. . . Is this what they call a Christmas miracle? (O∆O;)
I was ready to accept that I would never get the angels but then this happened!!!
There's no other explanation other than this is the Christmas miracle, and I'm grateful for it (TvT)
And i thank you for the free 500 Solomon rings. I'm too broke to buy them with real money (T.T)
I was suppose to uploaded this yesterday but then my luck from the Gacha decided they want payment from the luck that I got by breaking my phone again (TvT).

Too Good to be True (robin buckley x black!reader)
Tumblr media
a/n: I hope I did the robin lovers justice with this one. I wanted to draw from an experience I had. Maybe other people have had similar experiences
Pairing: Robin Buckley x black!reader (always gonna be a black reader)
Too Good to Be True
Robin couldn’t tell if she was being played or not. One of, if not, the prettiest cheerleader at Hawkins High School had become her friend. But it couldn’t be anything more than that right?
Like sure, you would come over to Robin’s lunch table and leave her a snack pack because they were her favorite. And sometimes you would offer Robin rides home. And you would ask Robin what color to paint your nails next after the old paint started to chip. But it was nothing serious right?
Steve assured her several times but she still felt unsure. It could all be for show. A cute fad to kiss the gay girl. Did you even know Robin was gay? Many questions swam through her head constantly. She really liked you but did you really like her back?
During her weekend shift at Family Video, she ranted to Steve while it was empty. Quietly seething with worry when it was busy. It was your dark brown eyes and your two-toned lips. It was your bouncy curls and your bright smile that all made her head spin. How pretty you looked in pink. It complimented your skin so well. It was the way your makeup matched what you wore and how you always needed to reapply lip gloss in 4th period. Whenever you were in the bathroom with Robin fixing up your hair, the way you looked at her for approval asking, “How do I look?” Robin would fumble over her words every time.
“She is so perfect and I am so… me.” Robin grumbles in frustration, “It’s too good to be true.” She looks out the window yearningly, “She has all the basketball boys barking for her, there is no way she would be interested in me. She just went on a date with one of them last week. Let’s just admit a girl like her wouldn’t dare lose it all for a band geek like me. As if.”
Steve looks at her sad pout, “If you think so. But if I know one thing about girls is that they pay attention and vie for your attention when they want it. The pudding, the nail polish, the trips to the bathroom together, c’mon Robin put two and two together she likes you a lot. When was that date last week?” He pats her shoulder as he brushes past her to the computer behind the counter.
“Friday?”
“Oh yeah? Must have been a shitty date because at 5 o’clock she was in here renting 3 movies.” Steve moves out of the way to reveal the screen, “And one of them, she said you recommended to her.” Robin moves closer to the screen in awe. In white letters was your name and address along with 3 movie titles; Flashdance, Top Gun, and The Slumber Party Massacre. The last one is the one Robin recommended to you. Robin shakes her head out of a daze, “That doesn’t mean anything. She also rented Top Gun. She could have still been on the date.”
“She came in by herself.” Steve squints in confusion. Robin waves him off, “Why else would she have rented it?”
“Because it is a classic. And so is Flashdance. Both are very good movies,” Steve defends.
Robin scoffs, “A classic with super hunky guys that are shirtless a lot.”
“Okay? They also fly planes all the time.”
“What are you saying? She wants to fly planes too?”
“Maybe, a girl likes what she likes.” He brushes past her, “And she likes you.”
Robin looks back at the computer with a worried look on her face. Last week you rented the movies, which meant that…. They were due today. At any moment you were going to come skipping through those glass doors with three tapes in your hand and a bright smile on your face. Her palms begin to sweat as she stares at the door. Slowly she sinks down behind the counter to hide.
“Robin? Where’d you go?” Steve peeks over the counter noticing her curled up in a ball on the floor.
 “She can’t see me here.”
“She probably could.”
“How?”
“If she just looked. You are in the middle of the floor.” Robin slides under the shelf. “If she looked hard enough, she could still see you.”
Just then the chime of the front door rings, “Hi, I’m here to return my tapes from last week.” You enter the store and set the tapes down on the counter. “I rewinded them too.”
“Perfect. Enjoyed the selection?” Steve opens the tapes to check their condition.
“I guess. Top gun isn’t really my kind of movie.” She shrugs, “But I did enjoy The Slumber Party Massacre. It was so funny.” Robin’s heart skipped a beat.
“With a name like that, I’m surprised.” Steve chuckles.
“Me too. My date couldn’t stomach the gore but it was so cheesy. He didn’t even stay for Flashdance.” You pout leaning against the counter. That's when your eyes follow the patterned carpet on the floor and see Robin hiding under the counter, “Robin? What are you doing under there?”
She flinches at her name and crawls from underneath the counter. “Hey, I was just… napping.”
“Right.” Steve sneers, “I’m gonna go put these movies away.” He gives Robin a knowing look before slipping past her to put the movies back on the shelves.
“I enjoyed the movie you recommended to me.” You smile, “I loved it so much, got any more recommendations?” Your smile makes Robin’s heart melt. She can’t help but smile in return, “Uh, hmm, I-I can’t really think of any n-now.”
