Sonic Finds Robotnik once again, (oddly feeling drawn to him) and defeats him. Taking the 6 chaos emeralds the mad doctor had (he doesn’t know that they are why he kinda knew where he was). Sonic currently has no idea what they are or that the Doctor was actually looking for the last one. He doesn’t go super because he doesn’t have all 7. However, he knows that if Robotnik (he starts calling him Robuttnik right about now) wants them, they are probably too dangerous for the mad man to keep, so Sonic keeps them.

Note: Sonic can lightly detect Chaos Energy. He can loosely pinpoint the location of the Chaos Emeralds if he’s close enough.

tbh ive kind of been under the impression tikal and chaos are like. actually dead. moved on and shit dead. gone. like tikal sealed them in the emerald to stave off chaos’s wrath, but chaos’s wrath is gone, and they both moved on from the tragedy, in the way ghosts “move on” from their death. so i sort of just think they’re gone for good.

Okay actually I have more thoughts about the "for you the world Phil" line and its original context. So.

Even though the line isn't exactly meant as some huge declaration when c!Techno says it, and it wasn't as significant and dramatic as the fandom often makes it out to be, I still think it's incredibly sweet and it still does demonstrate so much of how they care about each other.

Because basically what c!Techno was saying was "y'know what? You yoinking the bookshelves was exasperating and inconvenient, and you're an absolute dork for it, but you're my dork and I would give you the world, so I don't actually mind. (You're my best friend so I'm gonna let you off the hook, because you could never make me mad truly with something like this)" It was him surrendering the argument to c!Phil, which isn't really something c!Techno does.

It's a much more domestic declaration of love than what I'd assumed the line was without knowing the context, but imo it says just as much (if not more) about their dynamic than if it had been some dramatic turning point or finale in the lore.

Because even when their lives aren't on the line and it's silly little squabbles like this one was, they still care about and respect each other so much

So I’ve been working on ideas for a Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) rewrite/AU idea for a while now (see my sketch comic rewrite of the intro here)… What if the multiple pathways are because Shadow is stuck in a time loop groundhog day style and he has to go through all the pathways to retrieve all his memories and figure out “WHO I AM” for REAL (and get to the final story)
