Soryu Oh - Request
Tumblr media
A/N: This request got away from me in the space of the actual request and now, I can only apologise.
She knew better. She did, but it didn’t stop her eyes from following the dainty figures of Sakiko and Chisato. Nor did it prevent the thoughts from beating her down as she watched each woman attached to Eisuke’s arm or fleeing from Baba’s suite.
‘Oink’ The noise followed the maid everywhere. Always in the same nasally voice that stalked the hallways in every version of Tres Spades. Erika had wormed her vindictive nature into the quiet joyful moments the maid spent in the arms of the man she loved.
Mirrors always remained behind her; her gaze fixed on the floor as she passed the reflective surfaces. Her free time, that she would spend relaxing with the boys, had been plagued with diet pills and frequent trips to the same websites. Soryu hadn’t touched her. Not in a while. It was her doing; he’d wanted to rest a hand on her thigh as they watched a new detective film, but she had flinched and muttered a half-hearted excuse to leave.
She knew Soryu thought nothing of it. The Ice Dragons kept him busy, and he’d relax with the other auction managers whenever he had some downtime.
“There it goes again” Erika chimed “On search for more food. The penthouse guests must get their kicks watching the piggy clean”
“Don’t listen to“ Chisato began. Her eyes dropping with her words as they watched the young maid smile whilst her body, flinching, made its way to the penthouse elevator. Mr Ichinomiya had requested her presence. The words that sunk their claws with each step could wait. Mr Ichinomiya needed her.
With her eyes closed she stepped into the overly polished space. She couldn’t tolerate looking at her reflection. A distorted clone would stare back at her; beads of sweat glistening under the spotlights and fabric suffocating her held together by flimsy black buttons.
Eisuke sat, as he always did, in the centre of the Spades Room. The other auctioneers, all but Soryu, gathered near them. Hesitantly she approached. Her hands held in front of  her. Sharks swam ahead of her: beady dull eyes ravenous as she awaited her employers’ orders.
“You’re late…and sweating” He quipped. “Perhaps we should have Mr Kenzaki order you a larger more breathable uniform” she hoped as his words died against her ears, that Ichinomiya hadn’t meant the words or that her vicious mind wouldn’t fixate on the term ‘larger’. She’d gained a few pounds just as fast as she lost them. Ryosuke had been partially to blame. The boy had brought her a fruit tart as an attempt to correct an error he’d made one time, and the one time had turned into multiple times. She could barely remember the boy turning up without some form of confectionary.
“Eisuke, you should speak to a lady with more caution” Baba’s voice, always kind, chastised the man. “Can’t you see she’s crying”
She hadn’t noticed. When had the manager’s forms become so blurry that their colours began to merge? When had they started to cascade down her cheeks?
“If she can’t take honesty, she’s no better than swine”
“Eisuke!” Soryu’s voice seethed with anger. His frame shielded her as best it could, but he wasn’t broad enough to hide her completely. She focused on that; she obsessed, as he legs carried her further from the penthouse and in turn from the hotel, on what Soryu looked like with her by his side. She was an embarrassment to him.
--
The Tres Spades had become a mere speck in the distance by the time she had collapsed against a wall. The shadows of an alleyway had pulled her into its depths; blocked from the view of others she found the safety in the isolation. She couldn’t hear the mocking sounds of swine; all she could hear in the small sanctuary were her laboured breaths.
Her knees buckled beneath her; her frame falling to the floor in a heap as she began to cry harder. Part of her begged for Soryu to round the corner any second, his secure arms wrapping around her whilst he whispered the same sweet nothings he used to say in the dead of night. The sobbing swallowed all noise as she pressed fists into her eyes.
“Imagine how well the boss will treat us when we bring in the Ice Dragons’ girl”  A slurred voice startled the woman. Her tear-stained face looking at the source of the voice. She hadn’t noticed the men.
Two gang members stood opposite her. One short and stout with a belly that struggled against his shirt, and the other comically tall with an oversized suit. The two hardly looked a threat, if hadn’t been for the bloodthirsty gaze with which they stared at her. Blood running cold she attempted to move further from the duo.
No-one around here knew her; she barely knew where she was. She couldn’t call for help. There’d be no Ice Dragon’s wandering on patrol in this neighbourhood. No Inui following Samejima. The two men pressed further forward; as she began to retreat into her mind. She wanted to apologise to Soryu; she wanted to hug the man as though he’d disappear if she released him.
She barely recognised the vague call of her name. Not as impending doom beckoned her. It was the gunshots that broke her free of her thoughts. One of the two men staggering as they fumbled with their own weapon, she followed the direction he pointed it. Scared eyes meeting the less then calm eyes of Soryu.
“Get away from her” He barked; he was there. Soryu had found her like he had so many times before. Soryu moves as quickly as he can, his bullets covering him as he grabs her. In a few seconds; she can see it in the way Soryu flicks his eyes briefly to the side of him, in a few seconds there will be reinforcements.
As soon as his jacket is in front her, she grabs for the material. Her face buried in the soothing scent that accompanies the man she loves. His unarmed hand holding her to him. Within in seconds she can hear the alley flooded with footsteps. She can hear the desolate cries of the two men as they attempt to retreat with their lives.
“I’m not sure what’s going on with you and believe me I want nothing more than to find out what’s torturing you. But right now, I need you to move.”  Soryu pleads. Soryu places the gun in his hand on the cement beside him.  With ease he lifts her, his gun abandoned for one of the dragons to collect as he walks out of the alley to an awfully parked car.
“Put me down, I’m heav-“ She stops herself, her eyes consumed by the deep crimson mixing with the cool grey of his jacket. She can see the frayed material. “You’re hurt, Soryu put me down you’ve been shot”
“No” He grumbles as he ducks into the vehicle. Inui clambers into the passenger seat, Samejima into the driver’s seat. Soryu sits her on his lap, his hands clamped tightly around her, and she can feel the blood oozing onto the material of her uniform.
