Rewatched Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick and damn. Damn love those movies so much they are both good movies and you can't tell me otherwise.
(I think Chronicles may be my favorite of the two.)
I will never watch the third movie. The only Riddick ending I need is that one fanfiction on Ao3 where the author wrote what I am 100% sure is a self insert in as a super special concubine assassin bodyguard of the Lord Marshall who eventually falls in love with Riddick because this is fanfiction goddammit. Riddick is like "ah a Hot Woman who fights good" and he cleverly negotiates all of the Necromongers onto some random planet with his craftiness and fighting good so they can colonize it and not Have War Forever, becomes besties with Vaako after beating him up, and later finds a *second* hot tortured criminal man (TM) for his wife, super special self insert woman, since he can't be there all the time to protect her, so she has two boyfriends, Riddick and riddick 2 electric bogaloo, and gardening is an important plot element.
You will never take this from me, it's the only ending to Riddick I need. I want to pretend the evil space empire is fixed with 1) gardening and 2) space criminal who cares naught for their spicy political murder dramas and just repeatedly beats them into submission with their own rules because he killed the last boss and if he says we're gonna go colonize some random planet, you're gonna go colonize some random planet.

rewatched the game of thrones white walker final battle episode for the first time since it aired. what a letdown. how did they resolve the entire white walker plot in one single battle in one episode, first of all. 8 seasons of buildup and the night king’s invasion lasts ONE EPISODE. and everything that happens in that episode is lame and boring. how did they manage to make it boring. i was checking my watch!!! every major character death feels lame and unearned. arya somehow sneaking up on the night king (and his 7 million cronies who were surrounding him???) is kind of a cool moment and a serve but you have to overlook it being insanely stupid first. i wanted him to kill bran sooooo bad. the lord of light showing up for .2 seconds and then not doing shit to help out for the rest of the episode is literally so funny. ditto melisandre doing fucking nothing the whole ep (she lit a fire. big deal. did this make ANY difference to the outcome of the battle) and then being like “well my work here is done” and unaliving herself immediately, this was SO fucking funny. also, re: the way she died, you will NEVER be the chronicles of riddick (2004)

WHERE DO I BEGIN WHERE DO I START....okay what I'm gonna do is just stream of consciousness write as i think without editing this so you're literally getting a look into my brain!!
levi is just trying to stay alive and there's been at least two times where someone has tried to sell them off. correct me if I'm wrong but I'm running off of a major assumption that because aereon can do. uh. That Whole Floating Thing and dame vaako is like "they're witches!!" then most elementals have some sort of affinity to their elements that they 'follow', resulting in something similar to magic?? maybe. if that's true then I'm getting little water tricks and no one can stop me. regardless of if they get Smagic™️ they're still heavily inspired by spike cowboybebop spiegel and if that doesn't tell you what kind of person they are, i don't know what to tell you
anyways levi and riddick meet one damn time at a shady bar and now they won't stop following him. i was gonna throw them into pitch black but I'll have to rewatch the movie to see if i can first of all. I'm still working on their background together mainly because i originally intended for levi and riddick to just be friends with a pre-established relationship to each other sometime around then....but my tastes have expanded and i thought of holding his face in my hands ONE TIME and suddenly my brain is like "oh you Like him like him" which is high-key still embarrassing to me but give it like two posts and I'll be crying.
instead of doing actual legitimate lore work i keep just thinking about how their dynamic is - yet AGAIN - "we're kind of close but i think i accidentally fell in love with you and i don't know how I am supposed to explain that to anyone" except this time they were both abandoned by their families and who would have thought they'd have crossed paths. it's hard to think about anything nice when i now get to try to think from his perspective to see if I can even get away with shipping with him legitimately....i'll eventually figure that out, probably after i watch chronicles again bc that's my favorite movie out of the series and i know for a FACT that i am gonna have levi in chronicles, where they probably end up getting contacted by aereon

currently craving: mostly my mum’s company. it’s her birthday tomorrow and it’s the first year in my life i won’t be celebrating it with her. food wise i’d really love a fryup but i’m too scatterbrained to let myself near hot oil right now lol. want 2 eat hashbrowns and gravy.

The Fast and the Furious
Because my roommate’s gone home for Christmas, I’ve been left all by myself. So, after rewatching The Chronicles of Riddick with my brother, I decided to watch The Fast and the Furious. Mainly just so I keep seeing Vin Diesel.
That’s it. That’s the only reason I’m going to watch the first movie of this franchise. And if I’m still in the need of Vinny, I’ll movie into the rest of the series.
And because I’ve stopped and paused the movie about 1374992 times before the 20 min mark, I decided to write my reactions in real time. Just so I have incentive to actually watch a movie by myself.
Idk if the Fast and Furious fandom is really active, but I hope someone finds my reactions to the movie entertaining
