hemsworth and his friends. He takes the time to rest and recover.

XX19, Early - Ashe travels to Galar and the Galar Arc occurs. Ashe receives a Dynamax Band that she wears her Multi-Bracelet on top of. She learns more about the Fae here.

XX19, Mid - Ashe travels to Isle of Armor with Kianga and Morgan for a vacation and pause in her journey and to learn under Master Mustard. After two weeks of vacation she resumes her Galar journey. Morgan is inspired to establish her Therapy Program with the help of Ashe’s ‘mons she doesn’t use on her team as helpers. It takes off well in and around Mistralton City.

XX20, Early - Grusha is involved in the Snowboarding accident that nearly takes his life. He has immediate surgery done by the Valkyrie Family and the people who work for them. He’s given a chance to walk again with emergency surgery, but it’s a dim hope as he’ll have to go through yet another surgery.

XX20, Mid - Recruited by Geeta, Grusha becomes the new ice-type gym leader for Paldea. He is not happy with this arrangement, but must make money to survive and care for his pokemon.

XX20, Late (1) - Ashe and Kianga go to the Crown Tundra with Night and his group to figure out what’s going on with the sudden influx of legendary pokemon. Leon, now Ex-Champion, shows up on their doorstep a week into their stay. He is invited to stay and becomes friends with everyone there. Ashe at some point grows ill but plays it off. During Night’s confrontation with Calyrex, she drops unconscious and not feeling her breathing, Kianga makes a rush decision to return home, only leaving a note for Night that they were ‘headed home’. Reshiram prepares to escort them home and leave Leon behind, but Leon clings onto Reshiram at the last minute and thus is taken to Grandcrest Ranch.

XX20, Late (2) - Kianga’s Zorua Pack grows to include Zoroarks.

XX20, Late (3) - Grusha begins voicing how much he doesn’t like working for Paldea’s League. People are disgruntled and Geeta is growing impatient.

XX21, Early (1) - Ashe is able to recover slowly from her illness but not before being at death’s door twice. Leon remains with Grandcrest Ranch throughout her recovery as a means of paying her back for taking him in during the Crown Tundra. While recovering, Ashe inspires Leon to want to travel and be a trainer himself.

XX21, Early (2) - Grusha is stabbed by Geeta’s Ceruledge, forcing him into silence and into a ‘caged bird’ status.

XX21, Mid - Unova Arc II occurs. Leon takes on the Unova League challenge, asking Ashe to go with him as his guide and she does so. The two by the end of the journey are smitten with one another. Kianga decides to travel the world with Reshiram leaving Morgan to further her Therapy Program.

XX21, Late - A Umbreon begins to bug Morgan on occasion. This Umbreon is revealed to be Joseph Valkyrie, a Winged Umbreon Demon during the holidays. Leon officially asks Ashe to become his girlfriend and she accepts. Ruko is found and taken in as the the third sibling of Grandcrest Ranch. Ashe meets Tanis Minamimoto through her Flygon, Dusty, and the two become friends, everyone else is shortly introduced to her as well.

XX22, Early (1) - Joseph begins to court Morgan. Leon begins to court Ashe.

XX22, Early (2) - Time Travel shenanigans happen and somehow Ashe ends up in Hisui and the Hisui Arc occurs. What is several months to Ashe is only a week to her family and when she returns she is traumatized, but not before bringing a whole horde of Hisui Variants back with her. Ashe’s Absol is able to be saved by Donovan who is now Sorcerer Supreme of the current timeline.

XX22, Early (3) - Kianga fully embraces both sides of himself as a result and becomes the Pack Leader. He also meets another Zoroark Hybrid named Juno and his family. Hisui Zorua and Zoroark join Kianga’s pack.

XX22, Mid - Alola Arc II occurs. Leon takes on the Alola League challenge with Ashe as his guide and through this journey, Ashe is able to heal from the trauma Hisui caused. Ashe reunites with Night and his group and after finding out their adopted father is Joseph, the group become her brothers and sisters as well.

XX22, Late (1) - Ashe and group travel to Paldea to take on the Paldea League and the Paldea Arc occurs. They meet a pair of Miraidon and Koraidon and after witnessing some disturbing video at a Lighthouse Lab, they head to Area Zero and nearly get killed because of it. Morgan panics. Dialga/Diamond and several others interfere to help. At the last minute, to get everyone out, Ashe’s partner evolves into the first recorded dual-type eeveelution, Empatheon. They are teleported home by Morgan after escaping.

XX22, Late (2) - Ashe calls on her aunt, Ivy, and Jackson, Ruko’s friend, to help her understand more about Lucky’s evolution, sparking an interest in studying dual-type eeveelutions. Leon and Ruko go along for support.

XX22, Late (3) - Grusha goes through his final back surgery and must take the time to recover and go through physical therapy. Geeta is made aware of this and once again reaffirms she holds his life in her hands.

