BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

summary: matt surprise his best friend with some special tickets

november of 2022 for most people could mean nothing. I mean it's just a month. not for scarlet. the month of november 2022 was the month she went though the great war of trying to get taylor swift: the eras tour tickets and failed.

matthew sturniolo knew his best friend was a huge swiftie sense he could remember. she had gotten scarlet through the best and worst times of her 19 years of life. through her best friend breakups, birthdays, friendships, and more. so when he heard that scarlet wasn't able to get eras tour ticktets he was crushed.

taylor swift concerts were their thing. when scarlet got her first concert tickets for the speak now world tour she couldn't be more happier. the friend that she was going to bring originally beld on her last minute so she wouldn't have anyone to go with (she said she refused to go with just her mom) matt came over that day hoping to see his best friend jumping for joy that her concert was that night however he soon came to find out that she was in fact in her room sobbing her eyes out not being able to go.

long story short matt offered to go with her. he couldn't let his best friend go alone. soon then on they went to every concert that they could together whether is was some concert scarlets mom dragged her to or it was taylor swifts: reputation stadium tour, he was always there.

matt knew deep down he had very hidden feelings for the girl so going to a concert with his best friend was not a huge deal even if his brothers teased him about it to this day.

and years later he knew he had to get her those tickets whatever it took.

he spent weeks if not months trying to scrounge up some tickets for them eventually he was able to get some.

in may for nashville. he decided to surprise her for her birthday with the tickets that he had gotten.

on the days leading up to her birthday scarlet tried to find the happiness of not being able to get taylor swift tickets. noramly she wouldn't be this salty about not getting tickets but it was never this hard to get them before. why was her ticket givin to some 13 year old girl who had only heard of her popular songs?

scarlet tried not to be petty she really did but it was more difficult then not.

matt always knew how to cheer her up though. with their song. sparks fly.

when they first heard this at the speak now tour back in 2011 they both decided that night that it would be their song. they have kept to their word years later always playing it when their in the car alone or they need to cheer one another up, it was always something they loved.

and even though the song did cheer her up a little bit. she was still unfortunately petty.

it was now january 27th and scarlets birthday was just mere hours away.

she woke up to the smell of pancakes coming from the kitchen

her favorite.

she walked into the kitchen with excitement

"hi boys" she greeted

nick and chris just grumbled in response. matt however greeted his best friend as well.

"hey my beautiful best friend" matt flirted

it wasn't abnormal for them to flirt with each other but it was different today it was like matt had actually meant it.

what scarlet didn't know is he did mean it. every single word. he just wished that the best friend part wasn't there.

scarlet just shrugged it off as he was probably just being extra friendly cause it was her birthday.

scarlet took a seat at the table and began eating her pancakes in peace.

it had been a little while later when they were all gathered around the coffee table in the middle of the sturniolo's living room. scarlet had just gotten done opening her present from chris which was a new perfume that she had been looking at.

"chris! this is the best thing ever!" scarlet exclaimed going to give the longer haired boy a hug.

next was nick's present. she had opened it in anticipation ready to see what he had gotten her.

it was a folklore vinal and some jewlery.

"oh my god! thank you nick" nick hugged his best friend

next was matts. he was nervous for scarlet to see what he had gotten. he got up from his spot on the couch making his brothers and best friend confused. he went to his room and grabbed two envelopes.

chris and nick looked at his brothers hand confused. why would matt of all people give his favorite person and the girl he had a crush on some cards?

"what is this" scarlet asked

"just open it you'll see" matt told her a smile growing rapidly on his face.

she did just that. he had placed the envelopes in order of which she need to open them. she ripped the top one open revelieng a note:

dear my favorite person ever,

I love you so much, and with it being your birthday I thought I would give you something that would mean more to you then anything else. happy birthday beautiful.

scarlet read the note with sincerity in her eyes

"thank you matt" scarlet smiled

"okay now open your other one" matt exclaimed waiting impatiently for her reaction

she opened the second envelope nervously she had no clue what it could be.

she saw some papers and grabbed them taking a look at what she had gotten from the boy.

she read it carefully making sure to read every little detail.

"oh my god" with that she bursted into tears.

matt had gotten her tickets to the eras tour.

chirs and nick who still looked confused asking her what she got

with shaky hands she showed them the two tickets.

"you did not!" nick jumped up

"yeah and I'm going with her" matt proudly said

scarlet ran up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.

"thank you so fucking much" she whispered through tears

once she had calmed down matt made a comment

"well I guess I won in the present category" matt smugly said

"oh shut up" Chris rolled his eyes

scarlet pushed her face more into matts chest. she couldn't wait to go to the eras tour with her favorite person.

