Prompt: Zombies.
It was supposed to be a routine scouting mission for supplies, but the second wave of the virus changed the world and now nothing was routine.
Warning: Angst
Remains
“The fair face of nature was deformed as with the ravages of some loathsome disease” ― Edgar Allan Poe, The Colloquy of Monos and Una
She didn’t dream anymore. No, that was a lie. Nightmares were still dreams. The infected changed the world, but perhaps Caroline should be grateful. Once the second wave of the virus spread, she was a new person. She became a survivor. Caroline impatiently pushed back the greasy strands that escaped her sloppy braid, snorting as she recalled a time when frizzy split ends like these would’ve led to instant banishment from her social circle. Right before the world died, she’d been posting tutorials on marble and tortoiseshell manicures and the best smudge-proof lipsticks to wear with face masks. And now she could field strip a Glock in under a minute. But there was no use mourning the remains of her old life.
She was crouched behind a stack of old tires when she spied Klaus’ rally signal, indicating the all-clear to their group. The arrogant Brit in all of his alpha male glory easily had become the leader of their group of castoffs; some were intrigued by the brooding mystique he cultivated and others comforted by his confident, charismatic leadership. Caroline was still suspicious of his intentions, knowing better than to be swayed by those innocent dimples and playful smirk.
Caroline shook her head in irritation, refusing to get distracted. They were at a landfill about eight miles outside of camp, searching for salvageable materials. The mission was what mattered. Survivors had grown desperate, swallowing their distaste at sifting through the remains of the world. She wrinkled her nose as she passed by a river of brown sludge, the smells of rotten eggs, motor oil and bleach making her stomach turn.
“Nothing there for us; keep looking,” Klaus barked at her sharply, making her scowl. She recalled how furious Klaus had been on that first scouting mission to a landfill; shouting until he was hoarse when he realized how quickly food waste decomposed even in the mild spring. After the first wave of the virus, the grocery stores were raided; the second wave saw the residential areas ransacked. The zombie hordes had been timid at first, as though viewing the immune as the predators. But humanity was fragile, and soon they became prey.
“I know,” Caroline snarled, feeling the need to bare her teeth when he held up his hands in mock surrender. She jerked her head toward a heap of milk-white containers in one of the mounds in the distance, telling him, “Those might be plastic jugs we could repurpose. You should be over there investigating instead of wasting time waiting on me to screw up.”
Anger registered on his handsome face before his expression went carefully blank. “Time spent with you is never a waste,” he muttered, quietly stalking away to signal Enzo, Bonnie and Tyler to follow him to the area she’d indicated.
That was weird. Klaus always seemed irritated by her presence; he grumbled at her questions and mocked the efficiency protocols she’d established around camp. Plus, during his daily combat drills, Klaus always made her train harder than anyone else, running through every fight sequence over and over until her muscles shrieked. Between her explosive temper and his wild mood swings, they’d had some epic screaming matches, but ultimately a begrudging respect had formed and she was startled to realize she’d come to trust him implicitly with their group’s safety. So, why was he messing with her now?
Irritated that their asshat leader’s antics were so distracting, Caroline carefully stepped around broken glass, leaning forward to examine an overturned metal rowboat. Even with the streaks of rust, the hull was intact and they could take it out on the lake to fish.
“You’ve got that look on your face, little bird,” Kol drawled, startling her with his close proximity. He grinned cheekily at her glare, adding, “The one where you’re planning to boast how you’ve scored the most useful haul on our mission. Tsk, tsk — you know what a sore loser Nik can be.”
“Klaus is a grumpy asshat regardless. Pretty sure he came out of the womb with that smirky-scowl of his.”
His brother snorted, kicking aside a dented oil pump that scattered several crank seals across the trash heap. “You didn’t know him from before, little bird. Trust me — Nik is almost downright cheerful these days.” His brown eyes twinkled mischievously as he mused, “I wonder why that is?”
She ignored him, rooting around the edge of the rowboat to see if they could break it free from the black silt and thick sludge that she did her best not to identify. She impatiently pushed away some rusted-out tractor parts that likely belonged to the same pile Kol was kicking around. Actually, it was thanks to Klaus she even could identify tractor parts. He’d pulled her off of game hunting duty to help him work on the tractor they’d found in the woods behind the campgrounds. He taught her the different parts and tools used to free up the seized engine.
“Oil down the cylinders,” he’d commanded, showing her how to neatly coat the spark plug holes in a manner that she absolutely refused to find erotic. Tractors weren’t sexy. British asshats who knew how to tune up carburetors were not sexy, damn it!
She flicked her eyes up, skin prickling as she had the sensation of being watched. Klaus was watching her. Again. Was he seriously that concerned she’d screw up this scouting mission? Asshat. With a huff of annoyance, she turned her back, stooping a bit to inspect something shiny that had caught the sun’s rays. She checked to make sure she couldn’t identify any solvents or other chemicals before she touched it — a lesson they all learned last week when Enzo came back from a scouting mission with a nasty rash. He could’ve died. But they all could, at any time. They were stuck in this terrible world where everything kept trying to kill them.
Her heart gave an unfamiliar tweak as she uncovered an old charm bracelet with several silver butterflies and cheap glass beads linked together. It looked nothing like the platinum and diamond butterfly one her father had given her as a child, but it was the last thing he’d gifted her before he died. Once the infected had swarmed her property, she’d had no choice but to leave it behind. She hadn’t cried when her childhood friend, Elena, succumbed to the virus and transformed, but she’d wept a river over losing that damn bracelet. She was fucked up long before the world ended.
She was focused on unwinding the bracelet from where it had caught on the hinge of a splintered cabinet door, and she didn’t hear Klaus’ piercing whistle until it was too late. Decayed arms grabbed at her long braid, yanking her back with surprising strength.
“Fucking zombies!” Kol bellowed, bashing a skull in with the butt of his rifle as two more clawed at him.
Caroline’s body reacted of its own accord, muscle memory executing a fluid elbow strike as she reached for her gun. She hardly felt the recoil as the bullet messily severed the zombie’s brittle neck.
Kol gestured wildly, shouting at her to run, but she stubbornly kept trying to free the bracelet, paying no mind to the splinters from the door shredding the back of her hands. She couldn’t explain, but she needed it. A connection. Another creature reached for her, gnashing its rotted teeth, but she paid it no mind as she swung the cabinet door, gouging out strips of its festering cheeks.
The door broke just as Klaus reached her, his gray eyes feral as he jerked her arm, yelling, “Leave it! It’s not worth your life!”
Caroline stubbornly shook her head, angry tears in her eyes as another group of infected raced toward them. Too many. Defeated, she left the bracelet where it had fallen and finally allowed Klaus to spirit her away with the rest of their team.
                                 ________________________________
Klaus was a caged animal as he paced the short length of the small cabin Caroline shared with Bonnie, whirling around to face her with his blazing stare. “You could’ve died, Caroline!”
           “Yes.”
Caroline’s simple answer seemed to spark something in him, and his voice grew dangerously quiet as he harshly said, “You jeopardized the safety of our people over trivial nonsense. My brother was nearly killed. How could you be so stupid? So utterly selfish?!”
Fuck. It wasn’t anything she hadn’t heard before, but somehow those words felt different coming from Klaus. “Because I needed it!” The raw emotion tore at her throat, and she’d never felt so small and weak. “You don’t have tell me I’m stupid and selfish — I already know. I’ve heard it my whole useless life.”
She wasn’t sure when she started crying, but she didn’t duck her head in shame. Instead, she straightened her spine and looked him in the eye. She wanted him to understand. “I was always stupid and shallow and no one ever loved me as much as I loved them, but my dad gave me a bracelet with butterflies on it and I needed that connection to him!”
Klaus opened his mouth to speak, a rare look of uncertainty in his gaze as he studied her. Shaking her head, she felt the fight leave her as she brokenly confessed, “It’s all I have left. And even if no one cared about who I was before, it’s all that remains of my humanity.”
The silence between them was nothing but jagged edges that made Caroline want to curl away from him. Suddenly, Klaus was so close she could feel his breath on her cheek, something unrecognizable flashing in her gaze. He kissed her roughly, clutching at her back as his lips moved over hers. Dominating. Possessing.
The fiery kiss was over far too quickly, leaving her reeling from the heat of his touch. As she raised trembling fingers to touch her lips, Klaus wordlessly stormed away, his jaw tight. What the fuck just happened?
                                  ________________________________
Hours later, a heavy banging on the warped wooden door woke her. Bleary eyed, Caroline stumbled out of her bedroll, flicking the safety off of her Glock. Her heart sped up when she spied Klaus standing at her doorstep with his fists clenched.
“Um,” she stuttered inelegantly, unsure of what to say.
“Here,” Klaus said gruffly, thrusting something at her and storming off again before she could speak.
Caroline looked down at her hand, immediately tearing up when she saw it was the old charm bracelet from the landfill.

You thanked Tyler as he took your plate from breakfast and carried it into the kitchen. While he washed up, you decided to take a look at the bulletin board and see what you had in store for the day.
There were a handful of brightly colored post-it notes pinned under the “Today’s Tasks” section of the cork board. As you were reading them, Tyler wandered over to where you were standing and wrapped an arm around your waist. His hand was cold from the tap water, but you didn’t mind.
“What’s on the agenda today?” he asked, leaning his head against your shoulder.
“According to these notes: baking cookies, wrapping a gift, and laundry. Do we have a party we’re going to or something?”
“Your sister is having a baby shower tomorrow.”
“Right,” you nodded. “Do we know if it’s a boy or a girl?”
“Girl.”
“Aw, another niece will be nice.”
“Yes, it will.” Tyler pressed a kiss to your cheek.
“Let’s see, what other reminders do we have?” you asked, letting your eyes wander over to that section of the board. There was a note in the corner that was written in Tyler’s handwriting, unlike all the other notes on the board. It read “I love you” and had his name signed at the bottom. “I don’t forget that,” you said, smiling as you reached out to touch it. “And I love you too.”
“I just thought it was a nice reminder regardless.”
“It is.”
“So, where do you want to start on today’s activities?”
“What about cookies?” you suggested. “Then we can do the other things while they bake.”
“I think that sounds like a great plan. I’ll start grabbing ingredients.”
“I’ll get the cookbook.”
You walked over to the cupboard and grabbed your special cookbook from among the rest. It was a gift that Tyler had given to you for your birthday shortly after you started dating. It was full of your favorite recipes that he had lovingly gathered from your friends and family, but he had laminated all the pages so you could cross off things as you went and avoid adding ingredients twice, or not at all. Years later, it remained one of your favorite possessions.
“Why did I grab this?” you asked, looking down at the cookbook in your hand.
“We’re making cookies.”
“Right. What kind?”
“Chocolate chip.”
“Chocolate chip,” you repeated, already starting to flip through the pages so you could find the right recipe. Tyler, meanwhile, walked over to the other side of the kitchen and grabbed one of the whiteboard markers that you kept in there for these moments. He passed it to you with a smile. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” he said, giving you a quick kiss. “Let’s see, what else do I need?”
“Do you want me to read you the ingredient list?”
“Yes, please.”
Over the next few minutes, you and Tyler worked together to gather all the correct ingredients and mark them off in the cookbook. By the time you were finished, half of the kitchen island was covered in cookie ingredients.
“I think we’re ready to start,” Tyler said.
“Should we play some music while we bake?”
“That’s a good idea, I’ll go grab the speaker.”
“I’ll be here.”
Tyler half-jogged out of the kitchen and, by the sounds of it, up the stairs. You rocked back and forth on your heels while you waited for Tyler to return, reading the labels on all of the ingredients to keep yourself busy. The kitchen always felt so quiet when Tyler wasn’t there to keep you company or there wasn’t any music playing.
Speaking of Tyler, what was taking him so long? And where was he? Were you supposed to be doing something?
“Tyler?” you called out. He walked back into the kitchen right as the words left your mouth. “Oh, there you are. Where were you?”
“Upstairs grabbing the speaker so we could play music.”
“Were you gone long?”
“A minute, maybe.”
“Oh,” you frowned. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” Tyler gave you a kiss and then hooked up his phone to the speaker. “Do you want to start the first step of the cookies?”
“Yes.” You picked up your marker and tapped it against your lips while you read the first few steps. Music quietly started to play, but Tyler quickly adjusted it to a normal level. It was a song you didn’t recognize. “The first step is preheating the oven.”
“I can do that,” Tyler said. “What’s the first ingredient?”
You marked off the preheat oven step before you forgot.
“Two sticks of butter, melted until they’re soft.”
You and Tyler each unwrapped a stick of butter and dumped it into a mixing bowl. He handled the microwaving while you started to measure out the next ingredients.
“What did we get my sister for the baby shower?” you asked, brushing away some excess brown sugar.
“A couple onesies, a hat, and some socks that had little flowers on them.”
“Who picked them out?”
“You.”
“They must be cute then,” you laughed.
“Are you saying I don’t have good taste in baby clothes?” Tyler smiled as he opened the microwave to check the butter.
“No, I just know that I do.”
“Fair enough.”
Tyler closed the microwave and carried the bowl over to where you were standing. You took a break from measuring ingredients to mark off the butter step in your cookbook.
“What’s next?” he asked.
“These ingredients right here,” you said, gesturing to the measuring cups laid out in front of you. “Do you mind grabbing a mixing spoon?”
“Not at all.”
While Tyler did that, you started to dump the ingredients into the bowl and mark them off on the page.
“If you mix, I can add the eggs,” you said.
“Works for me.”
You grabbed an egg from the carton and carefully cracked it into the bowl. Tyler quickly mixed it into the dough.
“Wait, how many more eggs do we need?” you asked.
“Just one more.”
“Ok.”
You tossed the empty eggshell into the trash and grabbed a fresh one from the carton. Tyler continued to stir while you added the second egg. The music temporarily went quiet as the playlist switched from one song to the next. It was a slower song than the others had been, but you were enjoying it just as much.
“I really like this song,” you said, nodding along to the beat. “Have you played it before?”
“Yeah, we danced to it on our first date.”
“We did?”
“Yep. We were walking along the river and we each had one of my earbuds in because I was sharing some of my favorite music with you, then this one came on and I asked you to dance. We both felt kind of silly and awkward at first, but it ended up being really nice. That’s why I like to take you for walks along the river on our anniversary.”
“No wonder I fell in love with you,” you smiled as you added another ingredient to the mixture. “That’s very romantic.”
“I was trying my hardest to make a good impression.”
“And obviously it worked.” You leaned over and kissed Tyler’s cheek.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Do you want me to take over stirring for a while? I don’t want your arm to get too tired.”
“Um, sure. Yeah. Let’s switch.”
You took the spoon from Tyler’s hand and started to mix, but not before sticking your finger into the dough and having a quick taste.
“This is amazing,” you nodded.
“I want to try,” Tyler said, sticking his own finger into the dough. “Oh yeah, that’s good.”
“Alright, back to work.”
Tyler started to measure out ingredients and dump them into the bowl when they were ready. The oven beeped a couple times, indicating that it was finally preheated.
“What movie should we watch after dinner tonight?” Tyler asked.
You had just started to think of an answer when the question Tyler had just asked completely slipped away from you.
“What did you ask?”
“I asked what movie you thought we should watch after dinner tonight?”
“Right. Um, I’m not really sure. Is there one you’ve been wanting to watch?”
“Not particularly,” Tyler shrugged. “I was just curious if you had a preference.”
“Maybe we should wait until later tonight to decide. We might have a better idea of what kind of movie we want to watch.”
“Good idea.”
You leaned closer to Tyler to get a better look at the cookbook, only to realize that you were already on the last ingredient.
“How many chocolate chips do you think?” he asked as he ripped a small opening in the bag.
“I usually like lots of chocolate chips, right?”
“Yep,” Tyler nodded.
“I think that’s what my sister likes too, so let’s go with that.”
“Alright, lots of chocolate chips.”
You watched as Tyler dumped in half the bag of chocolate chips, nearly covering all the dough before you started to mix them in. After a handful of really big stirs, the mixture finally looked ready to be cooked.
“One last taste test?” Tyler asked.
“Definitely.”
He grabbed two spoons from the drawer and scooped up two large globs of your creation. After a quick clink of your spoons, you each took a large bite of your cookie dough. You turned to one another with excited expressions.
“We nailed it,” you smiled.
“Agreed.”
Tyler held his hand up for a high five and you happily obliged. The two of you took a few more minutes to enjoy your cookie dough before tossing the spoons in the sink and getting to work on actually finishing baking them. You were in charge of spreading out the cookie dough onto a baking sheet while Tyler cleaned up ingredients and put them back in the correct cupboards.
When everything was put away, the dishes were clean, and the first batch of cookies was in the oven, you and Tyler went into the living room and laid down on the couch for a little while before continuing with the rest of the tasks for the day. You rested your head in his lap, nudging his hand a couple times until he got the hint to play with your hair.
“How long have we been laying here?” you asked.
“Just a few minutes. We’re waiting for the cookies to finish baking.”
“They smell really good.”
“Agreed. I think your sister will really like them.”
“Can we keep some cookies for ourselves too?” you smiled up at him. “We worked hard. I think.”
“We did. I definitely won’t argue keeping some cookies for ourselves.”
“Good. Thank you for doing that with me today, Ty.”
“You’re welcome. I had a really nice time.”
“I’m glad.”
“I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you too, Ty.”

Caught In Between: 01. New Beginnings
Tumblr media
IMPORTANT!!! This is content from my original blog @hyperion-moonbabe . It’s being reposted here as this is now my main blog.
Summary: Athena Dumont has finally found a place to call home after many years of foster homes and traveling. She had finally tamed her supernatural side and just wanted to live a normal teenage life. She quickly discovers that there is nothing normal about her hometown, Mystic Falls and gets sucked right back into the supernatural world.
Post Date: 02.26.20

