[ I want to make myself clear that this isn't with the intent to guilt trip or fish for sympathy in any way I just gotta get my thoughts out so they stop rotting in my brain. I'm feeling very frustrated about the minimal interaction I've gotten since coming back from hiautus, but also angry and honestly guilty for feeling that way. It's probably my own doing with my fluctuating activity, and more importantly no one owes me any attention. I'm not going anywhere necessarily, I'm just at a loss rn ]

i know i already raved about them over on their bucky blog and i think on their multi as well,,,, BUT I WILL DO IT AGAIN !! dearest dixon! darling dixon! first i want to thank you for being so nice, chill and welcoming. you were super open to tossing ideas around when i first approached you way back when and you've been just as welcoming, nice and chill ever since. secondly, i want to say that i absolutely adore how you write. i mentioned it before --like over a year ago-- in another ask / comment i sent your way about how i love that you can write steve and bucky so well despite how different they are. i would write with pretty much any of your characters at this point bc i truly adore how you write them. and you use can paint an image so well without falling into the fiery pit that is flowery orbs hell. like the reply from david where you write how he sees her in the reflection of the glass and the light creates a red halo around the top of her head. *heart eyes* idk i just loved that description, it was so so good! and don't even get me started on your reply to steve and natasha dancing. and this one from your bucky is ?????
No motion to make acknowledgement that his heightened senses can already smell her feather light perfume. He knows it well..
like??? her feather light perfume that he knows well???? fuck off ! i remember when i read that i had the biggest dumbest grin on my face bc yes! HELLO??? someone finally acknowledging that she wears perfume (not always but in the circumstance of that reply, it absolutely made sense for her to wear it. also knowing her she wore it on purpose so that he would know she was there but that isn 't the point) idk it is the little things about my character that someone drops into threads either on purpose or by accident that i truly adore when writing with someone. and it is also something i try and do with long term partners. also ? this tidbit i found while scrolling your steve blog ??
Nothing about his wiring’s been reconnected to make him okay with killing. He’d never want it to be. It’d mean he was too far gone, too far lost off the borderline of their side verses the enemy’s.  And the most sickening thing is--sometimes--he feels himself close to that point of no return. Feels relief knowing it’s him that’s going home. Even at the cost of someone else.
let me just take a moment to appreciate this gem because, to me, it hints that the change he's gone through since coming out of the ice. acknowledging that he isn't that kid who just wanted to help the war efforts. that sort of "naive out of touch" 1940s all american guy that we perceive him as in the avengers movie isn't there anymore. sure, some things might still be there but he's come along way in this century and has seen a lot both during the war and after being defrosted, especially after the fall of shield and that bit you wrote really expresses that. i freaking love it. hope you have a good holiday and spend it with loved ones along with your doggies. maw! ilu! ♡