Rant below! Read if your curious

My mother has me stressed. We are going to colorado in january for a weekend for my cousins wedding and i was volunteered to book ticktets. I don't know why me but whatever. I find cheap ones with the flights leaving and returning at a time we all want, and no stops. My mom starts freaking out because we have to pay for a carry on.

I don't like paying for baggage, that's why I usually fly southwest, but there were no southwest tickets popping up. All together for 3 tickets, it came out to like $400, Which is a decent price for 3 plane tickets. But my mom kept going on about paying for her carry on so I went onto southwest and pulled up tickets and it would have been over $1000. There were no round trips available. Just one ways. But oh man we would each get one free carry on!!

So I blew up on my mom, which I hate doing but she was not listening to my reasoning. She finally relented and we went with the cheaper option. I went on and paid the extra for a carry on and the extra so we could sit together. And it was still cheaper than getting the southwest tickets.

Like I wasn't even gonna initially go to the wedding because I have my own wedding to pay for but my mom and fiance were like "if we all 3 pitch in, we could do a weekend."

Um unnötige Flüge zu vermeiden, erkundige ich mich, ob ich meine Dienstreise nach Schweden mit dem Zug antreten kann. Die Sekretärin ist begeistert; das Reisebüro nur halb, denn für die Hinreise ist ein Zugticket günstiger als ein Flugticket, aber für den Rückweg ist der Zug teurer.

Ich bekomme also ein Zugticket für die Hinreise und ein Flugticket für die Rückreise. Das Flugticket wird mir wie immer per Mail zugeschickt: Ein Buchungscode, Details zur Verbindung, Gepäckbestimmungen, alles sowohl im Text der Mail als auch im angehängten pdf.

Das Zugticket wird mir in einer anderen Form geschickt:

Ich gehe also zum DB-Fernverkehrsautomaten in Düsseldorf-Benrath und drucke mir das Ticket selbst aus. Dazu muss ich erstaunlicherweise ausschließlich die Auftragsnummer eingeben – hätte ich mich vertippt, wäre ich vielleicht nach Prag oder Madrid statt nach Göteborg gefahren. Außerdem steht, soweit ich das sehe, nirgends auf dem Ticket mein Name, es könnte also jeder Hinz und Kunz an meiner Stelle nach Göteborg reisen.

Ich erhalte sechs Papierschnipsel: Der erste Schnipsel ist ein EC-Kartenzahlungs-Beleg, obwohl ich die Tickets gar nicht selbst bezahle und vermutlich auch das Reisebüro keine EC-Karte zum Buchen verwendet hat. Der zweite Schnipsel ist eine Übersicht des Reiseplans: Von Düsseldorf nach Hamburg, von Hamburg nach Kopenhagen, von Kopenhagen nach Göteborg. Der dritte Schnipsel ist die Fahrkarte (Super-Sparpreis Europa). Der vierte Schnipsel ist die Reservierung für den Zug nach Hamburg. Der fünfte Schnipsel ist die Reservierung für den Zug nach Kopenhagen. Der sechste Schnipsel ist die Reservierung für den Zug nach Göteborg.

Der Tag der Reise kommt, ich bin gut vorbereitet für die 15 Stunden Zugfahrt (Jutebeutel voller Snacks, Thermoskanne voller Tee, Kuscheldecke zum Schlafen, vier Bücher zum Lesen, zehn Serienfolgen auf dem Handy zum Schauen, zwölf Podcastfolgen auf dem Handy zum Hören). Die Sache mit den vielen Schnipseln stört mich, und ich kann die Auftragsnummer meiner Buchung nicht im DB-Navigator eingeben. Stattdessen mache ich mit dem Handy Fotos der drei Reservierungsschnipsel, damit ich nur den Fahrkartenschnipsel griffbereit halten muss und beim Umsteigen in den jeweils nächsten Zug einfach auf dem Handy nach der Platzreservierung gucken kann.

Kinky Boots, Paris, London, The Book of Mormon and more! 💞💕

Hi Leute!