Masterlist
I walked into my old childhood home, not expecting it to be fully furnished. I spent time looking around, gathering items from my family that I wanted to keep, and finally getting a moving company to get rid of the old furniture. Once everything was gone, I went into town to apply for a job and find some new furniture. I walked into a restaurant called the Mystic Grill.
“Hi, I was wondering if you guys were hiring,” I said to a blonde-haired guy as I walked in.
“I’m not sure but, I can grab an application for you to fill out and pass it on to my manager,” The blonde guy says and walks to the back. He returns with an application and a pen. I fill out the application and hand it back to the male.
“I’m Matt Donovan, nice to meet you.”
“Athena Dumont, nice to meet you too,” I say as I shake his hand.
“Wait as in the founding family Dumont?” He questions.
“Yeh, just moved back in today actually,” I responded back.
“Welcome back to Mystic Falls, see you around,” He smiles and goes back to work.
I continue to walk around the town looking for furniture to replace the old. After walking out of the last store I hear a familiar voice coming from behind me.
“What-a-surprise, Athena. Never thought I’d see you here in Mystic Falls.” The familiar voice says.
“Damon,” I turn around and give a fake smile. “And why would that be?” I question back.
“I mean this is Mystic Falls, a small town, nobody comes here.” He says scoffing.
“Well, I thought it’d be nice for me to finally settle into my roots as a founding family,” I responded.
“You come from a founding family here!?” He questions not believing me.
“Yes, I’m a Dumont. Might not be a name you hear often considering my family and I moved away about 12 years ago with my parents.”
“Wow, I was not expecting that. Well, I guess we should play catch up then,” Damon says, smirking and walking up next to me putting his arm around my shoulders before I push it off. But he just puts his arm back around my shoulders. We somehow ended up at his house and catching up with each other since it had been about two years since we met each other.
“I finally learned about the supernatural world… So two years ago, the whole thing about you being a vampire was true, but I didn’t believe it huh,” I say to Damon as we’re sitting on the couch in the grand room.
“Well sorta. I drank your blood, fed you mine, then compelled you to forget,” Damon explained loosely.
“So basically I was your personal blood bag,” I said, fake smiling at Damon as he nodded. “Well, I bite now so I wouldn’t try anything if I were you.”
“Huh?” Damon looks at me confused before we hear a knock at the door.
Damon gets up from the couch and opens the door. I follow closely behind. When he opens the door I see a tall brown-haired guy standing in the doorway for a brief second before Damon blocks my view.
“I need to talk to you” I hear the guy say.
“And why do I need to talk to you?” Damon responds and I roll my eyes at his dickishness, as he tries to close the door on the other guy.
“Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He’s not a werewolf yet.”
“Wow, fascinating. Not enough.” Damon says not impressed and tries to close the door again.
“I’m not sure what you have gotten yourself into this time but maybe you should listen to him,” I say but Damon ignores my comment.
“But Mason Lockwood is and he’s looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That’s why I’m here.” The guy says trying to convince Damon to give him his full attention.
“Wait, a moonstone? I’ve heard about it somewhere” I say trying to remember where I heard it from.
“I know where it is.” the guy responds.
“And you’re bringing me this why?“ Damon questions.
"This actually sounds important. You should stop being a dick and listen, Damon. Especially if it involves the moonstone, there’s something important about it. I just can’t remember,” I say sternly.
“And why do you seem to know so much about this moonstone, Athena?“ Damon questions me while keeping eye contact with the guy on the porch.
"Wait are you Athena Dumont?” The other guy asks me.
“Yeh, why?”
“I’m Jeremy Gilbert, you may not remember but you were best friends with my sister before you moved away.” He says as I think about it.
I was about to say something before Damon interrupted me “What’s your sister say about this little discovery, anyways?” Damon questions Jeremy, but no response is given. “Oh, you haven’t told her, have you?”
“Well, Elena doesn’t want me getting involved in all this,” Jeremy says sighing.
“And you’re a Gilbert and you just can’t help yourself. Wow. Your search for life’s purpose is as obvious as it is tragic.” Damon says. I roll my eyes at his dumb comment.
“You going to let me in or not?” Jeremy asks. I see Damon hesitate and I shove my way in to open the door.
I’m not sure why, but I’m interested in whatever trouble Damon has gotten himself in. But in all honesty, I am glad that I could possibly make some new friends here. Well, new old friends, I guess. Maybe even help them solve this little problem they have, whatever it is.
I see a blonde girl walk from what I assume is the kitchen, with a silver tray in hand, stocked full of food. She spots me sitting in the great room with Jeremy. “Hi, I’m Athena. I just moved into town and an old friend of Damon’s” I say to her smiling.
“I’m Caroline, your name sounds familiar. Have we met before or something?” She responds questioningly.
“She’s Athena Dumont, an old friend of yours, Bonnie and Elena’s when you guys were young. Oh, and she’s a founding family member” Jeremy says before I can respond.
“Oh my god, I remember. You just moved away when we were only like five years old. But how do you know that Jeremy?” Caroline responds.
“I just saw some old photos of you guys not too long ago,” Jeremy explains.
“Well, there’s this masquerade ball happening tomorrow and you should totally come and meet everyone else,” Caroline says before she heads off to some other part of the house.
I can’t help but shake that everyone else remembers who I am, yet I don’t. It’s almost like my memories of them were purged from my mind. I keep trying to jog my memory until my thoughts are interrupted by someone walking in the door with a box in hand. He’s a little older, maybe around Damon’s age when he became a vampire.
“What are you doing here?” He asks Jeremy.
“Helping Damon. I’m the one who found out about the moonstone.” Jeremy responds as the man looks at Damon.
“Does Elena know you’re here?”
“Not exactly,” Jeremy says, as the man looks at me.
“Hi, I’m Athena. I was just here when this was all unveiled.” I say the man looks at me slightly confused at why I’m here. “If you’re worried that all of this shouldn’t be said in front of me. I’m an old friend of Damon’s. And I’ve heard of the moonstone, so I thought that I may be of some help. If that’s ok.” I say picking up on his cautiousness.
“I’m Alaric, and if you’re up for getting caught in all this. Then, you’re more than welcome to stay and help.” He says in response and sets down the box he’s holding.
“What you got?” Damon says breaking the silence and starts to go through the box and picks up a book.
“This is Isobel research from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me.” Alaric says
“Mmm, Vanessa. The hottie.” I roll my eyes at Damon’s comment and bump my elbow on his side. He looks at me with a confused look and I just give him a look of why.
“Vanessa, yes. Now, do you remember the old Aztec curse she told us about?”
“Sun and the moon, blah blah blah blah blah.”
“An Aztec curse? Cool.” Jeremy says slightly excitedly.
“Yeah, supposedly vampires and werewolves used to roam freely until a shaman put a curse on them to limit their power. Since then, werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires are weakened by the sun.” Alaric explains as Damon shows off his daylight ring, “Most of them, anyway.”
“It sucks,” I say in response to the werewolf side of the curse.
“Wait am I missing something, here? How exactly do you know so much about the supernatural world?” Damon says looking at me questioningly.
“Yeh that comment about me biting, I’m a werewolf now. How did you not catch onto that? And the fact that I’m a Dumont.” I say defensively and a bit upset that he can’t pick up on a hint.
“I’m sorry I didn’t attend Mystic Falls supernatural People 101 “ He responds sarcastically and I just roll my eyes again.
"Well, if I could offer a piece of information. I do know that according to the legend, my wolf side, like every other werewolf, is sealed with the moonstone,” I say and Alaric nods and pulls out some sort of map.
“What do you mean sealed?” Jeremy questions as he looks at the map.
“It’s a witch thing, whatever seals the curse is usually the key to unsealing the curse,” Damon says from across the room.
“Maybe Mason Lockwood believes he can use the moonstone to break the curse,” Alaric says in response.
“If we start believing in some supernatural witchy-woo legend from a picture book, we’re idiots. Who has the stone now?” Damon says, sounding slightly more intrigued.
“Tyler” Jeremy responds to his question
“Can you get it?” I ask Jeremy even though I really have no clue what’s going on.
“Yeah.”
“See, now your life has purpose,” Damon says dickishly.
“Shut up Damon. I can help if you’d like” I sigh and Jeremy just looks at me nodding.
“This has nothing to do with you,” Damon says with a little harshness in his voice, but I ignore his comment.
“So, you do believe the curse?” Jeremy asks.
“It’s the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. Ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot. Let’s go.” Damon says, finishing his drink. I follow him and Jeremy out the door.
We make our way over to a mansion where it looks like they’re holding the masquerade ball Caroline told me about. Damon, Jeremy and I walk in, I follow behind Damon who walks up to a brunette girl, but I stay at a distance being respectful of their conversation.
“Looking for my baby bro. Speaking of, would you tell yours to stop following me around?” Damon says slightly louder. I assume this girl is Elena Gilbert. Damon then just walks past me and outside. I just stand in the room until I hear my name.
“Anyways, Elena, this is Athena Dumont, from our childhood. She just moved back in.” Jeremy says as I walk up to the siblings.
“Hi, forgive me, but honestly I don’t remember anyone from here, even though everyone remembers me. But it’s really nice to meet you.” I say nervously.
“Well, I’m Elena. It’s nice to meet you too.” She says smiling as Jeremy walks away leaving us alone.
“So, I noticed that you walked in with Damon. You should really watch out for him” Elena says, I offer to help her and she passes me some masks to sort
“Yeh, I know. We’re old friends. He tried to deter me from this whole situation you guys are in. Which in all honesty I still don’t have the full picture. But he couldn’t stop me since I have some helpful info.” I say and chuckle.
“Well, it’ll be nice to have another person around. But, I wouldn’t recommend sticking around.” Elena says coldly.
“Well, I’d be more than glad to help with whatever you guys need. I’ve heard about this curse and honestly, I have a feeling that I need to figure it out.” I respond.
“In that case, you should probably meet everyone else.” She says putting the masks down and gesturing to follow her outside.
We walk down into all the chaos of the outside set up. Elena first takes me to the guy named Matt I met earlier and a brown-haired guy. They were in the middle of a slightly heated conversation but Elena didn’t hesitate to interrupt.
“Hey guys, this is Athena. Athena this is Matt and Tyler” She says pointing to the blonde and then the brunette.
“Matt and I actually met earlier, I went to apply to the Mystic Grill,” I say, turning to Elena.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Tyler says looking at me up and down. Elena was then called over by someone and Matt just walked off, leaving me alone with Tyler. Or so I thought.
“Hey man,” Jeremy says walking over to Tyler and me. They started talking about the moonstone and I could sense that Tyler was uneasy about the fact that I was standing there. I look up to see Damon and another man standing next to him, so I decided to walk up to them.
“And who might this be,” I say to Damon, referring to the other man.
“This is my lovely baby bro, Stefan,” Damon says, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Are you not going to introduce me to your friend Damon?” Stefan questions looking at Damon.
Damon starts to open his mouth before I interrupt, “I am an old friend of Damon’s who just moved back into town. I’m Athena Dumont.” I say holding my hand out to Stefan. I see Stefan’s face light up slightly at the mention of my last name as he shakes my hand.
“Well, we are busy. I will come and get you later” Damon says walking away and Stefan following behind.
I see Elena sit down on the stairs with a concerned face. I walk over to her feeling awkward just standing here. “Everything alright?” I say sitting next to her.
“Sorta. Stefan, Damon’s brother. Isn’t filling me in on what’s going on.” she says upset.
“I’m sure he will. Just give it a moment. He did just walk off with Damon a few minutes ago.” I say looking at her, noticing she’s growing impatient. She looks at her phone and starts to call Stefan.
After a while, I go to find Damon. When I find him he’s in the front of the house with his brother and another girl. Who I assumed was a witch considering the concentration in her face and the man clutching his head. Damon knees the man in the face and then takes notice of me standing in the doorway. The two brothers take the man and put them in the back of the Jeep.
“Are you just gonna stand there or get in?” Damon says looking at me and gesturing for me to get in the Jeep with him.
“I guess I’m coming,” I say and hop in the back seat.
We drive back to the Salvatore house, once we arrive Damon picks up the man and carries him into the house as the girl and I follow behind him.
“I hate that this is the way we meet. But I’m Athena.” I say to her.
“My name is Bonnie. I’m sure you’ve guessed it but I’m the local witch.” She says with a little sarcasm in the word “local”.
We walk over to Damon, I look at the books on the shelves as Damon and Bonnie talk. I hear chains being pulled out of the bag that Bonnie had brought in, “You wanna make yourself useful and help me, Athena,” Damon says looking up at me. I sigh and walk over and grab a chain from him.
“Whoa. Looks like this guy’s used to being tied up” Bonnie says. I look up to Damon smirking at me, knowing that he’s thinking about our past together. I just roll my eyes at him as I help tie the guy to the chair.
“So is this the Mason Lockwood guy. You and Jeremy were talking about?” I say looking between Bonnie and Damon.
“Yup and we need him to give up the moonstone. What are you doing?” He says looking at Bonnie.
“You’re looking for the moonstone like you just said. I’m just trying to help” Bonnie says, taking Mason’s head in her hands. Damon responds with multiple requests as Bonnie starts to search his mind.
“Somewhere small. dark. There’s water.” Bonnie describes.
“Like a sewer?” I ask trying to help her description
“No. Like a well? That can’t be right. Yeah. It’s a well.”
“Why would it be in a well?” Damon questions
“I told you, I only get what I get.” She says with some haste, looking at Damon. Then Mason wakes up and grabs Bonnie’s arm. My immediate response was to grab Mason’s hand to make him let go. She rushes out of the room.
“Hey, judgey! Thank you,” Damon says to Bonnie. I look at him in surprise when he said that. I stay in the room with them, curious about this moonstone business. I sit down on one of the couches as Damon starts to interrogate Mason or at least attempt to.
I sit on the couch watching Damon’s interrogation technique. Mason struggles in the chair we chained him to and ends up falling backward as Damon heats up the metal poker in the fire. He sticks the poker into Mason’s upper right chest.
“You can hurt – good to know. I was afraid you were gonna be some beast with no affinity for pain.” He says nonchalantly.
I start to open my mouth but Damon stops me, “If you don’t approve, you can leave.” He says looking at me. I just sit back and stay quiet.
Damon starts to question Mason about this Katherine girl but gets no answer. This goes on for some time but Damon still wasn’t successful. I then see Jeremy walk into the room with a box in hand. I walk over to the box he had just set down and start to take some of the stuff out as Damon makes some whiny comments about Jeremy being here. I stop when I notice a familiar dried herb.
“What is it?” Damon asks, noticing my hesitation.
“I did a search on my phone. It’s a plant. Aconitum Vulparia. It grows in the mountainous areas of the northern hemisphere. Commonly known as aconite, blue rocket, and” Jeremy starts to explain handing the herb to Damon.
“Wolfsbane,” I say interrupting Jeremy, as he looks at me confused.
“What else did you read?” Damon asks looking at Jeremy.
“Well, every source says something different. One myth says it causes lycanthropy, which sounds bogus. Another one says that it protects people and another one says, well, it’s toxic.” Jeremy explains as Mason groans and I tense up.
“I’m guessing toxic,” Damon says, noticing me tensing up and hearing Mason groan.
“You guessed right,” I say, touching my finger to the herb, displaying its ability to harm werewolves. I inhale sharply and hold my finger from the pain. I see Jeremy’s face light up as he comes to the realization that I’m a werewolf.
Damon goes back to interrogate Mason, using his new toy. I wince and turn away when the wolfsbane is shoved into his mouth. It’s like I could almost feel the burning sensation in my own throat that Mason was experiencing. Even with the wolfsbane, Damon was unsuccessful. After multiple failed attempts at getting answers, Jeremy interrupts and tells Damon that maybe he should stop. He ignores the comment and threatens to take Mason’s eyes. This causes Mason to finally give him answers to the many questions. Once Mason stops giving answers, I could see in  Damon’s eyes that he wanted to kill him, I guess to cover his tracks.
Damon tries to get rid of Jeremy, knowing that he disapproves of the actions that are about to take place. But Jeremy just stands his ground and Mason pleads to him in order to keep Tyler safe. I walk around the chair pushing Damon out of the way.
“I may not know you or  Tyler that well. But I assure you I won’t let that happen. I know what the curse does to a person, I’m a werewolf. And I would never wish the curse on anyone” I say looking at Mason. I could feel the annoyance radiating off Damon.
“You should go, Jeremy,” Damon says, not even really responding to what I said.
“I’m staying, Damon. He’s had enough.” Jeremy says and I stand up between Damon and Mason.
The next thing I know Damon super speeds towards Jeremy, slamming him into the couch, “You wanted to be a part of this? Well, here it is! Kill or be killed! The guy is a werewolf; he’d kill me the first chance he got! So, you suck it up or leave.” He says with a menacing look in his face and holding Jermy by the throat.
“Damon! Stop.” I say trying to stop him from killing Jeremy. The only response I get back is wolfsbane being slammed onto my arm. He only lets go of both Jeremy and me, after I let out a gut-wrenching scream from the pain. Jeremy gets up from the couch after catching his breath and leaves, I follow behind just glaring at Damon.
Once we make it to the hall Jeremy stops and turns around, “ Are you ok?” He asks, bringing my arm up to look at the burn mark left by the wolfsbane.
“Yeh, it’ll heal” I respond sighing and looking at the burn starting to disappear.
I sit in the great room, not wanting to see Damon, but also not wanting to go back to my unfurnished home just yet. After a few minutes, Stefan walks into the house, with what I assumed was the moonstone, in hand.
“You ok? What did my brother do this time.” He asks me with slight concern in his voice.
“Yeh, he used his leverage for Mason on me. Wolfsbane. I’m fine now. He was just riled up, I’m sure he’s just about done now.” I say looking over towards the library.
“Well let’s  go see what he’s up to now?” Stefan says walking up to the couch, offering his hand to help me up.
We walk to the library and are greeted with Damon rolling up Mason’s dead body in the blanket he placed down earlier. I stop at the top small set of stairs while Stefan goes to show Damon the moonstone. I listen to their little brotherly banter and watch as Damon dials a number on Mason’s phone. It ends up being Katherine. From what I gathered, I could tell that they used to be romantically involved with one another and possibly Stefan too from his physical responses. A few hours later, I leave Stephan in the library to think and Damon follows behind me into the great room.
“Well, I’m going home,” I say turning to Damon
“Or you could stay here,” Damon says stepping closer to me with a smirk on his face. “Now I’m sure that your house is empty since you just moved in. Getting rid of all that old furniture and all. And I’m sure you’d rather sleep in a bed than on a couch.”
I sigh and look to the side, “Fine, I haven’t even paid the power and heating bill yet anyways. Luckily when I came over my bag was filled with new clothes I had bought. I’ll go find a room” I say looking back up at his sculpted face.
“Orrrrrrr you could stay in mine,” Damon says stepping even closer, making our bodies almost touch.
“After what you did to me today, I don’t think so. Not to mention, it kind of hurt me when you left me two years ago.” I say referring to when he left me two years ago.
“I’m sorry, it was because I was caught up in the moment,” he says with an apologetic voice.
“That’s what you always say” I respond as Damon steps away. I notice that he does so because we’re interrupted by a crying Elena rushing out.
Damon turns to her, “Elena. I riled Katherine up. I - I wasn’t thinking. I didn’t think.” He says to her just before she opens the door.
“It doesn’t matter, Damon. She won. Katherine won.” Elena says with teary eyes, before walking out.
Damon looks back at me with an upset face, I had never seen him like this before. He must really care for these people, more care than he’s ever shown me at least. I take a deep breath, grab my bag and head upstairs, leaving him alone in the great room. Once I got upstairs, I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to try to reconnect with Damon, so I looked for his room.
“You need help choosing a room?” I hear Stefan say walking up behind me.
“Ummm….I’m not sure if Damon told you this but we used to be involved with one another. I know it’s probably a mistake and I’m gonna regret it, but I thought that maybe we could possibly reconnect. So I’m looking for his room. That and I don’t think he’s gonna give me any other choice.” I say, half regretting what I just told him.
“It’s the one on the end,” He says pointing to the end of the corridor.
“Thanks,” I say and give him a hug, noticing that he’s upset. He hugs me back.
When I walk into Damon’s room I notice how big it is, including the ensuite bathroom. I set my stuff down by the dresser. I look up and notice a small familiar box sitting on the dresser. I open it up to find the moon-shaped necklace I lost when I was with him. It was a necklace that was given to me by my parents, at least I think so, I’ve had it for as long as I can remember.
I set it back down, start to undress and hop into the shower. It felt nice to clean myself off after today and gave myself time to think about what I’ve gotten myself into. When I finished showering and getting dressed to sleep, I was greeted by a shirtless Damon standing by the dresser.
“I see that you took my offer,” He says, continuing to rifle through his clothes in the dresser.
“I don’t think you’d take no for an answer,” I say walking over to him, he chuckles at my comment. I pick up the box that contained my necklace, “I thought I lost this forever” I say opening it up.
“I found it on some other girl. Of course, knowing it was yours and that it means a lot to you. I ripped it off her neck. You were already out of town before I could give it back to you. May I?” He says picking it up. I turn around allowing him to put the necklace around my neck.
“Thank you,” I said quietly, turning to face him, he gives me a little smile as he stares intently into my eyes.
Soon enough, I’m wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing my lips to his soft ones. He hesitates at first but gives in. He picks me up allowing me to wrap my legs around his waist. He super speeds us over to his bed and starts to undress me, feeling every inch of my body.
A/N: Here is the first chapter! I know it may be a bit messy, but I wanted to introduce to Athena to all/most of the characters pretty fast, considering that this episode also allowed it. I’m also still trying to figure out how I want to write since there is a lot of characters and dialogue in TVD. I hope you enjoyed and please let me know what you think. Any advice would great as well! :)

Caught in Between: 01. New Beginnings
IMPORTANT!!! TO ANYONE FOLLOWING OR READING MY TVD SERIES: This blog is currently my secondary blog. I have wanted to change it to primary for a while and since Tumblr does not allow it. I have created a new blog: @hyperion-moonbabe-1
I will be porting everything over to this blog including my series and possibly eventually delete it so I can use this name without the “-1” on the end. If you would like to continue to read my series, please know that it will be continued on my new blog. Thank you!
Edit: Update
Summary: Athena Dumont has finally found a place to call home after many years of foster homes and traveling. She had finally tamed her supernatural side and just wanted to live a normal teenage life. She quickly discovers that there is nothing normal about her hometown, Mystic Falls and gets sucked right back into the supernatural world.

