this man forced me to create the most elaborate dress i've made in a long time but it looks great!! and that cape. that cape is so big that it overlapped w/the text from the last drawing i did ]]

[[ i was thinking about antonio and how he feels about time travel. he'd entertain the idea as a concept, sure, but once someone intends to actually go through with it (if they're native to his universe, anyway), he drops that cheery demeanor towards them completely.

not only does he discourage them and destroy their means of time travel, he also makes sure that they don't even think about doing it again by any means necessary ]]

[[ thought again about how antonio is a generally positive person. specifically, he's an optimistic realist

"ah, things didn't turn out as well as i'd expected, but tomorrow is another chance to get it right!"

it's weird that he's like this because

his color palette isn't bright (that's a character design tactic used for a more serious villain or someone with overall negative energy usually (which was initially unintentional on my part because i'd color-picked from a screenshot of dhmis 2 and i just ran with it))

you would expect time to be a cold & calculating force, and thus a cold & calculating person. like when you think of time as a villain, the image that brings to mind (to me at least) is someone who is focused on the inevitable, whether the inevitable be succeeding at their plans or the inevitability of death. both of those usually carry a heavily negative and overbearing weight. 2a. along that idea, you'd also expect time itself to be very serious, and treat everything seriously

From even before you were born, you are not only brought into this world, but you are of the Earth itself. When you die and are lain to rest, eventually your body returns to the Earth: every atom, every piece of your molecular structure meshes into the ecosystem of this planet.

Of course, you already know this, do you not? You are familiar. You are aware. Why, they teach you this in school! How wouldn't you know?

I feel as though many of you are forgetting something, though. A piece of information that too many of you overlook:

All of you were doomed to be oppressed by my influence. You owe your existence, even as a thought, to me. You can choose to ignore it to spite me, but in the most obscure corners of your consciousness, you know that I am right.

Even after your consciousness and awareness dies, I will continue to have a stranglehold on you. What separates the situation is that, while you are alive, you have the misfortune of being cognisant of this.

You have the misfortune to realise that you should be thanking me for everything you know and love...or everything you know and hate.

Isn't it wonderful to know that, beyond your surface knowledge of who I am as a person, I am in control of your lives in more ways than you could possibly fathom?

And, even if you were already aware of this, isn't it wonderful that I am generous enough to give you the reminder?

another headcanon i've had that's relevant is that he uses a fine-toothed comb to perfect his hair and gazes longingly at his reflection for an absurd amount of time.

also, in his earlier form, he used to use pomade to really slick back his hair like how people commonly did in the 50's (or the 50's stereotype anyway). when he really got creative w/his form, he decided he wanted his hair to be more grandiose so he made it more voluminous. that is why it's so big ]]