Ich hab mich mal wieder seit gefühlt 'ner Ewigkeit nicht mehr gemeldet. Aber ich hatte die letzten Monate wirklich nicht die Motivation gehabt. 😂

Doch dafür habe ich einige Attraktionen erlebt, die ich hier gerne veröffentlichen möchte. 😉

Zunächst einmal würde ich mit 》Kinky Boots - Das Musical《 anfangen, was ich letzten Juni in Hamburg angesehen habe. 😉

Kinky Boots - Das Musical in Hamburg

Ich bin eines Tages, als ich auf Instagram runter gescroolt habe, auf eine Werbeanzeige als Musical - Tester gestoßen, wo man sich kostenlos ein Ticket für ein Musical in Deutschland buchen lassen kann und dafür nur ein Fragebogen im Internet ausfüllen muss. (Diese Aktion gibt es leider nicht mehr) Natürlich war mein Interesse geweckt und ich habe mich für die Anzeige als Musical - Tester angemeldet. Und wie ich bereits erwähnt habe, traf ich die Wahl für 》Kinky Boots《. Alles verlief reibungslos und wie versprochen kostenlos. Ich musste nur die Fahrt nach Hamburg und zurück bezahlen. Dafür wählte ich das 》Schöne Wochenende 《 Ticket für 44 - €, womit ich den ganzen Tag in Deutschland mit Nahverkehrszügen fahren konnte. Das war zwar eine anstrengende Fahrt, aber trotzdem eine Erfahrung wert. 😉🚝

Jedenfalls, als ich in Hamburg angekommen war, war ich voller Vorfreude auf das Musical. Ich hatte bereits vor Jahren von 》Kinky Boots《 gehört, da es ein riesengroßer Hit am Broadway und West End war bzw. ist. Damit ich mir aber den Spaß und die Überraschung nicht verderbe, habe ich keine großen Nachforschungen über die Handlung und die Songs gemacht.

Um jetzt endlich zu dem eigentlichen Musical zu kommen: ich war wirklich sehr begeistert von dem Musical. Die Schauspieler haben ihren Job wirklich gut gemacht und waren auch passend gewählt. Die Songs auf deutsch klangen auch sehr gut und sind keineswegs "schlechter" oder "ungewohnter" wenn man sie mit dem englischen Original vergleicht.

Das Musical war genauso oder gar noch besser als es mir beschrieben wurde. :) Es macht Spaß, ist positiv und emotional ergreifend. =D

In Hamburg läuft das Musical leider nur noch bis September. Ich würde euch allen raten schnell ein Ticket zu kaufen, da dass Musical wirklich sehenswert und ein #musttosee ist. ^°^

Wie ich wahrscheinlich in meinen älteren Beiträgen schon erwähnt habe, war ich in Paris und London jeweils eine Woche im Urlaub gewesen. 😉

Paris 🌹

Eine wunderschöne Stadt, die mit ihrem wunderschön, anmutigen Wahrzeichen, dem Eiffelturm, geschmückt ist. 😊🌹

Ich war zweimal auf dem Eiffelturm gewesen. Einmal tagsüber und einmal nachts. Abends war es total voll, weswegen es schwer voranging und die Leute einen leicht mit ihren Fotos und Selfies auf die Nerven gingen.

Die Aussicht war natürlich umwerfend, selbst wenn du kein Ticktet bis mach ganz oben kaufst.

Ganz oben gibt es aber Champagner und man kann einen kleinen Blick auf die Wohnung von Gustave Eiffel werfen, wo Wachsfiguren von Gustave Eiffel selbst, seiner Tochter Claire und Thomas Edison stehen.

Ich habe in Paris auch eine Hop-on-Hop-off Tour gemacht, die ich nur empfehlen kann. Hop-on-Hop-off Touren sind generell immer eine gute Idee, da man gemütlich durch Stadt fahren kann und die Reiseführer oft coole Fact's und Empfehlungen zu sagen haben. Am besten gefiel es mir, dass es nur 2 verschiedene Touren mit dem Bus gab, weil es so unkomplizierter war. (In London ist das schon wieder anders, da es dort 3 oder 4 verschiedene Touren sind) Bei so einer großen Stadt finde ich es im übrigen immer besser ein 2 - Tages - Ticket zu kaufen, weil man dadurch mehr Zeit hat sich die Stadt anzusehen. Ist auch nur ein Paar Euro mehr als ein 1 - Tages - Ticket.

In Paris habe ich mir auch den Louvre und die Musee 'd Orsay besucht. Beides wunderschöne Museen, mit einer Vielzahl von Ausstellungsstücken. Mir persönlich hat der Besuch in der Musee 'd Orsay etwas besser gefallen, da sie nicht ganz so überfüllt war wie der Louvre. :P (was nicht heißen soll, dass der Louvre nicht auch schön ist)

Ansonsten habe ich die üblichen Touristen Attraktionen besucht, wie z.B. den Notre Dame. Bei dem Notre Dame bin ich sogar bis nach ganz oben gegangen. Ja, ihr lest richtig. Gegangen! Es gibt da nämlich keine Aufzüge. Nur Treppen! Aber keine Sorge, es ist nur halb so schlimm wie man denkt.