"Hi, I was wondering if you guys were hiring," I said to a blonde-haired guy as I walked in.
"I'm not sure but, I can grab an application for you to fill out and pass it on to my manager," The blonde guy says and walks to the back. He returns with an application and a pen. I fill out the application and hand it back to the male.
"I'm Matt Donovan, nice to meet you."
"Athena Dumont, nice to meet you too," I say as I shake his hand.
"Wait as in the founding family Dumont?" He questions.
"Yeh, just moved back in today actually," I responded back.
"Welcome back to Mystic Falls, see you around," He smiles and goes back to work.
I continue to walk around the town looking for furniture to replace the old. After walking out of the last store I hear a familiar voice coming from behind me.
"What-a-surprise, Athena. Never thought I'd see you here in Mystic Falls." The familiar voice says.
"Damon," I turn around and give a fake smile. "And why would that be?" I question back.
"I mean this is Mystic Falls, a small town, nobody comes here." He says scoffing.
"Well, I thought it'd be nice for me to finally settle into my roots as a founding family," I responded.
"You come from a founding family here!?" He questions not believing me.
"Yes, I'm a Dumont. Might not be a name you hear often considering my family and I moved away about 12 years ago with my parents."
"Wow, I was not expecting that. Well, I guess we should play catch up then," Damon says, smirking and walking up next to me putting his arm around my shoulders before I push it off. But he just puts his arm back around my shoulders. We somehow ended up at his house and catching up with each other since it had been about two years since we met each other.
"I finally learned about the supernatural world... So two years ago, the whole thing about you being a vampire was true, but I didn't believe it huh," I say to Damon as we're sitting on the couch in the grand room.
"Well sorta. I drank your blood, fed you mine, then compelled you to forget," Damon explained loosely.
"So basically I was your personal blood bag," I said, fake smiling at Damon as he nodded. "Well, I bite now so I wouldn't try anything if I were you."
"Huh?" Damon looks at me confused before we hear a knock at the door.
Damon gets up from the couch and opens the door. I follow closely behind. When he opens the door I see a tall brown-haired guy standing in the doorway for a brief second before Damon blocks my view.
"I need to talk to you" I hear the guy say.
"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon responds and I roll my eyes at his dickishness, as he tries to close the door on the other guy.
"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet."
"Wow, fascinating. Not enough." Damon says not impressed and tries to close the door again.
"I'm not sure what you have gotten yourself into this time but maybe you should listen to him," I say but Damon ignores my comment.
"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why I'm here." The guy says trying to convince Damon to give him his full attention.
"Wait, a moonstone? I've heard about it somewhere" I say trying to remember where I heard it from.
"I know where it is." the guy responds.
“And you're bringing me this why?" Damon questions.
"This actually sounds important. You should stop being a dick and listen, Damon. Especially if it involves the moonstone, there’s something important about it. I just can’t remember," I say sternly.
“And why do you seem to know so much about this moonstone, Athena?" Damon questions me while keeping eye contact with the guy on the porch.
"Wait are you Athena Dumont?" The other guy asks me.
"Yeh, why?"
"I'm Jeremy Gilbert, you may not remember but you were best friends with my sister before you moved away." He says as I think about it.
I was about to say something before Damon interrupted me "What's your sister say about this little discovery, anyways?" Damon questions Jeremy, but no response is given. "Oh, you haven't told her, have you?"
"Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this," Jeremy says sighing.
"And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic." Damon says. I roll my eyes at his dumb comment.
"You going to let me in or not?" Jeremy asks. I see Damon hesitate and I shove my way in to open the door.
I'm not sure why, but I'm interested in whatever trouble Damon has gotten himself in.
"Hi, I'm Athena. I just moved into town and an old friend of Damon's" I say to her smiling.
"I'm Caroline, your name sounds familiar. Have we met before or something?" She responds questioningly.
"She's Athena Dumont, an old friend of yours, Bonnie and Elena's when you guys were young. Oh, and she's a founding family member" Jeremy says before I can respond.
"Oh my god, I remember. You just moved away when we were only like five years old. But how do you know that Jeremy?" Caroline responds.
"I just saw some old photos of you guys not too long ago," Jeremy explains.
"Well, there's this masquerade ball happening tomorrow and you should totally come and meet everyone else," Caroline says before she heads off to some other part of the house.
I can't help but shake that everyone else remembers who I am, yet I don't. It's almost like my memories of them were purged from my mind. I keep trying to jog my memory until my thoughts are interrupted by someone walking in the door with a box in hand. He's a little older, maybe around Damon's age when he became a vampire.
"What are you doing here?" He asks Jeremy.
"Helping Damon. I'm the one who found out about the moonstone." Jeremy responds as the man looks at Damon.
"Does Elena know you're here?"
"Not exactly," Jeremy says, as the man looks at me.
"Hi, I'm Athena. I was just here when this was all unveiled." I say the man looks at me slightly confused at why I'm here. "If you're worried that all of this shouldn't be said in front of me. I'm an old friend of Damon's. And I've heard of the moonstone, so I thought that I may be of some help. If that's ok." I say picking up on his cautiousness.
"I'm Alaric, and if you're up for getting caught in all this. Then, you're more than welcome to stay and help." He says in response and sets down the box he's holding.
"What you got?" Damon says breaking the silence and starts to go through the box and picks up a book.
"This is Isobel research from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me." Alaric says
"Mmm, Vanessa. The hottie." I roll my eyes at Damon's comment and bump my elbow on his side. He looks at me with a confused look and I just give him a look of why.
"Vanessa, yes. Now, do you remember the old Aztec curse she told us about?"
"Sun and the moon, blah blah blah blah blah."
"An Aztec curse? Cool." Jeremy says slightly excitedly.
"Yeah, supposedly vampires and werewolves used to roam freely until a shaman put a curse on them to limit their power. Since then, werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires are weakened by the sun." Alaric explains as Damon shows off his daylight ring, "Most of them, anyway."
"It sucks," I say in response to the werewolf side of the curse.
"Wait am I missing something, here? How exactly do you know so much about the supernatural world?" Damon says looking at me questioningly.
"Yeh that comment about me biting, I'm a werewolf now. How did you not catch onto that? And the fact that I'm a Dumont." I say defensively and a bit upset that he can’t pick up on a hint.
“I'm sorry I didn't attend Mystic Falls supernatural People 101 " He responds sarcastically and I just roll my eyes again.
"Well, if I could offer a piece of information. I do know that according to the legend, my wolf side, like every other werewolf, is sealed with the moonstone," I say and Alaric nods and pulls out some sort of map.
"What do you mean sealed?" Jeremy questions as he looks at the map.
"It's a witch thing, whatever seals the curse is usually the key to unsealing the curse," Damon says from across the room.
"Maybe Mason Lockwood believes he can use the moonstone to break the curse," Alaric says in response.
"If we start believing in some supernatural witchy-woo legend from a picture book, we're idiots. Who has the stone now?" Damon says, sounding slightly more intrigued.
"Tyler" Jeremy responds to his question
"Can you get it?" I ask Jeremy even though I really have no clue what's going on.
"Yeah."
"See, now your life has purpose," Damon says dickishly.
"Shut up Damon. I can help if you'd like" I sigh and Jeremy just looks at me nodding.
"This has nothing to do with you," Damon says with a little harshness in his voice, but I ignore his comment.
"So, you do believe the curse?" Jeremy asks.
"It's the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. Ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot. Let's go." Damon says, finishing his drink. I follow him and Jeremy out the door.
We make our way over to a mansion where it looks like they're holding the masquerade ball Caroline told me about. Damon, Jeremy and I walk in, I follow behind Damon who walks up to a brunette girl, but I stay at a distance being respectful of their conversation.
"Looking for my baby bro. Speaking of, would you tell yours to stop following me around?" Damon says slightly louder. I assume this girl is Elena Gilbert. Damon then just walks past me and outside. I just stand in the room until I hear my name.
"Anyways, Elena, this is Athena Dumont, from our childhood. She just moved back in." Jeremy says as I walk up to the siblings.
"Hi, forgive me, but honestly I don't remember anyone from here, even though everyone remembers me. But it's really nice to meet you." I say nervously.
"Well, I'm Elena. It's nice to meet you too." She says smiling as Jeremy walks away leaving us alone.
"So, I noticed that you walked in with Damon. You should really watch out for him" Elena says, I offer to help her and she passes me some masks to sort
"Yeh, I know. We're old friends. He tried to deter me from this whole situation you guys are in. Which in all honesty I still don't have the full picture. But he couldn't stop me since I have some helpful info." I say and chuckle.
"Well, it'll be nice to have another person around. But, I wouldn't recommend sticking around." Elena says coldly.
"Well, I'd be more than glad to help with whatever you guys need. I've heard about this curse and honestly, I have a feeling that I need to figure it out." I respond.
"In that case, you should probably meet everyone else." She says putting the masks down and gesturing to follow her outside.
We walk down into all the chaos of the outside set up. Elena first takes me to the guy named Matt I met earlier and a brown-haired guy. They were in the middle of a slightly heated conversation but Elena didn't hesitate to interrupt.
"Hey guys, this is Athena. Athena this is Matt and Tyler" She says pointing to the blonde and then the brunette.
"Matt and I actually met earlier, I went to apply to the Mystic Grill," I say, turning to Elena.
"It's nice to meet you," Tyler says looking at me up and down. Elena was then called over by someone and Matt just walked off, leaving me alone with Tyler. Or so I thought.
"Hey man," Jeremy says walking over to Tyler and me. They started talking about the moonstone and I could sense that Tyler was uneasy about the fact that I was standing there. I look up to see Damon and another man standing next to him, so I decided to walk up to them.
"And who might this be," I say to Damon, referring to the other man.
"This is my lovely baby bro, Stefan," Damon says, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you not going to introduce me to your friend Damon?" Stefan questions looking at Damon.
Damon starts to open his mouth before I interrupt, "I am an old friend of Damon's who just moved back into town. I'm Athena Dumont." I say holding my hand out to Stefan. I see Stefan's face light up slightly at the mention of my last name as he shakes my hand.
"Well, we are busy. I will come and get you later" Damon says walking away and Stefan following behind.
I see Elena sit down on the stairs with a concerned face. I walk over to her feeling awkward just standing here. "Everything alright?" I say sitting next to her.
"Sorta. Stefan, Damon's brother. Isn't filling me in on what's going on." she says upset.
"I'm sure he will. Just give it a moment. He did just walk off with Damon a few minutes ago." I say looking at her, noticing she's growing impatient. She looks at her phone and starts to call Stefan.
After a while, I go to find Damon. When I find him he's in the front of the house with his brother and another girl. Who I assumed was a witch considering the concentration in her face and the man clutching his head. Damon knees the man in the face and then takes notice of me standing in the doorway. The two brothers take the man and put them in the back of the Jeep.
"Are you just gonna stand there or get in?" Damon says looking at me and gesturing for me to get in the Jeep with him.
"I guess I'm coming," I say and hop in the back seat.
We drive back to the Salvatore house, once we arrive Damon picks up the man and carries him into the house as the girl and I follow behind him.
"I hate that this is the way we meet. But I'm Athena." I say to her.
"My name is Bonnie. I'm sure you've guessed it but I'm the local witch." She says with a little sarcasm in the word "local".
We walk over to Damon, I look at the books on the shelves as Damon and Bonnie talk. I hear chains being pulled out of the bag that Bonnie had brought in, "You wanna make yourself useful and help me, Athena," Damon says looking up at me. I sigh and walk over and grab a chain from him.
"Whoa. Looks like this guy's used to being tied up" Bonnie says. I look up to Damon smirking at me, knowing that he's thinking about our past together. I just roll my eyes at him as I help tie the guy to the chair.
"So is this the Mason Lockwood guy. You and Jeremy were talking about?" I say looking between Bonnie and Damon.
"Yup and we need him to give up the moonstone. What are you doing?" He says looking at Bonnie.
"You're looking for the moonstone like you just said. I'm just trying to help" Bonnie says, taking Mason's head in her hands. Damon responds with multiple requests as Bonnie starts to search his mind.
"Somewhere small. dark. There's water." Bonnie describes.
"Like a sewer?" I ask trying to help her description
"No. Like a well? That can't be right. Yeah. It's a well."
"Why would it be in a well?" Damon questions
"I told you, I only get what I get." She says with some haste, looking at Damon. Then Mason wakes up and grabs Bonnie's arm. My immediate response was to grab Mason's hand to make him let go. She rushes out of the room.
"Hey, judgey! Thank you," Damon says to Bonnie. I look at him in surprise when he said that. I stay in the room with them, curious about this moonstone business. I sit down on one of the couches as Damon starts to interrogate Mason or at least attempt to.
I sit on the couch watching Damon's interrogation technique. Mason struggles in the chair we chained him to and ends up falling backward as Damon heats up the metal poker in the fire. He sticks the poker into Mason's upper right chest.
"You can hurt -- good to know. I was afraid you were gonna be some beast with no affinity for pain." He says nonchalantly.
I start to open my mouth but Damon stops me, "If you don't approve, you can leave." He says looking at me. I just sit back and stay quiet.
Damon starts to question Mason about this Katherine girl but gets no answer. This goes on for some time but Damon still wasn't successful. I then see Jeremy walk into the room with a box in hand. I walk over to the box he had just set down and start to take some of the stuff out as Damon makes some whiny comments about Jeremy being here. I stop when I notice a familiar dried herb.
"What is it?" Damon asks, noticing my hesitation.
"I did a search on my phone. It's a plant. Aconitum Vulparia. It grows in the mountainous areas of the northern hemisphere. Commonly known as aconite, blue rocket, and" Jeremy starts to explain handing the herb to Damon.
"Wolfsbane," I say interrupting Jeremy, as he looks at me confused.
"What else did you read?" Damon asks looking at Jeremy.
"Well, every source says something different. One myth says it causes lycanthropy, which sounds bogus. Another one says that it protects people and another one says, well, it's toxic." Jeremy explains as Mason groans and I tense up.
"I'm guessing toxic," Damon says, noticing me tensing up and hearing Mason groan.
"You guessed right," I say, touching my finger to the herb, displaying its ability to harm werewolves. I inhale sharply and hold my finger from the pain. I see Jeremy's face light up as he comes to the realization that I'm a werewolf.
Damon goes back to interrogate Mason, using his new toy. I wince and turn away when the wolfsbane is shoved into his mouth. It's like I could almost feel the burning sensation in my own throat that Mason was experiencing. Even with the wolfsbane, Damon was unsuccessful. After multiple failed attempts at getting answers, Jeremy interrupts and tells Damon that maybe he should stop. He ignores the comment and threatens to take Mason's eyes.
"I may not know you or  Tyler that well. But I assure you I won't let that happen. I know what the curse does to a person, I'm a werewolf. And I would never wish the curse on anyone" I say looking at Mason. I could feel the annoyance radiating off Damon.
"You should go, Jeremy," Damon says, not even really responding to what I said.
"I'm staying, Damon. He's had enough." Jeremy says and I stand up between Damon and Mason.
The next thing I know Damon super speeds towards Jeremy, slamming him into the couch, "You wanted to be a part of this? Well, here it is! Kill or be killed! The guy is a werewolf; he'd kill me the first chance he got! So, you suck it up or leave." He says with a menacing look in his face and holding Jermy by the throat.
"Damon! Stop." I say trying to stop him from killing Jeremy. The only response I get back is wolfsbane being slammed onto my arm. He only lets go of both Jeremy and me, after I let out a gut-wrenching scream from the pain. Jeremy gets up from the couch after catching his breath and leaves, I follow behind just glaring at Damon.
Once we make it to the hall Jeremy stops and turns around, " Are you ok?" He asks, bringing my arm up to look at the burn mark left by the wolfsbane.
"Yeh, it'll heal" I respond sighing and looking at the burn starting to disappear.
I sit in the great room, not wanting to see Damon, but also not wanting to go back to my unfurnished home just yet. After a few minutes, Stefan walks into the house, with what I assumed was the moonstone, in hand.
"You ok? What did my brother do this time." He asks me with slight concern in his voice.
"Yeh, he used his leverage for Mason on me. Wolfsbane. I'm fine now. He was just riled up, I'm sure he's just about done now." I say looking over towards the library.
"Well let’s  go see what he's up to now?" Stefan says walking up to the couch, offering his hand to help me up.
We walk to the library and are greeted with Damon rolling up Mason's dead body in the blanket he placed down earlier. I stop at the top small set of stairs while Stefan goes to show Damon the moonstone. I listen to their little brotherly banter and watch as Damon dials a number on Mason's phone. It ends up being Katherine. From what I gathered, I could tell that they used to be romantically involved with one another and possibly Stefan too from his physical responses. A few hours later, I leave Stephan in the library to think and Damon follows behind me into the great room.
"Well, I'm going home," I say turning to Damon
"Or you could stay here," Damon says stepping closer to me with a smirk on his face. "Now I'm sure that your house is empty since you just moved in. Getting rid of all that old furniture and all. And I'm sure you'd rather sleep in a bed than on a couch."
I sigh and look to the side, "Fine, I haven't even paid the power and heating bill yet anyways. Luckily when I came over my bag was filled with new clothes I had bought. I'll go find a room" I say looking back up at his sculpted face.
"Orrrrrrr you could stay in mine," Damon says stepping even closer, making our bodies almost touch.
"After what you did to me today, I don't think so. Not to mention, it kind of hurt me when you left me two years ago." I say referring to when he left me two years ago.
"I'm sorry, it was because I was caught up in the moment," he says with an apologetic voice.
"That's what you always say" I respond as Damon steps away. I notice that he does so because we're interrupted by a crying Elena rushing out.
Damon turns to her, "Elena. I riled Katherine up. I - I wasn't thinking. I didn't think." He says to her just before she opens the door.
"It doesn't matter, Damon. She won. Katherine won." Elena says with teary eyes, before walking out.
Damon looks back at me with an upset face, I had never seen him like this before. He must really care for these people, more care than he's ever shown me at least. I take a deep breath, grab my bag and head upstairs, leaving him alone in the great room. Once I got upstairs, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to try to reconnect with Damon, so I looked for his room.
"You need help choosing a room?" I hear Stefan say walking up behind me.
"Ummm....I'm not sure if Damon told you this but we used to be involved with one another. I know it's probably a mistake and I’m gonna regret it, but I thought that maybe we could possibly reconnect. So I'm looking for his room. That and I don't think he's gonna give me any other choice." I say, half regretting what I just told him.
"It's the one on the end," He says pointing to the end of the corridor.
"Thanks," I say and give him a hug, noticing that he's upset. He hugs me back.
When I walk into Damon's room I notice how big it is, including the ensuite bathroom. I set my stuff down by the dresser. I look up and notice a small familiar box sitting on the dresser. I open it up to find the moon-shaped necklace I lost when I was with him. It was a necklace that was given to me by my parents, at least I think so, I've had it for as long as I can remember.
I set it back down, start to undress and hop into the shower. It felt nice to clean myself off after today and gave myself time to think about what I've gotten myself into. When I finished showering and getting dressed to sleep, I was greeted by a shirtless Damon standing by the dresser.
"I see that you took my offer," He says, continuing to rifle through his clothes in the dresser.
"I don't think you'd take no for an answer," I say walking over to him, he chuckles at my comment. I pick up the box that contained my necklace, "I thought I lost this forever" I say opening it up.
"I found it on some other girl. Of course, knowing it was yours and that it means a lot to you. I ripped it off her neck. You were already out of town before I could give it back to you. May I?" He says picking it up. I turn around allowing him to put the necklace around my neck.
"Thank you," I said quietly, turning to face him, he gives me a little smile as he stares intently into my eyes.
Soon enough, I'm wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing my lips to his soft ones.