“Soryu please. Let me go” She begs, fresh tears – not for herself but for him – falling down her cheeks.
“I can’t. No. I’m not letting you go again” He whispers; there’s a break in his voice. “I almost lost you, I haven’t got enough fingers to count how many times I’ve almost lost you. It’s my fault. I told Eisuke to call you to the penthouse before I got there. That crass bastard said something, that much I can gather.” A grimace shadows his features briefly as he places his forehead against her.
“You got hurt because of me if I hadn’t run out of there. If I hadn’t taken Eisuke’s words about my appearance to heart. You wouldn’t have been shot”  She cries.
“Shh” He hushes her, one hand smoothing her hair. “I don’t mind these wounds as long as I got them protecting you. There’s only one person, no make that two people, you should be listening to about how you look. That’s you and me. You are every inch perfect in my eyes, regardless of how much you weigh or how much sweat you’re covered in.” He adds
Her lip’s part ready to protest but the argument dies on her lips as she looks into his eyes. There in the fleeting streetlights, she can see the silent plea for her to believe him, for her not to protest. In his soft features he begs for her to see herself how he sees her.

the hotel singer. || KBTBB Eisuke x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: A rewrite of the epilogue!
Word Count: 3.6K
A/N: Here's my first! Thank you for requesting @tokkiostarrs :) I hope you enjoy!
Your life had become a whirlwind. At first, you were just the hotel singer, and you worked most nights, sometimes in the restaurants, sometimes the casino. You recall when you first met your now boyfriend -- if you could call him that. He was brash, bossy and rude as hell.
It was your first year performing at the I.V.C., and you looked classic. It was no mistake that you were chosen for your job because of your looks, your ability to pull off a 40s brush out curly look, and of course, your voice. You had garnered the attention of the male clientele, but always remained professional. That didn't seem to matter on the day of the I.V.C, because when you went to get a glass of warm water at the bar to prepare for your next set, you were held at gunpoint and forced into a secret room in a basement that you didn't know existed.
It seemed as though someone decided to auction you off without your consent, sticking you in a birdcage for someone to buy you. The one who ended up helping you was none other than the hotel owner, Eisuke Ichinomiya. He was a pain in the ass; and you were not afraid to let him know.
Unbeknownst to you, that was part of the reason he fell for you. You were not afraid of him, and you didn't fall at his feet like every other woman did. In fact, you despised him at first, and you always made that very clear. Ignoring him when he paged you, retaliating when he acted like a jerk. He acted all irritated but he found it very amusing from the start.
Regardless, you were together now, which was ironic, given that he used you as a fake girlfriend at first to make a business deal go through. You guessed. It was hard to tell when he treated you like trash most of the time. Granted, that was just his personality, but it wasn't good enough for you. He would change. Or you would leave.
You might love him as well, but no love is worth being treated that way. He seemed to change his tune when he admitted his feelings, but the rest remained to be seen.
You were attending the morning staff meeting, even though you only worked nights, you got your set list and a timed schedule along with the rest of the staff.
After you went up to your room (you don't live in the employee dormitories for convenience), and started going about your day while humming your set list, your pager went off. You groaned.
"You think he'd just call me instead of page me like I work for him..." You paused, "I guess I do work for him though," You mumbled and clicked the button to get it to stop beeping.
After a few minutes, you made your way upstairs at a leisurely pace.
"You're late." Eisuke said with a frown as you entered.
"How?" You quipped.
He glared at you, "Just sit," He ordered and you rolled your eyes, plopping down onto the couch. The two of you sat there for a few moments, just glaring.
"Well?" You asked and he raised a brow, putting his arm on the back of the couch.
"What?" He wondered.
"What did you call me up here for?" You asked, hoping he would say something nice to you.
"You're not working yet." He replied and you smirked.
"I might as well just go back to my room then," You teased and pretended to get up, but he yanked you down by the wrist to kiss you, pressing his lips onto yours.
He trapped you in his arms as you exchanged deep kisses, "You've been waiting for this haven't you?" He asked and you huffed, "Seems to me it's you who's been waiting."
Just as he was about to push you down onto the couch, you heard the voice of Baba and Ota. "Boss, you up there?"
"Is Y/n up there too?"
You tried to push against Eisuke gently, but he wouldn't let you go. So you pulled away from the kiss and turned your head, causing him to scowl, but he finally let you go just as the two men entered.
"Knew it." Baba said and you looked over to them, "Hey." You called casually.
"Sorry to interrupt your fun," Baba laughed.
"You know, you never answered us before... but I wanna know. What made you two fall for each other?" Ota asked, surprised, "I think you two make a good couple, but I don't understand how it happened in the first place."
"If you tell us, maybe I can figure out Boss' secret to getting women," Baba joked.
You rolled your eyes, "From what I can see Baba, I don't think you have any issues."
"Aw. Thanks!" He beamed.
"That wasn't a compliment." You shut him down, causing Eisuke to smirk and Ota to laugh.
"Damn. Straight through the heart, beautiful." Baba put a hand to his chest and pretended to be sad.
"Honestly, Eisuke falling in love with her is the most suspicious thing of all here," Ota made a face.
"What the heck? You wanna say that again?" You asked and Ota looked panicked.
"No! That's not what I meant!"
You glared at him, "Explain."
"I just meant that... You know, you're so likable! But tough, too." He backtracked, trying to clarify what he meant.
"Whatever," Eisuke said.
"Maybe Eisuke is more loving in private!" Baba thought.
You then thought about how he basically never told you how he actually felt. "Stay with me," Is what he said, but he never really told you anything else. You wondered if he ever would.