XX23, Early (1) - Paldea Arc Part II occurs. Ashe travels to Paldea again to accomplish her goals. Ashe meets Seraphina Olania, a friend-rival of sorts who helps her with her Lapras alongside Mewtwo who she confides in about her past. Ashe afterward takes on the Paldean Elite Four after feeling a renewed sense of conviction and becomes Champion Rank.

XX23, Early (2) - Sinnoh Arc II occurs. Leon takes on the Sinnoh League and goes on to challenge the Elite Four and Champion, but loses to Night. He meets Night Shadowborn and learns of his connection to Ashe.

XX23, Early (3) - The Florges Ball approaches as does the thought of proposal to Ashe on Leon’s side...

Blockchain Wholesale Payments Firm Raises $95 Million

Fnality has raised 77.7 million British pounds ($95.09 million) in a second round of funding, Reuters reported on Nov. 13. In addition to Goldman and BNP Paribas, the fundraising involved participation by settlement houses like Euroclear and Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. Other investors included the global exchange-traded fund firm WisdomTree and Fnality’s existing investor Nomura.

There was also additional investment from initial round backers Banco Santander, BNY Mellon, Barclays, CIBC, Commerzbank, ING, Lloyds Banking Group, Nasdaq Ventures, State Street, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and UBS. As previously reported, UBS and other global banks invested 55 million pounds ($63.2 million) in Fnality in June 2019, aiming to launch a blockchain-based trade settlement platform.

The new capital will be used for setting up a round-the-clock global liquidity management network for new digital payment models in wholesale financial markets and emerging tokenized asset markets, Fnality reportedly said. The raise also lays the basis for the commencement of the initial launch of the Sterling Fnality Payment System in 2023, subject to approval by the Bank of England.

Lithium developer Liontown backs Albemarle’s $4.3 billion bid

Shares of Australia’s Liontown Resources (LTR.AX) experienced an 11.5% surge following the endorsement by the lithium developer’s board on Monday of a revised A$6.6 billion ($4.26 billion) bid from Albemarle Corp (ALB.N), the world’s largest lithium producer. The new cash offer of A$3 per share represents a 14.5% premium over Liontown’s closing price of A$2.62 on September 1 and is 20% higher than Albemarle’s previous A$2.50 per share offer from late March, which Liontown had previously rejected as insufficient.

Witnessing a wave of acquisitions

Liontown indicated that its board plans to unanimously recommend that shareholders approve the new offer, contingent on there being no superior proposal and pending the completion of an independent expert report to assess the deal. This news drove Liontown shares to surge by 11.5% to A$2.92, reaching their highest level since July 14.

Liontown also stated that Albemarle has been granted a limited period of exclusive due diligence and an opportunity to enter into a mutually acceptable scheme implementation agreement.

Emerging Lithium developers in Australia are witnessing a wave of acquisitions, driven by their lower valuations and the cash requirements that make them attractive to some of the world’s leading producers of battery materials and other potential buyers eager to secure lithium supplies.

The demand for lithium, a crucial component in electric vehicle batteries, has surged, making projects in Australia, a top supplier, more appealing than those in Chile, another major producer. In April, Chile outlined plans to nationalize its Lithium developer industry.

Liontown has enlisted Greenhill & Co. and UBS as financial advisers

Liontown Resources controls two significant lithium deposits in Western Australia, including its flagship Kathleen Valley project, which is set to commence production in mid-2024. This project ranks among the world’s largest and highest-grade hard rock lithium deposits.

Liontown has secured supply agreements with prominent companies such as Ford Motor, Tesla, and the battery division of South Korea’s LG Chem.

Albemarle’s most recent offer for Liontown marks its fourth attempt, with previous proposals of A$2.20 per share in October of the preceding year, A$2.35 per share in March, and the rejected A$2.50 per share offer, which became public.

Regarding the revised proposal, Liontown has enlisted Greenhill & Co. and UBS as financial advisers, with Allens serving as its legal adviser. JPMorgan and Barrenjoey are advising Albemarle.

Shinji, Asuka, and QRei wander until they are picked up by a truck, transporting them to a nearby Lilin settlement.

Toji is a village doctor and father of a young child named Tsubama (with Hikari, who is also alive).

Kensuke is also there. He’s an avid survivalist and works for a smaller sub-organization within WILLE called KREDIT, developing and refining the re-vitalization tech used for Angel Sealing Pillars.

Shinji stays with Kensuke and Asuka. Asuka wanders around naked and has a few suspiciously intimate moments with Kensuke, who she refers to as Ken-Ken.

Shinji is nearly catatonic. He refuses to eat or engage, still shaken by what happened with Kaworu. At one point, he gets a glimpse of Asuka’s DSS Choker and vomits, having been reminded of Kaworu’s head exploding. Kensuke cleans up the vomit.

Asuka marvels how he can manage to throw up without eating anything. Frustrated, Asuka and other villagers try to forcefeed him meals. Village elders scold Shinji for not trying hard enough. Hikari implores that the elders go easier on him.