Always On My Mind
Ethan x Reader ft Teamiplier
Warnings: Angst
Requested by: @glorious-idiot
Hey! Can I request either a really fluffy crankgameplays x reader with teamiplier ir a really angsty one (maybe injured reader)? Thanks love💙💙💙💙
Warnings: breakup, yelling, crying, mentions of familial death.
DISCLAIMER: Some of the things Y/N mentions that Ethan did make Ethan out to be a total asshole, and this is definitely not true according to real life. This is also not how I, as the author see Ethan, or believe that he would treat his significant other this way.
Author’s Note: I may or may not have been inspired by a song, which I would suggest listening to as you read! I hope you enjoy! I also had to end it with a kinda sweet end bc I'm a fluff writer at heart
Song: Always On My Mind by Michael Buble
--------------
“Ethan, it’s just not working!” you shouted, grabbing your clothes out of the closet. After a few weeks of thinking about leaving, you were finally walking away from Ethan. Of course, he was trying to stop you from leaving.
“Y/N, please just listen to me! I can try and fix it, you just need to tell me what’s wrong!” Ethan was really completely oblivious.
“Tell you what’s wrong? Ethan, you hardly ever paid any attention to me. I was always taking second place in your life. I started to feel like you didn’t want to be in this relationship anymore, and after time, I didn’t want to either. I tried to tell you how I was feeling, but every time I tried, you were ‘busy’ or ‘wasn’t able to talk’ So when I want being listened to, and couldn’t tell you that, I made my choice.”
“Y/N, I didn’t stop caring about you at all! I still love you as I did when we were first dating! Just give me another chance to show you that!” That hurt….
“No, because I know you Ethan. It will change for a little bit, but soon you’ll just go back like before.” You were starting to tear up, you did still love him, but it would be better for you if you left...eventually
“Y/-”
“Ethan, just stop okay! This is already hard enough for me to do! I love you Ethan, but all the arguments, the times you just brushed me off when I needed you, all that and the little things you never did, all of that took its toll on me. I don’t want to do this, but I need to do this. If you truly loved me, you would understand. So please just leave me alone!” You were sobbing, but you never looked him in the eye. With some of your clothes in hand, you walked over to your-er- Ethan’s bed, where your suitcase was sitting open, with a few of your belongings sitting inside. Ethan walked out of the room, leaving you alone. Setting you clothes down on the bed, you walked over to the door and closed it.
You sank to the floor
Why am I leaving him? I love him so much, and he said he would make an effort to change.
No.
My mind is made up. I can’t change it now.
After about 10 minutes, through your sobs you faintly heard a small knock at the bedroom door. You stood up, and tried to compose yourself as much as you can before you opened it.
“I know you told me to leave you alone, but you left your phone out here, and I figured you couldn’t hear it ringing. So here.” Ethan held your phone out to you. You took it out of his hands, and nodded.
“Thank you. Ethan.” He lingered for a moment before silently walking away. Closing the door, you looked at your phone.
Missed Call: Kathryn
You were going to be moving in with Kathryn once you got all your stuff packed up. You sent her a quick text composed of “Hey, I'll call you in just a minute.” before setting your phone on the bed and walking out of the bedroom.
….
As you walked out, you saw Ethan sitting on the sofa with his head in his hands. You walked over to the sofa and sat on the side opposite of him. Ethan raised his head when he heard your footsteps. “Ethan, there's no reason this means we can't be friends. I would honestly like us to be friends. I don't want to cut you out of my life completely, and I don't want our friends to feel like things will be awkward if we are both in the same place. We can be civil about this. Right?” “Right… i- I just have to ask. Was it a thing I did, didn't do, or did the love in this relationship just become one sided?” you sighed and brushed your hair out of your face. “The first two. I know I kind of said it earlier, but I didn't really explain well. There were smaller things, like when I would say “I love you” before you went to record and you just said “Yeah”. And when eventually, you just stopped saying it. Before we started living together, you would always tell me that you were “so happy I was yours” and then as soon as we started living together, I just felt like I was prioritized behind everything else in your life. Then other things like when I very clearly needed to be with someone, and you just brushed me off. Like when my grandpa died. I got the call, and broke down on the living room floor. You were out with Mark, Tyler, Amy, and Kathryn recording stuff at the time. You came by the apartment to grab something you had forgotten, and when you walked past the living room, you came over to me and asked if I was okay. When I explained what  happened, you held me for a short moment, and just said they were waiting on you, and walked out without making sure I would be okay alone. ” You continued to tell him about other things that lead up to your decision
The two of you sat in silence as Ethan processed this. “Y/N, I'm so sorry. I never realized that I was doing that.” You started to stand as he finished talking. “I understand that, but that doesn't change the past. I'm going to go and finish packing. I'll be out of your hair soon.” Ethan nodded, and you walked back into the bedroom and finished packing.
You called Kathryn and told her you were leaving soon as you gathered the last of your things. When you hung up, you zipped up your bags and took one last look around the room. There were a lot of good memories here, and through the whole apartment. You were going to miss it, but this was for the best. You two were, and would hopefully continue to be, good friends. It just didn't work romantically. You grabbed your stuff and walked out of the room.
“Well, I'm all set.” Ethan walked over to you slowly. He nodded. “Do you have a place to go? I can sleep on the couch or something.” “Yeah, I have somewhere. I'm going to be staying with Kathryn until I can get a place of my own.” “Cool…” there was a moment of silence, with unspoken words hanging in the air. The Ethan said something. “I just want you to know, I honestly never stopped loving you. I'm sorry I was blind to everything I was doing, and how it hurt you, the little things I should have said and done, but just didn't take the time to do. But, Y/N, you were always on my mind.” “Apology accepted E. That doesn't fix everything, but I appreciate you saying that.” Ethan sighed, “I guess this is goodbye then.” “No, Ethan. I don't want this to be goodbye. Like I said earlier, I don't want to completely cut you out of my life. We were good friends, I even considered you my best friend. We can still be that, just not romantically. So instead of goodbye, “See you later?”” He smiled slightly and nodded. “See you later, Y/N”

More Than A Mission H.O [2/4]
pairing: spy!Harrison Osterfield x spy!reader
SPY!AU | masterlist
A/N: I hope all of you like this second chapter! I love writing this story so much you can’t even imagine 😩❤️ Enjoy some cute tropes and two oblivious fools! Feedback or comments are always nice! (idk if I saw all of my mistakes but I hope I did! If I didn't sorry!)
Tumblr media
Some people say they can’t pinpoint the exact moment they fell in love. You had heard it multiple times, the old “I don’t know when it started” and the “It started long before I even realized” family and friends always seemed to say that about the people they loved. But for you? For you it wasn’t like that.
When it came to Harrison Osterfield, your feelings were like walking down a long hallway with old and new memories you made together hanging from the walls until you reached a dark room. Its too dark to see anything at first and you’re too unsure and afraid to move until something happens and switches the lights on to reveal your best friend in front of you. You see him there smiling and the ground underneath you crumbles because that smile had never made you feel like that before and you love it. In that moment you let yourself fall and you love him.
In reality, it didn’t happen in a dark room and there was no hallway, there was only a hostage extraction simulation and guns with paint balls in them.
------
“Lopez, Richards, I need report on the first floor.” You spoke through your earpiece as you ascended the stairs for the third floor of the building. The paint was chipping from the wall on your right which made tiny pieces of paint fall on your shoulder  and the wood under your foot creaked loudly with your next step making you wince. “Johnson, Davis, second floor report. Guys, skip this step.” You spoke to your team behind you as you continued to move.
Four pairs of footsteps followed you upstairs, guns ready and ears sharp for any sounds. After clearing the first two floors and coming to the conclusion that the hostages must be on the third, you had left parties of two behind to give you any updates and took the rest of the team with you to finish the mission. Harrison was right behind you and behind him in a neat line was Nadia Rodriguez, Tyler O’Connor and Stephanie McDougall. The five of you had been together since you started the academy so you trusted each other to complete this mission and pass the simulation.
“All clear in first floor, exists covered.”
“Second floor secure, Davis is guarding the stairs.”
“Good, now Lee, I need eyes on the third floor. What are going up against?” You held your hand up for your team to stop as you heard movement down the hallway. The dark blue walls had concrete spots where the paint was falling from and there were lighter rectangles on them from the paintings that must have been hung there before. Sunlight streamed from a hole in the ceiling and small particles of dust could be seen floating in the air as everyone held their breath and stood still. You lowered your hand once the movement subsided and continued to walk down the hall only to stop when it split into two separate ones.
“The two paths lead towards the same room according to the blueprints.” Lee spoke on your earpieces, “There’s a door to the right and one to the left. There’s a heat signal coming from inside so that’s where the hostages should be.”
“Thanks Lee. Keep me posted.” You lowered your gun and turned to your team, “Alright guys, we’re almost done so here’s what we’ll do. Osterfield, you and Rodriguez come with me to the right and O’Connor takes the left with McDougall. We’ll go in through the right first and the left team enters on my signal. All of you copy?”
Your eyes met Harrison’s and you knew right away that he could read how nervous you actually were, if this went south it was mainly on your head but everyone else could fail because of you. He gave you a nod, his gaze reassuring and his lips moving upwards to form a barely perceptible smile. No one else would’ve seen it but you were best friends, so you noticed small things like that. “Copied.” They all replied in unison and took their place on each side of the wall before stepping into the next hallway.
“Stay alert for any movement.” You turned your head for a second to address everyone before you were shoved to the side at the sound of a gunshot. A perp had been guarding one of the doors and had aimed his shot at you but there was no paint on your vest, Harrison’s however was decorated with a blue stain in the middle of his chest.
The human mind works in odd ways, your brain knew it was only a fake bullet but your heart took a blow nevertheless. Your mouth fell open in shock and anger boiled up in the pit of your stomach while you raised your gun to shoot the perp between the eyes, staining his protective goggles along with part of his nose and mouth. “Rodriguez go to the door, I’ll be right there. You two, be ready.”
You motioned Nadia to move towards the door behind you before instructing the other two 15 feet across from you to do the same with their door. Your right hand was closed in a tight first as you leaned down to Harrison’s eye level as he sat against the chipping wall. “Why would you do that, Osterfield. You knew I needed you to be in there with me.”
“Because the team needs you. You keep all of us going, YN, you’re our secret weapon.” Harrison’s smile was blinding and you felt your stomach do twenty jumping jacks in a row while the ground crumbled underneath you. “Now go and save those hostages.”
You nodded your head, unable to form coherent words as your feelings twisted your throat into a knot the size of your fist. You stood up and walked towards the door where Nadia waited for you, sparing a last glance at Harrison who sent a wink your way. Well shit, I think I just fell in love. You shook yourself out of your thoughts and gave Nadia a signal before you kicked the door open, you had some hostages to rescue.
-----
The cool October air bites at your cheeks as you step out of the taxi and walk towards the hotel in front of you. Your black ankle boots scratch the pavement underneath you and the scarf around your neck hits you in the face as you wheel your suitcase behind you, sunglasses perched on top of your nose and coffee balanced on your left arm. A pattern had been found between the appearances of certain members of Marioli’s cartel that linked them to 28th street and 3rd avenue. According to special intel, their rendezvous point seemed to be in an apartment building conveniently placed diagonally to the Hotel Beatrice. Director Diaz had organized for the hotel to free the room closest to the apartment building  so that Harrison and you could stakeout the location and hopefully find a way to discover the where Folini and Marioli’s deal will take place.
You push your sunglasses back over your head as you reach the front desk. A tall man in his  mid-forties greets you with a kind smile when you approach him, his hazel eyes hide behind big black rimmed glasses and his hair is covered in a thick layer of gel. “Good afternoon miss, how can I help you.”
“Hello, I have a booking under the last name Roberts.” You smile as you set your suitcase next to you, place the coffee down and lean your elbows on the counter.
“Oh yes, your husband is already upstairs. He arrived about thirty minutes ago, room 408.” He types something in the computer in front of him and clicks the mouse a couple of times before he hands you a key card with a smile. “I hope the two of you enjoy your stay, your room service is already paid for.”
“I’m sure we’ll have a lovely time.” You offer him a smile back, glancing down at his name tag to address him by his name and remember it out of a habit. “Thank you very much Lionel, see you around.”
With a small wave you head towards the elevator and wait for the doors to open while looking at you surroundings. The building has an old ambiance to it, a big staircase with elegant but old golden banisters sits to your left, leading towards the mezzanine and various paintings decorate the dark green walls. You get to notice a beautiful lamp hovering over the lobby’s waiting area before the elevator’s ding takes your gaze away from it as you step inside the cart. Your hands sweat all the way to the fourth floor, and your grip on your suitcase’s handle is so tight your knuckles turn white and your palm hurts. The thought of staying in a hotel room with Harrison for a couple of days wants to send you into a frenzy but you manage to tone down your panic while you find room 408 and open the door. Toning down your panic, however, goes out of the window when you spot the bed in the middle of the room. Only one bed. A queen bed. One.
You take a deep breath to calm down, hearing the shower running inside the bathroom and willing your heart to stop beating so loudly before Harrison saw you. “I’m so screwed.”
Harrison didn’t make you nervous, he was your best friend for heaven’s sake, youmade yourself nervous. After not seeing him for so long, all your practiced behavior around him was long forgotten and you were lost when it came to not letting him know how you felt. You forgot how to hide it and the thought of him finding out and it interfering with the mission and your friendship was enough to make you crawl into a hole and die. With another deep breath you kick off your boots, set the coffee on the desk and your suitcase next to Harrison’s opened one before you walk towards the table with all of the case’s information. You notice a folder full of pictures and flip it open to check the contents inside. Several men are in the photographs, walking, standing while waiting for the traffic light to change, talking on the phone.
You turn one photograph around, Marioli’s men: subject #16 [12:00am]is scribbled behind it along with the date and place of the photograph. The one you were currently holding was right in front of the hotel as the man in the odd baseball jersey walked into the apartment building. You sit down on the middle of the bed, crossing your legs under you and start organizing the pictures by location in front of you. Your feelings were pushed to the back of your mind as you tried to find a connection between everyone photographed other than them going into the same apartment building or the excessive jewelry hanging from their necks.
“Oh you arrived!” You hear a smile in Harrison’s voice as he opens the bathroom door and walks out towards his suitcase. “Early as usual.” His teasing tone makes you tear your gaze away from the photographs, ready to retort that it was the first time you were late to any meeting when your words get caught in your throat. The sight that greets you is definitely a sight, but not one you were expecting.
He wore only grey sweatpants that hung low on his hips as his back faced your way. His skin still had droplets of water scattered over his back and his muscles, those damn muscles, moved as he looked for something in his suitcase. Your eyes followed every moment, finally having a close look at how toned he had gotten in two years specially when his biceps flexed as he put a t-shirt on. Thank god. You realize your cheeks are burning and your jaw is about to reach the floor when Harrison starts turning around to face you. With another deep breath you take your thoughts away from his almost perfect body and pretend to concentrate on the pictures in front of you.
“This is the first time I’m late Harrison.” You speak up as you continue to distribute pictures by location  and lining them up from closets to furthest distance from the apartment building. “Besides, I brought coffee.” Your shoulders move up and down and you don’t even dare to look into his eyes in fear of getting flustered and having Harrison ask what was wrong. Oh nothing, just the usual, I’m in love with you and you looked really fucking hot without a shirt one so I think I might blush if we make eye contact.
Harrison looks at the two coffee cups that you had set on the desk before chuckling and looking your way fondly, not that you saw it anyways, since your focus on was on the pictures. “Do you always bring coffee to make up for being late?” There’s amusement in his voice and something else, which makes you look up.
His eyes are soft, like they always seem to be whenever he looks at you nowadays which makes a shy smile appear on your face. “No… I bring it in hopes you’ll forgetthat I was late…” Your eyebrows furrow as you finish speaking while your eyes scan over the pictures and find a connection.
“What’s wrong, what did you find?” Harrison speaks up as he moves to sit next to you but you hold your hand up so he would let you concentrate.
“All of these men… their t-shirt match their original location. Look,” You say scooting closer to your partner, “This guy walked from 23rd street to the 30th and he’s wearing a 23 in his t-shirt. I thought it was a coincidence because they’re not all wearing the same shirt but this guy walked down from 42nd and his baseball jersey has a 42, this one’s t-shirt has a 19 and many of them are wearing the same t-shirt again.
“So they have a sort of uniform to keep track of the people in each location where they have a hideout.” Harrison picks up two pictures of two different guys that were wearing the same t-shirt with a 30 on it.
“And they all report back to the main headquarters that are right in front of us! Those are only Marioli’s men though and half of the pictures in this file, we still need something on Folini to tie everything together-”
“And  find out where the deal will take place.” Harrison nods his head, turning to look at you before his face breaks out into a smile. Yours does the same at the way the two of you still manage to finish each other sentences and put all the pieces of the puzzle together after two years of being apart. “Nice find, Y/N.”
“Thanks, Haz.” You look away from the beautiful blue of this eyes and back at the pictures, your hand pushing a strand behind your ear while you tried to keep your emotions at bay. “Come on, we can use this wall to put all of these and the rest of the pictures up. And grab a coffee I was late getting your favorite.” Your shoulder bumps into his making him chuckle and shake his head before the two of you got up from the bed and got to work.
-----
It took the two of you almost three hours but all of the pictures were finally sorted and taped to the wall. You had found a weekly pattern between all of the men that were photographed, and identified Folini’s men by a tattoo all of them sported on the side of their neck. The tattoo design matched Folini’s cartel’s crest that he always wears on his pinky finger that had been pictured on a different occasion. You and Harrison worked in sync, making notes and connecting pictures and clues with a red string once you saw a pattern. Your heart fluttered every time your hands would touch and your cheeks burned every time Harrison smiled at you when you made a new discovery. It was as if nothing had changed but things had actually changed, you realize now how in love you had been and still are with him. Even after two years, your feelings hadn’t lessened at all, if anything they felt stronger than before and now your heart ached because he was so close but so far at the same time.
“Today was great, I’ve missed this. So much.” Harrison speaks up as the two of you lied in bed. The room was dark except from the light coming from the lampposts outside of the hotel that illuminated the floor next to your side of the bed. Your eyes were tired and your body craved sleep, the clock on the nightstand read 12:35 but you couldn’t go to bed. Not until you got something off your chest, something you worried about every day since Harrison left.
“I’ve missed you.” You say softly, your hands gripping the comforter tightly to keep yourself from tearing up. “I truly have, Harrison, and I need you to know that.”
“Y/N-”
“No. I-I didn’t write as often when you were gone and I know that but please don’t think it’s because I didn’t want to or because I didn’t miss you. They, um, they told me not to bother you, that this was important to you and to cut all ties with your life here was better… so I followed those orders.” You squeeze your eyes shut and calm your breathing as you talked so that Harrison wouldn’t know you were crying, especially not about something that happened so long ago.
“I know.” Harrison whispers back after a few minutes and shift in his place to face your back. “They said the same thing to me so I guessed you had received similar orders. There wasn’t one second that I thought you had forgotten about me, Y/N. Just like there wasn’t one where I didn’t miss you.” His voice is quiet, also inaudible but you heard it
You felt your shoulders relax at his words, you felt your stomach do backflips and you felt his eyes on you. Without another word you turned around, facing Harrison in the dark but staying at an arm’s length. This doesn’t mean that he’s in love with you, remember that. His hand reaches out until it touches your face, his thumb wiping away the tears that fell down your cheek.
“Don’t cry, we’re back together again. Y/N and Harrison, the FBI’s finest… Bad guys’ worst nightmare.” Although you couldn’t see Harrison’s smile, you knew it was there, unwavering, comforting and never failing to bring one on your face as well.
You let out a soft laugh, both in relief and in response to his dorky self. “Remember that time with the hostage extraction test? We were top of the class… You, um, you took that fake bullet for me.”
“And I’d do it again if I had to, because you’re the one who got our team to the top. I couldn’t let that guy fake-kill you.” Harrison’s thumb caresses your cheek softly once more before he brings his arm back to his side. His eyes are scanning your face, you can feel them on you and you hold your breath at the feeling growing inside of your chest. Why does he make me feel this way, one sentence and I’m a lovesick mess.
“We should- We should probably go to sleep. Big day tomorrow.” You clear your throat and turn back to face the hotel’s door. Your feelings were making their way to the surface and you needed to sleep before you confessed them all to him, well, more than what you already said. “And Haz? I’d take one for you too.”
“I know.” He whispers, waiting a couple of seconds before turning to face the other side as well. “Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Night, Haz.”
----
You wake up the next day  feeling warm and well rested under the covers, you feel safe and comfortable and you never want to leave the bed again. You want to ignore the alarm going off on the night stand and keep on sleeping. Your pillow is too soft to abandon it, it’s as if it was keeping you close to it, never wanting to let go and you sure as hell don’t want to either. The pillow starts moving underneath you though, it shifts a little to the right and suddenly the alarm stops and silence fills the room once again. You open your eyes slowly, and furrow your eyebrows when you see Harrison’s navy blue t-shirt underneath you. The warm feeling that surrounded you minutes ago were his arms that were holding you close to him. His heartbeat is steady under your ear and he chest rises and falls with every breath he takes. Alarms go off in your head as you realize what was going on, you were cuddling Harrison Osterfield. Your face was buried in his chest, your legs were tangled with each other and your hand was holding his next to your head. What?
“Good morning,” Harrison’s voice is raspy with sleep which makes your chest flutter at the same time your brain tries to find a way to make the situation less awkward. You dare to look up at him, dazzling blue eyes heavy with sleep and a soft smile grazed his features. It was as if the universe was looking for the most cruel ways to make you fall even more for him when you knew it wasn’t the same for him. It’s giving you a glimpse at how it would be like to wake up in the arms of the man you loved, and doing it so while you were awake so that you knew that it was never going to happen. Your heart aches for him while simultaneously breaking because of him.
“Umm… hi.” You offer him a sleepy smile back before letting go of his hand and pulling away from his embrace. This is so embarrassing. “Big day today, I... I gotta pee.” With that you get off the bed and move towards the bathroom to collect yourself and give your heart a break from the torture it was going through. How am I going to survive 5 more days like this?
While you panicked, paced and panicked some more in the bathroom, you were unaware of Harrison’s own racing heart. Unaware of the frown that had come to his face when you had hurried away from the bed. Totally and completely unaware that all your fears and wishes matched his and that whatever hopelessness you felt, he felt it too.
One wall separates the two of you, three words are fighting to be uttered by your lips and the same thought goes through both of your minds:
  I’m so fucking screwed.