The next day, you were rehearsing with the band for the hotel's 5th anniversary party at one of the restaurants stages. The restaurant was closed, so it provided you with space to practice. "Ezekiel, the drums are sounding a little rough at this part, maybe lighten it up a touch?" You suggested as you discussed with the band.
You then heard the shrieking of women nearby. You saw Eisuke walking with a group of women surrounding him, trying to coax him to join them at the pool or the restaurant for the evening. He doesn't say anything as he walks past, but he doesn't send them away. It irks you.
You were off that night so that you could keep your vocals on point for the party. Eisuke takes you to the hotel bar. "This place brigs back memories, huh?" He teases and you roll your eyes. "Don't start."
This was where Eisuke overheard Takahiro asking you out, once you were taking a break from being on stage. You were dressed to the nines, in a stunning, form-fitting green dress, which probably didn't help Eisuke's case when he did spot the scene.
"I'm glad the employees make use of the hotel," He commented noting that staff sometimes go there to drink. "What do you think of the bar?" He asked.
"It can be a little stuffy. Sometimes I come get a drink after I'm done with my sets, and it's a bit dark. An aquarium or something would open it up and add some ambient light." You explained.
"It is a little claustrophobic, now that you mention it. I'll mention it to the manager." Eisuke said, "See, you can be useful sometimes."
You raised a brow, "I didn't realize there was any doubt."
Just then, one of Eisuke's groupies approached, "Some of my friends from the business are over there. Why don't you join us for a drink?"
"We're busy," You sharply said, before she even had time to finish her sentence. She looked at you, with a cold smirk, "Come on, Eisuke! It'll be more fun that spending time with your lousy hotel singer."
"Excuse me?" You raise a brow. "Get lost," Eisuke said with a scowl. "What?" She stuttered.
"You're annoying. Disappear." He added. Causing her to mumble, "Another time the," and scurry away.
"I'm in a bad mood, now. Let's go somewhere else and drink." He said and got up to leave, causing you to follow.
He took you to the pool, opening up a bottle of champagne. "I can't believe you asked Takahiro to turn the lights on," You groaned.
"You still thinking about him?" Eisuke glared and you shook your head, "No, but you clearly did it on purpose."
"I don't know what you're talking about." he nonchalantly said and you rolled your eyes. "You just wanted to assert your dominance. Which is rude, by the way!"
Eisuke smirked slightly, "You were wise not to choose him."
"...I was already going to turn him down, and tell you how I felt." You explained, hesitantly.
"I like your dedicated personality." Eisuke said with a warm smile, a glass of champagne in his hand.
You smiled slightly back, dipping your toes in the water. "Do you guys come here a lot?"
"When we have time. Baba comes here on the lookout for women," He said and you laughed, "That sounds about right."
"Let's go," Eisuke said and you looked a little confused. "Already? We didn't even take a dip." You joked and he stared at you, although expecting you to do something. Feeling a burst of courage, you stood up, running over to one end while you took your shirt and pants off. "Hey!" He called as you giggled, running to the deep end and doing an elegant dive in.
You resurfaced in the middle of the pool, pushing your hair back. "Aren't you coming?" You asked and he just stared at you. You got to the edge of the pool, an leaned up as though you were gonna kiss him. Enticed by your appearance when you were undressed and wet, he leaned in. "Gotcha," You whispered against his lips and yanked him down into the pool.
You started laughing as he tried to recover from the surprise attack, "Now you've done it!" He yelled and ran after you in the water as you tried to swim away. You splashed him and he splashed you back while the two of you laughed. He finally grabbed you, and the playful kicks and nudges turned into heated caresses as he pressed his lips to yours.
"Not enough..." He said as he continued to touch and kiss you. He helped you get out of the pool with ease, and wrapped you up in a towel as he carried you to the elevator, taking it up to the penthouse.
--
It was the day of the anniversary party. You were all dressed up, with your hair perfectly curled and brushed out, makeup done to perfection and jewels adorned on your neck and ears. You were a form fitting red dress, with a slit going high up the side, and gold heels. You had red gloves that reached your elbows, and a ring placed on your finger overtop.
"It's Mr Ichinomiya!" Someone called and you turned to look, seeing Eisuke walking into the ballroom, surrounded by more women than before. Eisuke didn't even look at the staff that are welcoming the guests, and he didn't look at you either as he passed by. It irked you again.
Suddenly, Baba approached, "Hm? Y/n? You're working? I thought you were gonna be a guest?" He asked and you shook your head. "No, not this time."
"Alright, well. Do your best! I'm sure you'll be great!" Baba said and walked off with a wave, you waved back at him. You wished that Eisuke would approach and talk to you like he did. You watched Eisuke disappear into the crowd with his groupies.
You did your job as well as always, attracting a large crowd of both men and women, but it was the men who were ogling you and cheering whenever you hit a high note. At first, you had one eye on Eisuke, but once you got into your set, you forgot all about him, singing your upbeat jazz renditions of pop songs, and it was Eisuke that had one eye on you. That's right. You had groupies of your own. It irked him.
After the party, you lined up with the rest of the staff, thanking the guests for coming. Several men and women specifically wanted to say goodbye to you, and even the most handsome of the gentlemen was blushing up to his ears.
You acted politely, shaking hands and giving graceful and short curtsies. Then, as Eisuke was passing by you, another one of his groupies shoved past you, trying to get his attention, "Eisuke! Wait!" She called and you tripped over, falling into his arms. It was like when you first met, but this time, he wasn't indifferent and he looked down into your eyes as he held you.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" One of the groupies call, "Yeah! Get away from him now!" Another shouted, "You're going to get his suit dirty!"
All of a sudden, the two of you were surrounded by women, one of them looked like she was going to slap you. Hard. You got ready to catch her hand, but Eisuke pulles you close into him, protecting you with his broad back.