Ein Besuch im Montparnasse Building ist auch sehr empfehlenswert. Man sagt nicht ohne Grund, dass es die schönste Aussicht von Paris ist. 😉 Auch wenn das hauptsächlich nur darauf beruht, dass man das hässliche Gebäude nicht mehr im Bild hat. 😂 (eine Anekdote von dem Hop-on-Hop-off Reiseführer 😉).

Ach ja, und ihr müsst unbedingt in einem Restaurant essen gehen! Sehr lecker und sättigend.

London 🌸

In London war es genauso schön wie letztes Jahr. Nur diesmal hatte ich mehr Geld mit. 😉 Was auch besser war, da London noch teurer ist als Paris. Und glaubt mir, Paris ist nicht billig.

Da es glaube ich jetzt etwas zuviel wird, werde ich nur ein Paar kleine Highlights aufzählen. 😉 Natürlich habe ich daneben noch viele andere Attraktionen und Sehenswürdigkeiten besucht.

Ich habe abends eine Nachttour durch die Stadt gemacht. Wunderschön! Und der Reisführer war witzig und konnte viel über die einzelnen Gegenden erzählen. 😉 Würde ich das nächste Mal unbedingt wieder machen!

Dieses Jahr habe ich den Wolkenkratzer 》The Shard《 besucht, der eine traumhaft schöne Aussicht zu bieten hat. Und super leckeres Eis verkauft. :P 🍦

Dann war ich noch im Tower of London, wo auch die beeindruckenden Kronjuwelen sind. Der Tower ist eigentlich sowas wie ein riesiges Museum. Was nicht verwunderlich ist, da hinter dem Tower viel Geschichte steckt. Ich fand es da drinne sehr interessant. :) Nur die Tickets waren etwas überteuert.

Das Sherlock Holmes Museum habe ich in dieser einen Woche auch besucht. 😉 Es ist sehr klein dort drinne, aber für jeden Sherlock Holmes Fan ein Traum 😊 In dem Souvenirshop habe ich mir ein Teddy - Sherlock Holmes gekauft. 😁

Und zu meinen absolut größten Highlight gehört mein Besuch beim Prince of Wales Theater, wo ich mir endlich 》The Book of Mormon《 anschauen konnte. 😁

So witzig, tolle Songs und einfach nur umwerfend gut! Das muss man einfach nur gesehen haben.

Vorallem Elder Cunningham bringt die besten Gags. 😂

Die Besetzung war sehr gut gewählt, auch wenn ich sagen muss dass der Darsteller von Elder Price das "i believe" nicht "ganz so gut" hingekriegt hat wie im Original. Aber wer übertrifft schon Andrew Rannells? 😂 Das soll nicht heißen dass der Schauspieler schlecht war! Er war sogar mega! Ich habe während der Show sogar für ihn geschwärmt, da er so gut aussah. 😅

Die Besetzung könnt ihr euch glaube ich online anschauen, nur war in meiner Vorstellung ein anderer Schauspieler für Elder Cunningham besetzt worden (wahrscheinlich Zweitbesetzung oder so).

Aufjedenfall würde ich dieses Musical jedem empfehlen, der vor hat sich ein Musical in London anzuschauen.

Trust me, it's so hilarious!

Die Story, die Songs und die Charaktere sind einfach so gut und genial gemacht!

I think ticktet design maybe is a good idea, because it includes both letters and numbers which can show the character of font fully.

layout is important in ticket design, how to place the information, make them clear to see. But I need to place them into protrail orientation which is not the normal form, it is the challenge that make the elements full of the whole page.

I really love the B setlist with all the HCE stuff and I searched for another concert where he plays two times at one place and yeah, there’s another in germany... 3h away from me :(  So i looked for tickets and luckily there were still a few ticktets... i spamed my father with circa 100 messages that i want to go there and YEAH it was a good idea! After the dinner we bought 3 tickets (my mother gonna come with us :((((, she doesn’t really like Steven’s music °o° :cccccccc)  We’ve got 3 separate tickets now and I AM SO EXCITED AND I HOPE THAT HE WILL PLAY THE B SETLIST THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, I'm really done with the weather in this country.  In January it was warm, no snow was seen and it was almost not cold. If you finally think that the winter is almost over when February starts, it seems like I've landed in a freezer. Only cold and snow that comes.