Part One: Ableism
TW for: abuse, ableism
So. Some of you may have seen posts about me that were written by my ex-boyfriend/datemate, Ezri (tumblr user @regal-roman and @panpunksexual).
The first post (https://regal-roman.tumblr.com/post/170845546062/he-was-abusive-i-know-he-couldnt-help-that-he)
Tumblr media
[Transcript: He was abusive. I know he couldn’t help that he had mental illness, just like I can’t help that I do.
But his illness hurt other people. His illness hurt me all the time. But no matter how many times I asked, he would never get treatment so he wouldn’t hurt me anymore.
I am not ableist. I don’t believe that I’m better than him because I don’t have the illness he has. I wouldn’t mind him having his illness at all if he weren’t hurting other people.
If you are hurting other people because of your mental illness, it is your responsibility to get treatment so you no longer harm others. Victims should not have to accept abuse just because the perpetrators were mentally ill.]
To begin with, the “illness” they are talking about? Dissociative Identity Disorder [DID]. According to the DSM-5 [Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder, Fifth Edition] DID is diagnosed through five criteria. For efficiency’s sake we will only be focusing on the first criteria (criteria A) which is detailed as followed: “A. Disruption of identity characterized by two or more distinct personality states, which may be described in some cultures as an experience of possession. The disruption of marked discontinuity in sense of self and sense of agency, accompanied by related alterations in affect, behavior, consciousness, memory, perception, cognition, and/or sensory-motor functioning. These signs and symptoms may be observed by others or reported by the individual.” [Information taken from: http://traumadissociation.com/dissociativeidentitydisorder#dsm5, further reading can be done at: https://www.healthyplace.com/abuse/dissociative-identity-disorder/dissociative-identity-disorder-did-dsm-5-criteria/]
The line “distinct personality states” is of significance here. Alters (also known as headmates or system members) are separate from the core/original. They are different people occupying the same space. Yes, there are alters known as fragments or shards that are not “complete” personalities, however out of a system of eleven only two of our members are fragments (Anya, a trauma holder and Frank, a protector, neither of whom can front independently). The other nine members of our system are fully formed and act independently of each other. For the purpose of this explanation we will however, not discuss certain members of our system for various reasons, largely because they never directly interacted with Ezri. They are as follows: Nina (a four to six year old child alter), Lucien (a 600 year old vampire priest), Harley (a fictive of Harley Quinn) as well as our fragments Frank (a fictive of Frank Castle, the Punisher) and Anya (a fictive of Anya from the 100). The alters that are important to our narrative are: Lucille (protector), L337 (protector), Gl!!tch/Glitch (protector), Luna (protector/headspace manager), AJAX (protector-ish) and ting (core).
I began my three-month altercation with Ezri on October 18th, 2017. They had known that I had DID and at first their general attitude about it was positive, even before we had begun dating.

panpunksexual 09/27/2017 This is gonna sound dorky but the way I view you being a system is literally “well that means more friends”]
They continued to ask questions about it, claiming that they had a “pretty good understanding of it. The best I could get without being a system myself”

panpunksexual 10/24/2017 When I was first learning about it, I never thought it was weird and I still don’t. I was really curious about it, but I didn’t want to ask a bunch of questions and seem like [I] had a creepy fascination with it

panpunksexual 10/24/2017 I think I have a pretty good understanding of it now. The best I can get without being a system myself I’m a pretty optimistic person, so I view it as just having more friends, even though I’m only dating you and not any of the others]
To continue with their claims about me, we come across the line “…his illness hurt other people.” No example of “other people” are given (likely because none can be found). My DID has never hurt anyone directly. My alters (predominantly L337, Gl!!tch and AJAX) have been rude or cruel to Ezri, which they should be held accountable for (even though they were simply attempting to defend me or themselves) and AJAX had previously caused me (and only me) physical harm but he is the only alter that has caused physical harm to anyone. Ezri continues with “But no matter how many times I asked, he would never get treatment so he wouldn’t hurt me anymore.” This is simply untrue, although the ‘treatment’ I am in may not be what he wanted.
If we look at this article by Natasha Tracy “DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER (DID) TREATMENT” [found here: https://www.healthyplace.com/abuse/dissociative-identity-disorder/dissociative-identity-disorder-did-treatment-challenging/] a list of treatment options and goals are provided. Treatment options are:
Tumblr media
[Transcript: Dissociative Identity Disorder Treatment Types
Dissociative identity disorder is primarily treated with psychotherapy of various types. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the following are DID therapy types:
Psychotherapy – often thought of as “talk therapy.” This DID therapy encourages communication of conflicts and insight into problems.
Cognitive therapy – involves changing dysfunctional thought patterns.
Family therapy – helps to educate the family about the disorder, recognize its presence as well as work through issues that have developed in the family because of dissociative identity disorder.
Creative therapies such as art or music therapy – allows the patient to explore thoughts, feelings and memories in a safe and creative way.]
Treatment goals are as follows:
Tumblr media
[Transcript: Dissociative Identity Disorder Treatment Goals
There are many dissociative identity disorder treatment goals. The goals of DID treatment include ensuring the safety of the patient, symptom relief as well as:
“Reconnecting” all existing DID alters into one, well-functioning identity
Allowing the person to safely express and process painful memories
Developing new and healthy coping skills
Restoring functionality
Improving relationships]
We are in therapy and have been for the past two years, seeing a therapist weekly (Wednesday’s at 5:30) which has been beneficial to us and helped us with symptom relief, safety (AJAX no longer poses a threat to me), processing trauma, developing functionality and improving relationships. The only area that we do not, have not, and will not ‘work on’ is integration. Integration is the 'reconnection’ of alters and is not a healthy or tenable option for us and would cause us more harm than good at this point in our lives. Our therapist, a trained medical professional, agrees. Ezri, who is a teenager and not a trained medical professional, decided otherwise and considered it the only acceptable form of treatment and only valid form of treatment. Please note that the only reason they say I should get treatment (which I have been in for two years) is for their benefit, not mine, not anyone else’s. Just theirs.
The third paragraph states “I am not ableist. I don’t believe that I’m better than him because I don’t have the illness he has. I wouldn’t mind him having his illness at all if he weren’t hurting other people.” He begins saying that he is “not ableist” despite the numerous derogatory remarks he has made towards me and my system members about DID, frequently calling them less than human or not real, saying that he is “how things should be” and that we are not normal or less than human.

newt on a newt 12/11/2017 DID is caused by childhood trauma that is so severe that a child’s brain cannot handle it, causing the mind to splinter and break, forming a completely separate personality.

panpunksexual 12/12/2017 Yeah]
Ezri clearly seems to view DID/being a system as something that is unnatural and wrong, something to be “fixed” even when it is important to my survival. Their actions and words indicate and are proof of their ableism, which they are not exempt from just because they aren’t neurotypical. Having BPD/BD does not mean he cannot be prejudiced against other people.
“I wouldn’t mind him having his illness at all if he wasn’t hurting other people.” As said before, my DID hurt no one but Ezri and even then it was only a few people acting in defense of me, more comparable to your best friends telling someone who is hurting you to go fuck themself that to being hurt by an illness. “Other people” were not being hurt as anyone who is close to me can attest. They are attempting to use unnamed and made-up “other people” to back up their ungrounded accusations.
I agree with their final paragraph, however 'treatment’ should not just be for other people. Mentally ill people deserve therapy and help for themselves, they deserve to get better and feel loved and accepted. And yes, victims do not have to accept abuse simply because the perpetrators are mentally ill which is why I am no longer excusing Ezri’s actions.
Therefore, we will be presenting all of our evidence against the false accusations that Ezri has made on their blog (shown at the top). This evidence will be separated across multiple posts, and a masterpost will be made.

Bring Me a Dream (Pt. 3)
Tumblr media
Summary:You finally meet the ever-lovable Tyler over dinner and it goes quite... Well, it just certainly goes some sort of way. But nonetheless, you find yourself liking the new addition!
It's still Sunday! I made it! By two hours where I am but I made it! Ah, I'm sorry guys, I promise, I will do better <3 Also I edited this while I was rather tired so tell me if there are any errors my sleepy brain missed?

~~      Mark’s door shuts behind you as you stealthily enter his room. Smiling to yourself, you thank the heavens for Mark’s cleanliness habits- otherwise, this would be a much more bothersome endeavor. Mark is currently in his recording room- a new addition- and when you had woken up, you noticed that his room was empty and that this would be as good of a time as any to begin your mission. Which lead to where you are now, searching through the now raven haired man’s room for certain tell-tale signs.
There are a few, they’re tiny but they will give you a definite answer on whether or not your suspicions are correct. Which unfortunately, you think they are. Nonetheless, you want to be certain and searching for their presence seems to be the only way you can be. So, with your senses on high, you try to leave as little of a mark as possible- the less Mark knows about all of this, the safer he’ll be. After all, it’s not as if you are up against some measly pixie whose mischievous ways interfere with one’s dreaming, no, it appears to be something far darker that’s plaguing Mark’s mind; something that, while it may be well-known, is much harder to get rid of than a mere fae.
As you spend more and more time in his room, you become aware of this ever present of something… looming. It sends a shiver down your spine. Why must these things be so creepy? Even in such a light and lovely space, your Dreamer’s space, it almost feels as if it has become void of your work. While your work may be more psychological or spiritual, like anything in this world it leaves a trail. But, it’s cheery- not this borderline chilling aura you’ve been receiving. And out of the corner of your eye, you spot it. ‘It’ being the sliver of evidence you need to reassure you of your ideas of what’s haunting his mind- walking ever so slowly you reach the windowsill and sigh. One of those vile beasts really are here then? Marvelous. This is just… delightful.
Curious and hesitant fingers pinch and raise the lonely shard of glass up to your face for inspection, it has an orange tint to it. The longer you look at this damning evidence, you feel your blood boil and you glance around the room with furrowed brows almost expecting to see them. They want to mess with your Dreamer? Then they’ve got another thing coming.
Eyes narrow as you clench your fist around the object, you turn and begin a steadfast walk back to your room- though, you wind up bumping into the owner of the room. All anger diminishes and instead a nervous laugh fills the air, “Heh… Hey Mark.” Instead of evidence, you now search for a reasonable excuse for being in his room.
“Hey? What are you doing in my room..?” He asks, his expression shifting to one of confusion.
    Searching…
    Not quite there yet…
    ...Found it!
“I was searching for you, ya doof,” You say, shrugging simply. Good job! He seems to believe this and nods, his smile returning.
“We were working, though we’re just taking a break for a few,” Mark explains as he steps into his room and pulling his phone from the charger, “You sleep well?”
“I did, thank you!” Though, something struck you as odd, didn’t Matt and Ryan move out? You wrack your brain and can’t quite come up with an explanation, “And I’m sorry, but who exactly is ‘we’?”
His face seems to light up with excitement, “Oh right! So, my friend Tyler moved in with me and we’ve been working together ever since- he’s the best, you’ll love him! I’ve known him forever, he helps me with editing my videos and it’s just nice to have someone in the house again, you know?”
Subsequently, a soft smile spreads across your lips, Tyler is indeed someone you remember. A close friend of Mark’s since his Cincinnati days who has apparently moved in with him now, you feel as though you should know that but then again with them interfering lately, maybe it’s slipped through the cracks. That seems to only fuel your determination for eliminating this pest from Mark’s mind. Although, you push that thought to the back to stay in the joyful mood Mark knows you for, “I can imagine, Markimoo, so when can I meet the fellow then?”
“I was hoping over dinner?” He proposes with a black brow quirked up.
“Sure! What are we having-” You stop yourself, noticing his eyes begin to plead with yours as he wears a guilty smile. An amused chuckle leaves your lungs, “You’re hoping that I’ll cook, aren’t you?”
“You don’t have to! I thought it might be nice way to start out your stay here, y’know?”
“Is it that, or is it that you really just wanted to eat my food again?”
Mark tries not to smile but inevitably fails to and causes you to laugh, “It’s so good!” You shake your head with your own smile, “Give me five minutes and I’ll start cooking, sound good?”
     “Sounds great!”
~~
It’s no doubt that you have more magic than your previous visit. In fact, the only ability you lack may be floating amongst the celestial clouds and the only reason you can really think of why that may have been left out is quite a simple one: gravity. The one thing science manages to overcome in this situation- you’ve no idea why but in some way you do find it a tad funny. All the same, because of your heightened powers, you realize you can make practically anything taste decadent. Magic is lovely, isn’t it? You make a simple yet classic dinner for the three of you to enjoy, chicken alfredo, and set up the bowls as the boys work. Lips pursing in concentration as you cook, you place a pinch of, not only dream powder, but a quick protection powder that should help temporarily defend against the creatures of the night in addition to your own protection over him. Tonight, you decide, you’ll have to work on the slow elimination process.
Until then, however; you find a song makes it way into your mind and you can’t help but hum along. The beat slow and soothing; worries leave your mind and you enjoy this peace for how long it may be. Subconsciously, your body begins to move to the mental melody; hips sway ever so slightly, head bobbing in accordance, and every other step seems to match a beat. It’s a subtle dance; dancing is something you’ve always seemed to admire. Dreamers do it quite well, Dream Makers- more or less. You do it nicely, not the best, but most certainly not the worse. Breena, a stunning Dream Maker whose silver hair compliments her dark complexion very nicely, is the most amazing singer yet- and while she’s a dear friend of yours, you would say she has what Dreamers call ‘two-left feet’.  Sings like a bird but dances like a baby deer- it’s quite adorable in your opinion.
The scent of the dish begins to fill the air and intoxicate your tastebuds, you finish it up and equally divide the dish between Mark, Tyler, and yourself. You grab some cups and set them in front of the bowls- that would be something they’d have to do themselves- before getting a drink for yourself. Once complete, you stand back and nod to yourself, you’re rather with how your introductory dinner turned out. After one last look, you turn on your heels and head to stairs, “Dinner’s ready!”
You walk back to your seat at the table and start to hear footsteps thundering through the hall and down the stairs before seeing the all familiar black poof of hair make his way into the kitchen donning a broad grin. His shoulders slump as the scent greets him, “This is exactly what I missed!” Mark chimes and then adds, “Tyler! Get your ass down here already!”
Not being able to help it, a laugh slips through your lips and you shake your head. He is definitely something; a peculiar, lovable something at that. Mark soon slides into the chair beside you and gets his utensils ready to dig into the scrumptious meal in front him. Another set of footsteps make their way down into the room and you begin to feel butterflies as he enters, hoping the meeting goes nicely and that you don’t manage to make a fool of yourself. The corner of your lips turn up into a, albeit nervous, smile, “I’m guessing you’re Tyler?”
“Yeah,” The brunette nods, taking a seat across from you, “And you’re (Y/n)?”
“Indeed!” Eyes study him for a moment, his curly brown locks are primarily hidden beneath a gray beanie apart from a few of his curls in the front. He’s much taller than Mark though looks to be equally, or a bit more muscular than your Dreamer, he also has thin rimmed glasses perched on his nose. His brown eyes appear friendly yet chill, and in  addition to that lopsided smile of his lead you to believe he’s easy going. It also helps that as soon as you caught a glance of him, snapshots of memories play in your mind and although they may not be in depth, they do reassure you of what you believe him to be.
“It’s nice to finally meet you,” His aura slowly turning into a smug one as the hint of a teasing smirk plays on his lips, “especially since Mark wouldn’t shut up about you for the longest time.” You glance towards a now wide-eyed and high browed Mark whose expression causes you to attempt at keeping the laugh that’s threatening to bubble out down.
     “The Hell, man?!”
Tyler can’t quite help himself from laughing, his laughter rumbling out as he tries to keep it under control. After that, however; you fail at keeping yours under wraps.
You begin to like Tyler already.
~~
The dinner is full of laughter, primarily from Tyler and Mark going back and forth with embarrassing childhood stories of each other. Tyler being almost a teasing mother figure, decided you should know a bit more about Mark- especially since he knows that you two have become rather close. And according to Dreamers, mothers, or in this case mother-esque friends, think the best way to do this is to tell stories: particularly embarrassing ones. Yet, once Tyler finished his about Mark, your lovely Dreamer wanted to ‘retaliate’ by sharing one of Tyler’s tales… Minutes later, the meal has been finished for some time but the boys continue this battle of embarrassment.
Either way, your belly begins to hurt due to how hard you're laughing at these stories. Whether it be embarrassing family moments, rejections, or just an abundance of dorkiness (primarily on Mark's end), you find them hilarious! In this moment, they distract you from the negative and secretive reason of why you came back. Rather, it allows you to relish in the positivity of it all. Your heart is like a falling petal of a flower instead of a sinking anchor; peaceful and light.
Yet, you a question drags you back into reality, “What about you, chickadee?” His deep voice gets your attention and you look his way, in answering his inquiry, you merely shrug.
“I obviously didn't have as interesting of a life as you two,” Albeit, to some your answer may be the complete opposite of the truth. But, what are you to say? There's not too many opportunities to embarrass oneself when your life is basically only two things, creating and recharging. Between those times, while there is of course socializing, it's mainly showing each other's abilities and messing around.
“Everyone's life is interesting,” Tyler says plainly, “and we all have that one time we wish we could take back- or just hate thinking about,” he lightly chuckles. “So, what's yours?”
They both look at you with curious eyes; meanwhile, you rewind the tape in your mind and search for an example of this. And as soon as you feel that sinking stomach feeling and a heat rise on your cheeks, you know you just found what they're talking about. “Well, I suppose there is one occasion…”
You shook your head with a crooked smile, “My friends and I were hanging out one day, just… painting, per se. It was really nice!” A gentle laugh of yours escapes before you continue, “At least, it was up until I decided to start working on this big creation, adding probably a bit more… paint, than necessary. They said it wasn’t a good idea, in the back of my mind I think I knew that, but I didn’t really and soon enough, the canvas toppled from how heavily I layered the paint and kind of fell on me… I was every color of the rainbow that day.” In all reality, it was a creation contest and you attempted to make this ginormous rainbow dog- it was cute up until he decided to shake and for some reason; the rainbow slid off his fur and drenched you in the colorful paint like material. Your cheeks were feverishly red when that happened, both because of your blush and the excess red from the rainbow. Quite lovely, no?
Mark raises a brow, a playful smirk under his mustache, “That the worse you got? No bad crushes or weird camp stories?”
You blink and bite your lip, “Does it count if we were both very young? Like, children?”
    “I don’t see why not.”
Nodding you head, a bout of tiny laughs pour from your lips as a memory comes to mind, “Then, I do think I have worse.”
“Do tell,” Tyler’s voice rings out, brows furrowed in curiosity.
“When I was young, very young, there was a boy named Ezra,” A fond but sheepish smile spreads onto your expression, “I liked him, and in the little time we had to do whatever, we would always play! While we were playing, I decided to tell him I liked him- his response?” Chuckling, you look down and rub the back of your neck, “His response was to scream… and then proceed to panic before tossing a stuffed animal at me as a ‘distraction’ as he ran away. I believe that would be worse than the other story,” You finish unable to hold back your own laughter as you hear them begin to crack.
“Yeah, I would say that’s worse too,” The brunette agrees all while progressively laughing more and more, you think that while the story is far more simple, the pure imagery of a toddler doing such things to avoid ‘love’ may be what the funniest part about it is.
“Did you still hang out with him after?” Mark asks as he drowns in the hilarity.
“Oh goodness, no! He practically screamed every time he saw me after that so I eventually started to avoid him as well.” If you hadn’t, your hearing would most likely be shot by now. For such a tiny new soul, he had some pipes on him. Who knew there’s more drama at the child level of Dream Makers than the adults?
As the night goes on, you all share in stories of your lives, each one being interesting and funny in their own way. And despite some of your being complicated due to the whole Dream Maker part, you simplify or edit them to make them fit into what’s normal for the life of a Dreamer. Though, within a few hours, you can tell Mark and Tyler are starting to craze the one thing all Dreamers need: sleep. Which, for you, means that you’ll need to begin the spell once you're sure it is safe to do so.
     “What time is it?”
Tyler slides his phone from his pocket, “It is… just about 9:30.”
Mark groans his brows knit together in confusion and frustration, “How is it so late?”
“Because we’ve spent a bit of time reminiscing over the past,” You answer along with a giggle following after.
“I know… I should head up then. Tyler, you have any work to finish? I can stay up a little longer if you want help,” Mark offers, though due to his morning workout routine, he probably should be in bed by ten at the most.
His beanie covered head shakes as he takes a stand, “No, you’re fine, Mark. I need to wrap it up but other than that, I’m probably going to sleep too,” He shrugs and then looks towards you, “You heading up too?”
You ponder for a moment, “Maybe,” Lips purse as your gaze shifts towards the window in the dining room- the night tempting you. “I may sit outside for ten minutes or so.”
Tyler nods and reaches over to give your shoulder a pat, bringing your attention back to him, “Sounds like a plan,” his familiar crooked smile returning, “It was nice to meet you.”
A joyful ping resonates in your hearts causing you to return with a sincerely cheerful smile that Mark knows you to have, “A pleasure to meet you as well, Tyler.”
Your shared gaze lasts for a few more seconds before breaking, he heads up the stairs the echo of a yell filling the air as he leaves, “G’night!”
“Night!” You chime as your eyes shift to Mark, who appears to have calmed down from the laughing fits earlier, “You’re going up too, right?”
“Yup,” He stands and walks over to you, casually slinging an arm around you shoulder, “By the way, Tyler said him and our pal Ethan, who you’ll meet eventually, are going to hang out for the majority of tomorrow. I was wondering, would you want to have a mini adventure with your ol’ friend Mark while they’re gone?”
“If you’ve got no work to do, I’d love to,” You watch as his dark brown orbs light up, sending a joyous feeling throughout your being.
“Awesome! Then, I shall see you tomorrow, m’lady,” Mark bows and shoots you a cheeky wink, causing you to shake your head at his silliness as he starts his walk up the stairs, “Good night!”
“Sweet dreams!” If only, but nonetheless you say it with a hopeful heart. Once he’s out of sight, you sigh and your gaze goes to the Los Angeles skyline again. Tonight your work will begin to rid this place of that beast- that is, you realize, you clean up the dishes that are left behind…
Thanks for the help on that one, guys. Really appreciate it.