Darkness was the first thing they registered when they awoke from their heavy, heavy slumber. Neither of them could remember what happened, but despite not being able to see where they were, they immediately felt the oppressive air of somewhere they weren't supposed to be.
Remembering wasn't at all as much as a priority than figuring out what was going on. It didn't help matters that they seemed to be chained down to chairs at a table...
"H-hello?" Sketchbook hesitantly whispered out.
"Sketch?" came another voice from right beside her.
"Larry!" Sketchbook called out his name in a relieved sigh, but it was soon overshadowed by the unmistakable tremble of fear. "Wh-...where do you suppose we are...?"
"I don't know," he replied, "but I have a damn good feeling of who brought us here."
To their surprise, another voice shortly cut in:
"You're so smart, Leonard."
At the utterance of that last syllable, the lights came to life, revealing both the room and the gravity of their situation.
The room was big, and not unlike a basement built from concrete. The chairs and the table they sat in were steel, just as the chains that bound them. However, nothing about this was more horrifying than what was in the center of the room.
Strapped tightly to a metal platform that was adjusted vertically...was Colin. He looked unconscious, so he must have been given heavy sedatives...both Sketchbook and Larry were mortified into silence until Antonio strode in from behind the mechanism that held their best friend.
"You fucking bastard!" Larry yelled, "Let Colin and Sketchbook go! They didn't do shit to you!"
"Larry, no!" Sketchbook plead, terror in her eyes as she snapped her head to Larry's. "No! I'll stay here, you can't put yourself in danger-"
"Oh, now, now, children, quit your bickering..."
Antonio strode towards them, mania in his eyes and teeth on full display in a grotesque grin.
"None of you are going anywhere! Not any time soon..."
As soon as Sketchbook's eyes locked onto him, she fell into a dead silence, stuck in a thousand-yard stare.
Sensing Sketchbook was too afraid of Antonio to speak, Larry didn't hesitate to interrogate the man in her stead. "What do you want from us this time, you fucking freak?!"
"Oh," the word was drawn out in an excited shudder, "we're all going to play a very special game this time!"
Antonio gave no room for a response, continuing on, "I want to see just how strong that bond of yours to each other truly is! I want to see how far you would go!"
"I want to see if you would rip each other's eyes out and claw your own organs out just to keep Colin safe!" The frantic joy tightly held their tormentor's voice in a chokehold as his body visibly shook with near-madness.
"But first," Antonio stopped in front of the table before his gloved hands abruptly crashed down onto the metal table as he loomed over them. He smiled wider when they jumped. "First, I'm going to tell you the rules!"
Larry bared his teeth in a snarl, "No. We're n-"
"LET. ME. SPEAK."
Antonio's sudden and demented aggression immediately wiped the scowl off of Larry's face. He quickly realized that the blight upon his friends' lives was much more erratic and dangerous than usual. He'd have to force his rebellion aside and tread carefully this time.
"Your friend over there is completely unconscious, and will be for a while! I found a way to shut off his mechanical brain entirely. But," Antonio interjected, "I ensured that I did no harm to any of his memory, drives, motherboards or processors..."
"Now, what I want you two to do, is follow a series of little challenges I've made for you! You have a time limit to complete them...and every time you run out of time or refuse to play along..."
He leaned in closer, "...I'll corrode a bit of his brain. Once it is fully corroded, your poor cyborg friend will die...and I won't revive him."
Sketchbook broke into heavy sobs and Larry actually found himself shaking in disgust and terror at the prospect.
"You're fucking sick!" he screamed, the fear and panic on full display as tears welled up in his eyes.
"Oh, shh-shh-shh-shh..." Antonio gave a sickening chuckle, "That's only if you misbehave, my darling! If you play my game all the way through and correctly...I will let all three of you leave."
Larry's soul ached with agony as he heard Sketchbook weeping during the half-minute of silence that followed...so, he continued to speak when she wasn't able.
"How-...how many challenges do we have to do...?"
It twisted Larry's stomach to see Antonio's expression gain a hint of hedonistic satisfaction.
"However many I decide. Am I understood~?"
Larry looked towards Sketchbook, who tearfully nodded, still hiccuping through her crying. Larry looked back to Antonio and nodded shakily, his agreement tumbling out, "Okay...fine. Anything for him..."
Antonio stood upwards, "A wise decision, dear friends!"
"Ah, one more thing," he added. "We will also have an audience...would that be alright with you~...?"
Antonio didn't wait long enough for a response before he let an unhinged laugh escape him, turning his back to them and starting to walk away.
"I'm only asking to be polite, of course. I don't care if it's alright with the both of you or not~..."
Sketchbook was trying her best to quit the tears and patch up her resolve while Larry did his best to emotionally support her in his sympathetic silence.
"I'll give you a day's grace period before we start," Antonio chimed in again, opening the exit to that hellish chamber.
"Savor it while you can."
The heavy door shut and a sturdy deadbolt locked it in place.
As soon as he was gone, Larry leaned on Sketchbook's shoulder.
"It'll be okay, Sketch. The three of us have survived him for this long...who's to say we can't survive this...?"
Despite Larry's encouragement, he sounded unsure of himself, but Sketchbook appreciated the gesture nonetheless.
"You're right. I-...I just hope we satisfy him enough for him to let us out...all we can do is try," Sketchbook replied feebly.
Although they were terrified out of their minds, all Sketchbook and Larry could do was hope for the best...and their care and trust for one another was already deep enough for them to know that they'd do anything it took to save Colin.