"Eisuke..." You said, surprised he didn't just ignore you again.
"Get away from her." His tone was hard, and strict, leaving no room for doubt. The women gasped.
"But Eisuke!" One of them shouted.
"That's right. It's time I make things clear."
He helped you stand up straight, and then wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you to him. "She's the only one allowed up in my penthouse."
"What?!" The groupies shouted. "Stop following me around!" He asserted, an you had never seen his face look as stern as it did in that moment.
"Why are you saying this?" one of the women looked like she was going to cry.
"Is she your girlfriend?!" Another yelled. "She's the one he took to the I.V.C., but I thought they broke up!" One said.
Eisuke started walking you to the elevator, as the lobby filled with chatter. "Eisuke please reconsider!"
"If we did anything wrong, we apologize!"
"Hey, watch it!" One of the guests shoved a groupie who shoved him. The women and guests started quarrelling and Eisuke turned around, "Silence! I'll ban anyone who causes trouble for the other guests from entering this hotel!"
"No!!" The women started crying and falling over as the staff rushed over to them to get them to stop. "Let's go." Eisuke said to you, putting his arm around your shoulder and heading for the elevator.
Just then, Ota and Baba slipped through the crowd. "Here come the busybodies." Eisuke sighed.
"Will you stop calling us that?" Ota asked. "I think it's pretty apt." You teased and Ota put a hand on his chest in mock hurt, "Et tu, Y/n?"
"What a waste, turning down all those women at once," Baba commented. "Only you would think that, Baba." You said.
"If you want them, go ahead and take them." Eisuke said. "Good for you, Baba. You've been wanting Eisuke's sloppy seconds, right?" Ota smiled.
"That's not respectful to women, Ota. I'm just going to rescue them with love." Baba replied.
"That's not respectful to women. We don't need rescuing." You teased.
"OOHHHH!" Ota celebrated, causing you to chuckle.
Baba then leaned in to whisper in your ear, "Boss looked super bored at the party. At first, I bet he wished he brought you."
You looked over at him a little surprised, "Then he kept one eye on you for getting all the attention of the men." Baba teased.
"Yeah, Y/n's about the only woman who can hold a conversation with Eisuke." Ota added.
"He doesn't look it, but he's pretty naive!" Baba continued. Eisuke rolled his eyes. "I can hear you, you know." He then turned his back on the elevator.
"We're going to your room." He said and you raised a brow, "What?"
"I can't stand it here. It's too loud." He replied.
"She's done for the day," Eisuke said to the manager who nodded with a bow. He started walking up the stairs.
"You'd better go," Ota said and you shrugged and followed him to your room. It was out of the way of the guest rooms, because it was outfitted with a small kitchen, but it was just a short walk.
"Small." He said when he first entered. "It's no penthouse." You shrugged, then gestured for him to sit down on a sofa. You then kicked off your heels and walked over to the kitchen. "I'm making some tea, do you want some?" You asked and he shrugged.
You brewed enough tea for the both of you and you squeezed lemon and honey into yours, bringing it over to the coffee table. "My dad sends me this tea. He bought it because someone told him it was good for the throat, so I drink it after work."
"Do you think I came here to talk about tea?" He asked.
"I'm just talking, you don't need to be an ass about it." You said as you sat on the floor tucking your legs underneath you as you began to sip, the warm liquid opening up your throat and refreshing your vocal chords.
It was silent for a few moments, and you debated asking him something based on what Baba said. "Why didn't you take me to the party?" You asked, looking down at your teacup. Your back was straight and your shoulders squared, only your eyes were cast downward, which told Eisuke you might've been a little upset.
"I was going to."
"Why didn't you?"
"...I don't know."
You didn't believe him, but you didn't wanna force him to say anything. "Why are you asking?" He thought.
You cleared your throat and brought the teacup up to your lips, "I was starting to think you enjoyed having all those women hanging off you," You sarcastically said, following your words up with a sip.
"As if. You'd be a fool for thinking that."
"Well, I can't help it. All you do is traipse around, ordering me to do this and that, dragging me around with you, acting like a complete ass... And to make matters worse you still haven't told me how you felt. Do you even love me?" You asked, earnestly, frustration coming across your features.
"Why do I have to say it?" He looked surprised.
"You're kidding," You glared, spitting the words.
"I made you mind. Can't you tell without me having to say it?" He asked, face blank."You went to all that trouble to have me say it, and you don't think I deserve to hear the words from you too? I hate to break it to you, but that's what a couple does!" You nearly shouted, your irritation finally releasing.
He kept quiet, looking off to the side. You sighed, "Forget it." You stood up, putting your cup down on the coffee table. "Where are you going?" He asked as he saw you putting your shoes on.
"Elsewhere." You said and started to leave but he grabbed you, yanking you to press up against him.
"Let go of me," You said, half-heartedly.
"Shut up." He turned you around and pressed your lips to his. He pulled away for a moment, "I love you." He finally said and you took in a sharp inhale.
"I love you, Y/n." He repeated, "Satisfied?"
"Not if you're going to follow it up like that," You shook your head as you whispered, your face completely serious. He sighed, "You think I'd keep around a woman I didn't love?"
You shrugged one shoulder, "Well, you're a sadist, so I thought the women you liked were just made to wait on you. But..." You brought your face close to his, "I'm not one of those women."
"I'm going to make it so you never say anything so annoying again." He smirked. He reached behind your back for the zipper of your dress, picking you up and lying you down on your bed.
"You want me to say it, right? That I love you." He whispered in your ear and you nodded. He saw your pupils get blown wide with lust, causing a soft expression and gentle smile to grace his face, "I had no idea those words were so effective."