Upside Down Kingdom
Sermon Series Map
SERIES THEME:
This sermon series is about how following Jesus, mimicking His life, obeying His commands, being conformed to His image, and living out the principles He teaches, … is SOOO counter intuitive to our world’s culture, mores, and norms it really looks like Jesus’ ideas are totally UPSIDE DOWN! However, it only appears that way to us because we have been living in this Upside Down fallen world for so long that the principles of righteousness in God’s Kingdom (which are in fact “right-side-up”) confuse us. In this sermon series we will explore several of those Kingdom Principles that appear so Upside Down from our fallen perspective and we will see how following Jesus in these Kingdom Principles will help us to live right-side-up!
SERIES IMAGERY:
The Imagery: The graphics/imagery for this series is a reference to the popular Netflix Original TV Series: “Stranger Things” in which the regular lives/world of several families in the 1980’s were being invaded by a parallel world of darkness/rot/monsters/etc… In that show they called this other world the “Upside-Down.” The cultural reference is only meant to capitalize on the relevance of that show; it bears no impact on the theology of the series!
The Music: Worship Songs that highlight how God’s ways are different/other/greater than our ways etc… would be very thematically appropriate. For example:
“Greater” ~ Mercy Me
“Different” ~ Micah Tyler
“Center” ~ Charlie Hal
“Better is One Day” ~ Matt Redman
“Reckless Love” ~ Cory Asbury
“It is Well” ~ Todd Fields
“The Stand” ~ Hillsong United
etc…
  WEEKLY SERMON DETAILS:
Please recognize that this map includes FIVE sermon prompts! However it would work just as well as a shorter series if your preaching team would simply chose the appropriate prompts that speak most directly to the needs of  your church!
[1] Upside Down Kingdom: Humility vs. Pride
Critical Concept: In our upside-down fallen world, pride, arrogance, and self-promotion are lauded as virtues. However in God’s Kingdom HUMILITY is recognizing our proper position before our infinite loving GOD and considering other’s Greater than ourselves!
God says when you are humble, you are free from pride and arrogance. You know that in your flesh you are inadequate, yet you also know who you are in Christ.
Godly humility is being comfortable with who you are in the Lord and therefore putting others first.
The picture of humility in the Bible is one of a strong person who loves others, not someone who is a wimp.
Humility also is recognizing that you need God’s help, knowing you can’t truly succeed in your own strength.
Scripture:
Ephesians 4:2 “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
Romans 12:16 “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”
James 4:10 “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
And many more…
[2] Upside Down Kingdom: Dependence vs. Independence
Critical Concept: In our upside-down fallen world it is considered weak or shameful to depend on anyone or anything but yourself. However in God’s Kingdom we recognize that we have been made to fully depend on God our Heavenly Father!
Depending on God is basic to the Christian life.
God’s children should share that quality of depending on their loving Heavenly Father for everything they need.
The moment I tell myself, “I can handle this one myself, it’s small and it will be easy,” I run the risk of moving forward in the flesh rather than by dependence on the Holy Spirit!
“Jehovah-Jireh” is the KJV’s translation of YHWH-Yireh and means “The LORD Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). It is the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.
As leaders who want to reach our generation for Christ, we need to lead in a way that allows others to see our faith as we FOLLOW GOD in total dependence on Him.
Scripture:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Isaiah 40:29 “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Romans 12:4-5 “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Matthew 6:25-34
And Many More …
[3] Upside Down Kingdom: Others vs. Self
Critical Concept: In our upside-down fallen world the standard practice is to “lookout for number one.” However in God’s Kingdom we sacrificially love others in the same way we love ourselves!
Even simple acts of kindness are effective ways of loving others like Jesus.
The most loving thing we can do for others is love God more than we love them. For if we love God most, we will love others best.
There is so much pain and loneliness in the world, you can be pretty sure the person next to on the bus or the checker at the grocery store could use a kind word, a smile, or a helping hand. Get off your cell phone and talk to them. Get to know them. Ask them how their day is going… and mean it.
Scripture:
Romans 12:9-16 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another.”
John 15:12-13 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
1 John 4:7[-11] “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.”
Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
[4] Upside Down Kingdom: Purity vs. Pleasure
Critical Concept: In our upside-down fallen world the reckless pursuit of personal pleasure, satisfaction of our own appetites, and being guided by our feelings are considered irresistible forces of nature that should just be embraced. However in God’s Kingdom we are empowered to live lives of purity as we pursue an ever stronger relationship with Jesus Christ the source of purity!
Whilst purity is lost in sin it can be found again in Christ Jesus!
God gave man and woman the joy and pleasure of sexual relations within the bounds of marriage, and the Bible is clear about the importance of maintaining sexual purity within the boundaries of that union between man and wife.
“Purity is not an accomplishment, it is a relationship with the One who is pure.” ~ PURE HOPE Ministries
Scripture:
Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Psalm 119:9 “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”
1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”
Hebrews 13:4 “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
And Many More…
[5] Upside Down Kingdom: Investing in Eternity vs. Now
Critical Concept: In our upside-down fallen world everything is broken, decaying, and temporal. Therefore, many people live only for the here and now. However in God’s Kingdom we know that God intends for us to live on with Him for eternity, and that eternity starts NOW for those of us in Christ!
The Bible teaches that those who are true children of God enter our Father’s presence and eventually spend eternity in the New Heaven and New Earth. But those who refuse to believe and follow Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the lake of fire.
How you live your todays will impact yours/others’ tomorrows and maybe even their eternities!
Choosing to FOLLOW Jesus according to His Kingdom principles (instead of the upside down principles of this fallen world) is a great way to ensure your life will have Eternal impact!
Scripture:
1 John 5:11 “And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”
John 3:16 “”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
1 Corinthians 15:5 “O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?”
Matthew 6:19-2o ““Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures heaven, where moths & vermin do not destroy, & where thieves do not break in and steal.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

How you can Stay clear of Taking a trip Discomforts as well as aches.
You've no doubt come throughout lots of clothing and products in good condition that you no longer want if so. After living through heck and going out, he realized that life needs to be lived to the max and that hard work should be tempered with an excellent dose of fun and play as well as he's discovered his very own piece of heaven with Conquistadors, bench he co-owns with his two best friends Marco and Cade. Job order radar are full systems that document the job that should be done, when it should be done, who carried out the work, and also exactly what work was really done. Simply puts, the 40-hour, Monday-Friday, 9-5 job week wasn't created for worker productivity, but also for spiritual regard and also worker security. The majority of the job will need you to write short paragraphs or type dictated details. The fundamental formula for an SSI recipient going back to function is: the first $85.00 earned in a month is overlooked; after that, the SSI advantage is minimized by $1.00 for every $2.00 made. For http://matincosmetiques.info that aren't acquainted with the movie, The Body is the story of four childhood pals that take place a journey to locate a the body of a local young boy who has died. Managers and also business owners experiencing low employee performance as well as continuous strife amongst workers has to establish if they have a harmful workplace. Healthy fats help you remain energized as well as complete, and also fiber aids the body absorb the food gradually gradually. It could not be the problem I had however, your body may react in different ways to your way of life and cause a various problem compared to that of mine. Yet we need to keep in mind that although language is definitely essential to us, it could likewise be absolutely fatal since we utilize it mistakenly. To her credit history, Slaughter works hard to recognize the obstacles encounters the common American worker. These included student Megan Roberts in the River Ouse, shop employee Ben Chapman in the River Foss as well as soldier Tyler Pearson in the Ouse. Your body needs time to adapt to do the workouts you asking it to do. http://matincosmetiques.info/notre-experience-avec-titan-gel-pousse-la-queue-nous-avons-achete-et-teste/ exercise each body component might not seem like adequate to produce any type of outcomes, yet if you're a beginner, it will. The brevity of the message possibly raised the time I have invested believing Visualize you can exchange your body for a whole brand-new one, positioning all your memories and also built up experience into a fresh brand-new body - one you can choose to far better match your photo of what you want to be - as well as continue to live. When you carry out a brand-new squat workout your body will certainly experience a new stimulus that stresses your muscular tissues as well as, ultimately, results in muscular tissue discomfort. Likewise, due to the fact that we have actually picked the body as the attention training object (as compared to something like a rule, the breath or a visualisation). I ought to possibly claim that the Huffington Message newsroom, in spite of the quiet earphones lots of people utilize, is actually an instance of the type of open office strategy that could work. But around the very same time, a new middle monitoring layer was emerging in the workforce. In the unrelenting completely dry warmth of the Texas summertime, a body left to the elements will mummify as opposed to disintegrate completely. The fact that a lot of women are drawing double shifts of unpaid and also paid labor hurts for the whole economic climate: It suggests women choose to function less hrs, take less demanding works or leave the workforce totally-- which dings our economic development and also productivity and sucks talent and also development out of the system. It is tough to determine precisely just what is down to union subscription and also just what is attributable to factors such as age and also experience, but government numbers reveal that union members get paid a substantial 15.6% greater than non-unionised employees. Showering daily with an antibacterial soap will certainly reduce body smell by regulating microbial growth under your arms. The specific, in our culture, benefits revenue; but the social objective of his work lies in the intake of what he creates. To puts it simply, you need to have at the very least 8 to 12 hours off from eating prior to your body gets in the fasted, fat-burning state. When I work out, I wish to consider my muscular tissues obtaining stronger, about my blood streaming, concerning my adaptability as well as my breath. Establish your feet hip-width apart, drop your body down right into a squat position as if you were being in a chair and also tip your appropriate foot sideways according to your various other foot. There were people that gained, and also sometimes, technological developments consisting of farming equipment, ultimately created more jobs then they ruined. There are a number of wonderful sites as well as home typing networks that filter work type house keying jobs to make sure that you can discover the ones that benefit you most. Body of Evidence appears less most likely to own customers away, at the very least not visitors content with whodunit criminal offense procedurals. Recognizing why we work the way we do is the primary step to acknowledging that workplace modification is not just possible, but required. We see financial growth in the United States. The Corporations are making large profits yet revenues for the majority still remain static and works are challenging to find by. Distinguished financial experts have actually made fundamental observations that when the development price is below the price of return (minus taxes and intake), one can not protect against Funding from confiscating a greater share of the nationwide income.