“Oh too bad. I’m all alone this weekend and need to occupy my nights with movies.” You huff air into your cheeks before walking over through the aisles. Steve comes back over and elbows Robin and tilts his head towards you. Robin follows his lead and goes over to you, “I could still help you find a movie, at least.”
“That would be nice.” You hook your arm with hers and lead her through the aisles to get her opinions.
After several minutes of sifting through the selection, you stand in front of the counter empty-handed, “No dice, sorry I wasted your time Robin.” You sigh. She waves it off, “Not a problem, it's kinda my job.”
You place your hand on your face embarrassed, “Right. Forgot for a minute, you’re an employee and not my friend right now.”
“I’m always your friend.” She smiles. You smile in return and laugh. It makes Robin’s stomach explode, you were so perfect. You blink a few times before clearing your throat, were you getting bashful?
“I think I would like to rent The Slumber Party Massacre again. I didn’t really get to appreciate it the first time. I watched it with the wrong crowd.” You go over and grab it off the shelf again. Robin’s hands begin to clam up as she takes the tape to re-enter it into the system.
Should she say something? Did you want her to say something? She was going to say something, “I could come over and watch it with you.” She purses her lips to keep her composure.
“Really? You want to?!” You lean over the counter and your smile grows bigger and it reaches your eyes. Robin bites her lip and nods, “Sounds like you enjoyed it. I would love to watch it with you.” She hands the tape back. You grab it from her and your hands graze each other, a wave of electric shock passes through Robin, sending chills down her spine and her heart begins to race.
“I’ll go to the store and get us some snacks. I’ll be back when your shift ends and pick you up.” You squeal and spin around with the tape, “It’ll be like a real slumber party.” You wave goodbye to her and skip out of the door. Robin flops her body onto the counter once you’re out of sight.
“Smooth moves.” Steve comes up beside her, “It’s a date.”
“It’s not a date.”
“It is so a date.”
“It’s not a date, it's a slumber party, between friends.”
“I know what happens between girls at a slumber party. I’ve seen that movie.”
Robin wacks his arm, “You’re fucking gross, Steve.”
Robin’s shift ends and you come to pick her up. Your parents were away for the weekend and you had the house to yourself. You take her up to your room. Robin had been here before, after a basketball game you invited her to a sleepover with some other people. You let her sleep in the bed with you since it was big enough. She didn’t get that much sleep as she was looking up at the ceiling in shock that you chose her.
Your room was utterly you. Pink flowery wallpaper, a plush duvet, and pillows, the heart-shaped vanity in the corner with the dresser covered in all your perfumes, makeup, and nail polishes. She gets a closer look and sees the polish of your most recent nail color. Citrus Yellow. Robin remembered in class, that you cursed and pointed out that your paint was chipping. She said that yellow would be a pretty color next. You replied back, “I don’t think I have any yellow.”
She smiles to herself and puts the nail polish back. You put in the tape and hit play before looking at Robin. “Get comfortable. What are you going to do, stand there and watch the movie?”
Robin clears her throat before sitting on the bed. You grab a pillow for her and yourself and rest your chest on it. She tenses up feeling how close you were to her as the movie started to play. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the glitter twinkle from your eyeshadow when you blinked. Gosh, you were so pretty. Robin moves the pillow under her chin as she continues to watch the movie.
You laugh at the corny bits and squeal at the deaths until the movie is over. As the credits roll, you wipe your tears and look at Robin, “That was way more fun watching with you.” Robin smiles back at you, “Yeah, I had a lot of fun with you.”
You smile, and Robin could have sworn your gaze moved from her eyes to her lips for a split second. “I like laughing with you.” You lick your lips. Robin’s heart skips a beat. You were leaning forward. What should she do? She wanted to kiss you too, but was this right? Oh shit, you were getting closer. Robin didn’t move, she didn’t want to move. She felt your lips against hers. It felt so right but so wrong. She jerks away quickly. Your eyes fly open and you back away in surprise. “Was that okay? I’m sorry if that didn't feel right to you.”
“No no it’s just, I’m not into —”
“Girls.” You wilt, “That’s okay, I just thought maybe— Nevermind, it’s okay that you don’t like girls. I just ask that you don’t tell anybody about this. If anybody found out I was…” Your voice dies in your throat, “I don’t know what would happen.” You get off the bed and eject the tape, “You’re not gonna get Harrington to jump me right?”
“No! No way! He’s not… I wouldn’t… Wait.” Robin slides off the bed and up next to you by the tv grabbing your hands, “I’m not, not into girls.” You look back at her with a blank stare, “I really like girls and I really like you. I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just really afraid you were using me as some kind of pet.”
You let out a laugh, “A pet? Robin, that was me showing I like you.”
“I see that now! I just thought you were using me to explore.”
You sigh, “I understand. I’ve been there before.” You look down at your hands, “So we like each other.”  You lace your fingers with hers, “Does that mean it’s okay to kiss you again? Maybe without a breakdown?”
Robin laughs and nods, “Absolutely.” She caresses your face and leans in capturing your lips in another kiss.