He felt your skin as he slid your dress down, "I love you. I'll tell you all night long." His face still looked kind as he showed you just how much his words meant.
The next morning, you left your room with Eisuke, and you saw Baba walking with a big suitcase. "Morning!" He said cheerfully.
You called as you saw him.
"You're so lucky, Boss! You spent the night in Y/n's room? Y/n, invite me next time!" Baba beamed.
Eisuke glared at him and pushed you forward, "Let's go."
"Oooh, are you jealous?" Baba asked. You look over at Eisuke, wondering if he actually was. "Oh, he's the type to get jealous easily. Which is why he put on that little show of getting rid of his groupies after he saw you getting ogled by so many men at the party."
You smiled slightly and looked at Eisuke. "Anyway, I'm gonna be gone for work. Don't forget about me!" Baba said and waved.
"Take care." You waved back. All of a sudden Eisuke gives you a kiss. "Forget about him. Just concentrate on me. Got it?"
You hesitantly nod. "Got it."

eisuke ichinomiya x desi!reader headcanons !!
im so bored so here are some headcanons bec i love being desi
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
• he hates it when he has to wait and initially when you started dating you tried your best to be on time whenever he paged you but as your relationship progressed, its game over. whenever u have to go out, you ALWAYS leave at the the desi time and he slowly got so used to it, the one and only time punctual eisuke was late to events.
• eisuke has a massive sweet tooth so when you first made him kheer, he absolutely loved it although his only words were ‘not bad’. He definitely asks you to make it again so you feed him other ‘mithai’ (sweets in urdu/hindi) like gulab jamun, rasgullay, JALEBI etc and he loves it so much.
• you make him desi food from time to time and actually requests it like you him ask ‘eisuke what do you want for dinner today?’ and he just says ‘you made nihari last time, it was good. make it again’ he finds it very flavourful.
• he’s very familiar with other cultures since he’s a businessman and often interacts with foreign businessmen. he knows about the clothes and customs of your country. imagine eisuke in kurta or sherwani EISUKE IN A KURTA A BLACK KURTA AT THAT (i would actually die). Whenever you go to family events, you always wear traditional clothes and once eisuke is invited to them, he initially just wears his suit but after some time he starts to indulge you and actually wears your traditional clothes.
• he finds it very sexy when you talk and swear in your mother language.
• eisuke is multilingual (as its mentioned in the story) so if he doesnt know your mother langauge he would DEFINITELY learn and boy his pronunciation would be so good (thats a perfectionist for you)
• he says he hates bollywood movies because theyre so extra but thats a lie. whenever u play something like ‘kabhi khushi kabhi gham’ or ‘kal ho na ho’ he always watches it with you because he’s intrigued but ALWAYS says ‘this movie is so bad i wonder why you waste time watching this stuff’
• you go around singing bollywood songs or songs in your mother tongue around the penthouse and he just enjoys it so much but he definitely wont say it out loud
• eisuke was FLABBERGASTED when you told him or rather showed him a desi wedding like why is everyone wearing such fancy clothes ??? and he’s even more surprised when he finds out there’s actually three days to a wedding and even more pre wedding events.
• he loves it when you wear mehndi on your hands, he sees mehndi as something that adorns your hand and whenever u apply it, he brings your hand up to his face and smells it because he loves thr scent.
• when you told him about all your family and by that i mean family on your mother’s and father’s side, he has to do a double take because why the fuck do you have SO many cousins? he’s trying to keep up but there’s just so many.
• your parents love him more than you. they literally said it to your face ‘oh my, such a handsome boy, how did you ever end up with our incompetent daughter’ you cannot convince me that this wont happen.
• baba asks you to teach him bhangra and other desi dance steps and you, ota and baba have the time of your life dancing to chammak challo and nach punjaban in the penthouse lounge and eisuke just looks at you like youre comitting a crime
a little something for myself bec im a self indulgent bitch (not exactly a desi headcanon but i wanted to add this)
• every eid you spend with him, he makes sure to spoil you thoroughly. he gives you so much eidi (literally) like he straight up handed you car keys once and went ‘eid mubarak ___, i know you’ve been waiting for your eidi’ and then he just smirks while you think what did you do to deserve so much. he enjoys eid festivities with you and eid ul fitr is his favourite eid.

「PERIODS」 KBTBB
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OBEY ME VER. | MASTERLIST | TAGLIST
➤ Characters: Aihara Hikaru, Ayase Koji, Baba Mitsunari, Hatter Rhion, Hishikura Shuichi, Ichinomiya Eisuke, Inui Ryosuke, Luke Foster, Kisaki Ota, Kishi Mamoru, Oh Soryu, Samejima Koichi
➤ Tags: established relationships, gn!reader with ovaries, mentions of adult activities, period blood and accessories, probably ooc because I haven’t completed everyone’s routes yet (done at least one season for everyone but Rhion, who I am doing next)
➤ A/N: Firstly, I am so late to this series (and Voltage games in general). Secondly, let’s just consider this a shit post. 😂 I wasn’t planning to post anything else like this but... my mind wandered and this was the result. 😂😅
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He either doesn’t know what a period is or is a little confused by the concept. Regardless, he gets really concerned when he finds spots of blood on your shared bed sheets.
↳  Rhion, RYOSUKE
He doesn’t mention the blood left on your shared bed sheets when you started your period a little earlier than usual. If it isn’t much, he will just let you sleep and deal with it when you wake up. He carries you into the bathroom, where he has an warm bath waiting for you, and tells you to take your time. Meanwhile, he strips the sheets from the bed and deals with the cleaning since he knows how you usually feel during that time of the month.
↳ Ayase, BABA, Ryosuke, Samejima, SORYU
Alternatively, he waits for you to wake up, but you have to change the sheets. Regardless of the reason, he leaves it up to you.