24. What about your muse are you most proud of?
♡ Munday Meme ♡ // @distopea
i don't really like to toot my own horn about this stuff, but i'm quite proud of the richness of his character. i feel like, in many situations, he can react with a lot of nuance. there will be layers to his levels of thinking, his emotions, his motivations, and what he chooses to express. it's something that i've taken a long time to grasp to the point that it feels natural and i don't have to force it too much, so i'm happy about it, it feels good to have that control. Nowadays, he's a very complex puppet with many strings i can pull on!

FINALLY REMEMBERING TO DO THIS,,,,,,, If anyone would like to plot a ship with one of my muses and have it added to the relationships page, this is my official invitation to do just that! And this extends beyond romantic ships; I'm open to plotting friendships, found families, enemies, whatever! All kinds of ships are important to me.
My only caveat for this is chemistry- meaning, in my use, our muses interact some before their ship is "finalized" so to speak with a tag and entry on the page. I want to be sure we're both on the same page as for what kind of ship it's turning out to be (which could change), and have enough of a sense for them to make them a fitting tag.

we only just started chatting but i had previously followed them like over a year ago. i followed because not many people write characters from that show and while i have never seen it myself or know anything about thomas, i wanted to expand into other fandoms. at the time i was really trying to not follow a bunch of m.cu blogs and i think either someone reblogged their promo onto the dash or i found it via the r*le*lay crime tag. i already told gami this privately but i was (and still am ngl) super intimidated by their writing and just sort of admired from afar. i sure hope that changes in the new year thought!