How Would You Feel
Volume: 1.
Number of parts: 21 / ?.
Pairings: Human!Nine x Rose.
Synopsis: "Maxence wondered if Tenny’s instructions had been followed. For the visits, it seemed to be good. Clara Oswald had been allowed to see Rose and to stay with her for a while. And Maxence really hoped that they had given her the rest of the good food. At least, she had biscuits if they didn’t. Well, Maxence hadn’t been awake all that time but Tenny had told him everything. Maxence had wanted to call but he was too tired to do so."
“The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.” - Mick Jagger.
CHAPTER 21: PRISONER
Donna remained silent for a long moment, which was pretty unusual of her, but she understood that Maxence wasn’t feeling good enough to hear her insisting on him talking to someone or to hear her telling him how her day went. Even if he usually liked her telling him how the day went at school. Maybe he should go with her one day and spend some hours with those little kids. Maybe it would help him get better. But not now. He didn’t feel like this. Being there, in Donna’s arms, was enough for now. He was even a bit better now. After a long moment, he finally talked again. Tenny wasn’t back yet. “The bath might be a good idea.” Donna jumped a bit. She had thought that he was asleep once again, but he wasn’t obviously. “Yeah?” “And you could shave me.” “I’d love that.” She smiled softly and got up slowly. She walked to the bathroom and started filling the tub with water – their flat had the advantage of having both a shower and a tub. She got clean pyjamas and socks ready. Tenny came back in the meanwhile. Maxence had sat up on the edge of the bed. He walked to the bathroom and locked himself in it with Donna. He undressed himself and slipped into the warm water. Donna came in the water with him. They washed each other’s body slowly, enjoying that moment. And since Maxence seemed to really relax in the bath and feel much better, they decided to have a quickie while Tenny was taking care of the dinner according to the noises they could hear and the good scents they could smell.
×
Rose and Clara remained silent for a few minutes, simply cuddling with one another. Rose studied her best friend with soft eyes and lovingly stroked her face. She wanted to carve every detail of her best friend’s face in her memory. Just in case they wouldn’t allow her to come back, just in case Rose had to stay longer than expected in that hell. “I love you, Clara. Like a sister. And I never wanna lose you,” she murmured, nuzzling her gently. “I love you the same way, Rose. And I’m very blessed to have you in my life. I hope to never lose you ever again like this.” Rose’s hand moved up and down her back, trying to help Clara relax in the tense environment. The brunette relaxed at her friend’s touch and smiled softly. She cuddled into the blonde, not realizing how much she had missed her touch during those five years. “Do you think your therapist will be okay? He didn’t seem very well when I’ve heard him through the phone.” “Of course. He’s got a great family to support him. He’s got great friends to help him get better. He’s in good hands. He’ll be well taken care of and he will be back here in a few days to continue his work with me. He promised me a lot of things. And he’s gonna keep those promises.” Rose knew that Maxence would be okay. It would just take some time. Rose felt relaxed. She felt content. She missed feeling like this. She hadn’t felt like that since her mother had visited her a few days ago. “I’m glad to see you’re relaxed, Rose.” “You are very relaxed too. But you can’t be falling asleep here, Clare bear.” Clare bear was an old nickname Rose had found for Clara when they were in elementary school. She hadn’t used it in a long time, and it made Clara smile to hear it again. Rose had changed, but there were things that still remained the same. Thankfully. The two women remained cuddled on the bed, occasionally talking in soft voices. Rose had moved up against the wall so she wasn’t hunching over so much, but Clara was helping her relax and she was glad to have her there. She was very thankful for her. Clara never seemed to ever leave her side whatever happened in their lives. She seemed to never want to do so. Clara loved Rose like the sister she never had. She could never leave her. She had always been there for her. They had made promises to each other throughout the years of their friendship and none of them intended on breaking them. “What are you thinking about, Rose?” Clara asked quietly. She was the first to break the quietness of the room they were both enjoying. Usually, Rose hated the silence. Especially now that she had been stuck in that place for so long for no one to talk to. But being there with her best friend was making everything different. The silence felt good for once. So when Clara talked, Rose flinched because she hadn’t expected it. “Nothing in particular. I’m just thinking about how much I’m enjoying this time with you and how much I’ve missed holding my best friend. And about how much I miss being outside of this place. And how much I miss the outdoors. But those are just little side thoughts. I’m mostly thinking about you and my mum and Mr. Spitz.” Rose and Clara talked a little more before the blonde took a quick shower and ate a biscuit. Then, she cuddled with Clara again on the bed. She was happy to have some company there with her to take away her loneliness for the evening. She hated being alone. She hated feeling lonely. “Thank you. For coming to see me.” “No need to thank me. I’ve wanted to see you for years.” Rose pulled the blanket around them as they were back in their original cuddling position; Rose holding Clara in her lap and Clara with her arms tightly around Rose’s thin body. They didn’t feel like moving or talking more. Just being together was enough for the both of them. Sometimes, they would talk about an old memory and occasionally laugh. Sometimes, they would just sit there and admire each other’s beauty, though Rose didn’t think she was beautiful at all anymore. She was thin and malnourished. She was sick, in a way. The idea of Clara having to leave soon enough was keeping a hint of sadness into her heart, but she didn’t say a thing about it so she wouldn’t spoil their moment. She just wanted to have someone there and she just wanted to have someone to talk to and keep her company. Someone to help take her mind off of things. Rose wished that Clara could stay the night with her, but that couldn’t happen unfortunately. That was forbidden by the rules. It was the same in every psychiatric hospital most likely. Thankfully, she would have Liv to keep an eye on her on the next day so it wouldn’t be so bad. She would get to be with her new friend for a bit. She would have to warn her about Nash being on her tail. She would try and keep her safe the best she could. Despite the situation she was in. Rose smiled at an image that suddenly appeared in her mind during another round of silence between herself and the brunette in her lap. Clara raised an eyebrow. “Why are you smiling?” “Because of something that just came in my mind,” explained Rose. “An image. Doctor Spitz seems to be doing much better now. He’s with his girlfriend and he’s getting ready for bed. The Wolf can check in on people I like. I never knew this until now. The Wolf never showed me that it could do that. It sensed our worry for him, the Wolf did.” “That’s super cool,” exclaimed Clara, grinning. “I’m glad to hear that he’s okay. That is a cool superpower!”
×
Maxence and Donna remained in the bath for a long moment, occasionally adding hot water so they wouldn’t get cold. Donna was so glad to feel her Maxence finally fully relaxed and feeling much better. He wasn’t even trembling anymore. His fever was down, and he had told her that his headache and nausea were gone. She was suspecting a lie for the headache, but she didn’t say a thing and just watched him. He was so handsome, laying there, in the tub, his eyes slightly shut and his arms around her as she was pressed against his chest. She was tracing the word on his bicep, wondering what a Dalek could possibly be, and when he shivered, she decided that it was time for them to get out of the bath before he got another cold. They both dried themselves off and pulled on their pyjamas and socks. She cleaned his glasses and put them back on his nose. He smiled softly at her and sat down on the toilet. A few minutes later, she was slowly and methodically shaving his almost full beard, making her best not to cut him. And when she was done, when he was perfectly shaved, she put some after shave on him and they both walked out of the bathroom. They went to the kitchen. Tenny smiled at them. “Looks like my brother is feeling much better!” “Indeed. I should never underestimate the power of a good hot bath.” And of the wonderful hands of his lovely girlfriend. But that wasn’t something he was gonna say out loud or Donna would always boast around about it and remind him of it whenever she would get something from him. “The dinner’s ready. If you’re hungry, you just have to sit down.” The table was already laid and the perfumed steam escaping from the platters made Maxence’s stomach growled. Of course, he was hungry. He always was. He sat down at the table with his girlfriend and his brother and the three of them shared the meal before they all cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie. Tenny was the first to go to sleep before the movie was even done. He was tired and had to get up early the next morning since he was working. He kissed them both goodnight before going into the guest bedroom. He was thankful of Donna for insisting for him to stay. He didn’t know if he would have handled the solitude of his flat after he had seen the mental hospital, after he had met and talked to Rose Tyler. The girl – well, her condition in that place – had shaken him to say the least and he was glad that he could have stayed around his family to spend the night. It was reassuring him. And on the next morning, he would leave a note for Maxence to keep an eye on his wound and to call him if anything. Maxence started dozing off before the end of the movie. He was totally relaxed and Donna stroking his back was soothing him. Plus, and he was too tired to realise how weird it was, his mind was filled with images of Rose Tyler in her room with a brunette. A Rose Tyler who seemed happy and relaxed with a friend of hers breaking her silence and solitude. He smiled to himself at the scene. It was comforting to know that his patient was doing better thanks to his promises and acts. Well, the brunette’s visit was Tenny’s doing and promise but still. It was good to see her so fine after what she had been through. Donna forced him to go to bed and followed him a few minutes later. They watched the end of the movie together and she turned everything off for them to sleep. But there was one more question she wanted to ask. “What are you gonna do tomorrow?” “I don’t know yet,” he replied sleepily. “Haven’t thought about.” “I might have an idea for you.” She murmured something into his ear. Something that made him smile. Of course it was a great idea. So great that it kept his mind busy, and kept his monsters away when he finally gave in to the sleep. Maxence wondered if Tenny's instructions had been followed. Maxence had wanted to call but he was too tired to do so. He didn’t know that Tenny had called before he went to bed to make sure they would remember the instructions he had given. They had listened to him obviously, but he had noticed that the nurse on the desk seemed preoccupied. And Tenny surely didn’t know that their boss, Nash, was missing. They hadn’t seen her for hours. Maxence didn’t know it either and his mind was so peaceful it was feeling strange but at least, he could sleep and his nightmares weren’t disturbing him at the moment. Good. He didn’t feel like waking up yelling in the middle of the night, nor have to explain Donna that his shadow was talking to him and telling him such terrible things. She wouldn’t believe it and worse, she might send it to another therapist to talk about it. But no one could understand it. No one but Rose. So he slept deeply, peacefully, and dreamed about how the next day would be. A good one. He would have a lot of things to do but that didn’t bother him. As long as it kept his mind busy, it didn’t matter. And it would make some people happy so he couldn’t refuse the mission he was given. He would fulfil it, and he would do it very well.
×
Alex knew exactly why Nash was missing. She and Nash had had a little talk after Maxence spread a rumour about her and Nash was currently locked away in the yellow room, tied up tight to the table. She wouldn’t go anywhere for a while to say the least. Alex had even electrocuted her a few times just for the hell of it. She had ruined Nash’s office and even found something really interesting. Files about Maxence Spitz. He had been there before. He had stayed there as a patient, and he was linked to Rose Tyler in a very big way. Alex had hidden the files though. She would keep the secret for herself for now. She had hidden them in her car, and no one would be finding them unless she decided to let them know about it. Maybe she would let Liv see them since she was so close to Maxence and Rose. She would have a better understanding of the situation if she knew about it all. She had to let her see them before she was fired. Alex knew she would be sacked for sure after the argument she had with Nash and the attack on her. But she didn’t care. She would enjoy messing with Nash while she could because she was locked in the yellow room. And Alex had the key. The only key to that room. Plus, Nash was gagged. No one would be hearing a peep out of her for a while.
×
Nash hadn’t seen it coming. Not at all. She had gone straight to Alex after Maxence Spitz had told her that she was saying things about her. They had argued and Alex had finally punched her in the face. She hadn’t said anything and was tired of those accusations. But Nash hadn’t seen it coming and when she had woken up, she was feeling too much in a haze and assumed that she had been drugged. But that was not the worst. When she had been able to focus again, she had realised that she was in the yellow room. The same yellow room she had locked Maxence in a few days earlier. She was firmly tied and gagged, meaning she couldn’t run away and she couldn’t scream. Meaning she was stuck there for as long as Alex would want to keep her here. Oh, she had tried to run away and to escape and to scream when Alex had started electrocuting her. It freaking hurt! She had glared and threatened her and struggled against the restraints but there was nothing to do and when Alex had told her that she had ruined her and found some interesting things, Nash had frozen. Her biggest secrets were hidden there. The biggest of the biggest was Maxence’s records and what had been done to him all along his stay into that mental hospital. But no one knew except her and one or two nurses that were there when he had been locked in his cell. She had told no one and didn’t want anyone to know anyway but if Alex knew… That secret must not be repeated, and certainly not to Maxence Spitz. If he knew about what had happened to him, they were all screwed up. And that mustn’t happen. So Nash had to find a way out of there. She had to reduce Alex to silence. Nash had taken advantage of the few moments Alex was gone to keep struggling against her restraints and trying to get away from her before she started electrocuting her again. The woman had gone mad in a minute, and she couldn’t understand how that could have happened. Alex should be the one tied down there, not Nash. She was everyone’s superior there and everyone feared and obeyed her. That’s how it had been for years, and suddenly, Alex had gone bonkers and was locking her in her own hospital, in her own room of torture. That was definitely not how it was supposed to work. The restraints created cuts in her skin, making her bleed while she was struggling and the gag was half suffocating her. She now understood what her patients had felt every time she had locked them down here, why they looked so terrified whenever the yellow room was evoked. It was because how tiny and powerless they were when they were tied down to that cold and uncomfortable table, because of the unbearable pain they were feeling when she switched the electricity on, when the electrical shocks ran through their body shaking them with uncontrollable spams and creating bad damages in their brain. And the pain and trembling never really stopped even hours after it was done, as if the body was full of static electricity that was repeating the process of the electrocution. Terrifying and terribly efficient to erase someone’s memory too. It didn’t work on Rose Tyler, but it worked pretty well on Maxence Spitz, and Nash was well placed to know it since she had given him that treatment just a few days ago. And now there she was. She first froze when she heard the door being unlocked and struggled harder when she saw Alex locking it behind her, when she saw the smirk. That bitch was gonna pay for it the hard way.
×
Alex was tired of the accusations said against her. She might be mean to Rose, but she didn’t spread rumours. She wasn’t like that. Not at all. She didn’t think it was cool. To get rid of Nash, Alex had taken her to the only room she thought of. The yellow room. She had watched Nash wake up. She had watched as she realized she was in the yellow room. The look on her face was something Alex would never forget. It made her laugh actually. She now was in control and she wouldn’t let it go so easily. She made sure Nash was tied down real tight. She wouldn’t be moving at all for a long moment. She couldn’t run and couldn’t scream. Meaning Alex could do whatever she wanted to do to her, and she had already started her fun. She was gonna keep Nash there for a bit. She made it did hurt for Nash to understand what her patients were going through, but that wouldn’t be the last time Nash would be electrocuted. Not in Alex’s agenda. She wasn’t afraid of Nash’s threats. She couldn’t do anything while she was tied down and more vulnerable than ever. Alex could kill her if she wanted. She remembered the look on her face when she said she had gone in her office and destroyed it, when she admitted that she had found her biggest secret. She hadn’t told her what she had found of course. That would have been stupid of her. It wouldn’t be easy for Nash to find her way out of there. Alex was gonna repeat her little secret before she could get out of here. They would be screwed in no time. Alex decided to go check in on Nash. So, she unlocked the door to the yellow room, making sure no one was around. She locked the door behind her after she got in and smirked at Nash. Alex knew how electrocuting someone like that could make them go mad. But hey, Nash deserved it. She had electrocuted a lot of patients down there and Alex was gonna make sure that Nash got to experience that real good. She would make sure that Nash knew what it felt like. Alex smirked more as she saw Nash froze and put the key in her pocket once she was sure that the door was locked. She checked her restraints briefly, pressing down roughly on what cuts she could see. “Enjoying your stay down here? Now you know what your patients feel like when you would tie them down, how powerless they feel. The pain they go through. Or maybe you don’t know. Maybe you need another round. Maybe more intense than the first?” The first round had been pretty intense enough. Alex made sure the gag was still secure in Nash’s mouth and tightened the restraints just a little more. Not enough to cut off circulation, of course. She was just having too much fun right now, torturing that bitch of a boss. No, Nash didn't enjoy her stay there. She didn’t enjoy it at all and that was why she was fighting so hard to get out of the restraints. She indeed knew what her patients felt like now and she didn’t understand why it bothered Alex so much. Sure, she hadn’t done that to anyone before. Nash was her first try and it was surprising to see how well she was doing with the stuff. Usually, only the three or four people who were working there for over ten years knew how to work in that room. And only they knew that the room needed to be cleaned after every use because the patients always ended up doing their business on themselves when the muscles relaxed. Oh, how many times they had had to clean it after Maxence Spitz’s therapy. He was probably the person who had spent the most time here. More time there than in his actual cell. However, no one knew, and she hoped that no one would ever know. If Alex had found about that secret, it was better if she didn’t tell anyone. She didn’t know what Maxence Spitz was capable of. She had absolutely no idea of how much powerful he was. It wasn’t even mentioned into the record because no one could tell what that power was, nor measure it. He ignored it himself, but Nash had – voluntarily – woken up the Wolf when she had last taken him down there. She had done it on purpose though, and he would definitely need her help to turn it off again if it became uncontrollable. And she would not be able to help him if she was stuck there and turned into a vegetable. That would be real disaster to leave him without the control she could have on him. Nash’s eyes grew big when she realised what she was about to suffer from, causing the other women to chuckle. Alex didn’t seem like she was gonna stop in any way. When had she become so frightening and evil? Alex was half and half on violence. There were times when she totally thought violence was the only answer. There were other times where she thought violence wasn’t the answer at all. With these patients, violence wasn’t the answer. But Nash used that as an answer anyway. So Alex thought it was totally reasonable to use violence as a payback to Nash to make her experience what hell those people went through. She would clean the room when she was done. She would have to clean up the blood and stuff anyway. She was still deciding whether or not to turn Nash into a vegetable. She turned on the machine. “I bet you’ll never use that room again. Will you, Nash?” Alex smirked and turned it up a couple notches. Nash would indeed never see the room with the same eyes anymore, but she didn’t know if she wouldn’t use it anymore. Not for a while though. She would wait a long moment before using it again. Well, if she managed to get out of there alive and almost unharmed. There was no way she could get out of there unharmed. She was aware of it. Just by looking into Alex’s mad eyes, she knew she wasn’t gonna get out of there alive. If she did manage to get out of there at all. Which seemed highly compromised for now. She might have had a chance when the restraints weren’t so tight. But now she had no chance to if no one helped her out. The restraints were so tight now she could barely breathe. But Alex didn’t care at all. She was too busy enjoying her revenge. A revenge Nash didn’t understand since she had almost always been good to Alex. She had trained her to the job and showed her how to be firm with the patients. She had taught her almost everything and now she was getting all that knowledge against her? Unbelievable. And for what? Because they had argued about what Maxence Spitz had said? Oh, Nash hated Maxence Spitz. She always had, but she loved the power sleeping in his head. The same power was sleeping in Rose’s head but she was tougher and unable to manipulate as easily so Nash couldn’t lay any hand on the power she had. It was easier to work on Maxence, and when he had run away from there with no memories at all from ever being in that hospital she had thought that she had lost him forever. But he had come back, as if something was attracting him there like a magnet. Maybe his Wolf, looking for its other half that was in Rose’s mind. He had never told her even when she had taken him down in that yellow room she was currently in. Nash swallowed as she heard the notches being turned. Soon enough the electricity would run through her body again and she would be left unable to think and unable to move. She hated that, but there was nothing she could do right now against it. Maybe Alex would make a deal with Nash because of how good she had been to her in the past. There maybe was a deal she would accept. If Nash didn’t say anything about that. Alex could choose not say anything about the secrets she had found in Nash’s office, but she wasn’t sure yet if she wanted to do that. Alex turned the final notch for the electricity to run through Nash. Nash couldn’t do anything about what was about to happen. She had to take it and deal with it. Nash froze when she heard the last notch being turned and the electricity ran through her head before it continued its trail to the rest of her body. While facing such a pain, her body had the reaction to arch and struggle. The sudden shock caused her to try and yell but the gag was still tight in her mouth. It was even getting suffocating. She didn’t feel the restraints cutting her skin deeper while her body was convulsing. She never had tied a patient so hard on a table, never gagged them either. She loved watching their bodies struggling and convulsing like insects, and she loved their screams. Oh, Maxence had been a real screamer when he was there. She could still hear his screams, his cries, his supplications for her to stop. There also was that annoying arrogance he had had for months before she finally broke him down. And now she understood what he had felt. She couldn’t let Alex do that to her. Nash wasn’t as tough nor as young as Maxence so her heart might be the first one to give in if too much electricity was sent through her body. It would be a good way to go. Dying from a heart attack instead of suffering in the hands of someone she had once considered as a friend. But she couldn’t do that. Not with Maxence’s Wolf being awake. He needed her even if he didn’t know it yet. So she had to stay strong and pretend that she didn’t care about what was happening. She glared at Alex when she was able to do so though. Her body was still agitated with little spams and she knew it wouldn’t get any better in the next hours but she knew that Alex was reasonable enough not to torture her for hours. She would maybe like to play with her, and she knew that if she disappeared for too long, questions would be asked. So, to keep on with her evil plan – whatever it was since Nash had no idea of what it was – she would have to take some break. To be there from time to time and not all the time. And in the time she wouldn’t be there, Nash would be able to think about a solution. She hoped. Alex was watching as Nash arched and struggled while the electricity ran through her. The gag was too tight in her mouth for her to try and yell. Which was a shame. Alex wondered what her screams of pain would sound like. She noticed the restraints cut deeper into her skin while she convulsed. She loved watching Nash struggle like an insect. Even if she couldn’t scream. She wondered if Nash could still hear patients’ screams in her mind. She wouldn’t let Nash die. Not yet. She flipped the final switch backwards so the electricity would stop flowing through Nash “You’re wondering why I’m doing that to you. Even if we are friends, I do have a reason. My sister was put in here for a mental disease she had. She was slowly getting uncontrollable. But we thought that with some help she’d be able to get back on track. But instead you electrocuted her to death. You killed my sister. Clarice Wilson. She was just a teenager and you ripped her life from her. You made her scream. This is my revenge to you. She was so young.” Tears were in Alex’s eyes as she spoke about her dead sister. Alex and Clarice had been so close. They had been inseparable. And Nash had taken that away from her. It had been hard for Alex to act like she was friends with someone who had killed her sister. “And you threw her out like garbage,” Alex growled. She glared back at her. Alex would give Nash a break when she wanted to. She would clean the room eventually. She loosened the restraints a little so Nash could squirm more from the electrocution. Nash was almost relieved when the electricity stopped running through her but her body kept convulsing because of the shock. It was terrible not to have any control on what was going on when she was so used to being the big boss, to control everything. She hated it being so powerless, so weak and vulnerable and she felt humiliated right now. But Alex told her her reasons and Nash didn’t understand it all. The name Clarice Wilson didn’t mean anything to her when it should have obviously. So many patients had been there before and she couldn’t remember them all. Not all of them had died from that treatment. Many had survived. But many had died too and she couldn’t remember the names and faces of the fallen. Maybe if she had had the files under the eyes. But right now, the name seemed unknown to her. Or was it the electrical shock? She was feeling a bit lightheaded to say the least and she didn’t have the strength to struggle anymore for now. Her eyes slowly closed themselves as Alex’s words kept tormenting her painful mind. Who was Clarice Wilson? What had been done to her? Was Nash really responsible? She didn’t know. She really didn’t know, and she really needed to sleep now. Her eyes closed themselves completely, and everything became black. Alex smirked when Nash fainted. In her opinion, she deserved to feel humiliated after all she had done to so many patients there, and what she had done to her sister Clarice. Alex would give her the deep details. She would read her the files. Alex had her reasons. She would make sure Nash understood them clear as day later on. When she would have a bit of a clearer mind. The name Clarice Wilson should have a meaning to her. It should mean something to her because Clarice Wilson had been a patient of Nash’s. Alex remembered it clearly. She would get the file and show it to Nash. Later though. Nash was responsible for Clarice’s death. She was the one who had done it to her. She had electrocuted her to death. Alex shut off the machine and kept the restraints how they were. She would clean the room later. She loosened the gag a little in Nash’s mouth, but kept it tight enough for her not to make a noise before she left the room quietly. She locked the door behind her good. She would give her a few hours before she would possibly let her go. On a couple conditions, of course.

In the next chapter:
Liv got a call from Tegan Smith while she was getting ready. He introduced himself as Rose’s doctor – he had been personally designated by Rose’s therapist – and told her what she had to know about Rose’s new diet and new pills. Liv couldn’t help but smile when she thought that instead of resting, Maxence Spitz had chosen to call a doctor and make sure that Rose was alright on his and her day off. So, Liv was in a good mood that morning.
On her way to the hospital, she stopped on the small shop that Tenny had told her about and ordered Rose’s breakfast as well as hers. She arrived to the hospital pretty early and put her belongings into her locker, changing into his nurse’s outfit and checking if her talkie-walkie was working well. She walked to the desk to start her service and she was told that Rose might still be sleeping since she had had visits all day yesterday, since her friend had left very late, and she was given the pills doctor Smith had talked about on the phone. The atmosphere was strange around her. Too light, too relaxed to be real. She walked to Rose’s room, confused, and knocked slowly on the door. She opened it very quietly, just in case Rose would still be sleeping. She didn’t want to wake her up.