↳ EISUKE, Hikaru, Luke, MAMORU, RHION
He wakes you up when he notices, when you do spot, and makes you change the sheets immediately.
↳ OTA, Shuichi
He goes out for you, during that time of the month, when you need more period products. He never complains about such a task.
“Do you still want that brand?” He asks, surprising you with how casual he is about it.
When you ask him he frowns. Embarrassing? He doesn’t understand why it would be. Picking up your period products is just another task to him. He is also your boyfriend so this is just something he naturally should be able to do for you without it being a whole thing.
↳ BABA, Luke, RYOSUKE, Samejima, SHUICHI, Soryu
He’s hesitant to go buy period products for you. He may complain about it being embarrassing, but he will do it every time you ask. Even asking when he’s out and he knows it’s that time. His cheeks are as a red as a tomato but it’s for you so he endures.
↳ Ayase, Hikaru, MAMORU, OTA, Rhion
Him? Go buy you period products? Pfft... He has people for that.
↳ EISUKE, Soryu
Why are you concerned about him not being okay fetching period products for you? He’s a doctor, a back alley doctor at that. Something so simple and mundane is nothing to him.
↳ LUKE
When you’re having particularly bad cramps, he’ll tell you go lay down and pampers you a little. Brings you some medication, some water, a heating pad, whatever you need. He’ll also lay down with you if he has the time, his hands slipping under the fabric of your clothes to massage your aching body.
↳ Ayase, BABA, Eisuke, Hikaru, RYOSUKE, Samejima, Soryu
He won’t go out of the way to pamper you, but he will gave you massages while the two of you are curled up together on the couch or bed. Don’t bring attention to it though. He’ll most likely stop the moment you point it out.
↳ Eisuke, Hikaru, MAMORU, OTA, Shuichi
He makes a joke about solving your monthly problem for nine months.
↳ Baba, Eisuke, OTA
He isn’t joking. He will do it. Just tell him and he will get started.
↳ EISUKE, Luke, I lowkey see Shuichi too but that could be just me
Want to have sex while on your period? Hell yeah. He doesn’t care. As long as your comfortable then he’s all for it.
↳ Baba, EISUKE, Luke, MAMORU, Samejima
Goes the extra mile to make it easier on you. Grabs towels to place underneath you, carries you afterward to the bathroom where he gently lowers you into a nice warm bath, etc.
↳ BABA, Hikaru, RYOSUKE, Samejima, Soryu
Want to have sex while on your period? ...I guess? While the blood doesn’t bother him necessarily, he’s just concerned about how you might feel during, the mess, etc.
↳ Ayase, Hikaru, Ryosuke, SORYU
It’s Friday, my dudes, which means it’s sexy time and no period is going to ruin your routine.
↳ SHUICHI
He buys you sweets and such each time because he knows they make you feel better, even if it’s only a small fraction.
↳ Ayase, BABA, Hikaru, RYOSUKE

If you're requests are open I'd love to see some angsty kbtbb, especially w eisuke. Sorry if it's vague I've never requested anything before. Hope you're having a good day :)
okay, i can’t figure out who this is. i’m debating on writing two options: unrequited love, where younger reader is crushing hard on eisuke but he can’t return her love because of both age and he’s just not into her like that. or traumatized reader who has a trauma response to maybe a fight, or something along those lines.

how many shots it would take me to sleep with each bidder
eisuke: (4) would need.. just a few shots to be able to deal with his bullshit long enough to sleep with him but it would most definitely be worth it.
soryu: (3) confidence shots. i would let this man do anything to me.
baba: (1) literally dont need to take a shot before doing this lovely man but i just feel like taking a shot for it.
ota: (7) is he handsome? yes. is he also annoying? yes. i would not be able to put up with his koro thing unless i had a hefty amount of alcohol in my system.
mamoru: (2) i'd jump this man's bones the second i had the chance. i think two shots would be the perfect amount to be just a little tipsy to put up with him but LORD i love this man.
hikaru: (3) listen, i know this man is all shy but i feel like he is a freak in the sheets and i am down to experience that. i'd need a few shots to not be all shy and awkward myself.

Soryu Oh -Bully Me (Part 2)
Okay so I’m back again. Here’s a part 2.
This is a mix of two different requests.
One person who wanted a part two and a prompt-list request.
28- Shhh, be quiet. We can’t be too loud, babe.
69- Bend over this counter. I need to fill you up.
98- Sometimes it’s nice to just stargaze. It calms me down a lot.
101- Hm…why don’t you sit on my lap and tell me what you want.
110- That’s daddy to you, sweetheart.
READ PART 1 HERE
Leggo.
...
You’re gonna let me bully you ....
And bully you, he did.
Pressed up against the cold wall of his room completely bare, Soryu held your frail body in his arms. His lips feverishly claimed yours.
You work uniform was tossed who-knows-where and you undergarments were just random masses of fabric at this point.
“S-soryu! I have to get back to work.” you tried to express. He, who had been frantic, laughed in response.
“Not a chance. You’re mine today, maid.” he snarled playfully. He undid his tie and slung it around your neck, fastening it into his signature Full Windsor knot. You were now wearing nothing but a silk lavender neck tie. The way he called you that name. Maid...it made you feel so dirty.
“Maid.”
Soryu had gotten your attention. He was now sitting on the edge of his bed. He was leaned back, propped up on one arm. “Get over here.”
You could only smile. Every day since that incident he hadn’t gone back on his word. He etched his mark on every area of your skin in the form of bruises and bites. You quickly made your way over, only to have your forbidden lover trace his fingertips up your sides.
“Hm...Why don’t you sit on my lap,” he began, pausing to drink in your innocence. “And tell me what you want.”
Before you could answer. a harsh rapping against the door startled you both.