It's been too many days,
too many days of seeing herself and her friends be pushed to wit's end and then chained, sunk back into reality again. Too many days of thinking everything couldn't get any worse, only to be proven wrong over and over.
Long,
grueling,
endless.
She found herself caving into something she couldn't understand then. It was something of an empty instability, something cold that lied dormant, waiting for something to happen. She constantly felt it now, this sensation that left her feeling like an unfired gun.
Sketchbook didn't want to acknowledge any thought like that, but it was becoming harder and harder to ignore the more Antonio pulled apart the thread that kept her together in the first place.
It didn't help that he made her stick either close by him, or in his room. She'd been effectively separated from her best friends for weeks now.
Asking him about them didn't help. All he did was either teasingly lie to her, or delivered the truth by way of jokes or brutal details...and now, here he was, taunting her like usual.
Sketchbook knew exactly what would happen if she chose not to engage, but went that route anyway. He reacted as she expected.
"Not going to talk, are you?" sneered Antonio, twirling the pocket knife in his hand, possessing the air of some kind of mischievous whimsical creature. "Perhaps a little more quality time between us will prod you into being a little more eager to speak up."
The man moved his free hand to stroke her hair, "Don't you agree?"
Sketchbook lifted her head up to look at him, feeling herself be hollowed out and replaced by bitter hatred. There was no fear in her eyes.
Just anger.
"Do. Not. Touch. Me."
Antonio's hand stopped, his smile warping into something more mocking and cruel at her demand.
"Sketchbook, you daft, silly little thing," his words matched her energy in its maliciousness, "you should know by now that I do whatever I want at my discretion. Your needs don't matter here."
He was about to reach for her hair again when Sketchbook snatched his wrist with the tightest grip she could muster.
"I'm tired of you treating me and my friends as toys, Tony," Sketchbook spoke, an unfamiliar poison hitting her voice.
"You always ruin EVERYTHING!" she screamed, shoving him back with all of her strength. It only made him stagger backwards, but she didn't care.
"Every single time I think we're FINALLY going to be okay, you RUIN IT! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STOP?!"
Sketchbook barely felt the tears pouring from her eyes as the initial look of genuine surprise on Antonio's face shifted into an incredulous smirk, like she'd said the dumbest thing in the world.
"STOP SMILING AND JUST ANSWER ME!"
She was shaking all over now, the anger swiftly rising.
The hammer was pulled back.
"The truth of the matter is, all of you are just too fun to play with!"
Ready?
"Ha! Honestly, I doubt I'll ever leave any of you at peace."
Aim.
"Especially you, my sunshine."
FIRE.
Sketchbook wasted no time, screaming in rage as she tackled the man to the floor, the knife clattering to the floor with him. It wasn't long until he wrestled her onto her back, though, hands latching around her throat as a toothy grin took up his face.
"Gracious, this was over quickly! I figured you'd be more of a fight, what with that pent-up rage of yours."
"SHUT UP!"
Sketchbook kicked, punched and clawed, trying to get him off of her the best she could. Her hands felt tingly and was making this hissing noise every time she touched something, but that was at the very back of her mind. Everything at the forefront was blinding hot rage and violence. All she could see was red.
She fought so hard and so blindly that she could barely register his grip getting tighter until black was starting to dot her vision. As a last-ditch attempt before she passed out, she left one last long scratch across his face that made him let her go shortly after.
As soon as he'd let up, she gasped and choked for breath, too exhausted now to do little more than just survive.
"Well, now..." Antonio rose, standing over her. "...this is new."
Sketchbook weakly looked up to see what he was talking about. She could see the arms and front of his suit discolored in some places, and...
Burns.
Antonio's skin had burns where she had scratched him.
She was suddenly aware of how strongly her nose caught the scent of chemicals...and when she looked down at her hands, they were dripping this clear substance.
Sketchbook sat up and scrambled back shakily, the substance dripping down onto her clothes, now starting to discolor them, too...then, it stopped. She kept staring at her hands until the realization hit her.
That was paint thinner.
Paint thinner leaked from her hands and-
No.
"No, no, no, no, no," Sketchbook muttered to herself in a panic, "what did I do?! What did I do-?!"
The last thing she wanted to happen happened. She spiraled out of control, and now she had something inside her that could hurt people. She didn't want to hurt anybody, she never wanted to hurt anybody! She-
"Oh, calm down, Sketchbook. You just have a new ability, that's all. In fact, I didn't know that you teachers could develop such things...and it seems all it took for yours to come was your hatred towards me..."
Horror settled in her bones. She couldn't think straight anymore.
All she could do then was ask, "Could you-...could you please let my friends go home? I-...I don't want to do that again, Tony...please, don't make me do that again..."
Sketchbook could see the discoloration on her pants and shirt revert back to normal as he answered, "Sure, I don't mind to."
"I've had my fill of the three of you for now," Antonio patted her head lightly.
"Tony...?"
"Yes?"
Her mind crumbled in its desperation.
"I'm afraid of going back home...I'm afraid I'll-..."
"You're afraid that you'll hurt them?" he finished for her.
"...yes."
"Well, now...I'm positive that it won't be triggered again as long as I'm not around," he reassured, much too lighthearted about the situation. "So, don't you worry your little head."
Sketchbook lifted her head to look at Antonio as he opened the door. She couldn't understand why, but she felt relieved not to see the burns she'd left on him anymore.
"You know where their room is." Antonio nudged his head towards the outside as he stowed his recovered knife in his coat pocket. "It seems you've got quite a bit of catching up to do, hm?"
The jab didn't even spark irritation in her again. Even if she was still sick and tired of Antonio, and even if he was done with her and her friends for the time being, she had other things to worry about now...

im seeing tons of posts on twitter that are like "i love this new trend of freddy being a friend!" and i keep losing it bc like... sb and the new movie teaser are not the first time freddy has been good with kids. even if its only implied, even way back in f.naf 2, its mentioned that the animatronics are themselves around kids (so, presumably, good)? the only people theyve killed or had grudges against are adults & staff skfjsjjf??