EPISODE 16 (FINALE): THE COURAGE REQUIRED TO ANNIHILATE - BRETT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well tribal was actually fairly easy for once. I'm glad we are all on the same page for once instead of having to say one thing for one group and another name for a different group. It's tiring keeping up with who is on which side at times. I'm so happy to make f5!!! I am happy to be with my top picks too!!! I feel like unless Luke wins immunity it's gonna be an easy tribal. Let's hope so at least!!!! It's has been hard to know who to trust and I feel if we can just make one more then we'll be ok. I know that it will be hard to choose between Ian and Dom but I think we have to see who will be best for future game!!! I love them both so it's hard for me!! I'm happy with any of the others left so I'm super happy!!! Now to see who wins immunity and figure out how to get to f4!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I get back from exile and I find out that Jev was voted out unanimously and I'm....very confused. I thought that they were probably going to vote out Ian but according to Dom, Brett said that it was easier to manage with just Matterhorn in the game because we were a duo. I need to try so hard to win immunity otherwise I could be leaving and I need to make it to the end. I've played pretty well and I think I could have a good shot but Brett needs to leave. I need to be at the FTC with Ian/Ashley because they're boring and haven't done anything anfkjsnfjkn. It would be nice to take Dom to the end but he's actually played the game too so like..it's difficult so everything lies on me winning immunity this round.
i feel like i completely messed up the immunity challenge all because i could see how many plus symbols there were and now i'm literally so upset because i don't want to leave and i feel like i could be if i don't win immunity. if i don't win i'm going to work with ian and dom to see if we can vote out either brett or ashley. it's important that brett or ashley don't win immunity because brett would just play his idol on the other one. if that happens, i'd have to work on getting ian or even dom out. i just don't want to leave.
Tumblr media
I don't trust anyone left in this game. They can all jump of a cliff because they've all backstabbed me I don't even care if I go 5th.
That's what I thought until I won immunity asdfghjk. I really am blessed at F5 immunity challenges huh? Hahahahaha take that you little snitches!!
Now Dom and Luke are approaching me, wanting me to make a move with them against Brett and here I am just like:
Tumblr media
Brett seems to want Luke gone, because duh he's his biggest threat to win. Brett has an idol and who in their right mind won't play their idol at Final 5 on themeselves.
Dom is trying to get me to jump ships and turn the tables on Brett. He claims he can get Brett to play the idol on him (Dom) and then me, Dom and Luke all vote for Brett.
Tumblr media
Dude are you high? HOW WILL BRETT NOT PLAY HIS IDOL ON HIMSELF?!?! This ain't my first rodeo buddy, this kind of f5 scenario is nothing new to me. I win immunity in F5 and the person who is most likely to win the whole things happens to have an idol. (Shout out to JENN FROM)
It doesn't take a simpleton to know that no matter what Brett will play his idol ON HIMSELF and no else.
Now Luke seems to be the more logical one. He wants to save himself because he knows he's going so he wants me and Dom to make a move with him against Brett. But with Brett's idol, he's basically safe, so that leaves Ashley who's Brett's most loyal ally probably.
I don't really care, I know I'm safe and these bitches will have the whole day getting paranoid if I'm with them or not. Honestly this is just too similar to the Bora Bora F5. On one side you have Brett and Ashley (Basically Jenn and Nicole) and on the other is Luke and Dom (Kenneth and Renee)
Last time I stuck with my original allies. I stuck with them because like I still trusted them after they did me dirty and I could never hate Jenn and Nicole <3. BUT for this one, I don't care for Brett and Ashley. They turned their backs on me and I probably might just do the same.
Getting rid of Ashley might be a good idea because for these reasons.
1. Gets rid of Brett's loyal ally thus he MUST turn to me.
2. Luke stays in the game and increases the odds of someone beating Brett in the final immunity.
3. I secure Dom or Luke and I could make a deal with them to NOT write my name in f4. BUT I STILL DON'T TRUST THEM!!
I don't know what to do and I don't trust anyone. I'm going to check on Brett soon and see what he gonna do about his idol. Well obviously he gonna play it on himself because he ain't an idiot. Geez, Tyler you just had to provoke Brett in your final words...
Oh well either way, I'll be betraying someone so whatever. They did it to me first, so I'll just do it to them <3
Tumblr media
It's such a crucial time in the game!!! I'm hoping to get f4!!! So scary but I'm glad I made it this far and I think everyone left Is deserving. I would love to go all the way to f3 but tribal makes me super nervous even when I am confident about votes like I have been!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have immunity so I'm supposed to sit back and watch these chickens run around with their heads chopped off. I'm supposed to enjoy my weekend before another week of reporting, paper works and stinking PE dance routine.
If that's what I'm supposed to do then WHY AM I SO FUCKING STRESSED!!
First it was Luke and Dom wanting to make a move against Brett. Now Luke tells me Ashley wants to make a move to.
Now they're trying to get Brett to misplay his idol and I'm like WTF?! If I were Brett I'd play the idol on my self. The plan is for Ashley to convince Brett to play his idol on Dom and then pull a fast one and send his ass out.
Honestly this plan is crazy, but why do I believe that it might work?!?! I probably lost my sanity after I went crazy when Tyler left.
This is just like firing a gun in a dark room. I'm glad I won immunity because these people are becoming a mess like me <3
Tumblr media
EPISODE LOST COUNT
Jev is gone. Luke is back. I'm thinking it's going to be the same exact vote as last time if Luke doesn't win immunity. If Luke had won immunity, it wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world. Luke staying around would mean that a target as big as myself was in the final 4 with me. However, Ian won instead and things seemed fine, but Ian wanted to target Dom instead of Luke. And Luke wanted to target Dom as well. I told Luke straight on that I had no interest in voting anyone but him off.
Luke is one of the classiest players I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. He doesn't take things personally. He is reasonable, calm, and secure as a person. For my money, Luke is the player of the season. And for all these reasons, he has to go.
But because Luke is Luke, he didn't go down without a fight. And I wouldn't have had that any other way. Luke put out feelers to Dom to play dead and get me to play my idol on him while they all blindsided me. Cute, right? Now--this was never going to work because I would have been fine with Dom leaving. I found that idol by myself on Day 3 and over a month later, I had no intention of playing that idol on anyone but myself. Ashley Sarah, however, the angelic creature that she is, filled me in on the plan and we got to have a lot of fun with the dramatics. She played things up to Luke while I was extra with Dom and Ian. In the end, all 3 of those goobers put their votes on me and I was able to successfully idol Luke out of the game.
Before I sign off, I want to acknowledge the original members of the Matterhorn Tribe now that they are extinct. Every time I put a pen to parchment and wrote down RENEE, ZACK, ABEL, JEVVON, and LUKE--each was bringing the people to justice who cast a vote against Keegan in the second round of this game. He deserved way better than he got and as I saw Luke leave the game, I thought to myself, "This is for Keegan. This one's for you, babes." I hope he's proud.
Throwback to Episode Three: "I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one's fisting Matterhorn!" Cheers, friends. We'll see if I can pull out a win this weekend.
Tumblr media
We just made f4!!!! Wow!!! I feel bad for Luke but the 4 of us stuck together through all the craziness!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah I know it was stupid of me voting for Brett when I knew at the back of my mind he wasn't stupid. asdfghjk
But I made a promise to Luke that I will never write his name down again and I stood by that.
Anyway it's F4 Immunity with four parts. For the trivia it took me a while because I was double checking everything. The last part the memory, I was really shook that I only needed to do the boot list. I kinda panicked because I sent in the correct boot order but it was being labeled as incorrect. It took me like 3 tries then I thought I should include Benjamin's first vote out and that was the one that was making my answer inccorect. AHHHH, you sneaky little hosts!! These bitches better not have noticed that right away!! PLEASE LET THEM NOTICE FOR AFTER LIKE TEN MINUTES OF TRYING!!
I'm really stressed right now. Brett simply cannot win any of these 4 comps because if he wins immunity I might as well just give up because his resume is the best of the best. You could compare it to like his resume is like a manuscript for a wonderful novel while ours is like some little essay made by an elementary student lol
The endurance challenge, it's like between me and Ash followed by Dom. I'm feeling that Ash will win this one because she's fast. Dom just needs to keep scoring so Brett will remain with 1. BRETT CANNOT WIN ANYTHING AHHH!!!
The flash game, I did it yesterday, I've got a really good score that hopefully is high enough to snag first place. I'm gonna try and get a higher score but whenever I play, the game lags rip.
PLEASE LET JENN FROM'S POWERS TRANSFER TO ME!! I NEED TO WIN!!
PLEASE DO NOT LET BRETT WIN ANYTHING!! PLEASE! I'd give anything to make sure Brett doesn't win this immunity!! I'd give these hosts my first born son, my inheritance, my house, just about anything so Brett won't win!!
Ash has got to realize the she does have a good case but it pales in comparison to Brett's!! She's got to side with me and Dom on this vote in order for all of us to get an equal shot at winning!! PLEASE!! BRETT SIMPLY CANNOT WIN ANY OF THESE 4 PARTS!!
CAPS LOCK IS LIFE <3
Tumblr media
Whew that was a tiring immunity. I think that we all did good tho!! I'm kinda glad Ian won cause he deserves it. I think we all do to a point but it's so hard to decide who should go after all the hard work. I really love Brett and I've been loyal since day 1. There's no way anyone has a shot at winning with him tho. I'm glad the three people I'm with are my fave choices. No matter who goes I'm gonna be sad.
Tumblr media
I FUCKING WON IMMUNITY!! OMG, is this like a fucking dream?! I can't believe I'm keeping my never voted out status!!
However I can't celebrate yet. There is only one obstacle left and that obstacle is none other than Brett Ashley Hawkins. For sure me and Dom are voting him out no matter what. The real problem is Ashley Sarah. She needs to vote with us this round because I don't have confidence Dom can beat Brett in a tie-breaker lol
I've talked with Ashley and I acted I was on the fence between Brett and Dom. I'm pushing for her to vote Brett but she's a bit hesitant. UGH, girl can't you see that no matter how loyal you look like to the jury or by keeping Brett YOU WILL NOT WIN! She has to realize that she has a chance of winning is she goes with me and Dom.
Brett's telling me that he knows he's a good candidate to win but so is Dom. Well I can't speak for the jury but every one of us is threat to win BUT no one is big as a threat as you Brett. I'm taking this final shot at you no matter what and I'm begging you Ashley. Please pull the trigger! We got voted in by the community because they want us to succeed, don't let them down please Ashley! Pull the trigger!
Tumblr media
I can't believe it's FTC!!! In a main season!!! I have been blessed this season to be with an amazing group of allies!! They really are why I'm here!!! Ty so much to Ian Dom Brett Tyler and Nick!!!! You guys were the best!!! I am so happy just to be here that i don't even care about placement!!! I improved and had so much fun!!! The hosts are now my new faves!!!! They made this season so great to be a part of that I really see this as one of my fave games!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IF I LOSE TO DOM I'M GOING TO CRY!
[6/19/2017 9:45:03 PM] Brett Hawkins: I think you have Ben and Tyler no matter what combo
[6/19/2017 9:46:21 PM] Brett Hawkins: I think Dom or myself would have Jev & Luke
[6/19/2017 9:46:28 PM] Brett Hawkins: Dom would have nick
[6/19/2017 9:46:34 PM] Brett Hawkins: Nick is up for grabs if it's us
[6/19/2017 9:47:18 PM] Brett Hawkins: And that leaves Zack, Abel, and whoever goes home tonight
[6/19/2017 9:48:11 PM] Brett Hawkins: As far as it looks from my perspective anyway
[6/19/2017 9:49:18 PM] Brett Hawkins: I know I played bolder than Dom, but a lot of people might see an arrogance and pride issue there while Dom was a lot more friendly and subtle
[6/19/2017 9:50:50 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): Yeah but like Jev and Luke had already set they're voting for you if you make it to FTC
[6/19/2017 9:51:56 PM] Brett Hawkins: If I don't, they're voting for Dom though
[6/19/2017 9:52:15 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): How are you sure about that?
[6/19/2017 9:52:56 PM] Brett Hawkins: Because Dom had his hand working with them in several heists. The nick vote was dom's only misstep and that was out of loyalty
[6/19/2017 9:54:16 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): That's still ain't a clear motive to want to vote to win.
[6/19/2017 9:54:33 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): At least that's what I think
[6/19/2017 9:54:52 PM] Brett Hawkins: If you would rather have Dom represent our season, you should vote me out.
[6/19/2017 9:57:28 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): You make it sound like he's dead set to win if he's in FTC
[6/19/2017 9:57:38 PM] Brett Hawkins: That's how I feel
[6/19/2017 9:57:52 PM] Brett Hawkins: I genuinely feel your choice is to lose to me or lose to Dom.
[6/19/2017 9:58:24 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): Okay so I kinda feel offended tbh
[6/19/2017 9:58:49 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): You're saying I absolutely have no shot at winning?
[6/19/2017 9:59:06 PM] Brett Hawkins: I feel like you haven't played a winning game, no.
[6/19/2017 9:59:17 PM] Brett Hawkins: I feel like you'll lose 6-2 to either Dom or myself.
[6/19/2017 10:00:57 PM] Brett Hawkins: Clearly you feel like you have a better shot against Dom, but you really should feel offended at yourself that you feel your game can't hold up to mine.
[6/19/2017 10:01:44 PM] Brett Hawkins: And that is the pride and arrogance you can expect to see from me if I'm still at final tribal council
[6/19/2017 10:01:53 PM] Brett Hawkins: Because I know I've played the best game this season.
[6/19/2017 10:02:14 PM] Brett Hawkins: And you know that too.
[6/19/2017 10:02:26 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): Everybody knows that
[6/19/2017 10:03:40 PM] Brett Hawkins: Dom, for my money's worth, has had the most strategic game and has been in the loop with at least a partial controlling hand on the most votes once I leave
[6/19/2017 10:03:54 PM] Brett Hawkins: Like I know I'm being an asshole right now, ian.
[6/19/2017 10:04:00 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): Yeah you are
[6/19/2017 10:04:04 PM] Brett Hawkins: It's just hard not to be
[6/19/2017 10:04:12 PM] Brett Hawkins: When I have put in this much work
[6/19/2017 10:04:36 PM] Brett Hawkins: I don't have 3 other orgs I'm involved with like Dom
[6/19/2017 10:04:40 PM] Brett Hawkins: This is it for me
[6/19/2017 10:05:03 PM] Brett Hawkins: Since November of last year, I have played 4 total including this one. I devoted my time to this.
[6/19/2017 10:05:13 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): I've been with you this entire game and I can tell that you have played the BEST game here
[6/19/2017 10:05:35 PM] Brett Hawkins: Because I cared the most
[6/19/2017 10:05:51 PM] Brett Hawkins: Because second chance actually meant something to me
[6/19/2017 10:06:07 PM] Ian (New Orleans Host): It meant something to me to you know
[6/19/2017 10:06:11 PM] Brett Hawkins: I know
[6/19/2017 10:07:17 PM] Brett Hawkins: I'm sorry for coming at you hard
[6/19/2017 10:07:28 PM] Brett Hawkins: It's just frustrating to know your time is up
I keep telling myself that this is Brett trying to fuck with my head.
That conversation just made my desire to win even brighter! I'll be damned if I'm going to lose to Dom. I just can't! I CAN'T BE A TWO TIME 1ST RUNNER-UPPER!! The gloves are off bitches! It's time to turn off my emotions for these jury answers and just basically try and make my game look like a beautiful pasta compared to Dom's game.

FINALE
I realized that I hadn't really addressed the final round of my game at all. Here goes.
I worked harder than anyone to make this game exactly what I wanted it to be. After Keegan was eliminated, I had the courage required to annihilate anyone I had wanted to. I pulled off some of the most successful schemes of the season. I danced between groups at my own preference. I won challenges. I made connections. And it all came to a crashing halt because of 2 reasons:
1) I couldn't win one last immunity challenge.
2) Both Ashley Sarah and Ian both seem to believe that they have a chance at beating Dom in my absence.
Ashley Sarah was a big bag of word salad the day of the vote. She told me "I just don't want to go to fire." That is the single most idiotic and spineless thing she's said to date. That's not a reason! She wouldn't be the one going to fire--what the hell would she care? What she meant to say was "I like Dom more than you. Sorry!"
I told both Ashley Sarah and Ian once I knew things weren't going to go my way that their vote was going to decide whether I was the winner of Tumblr Survivor: Switzerland or if the winner would be Dom. I meant every word of it. Ian was not happy to see such words. He told me "Wow. That's really offensive." And I responded as candidly as ever. "Don't be offended that I find your game doesn't match up to Dom's or mine, be offended at yourself for playing yet another runner-up's game." This was as objective as I could possibly put it. I didn't say that to Ian to hurt his feelings. Ian is extremely likable and he's a skilled player, but the most memorable game move Ian made this season was wearing a top hat during a music video challenge.
So this is it for me! They all knew I would eviscerate them before a jury and that's that.
To Ashley Sarah, you're a lovely girl. I had so much fun with you. I honestly have no idea why you play these games. It's very clear you're not in it to win it and you're not particularly well spoken, so I'm really wondering: what's the point? I owe an apology to everyone on the jury because there are 7 people there in addition to myself who cared more about this and put more effort in than you ever did. I find your lack of desire to do anything except be there insulting to the hosts who put a lot of work into the season and to everyone who worked hard to succeed. I hope you consider things like this before enrolling yourself in 4 ORGs and host one in addition to that.
To Dom, congratulations. While I feel like the final three is made up of personal assistants, you shine as a leader among the company you're seated next to. I had so much fun playing with you and for 15 years old, I am extremely impressed with the head you have on your shoulders. Thank you so much for teaching me everything you've taught me.
To Ian, I'm sorry I wasn't that great of an ally. It was really difficult to be true to you when I saw Tyler's impact on you clear as day. I think you're fantastic and while I don't feel like you deserve to win this game, you have loads of potential and you have impressed me a lot in certain aspects of this season.
To everyone who placed beneath me and the ten individuals that did not get voted into this season, my gameplay was a love letter to all of you. The competition was strong and I had a lot of work cut out for me. You're all inspiring and I'm very happy with this season, all in all. Thank you for playing with me.
To all the players, my confessionals are an immediate, first reaction to the things that happened in this game. A lot of my opinions might be rough or brutal, but a lot of them have softened in the days (and in some cases, hours) that passed. I am sorry if I have offended in anyway. Well, for the most part. If you were unlikable, that's on you. You're probably not that big a fan of me either, anyway.
To the hosts: Drew, Amanda, and Abbey, thank you for putting up with my obnoxiously large ego for over a month. You all should see the same therapist Trevor and Owen went to after dealing with me the entire Myanmar season.
And speaking of Myanmar, a major thank you to the hosts and cast of my previous season as well as Tate Hornford, Zakriah Wahid Razzak, Aras Djonovic, and Will Lott for giving me insights on the players I wasn't familiar with, inspiring an extremely diplomatic, open, and friendly chat between Logan and myself once the season began, and for cheering me on every step of the way. I really hope I did you proud.
And lastly, my game and the strategies implemented therein is all to impress Mr. Keegan S. Thank you so much for your wondrous friendship and support, for being my first original ally that every ally in the 4 games I've played has had the dread of attempting to measure up to, and for pushing me to be the best player I can be. I kept the promise I made to you--not one person that wrote your name down left with this season's crown. This game is dedicated to you.
Thank you.

The Whole Story From My Side. A Work In Progress.
So there was this girl, unlike any other I had ever met. Have you ever drank cold water so fast that it caused a brain freeze? That’s what it was like loving her. Needing her and taking her in so quickly that it became overwhelming. She saw my flaws and loved me for them. I saw hers and loved her for them. Unfortunately, like all good things that come to me, I found a way to ruin them. My memory seems to be more and more lackluster these days so I’m documenting this in case, somehow, I forget some of the best times of my life. So here’s random bits of the times before the bad times, before I found a way to ruin it all.
The First Date:
I remember thinking to myself, “I never do stuff like this” I never go out on a limb and meet a stranger just cause. Especially one from a dating site. My anxiety was at an all time high the closer I got to meeting up with her. I remember sitting outside all worried, talking to her on skype. I was almost sure she had blown me off. But then she pulled up beside me and with a confused look on her face just said “James?”. And I don’t know why, just that one moment, I went from treating it like every other moment where I’m so awkward it’s unbearable to just letting my walls down and being my stupid funny self. And I held up a rag hinting at a joke we made about how I was probably some creep that was going to drug her and kidnap her. Her response, one I’ll never forget, she smiled, laughed, and applauded while stating “bravo sir”. I knew then and there that this one was different. We went to a park, made small talk about how bad we both were at a game we both enjoyed. It was around the time Pokemon Go was a thing and we had a small dispute about which team was better since we weren’t on the same one. We got in her car and drove to what was supposed to be a mall, it was not a mall. It was a small chain of stores, a chain of lies. So we settled for Buffalo Wild Wings as a fall back plan. We played trivia. The whole time I didn’t know what the hell it was about her. Something was just dragging me out of my awkward shell and making me let my defenses down and be this stupid dork that I am on the inside, but on the outside. And surprisingly, she liked it. We talked a lot about our lives and the not so smart choices we’d made. I think I told her more about myself in one sitting than I have most people I’ve known most of my life. We drove an hour back to my car from the chain of lies. I hugged her goodbye and just sat there in my car waiting for her to leave. Once she did I did a little victory dance. It had been so long since I’d actually been happy. And the fact that I went out on a whim and used a shitty dating site, and somehow managed to find someone like her? Jackpot. I went home and spent the next few days rambling to my roommates about the stuff we did and how interested I was in her.
The Second Date:
So this time, she agreed to let me kidnap her. And “depending on how it goes” she may or may not stay the night (hint, I’m awkward as hell but in a charming way, so she definitely stayed the night). I picked her up from her house, her mom seemed a tad weird but her son was cute. So was the nickname she had for him “man cub”. We picked up a pizza and watched some movies, one (Sausage Party) that made both of us feel unclean, and another (Finding Dory) to kinda cleanse us of what we had just watched. I wanted to cuddle with her but lack a backbone. Luckily, I guess she felt the same way because she laid back in my lap. She had the audacity to ask if it was fine. Of course it was fine, I was desperate for this. She stayed the night that night. And for once, in a very long time, I felt, I guess you could say “okay”. Just feeling her next to me made me feel a warmth I had honestly forgotten. And that scared me.
Meeting the Family:
So I finally met more than just her mom and son. Her stepdad was an odd one, but reminded me of a friend I rarely keep in contact with anymore. Tyler was pretty funny, at the time I thought “I could probably get along with this guy if I could stop being socially awkward”. I stayed the night there that night. Honestly I was so hooked on her by that point I would have slept outside on the ground as long as she was nearby. But the couch in her living room would do just fine. She slept out there with me. And at one point even had to bring her son out because he was really sick and fussy. I held him at one point. And (thinking about it now kills me, crying and typing is hard), it sounds cheesy but it “felt like home”. Just laying there on the couch with he and she, I still don’t know how to describe it really. I knew I was getting ahead of myself with the feeling because I told myself “I wouldn’t mind this”. In a “family” kind of way. I was getting ahead of myself, but I had completely fallen for her, in so little time. That scared the hell out of me. And at this point we hadn’t flat out said we were dating yet. Not too long after that, I told her “I can’t help it, but I think I love you”. And she said, “it’ll take me awhile to say it back, not because of you, it’s just a thing”.
She Told Me She Loved Me Too:
It didn’t take her very long to say it back. I will never forget when she told me. It caught me so off guard. We were laying in bed making small talk and just casually, during one of the pauses after laughing, she just quietly said “I love you”. It caused a feeling in me I’ve never felt before. Sure I’ve been told “I love you” by others before. Something about this time was so different. It caused a chain reaction in me that was so hard to contain, I wanted to pick her up and swing her around, I wanted to fucking soar to the moon and back, I wanted her. But I contained myself somehow and simply said  "I love you too" and kissed her forehead.
So The Girl Came Down With Bronchitis:
We woke up one morning and her voice was almost completely gone. I didn’t mean to laugh at her, but when she spoke and would squeak, I found it adorable. She said “I don’t want to go, but I think you need to take me to the ER”. Things got a bit more serious then. I didn’t want her to be in any sort of pain. So I went from joking to “get your cooooaaaat”. I took her to the ER. She was wearing one of those face masks because at the time we didn’t know it was bronchitis and she didn’t want to get others sick. She thought, “I look like death”. She may have been sick but she was still beautiful. We sat there for a long time, basically just snuggling each other. She was so bored at one point she took pictures of us together, face mask included. We went into the back finally. She was given a shot. She hates shots. Well her body does. She was standing next to me stating “I’m fine, I just need a minute”.  A few seconds after that she feinted. I tried to grab her but naturally my dumbass missed by an inch. Her head hit the door. She was out like a light. I was super worried asking the nurse “should I sit her up, is it okay to move her?”. Apparently I couldn’t move her just in case. She woke up to us crouched over her asking if she was okay. She was fiiiiiiiiiiiine according to her. Which was good, because my weak ass heart couldn’t take the worrying ahaaaaaa.
To be continued.