Meanwhile, Shinji is slowly recovering from his initial shock. Asuka is protecting the village perimeter.Kensuke teaches Shinji how to fish, elaborating more on the Angel Sealing Pillars. According to Kensuke, ASPs do not run indefinitely. Their failure will mean the end of the Lilin settlement and its inhabitants. Here, he introduces Shinji to “Ryoji Kaji” - Misato and Kaji’s 14 year old son, who works with Kensuke on KREDIT.Ryoji wears a light blue/white radiation suit. Here, it’s explained that Kaji died during 3rd Impact by closing the Door of Guf, while Misato was pregnant with Ryoji. Presumably, the Door of Guf can only be opened and closed with a Key of Nebuchandezzer, so Kaji could have procured two Keys from SEELE, one that he gave to Gendo, and one that he kept for himself.Ryoji has no clue who his parents are - allegedly thinks of himself as orphaned (parallels with Kaji’s own childhood post-Second Impact). Misato had abandoned him shortly after he was born.

Turns out, Rei has an LCL deficiency in need of constant maintenance. Her body deteriorates the longer she remains outside her tank. With Tsubama near, Rei starts crying as the realization dawns on her. She has no idea how to process her death and doesn’t understand why it makes her so sad.Before she dies, Rei finds Shinji and gives him the SDAT. She thanks him. Her plugsuit changes color from black to white and she explodes in a pop of LCL.Shinji decides to return to WILLE and help Misato restore the world back to its pre-Impact state.WILLE does not react to Shinji well. They quarantine him again, though this time without a DSS Choker. Asuka and Mari visit him in his quarantine cell.Mari re-introduces herself to Shinji. Asuka admits to Shinji that she’d “liked him a long time ago” when she was still a child. Asuka is relieved to be long past those childish feelings, and happier still she had the opportunity to get them off her chest.Gendo starts to make use of Eva 13. The Wunder embarks to destroy him and 13. Here, a battle ignites between a skull-Eva army and Units 02 and 08, repaired with the spare parts WILLE salvaged from Paris in AVANT.Asuka attempts to destroy Unit 13′s core, first by removing her eyepatch to unleash an energy bolt from her Bardiel-corrupted eyesocket.When that doesn’t work, she goes beast mode, only for Unit 13 to destroy her after she injects Angel blood into 02 for an emergency upgrade. Asuka dies.

Gendo successfully merges with 13, ready to start the final Impact. Shinji demands that Misato let him pilot Unit-01.Misato agrees; the time has come for Shinji to face off against his father in Unit-01. However, Sakura and Midori are vehemently opposed to the idea.Sakura, terrified and panicked, tries to shoot Shinji. Misato intervenes and takes a bullet for him (just like in EOE).As Shinji rushes to Misato’s aid, they have a heart to heart. Shinji tells Misato he met her son, Ryoji, and liked him. Shinji hands Misato a photo of Shinji and Ryoji smiling together that Kensuke had taken moments before. Misato smiles, relieved.Mari retrieves Shinji and transports him to Unit 01. Inside 01, sits Rei II with long hair. Shinji goes berserk.Shinji and Gendo duke it out in Units 01 and 13. Shinji is positioned as someone capable of growth, someone who can move on from the past, versus Gendo, who is escapist, stagnant, trapped in old memories. Shinji resolves to create a new world without Evas. During their fight, Shinji and Gendo’s memories cycle through, pulling in random scenes from their pasts: Shinji’s middle school, Sachiel stage, inside Misato’s apartment, etc.WILLE is baffled how Shinji can pilot despite his synch ratio reading “zero” - until Maya and Ritsuko realize “zero” actually represents the number closest to zero; that is, infinity.At one point, Gendo and Shinji stop fighting and the setting transforms to reveal a train, where they both confront each other. Gendo’s backstory is explored: he was alone and didn’t care about people, until he met Yui, who made him feel for the first time. When she died, he decied he’d do anything to get her back again.

Outre ce délai important, les frais de transfert sont élevés. Ripple cherche à adresser cette problématique en promettant de rendre ce type de transactions quasi-instantané avec des frais ultra réduits.

Ripple en tant que pivot

Afin de remplacer SWIFT à terme, Ripple se propose d’être le pivot du système d’échanges entre les banques.

Ainsi, si une banque Française souhaite transférer des fonds à un établissement bancaire Américain, elle devra tout d’abord convertir ses euros en XRP (nom de code donné au Ripple) avant de les transférer via le réseau Ripple à moindre frais et de manière instantanée à la banque Américaine qui devra à son tour les convertir en dollars.

Une volatilité récente qui inquiète

L’efficacité du système Ripple repose également sur la stabilité de sa monnaie. Cependant, cela n’est plus le cas depuis début Décembre 2017 ce qui vient à poser des questions sur le fonctionnement même de Ripple et son avenir.

En effet, Ripple n’a pas été conçu pour être une monnaie spéculative à forte volatilité comme le Bitcoin par exemple. La société Ripple a néanmoins prévu la possibilité d’introduire régulièrement de nouvelles unités dans le circuit afin de contenir l’inflation trop importante du cours.