“AYE, SORYU. WHERE’S THE MAID!?” Baba’s voice called from the other side.
As if reading your mind, Soryu grabbed your arm. No way was he letting you put your clothes back onto clean up after whatever mess his accomplice made. In another swift motion, Soryu’s crisp dark grey blazer was wrapped around you.
You heard the door swing open and you felt your heard drop. You felt him crash his hot mouth over yours. The way his bed was angled, who ever walked in would be able to see your side profiles. So when Baba walked in, he was welcomed by a gun faces the door. His free hand firmly held you by the back of your head, still claiming your kiss, tongue and all.
“Woah!!” Baba couldn’t comprehend what he was looking at. You, the main were ass naked, on Soryu. The mobster broke the kiss, a thin line of saliva coming between you. He turned his head to glare at the intruder.
“Leave before I blow your head off.” he snapped.
“Damn. And here I thought you were a stiff. Nice legs Y/N.” Baba winked before Soryu could consider actually shooting his ‘friend’. The door slammed again and you could only sigh.
“I should go. I still have to clean Mr. Ichinomyia’s room.” you begrudgingly stood up and walked over to your uniform. You would just have to go without your bra and panties.
“I’m gonna kill him.” he sighed. “Come back later?”
“Mr.Oh...you know as well as I our relationship is purely professional.” you sauntered past him. Ever since then, you had gotten bold. Very bold.
He loved it.
“Damnit, Y/N...you’re killing me.”
...
You were exhausted. You had been dodging those damn bidders all day. It was unbearable. It was nightfall by the time you had finished everything. You threw the mop down, wishing you could snap it in half.
You didn’t know what it was, but you were content with yourself when you used your keycard to go to Soryu’s penthouse floor. You were sure he was asleep anyways but it was worth checking.
When the elevator doors opened, you saw Soryu standing by the balcony. “Mr. Oh?”
The usually collected man turned in surprise. “Y/N! What are you doing here?”
“I was finished with my work. Just thought I’d let you know before I head home. “ you pulled the excuse out of your ass. “You’re still awake?”
“Yes. Sometimes it’s nice to just stargaze. It calms me down a lot. “  he shrugged. “Especially being around those morons....Come here.” He shut the curtains behind him and you took a step forward. The elevator doors shut behind you. “Did any of them mess with you?”
“...Baba told Ota about our little meeting.” you hugged yourself, suddenly feeling cold. “Didn’t let me hear the end of it.”
“I thought as much.” he sighed. “I’m gonna kill those two! Did they touch you?”
You instantly shook your head, which made him smile. “Good, come here. I’m glad I wasn’t there, I probably would have done something to you right in front of them...”
“Oh...Like what?” you asked, tilting your head to the side. With another smirk, he marched up to you, reaching under your skirt to rest one of his hands on your ass. “You’re still not wearing any...”
“I didn’t have time to change.”
There was darkness in his eyes. His normally stone cold expression was replaced by something you couldn’t read. He raised his arm slighting and held his finger out to the kitchen counter, his free hand unlacing his tie.”
“You’re going to bed over, hike that skirt up, and hold your arms behind your back.”
“Mr. Oh...” you breathed feeling your insides twist.
“That’s daddy to you, sweetheart. “

Strip Poker - Soryu x MC
He was normally amazing at poker. He could confuse even Eisuke with his poker face, when he put his mind to it. So, when you had suggested playing strip poker together in your hotel suite, during one of Soryu’s rare days off, he had figured he would have no trouble getting you naked and flustered for him. And that was the best prize for him to win, was it not?
The first few hands had passed without any difficulty; of course he had won, causing you to lose your shoes and tights in quick succession. But he had made a mistake in setting up the game’s rules: he had given you the freedom to choose which item of clothing to take off.
For the next hand, after a little thought, you had thrown him a coy smile and removed your blouse. Soryu had been stunned: that seemed like something that he would have needed to work his way up to, wasn’t it? Shouldn’t you have taken off an earring? Or even your hair accessory? Getting rid of your shirt felt like too big of an early win.
It wasn’t until he lost the next few hands that Soryu realized your tactic. The lacy bra you had on was an absolute distraction. Relieved of his socks and shoes, Soryu remembered that you found lace itchy, and were clearly only wearing it for his benefit.
And he certainly appreciated the gesture. The sweet curves of your breasts gently cupped in the delicately spun fabric-
“I won again, Soryu!”
Blinking rapidly, Soryu’s eyes shot to your cards, placed before you on the table, then at his own, still in his hand. He had nothing. He didn’t even have a proper hand.
“…you’re a clever girl,” he muttered coolly, but you didn’t miss the light smile on his lips.
You also very happily watched him remove his tie, even taking the opportunity to open the top buttons of his shirt. His sharp collar bones flirted with your line of sight; maybe you were spending too much time around Luke, but Soryu really did have a nice neck…
To your chagrin, you found yourself losing the next hand. He was onto you. There had to be another way to distract him. You had thought that flaunting one of Soryu’s favourite bras had been enough, but clearly your lover was a tougher nut to crack than you had hoped.
“You know…” you said slowly, thinking out loud, “If I recall correctly, this bra came in a set.”
You had Soryu’s attention. What were you getting at? You could almost hear the gears in his mind turning.
You revelled in the pink tint that spread across Soryu’s face as you maneuvered under your skirt, shimmying this way and that, until finally you placed in his hands a lacy pair of panties that clearly matched the bra he had been admiring.
Both of you could see a little damp patch in the delicate undergarment.
“…are we done playing, Soryu? I think I’ve won.”
The grin he gave you before sweeping you off your feet to carry you to bed was the perfect answer.

Soryu Oh - Goodnight Part 2
Tumblr media
A/n: i reread this after a couple notifications and I thought why stop at two parts. Make that three parts, plus if I only had 2 the second would be incredibly long. So enjoy. We stan one Chinese mafia boss.
The gentle shifting of paperwork accompanied the dull silence in the Ice Dragon’s office. Occasionally he’d find the pen in his hands faltering as his mind recollected a fleeting memory. He could still remember the red tint of her skin and the way her breath had hitched as his fingers had rubbed circles into the skin of her thighs. If he tried hard enough – if he concentrated enough, he could still feel the warmth that at one point covered his lips.
A wobbly sigh fell from the man; he pinched the bridge of his nose in a desperate attempt to dispel the memory. Now was hardly the time to remember the way she clung to his shoulders, or her soft fingers in his hair. If the others could see him now, he’d be the running joke for the next few auctions. His icy façade would be reduced to dust with just a few quips from Baba and Eisuke.
“Mr Oh?” Came a timid voice, he could barely believe his ears as he jumped in his seat. His eyes flicked to the door. Upon confirmation that the door was indeed still closed and a softly spoken maid had not seen a grown man jump in his seat like a teenager being caught on the wrong type of website by their mother, he released his breath. An almost inaudible chuckle sprung from the recesses of his throat. “Mr Oh, are you in there?”
“Ah come in” Oh coughed; his cheeks briefly dusting red at the notion that he’d failed to respond. Soryu’s eyes – to his frustration – followed her form much like a predator. In every step she took he remembered the bar as she leaned so close to him that the lavender in her scent had embedded itself into the fabric of his suit jacket. In the way she greeted him with a soft smile, he remembered the way she had laughed through the corridors and the way she had looked at him as she pushed the hair from his forehead. “To what do I owe this pleasure” He announced. For a minute the Ice Dragons’ boss found himself showing his gratitude to whichever benevolent god allowed his voice to stay firm.
“Eisuke wanted me to ask you to come to the Penthouse, apparently you weren’t answering your phone” Her words graced the air, almost as though every syllable were a tiny ballerina dancing the swan lake. Soryu took a moment to flick his gaze to the screen of his phone. The device hadn’t rung since morning when Mamoru had confirmed that Inui had been released with yet another caution. Eisuke hadn’t requested him. He’d have known. The man’s ringtone had been set to a deafening noise that closely resembled a chihuahua. “You’ve got a nicely decorated office; in fact, this whole building wasn’t what I imagined.”
“What did you imagine?” Soryu queried with a quirk of his eyebrow. He gestured for her sit as he slowly lifted himself from his own seat. “Tea?” He added.
“Please. I guess I imagined guns and blood everywhere, burly men with scars and tattoos. Not…” She trailed off deep in thought as she watched Soryu busy his hands with the tea brewing. He could see in her small winces that his tea brewing skills weren’t the best, but he’d be damned if he asked her to that sort of thing outside of her workplace.
“Not golden retrievers and Labradors” He jested. The comment brought a half-stifled laugh from her, and he revelled in the way her eyes squinted in amusement. In all his years Soryu had made few people laugh, instead he treated people with a respectable distance. This was the first time he genuinely found himself wanting to hear someone’s amusement. He wanted to make her cackle until tears spilled from her eyes.
“That’s probably the easiest way to describe Ryosuke and Samejima, Mr Oh. Both fiercely loyal and friendly” She responded. Soryu froze for a second as he lifted both cups of tea. In her drunken state she had no problem calling him by his name and yet. She’d returned to the formality of his last name. He hadn’t felt further from the woman. The closeness they had shared had been shattered that night. “I forgot to apologise and thank you for lending me your suite the other night. I did want to thank you the next time you came to the penthouse, but Mr Ichinomiya said you’d been too busy to come”
Soryu’s stomach dropped in an instant. His cup tilting just enough for a dash of amber liquid to fly over the edge. He felt the pain almost immediately as he jumped from his seat. The cup finding its way quickly to the table.
“Are you ok?” Her worried voice filled his ears as he let the sensation pass. He peeled the material of his shirt – and once again thanked the benevolent gods – that he wore a black shirt. He nodded ferociously his voice to unsteady in his throat. “Is that the time? Eisuke will kill me if I’m late to get him his afternoon coffee”
“I’ll take you” Soryu found himself instantly speaking. A silent plea for her agreement. He wanted to spend a little more time with the woman, before Eisuke had her running errands until the balls of her feet ached. He couldn’t stop his chest from aching at her use of Eisuke’s name.
“I couldn’t, I interrupted your work” She countered. Soryu glanced at the long since forgotten paperwork, a few signatures and contracts could wait. Everything could wait if it meant five more minutes in her presence.
“I just finished before you came in.” Oh lied. His professional smile graced his features momentarily and he was thankful that they hadn’t spent enough time together for her to be able to differentiate. “Not to mention Eisuke”
“Well, if you wouldn’t mind…” The maid trailed off, her hand flying to her pocket at the aggravating beeping noise. “Speak of the devil” She whistled. Soryu found himself frowning, his hand unconsciously tightening. “We should probably get going”
--
Every jostle of the car sent Soryu’s mind reeling; every turn her body would tap at his and he’d be thrown back to that night, and to all the lonely hours where he had fantasised. He hadn’t been aware until they had pulled up at the hotel that he had been holding his breath. Or that he had unconsciously leaned further towards her soothing nature.
A hand remained hoovering at her lower back as he guided her through the hotel towards the penthouse. Soryu’s eyes had noted the ways her colleagues had cowered slightly at the sight of him; only to have relaxed as they turned their gaze to the happily smiling maid. Even as they walked into the Spades Room Soryu walked behind her, his hand reaching for any door as she walked in.
“Sor” Baba’s voice sang as he spotted the mafia boss. Baba’s gaze hadn’t missed Soryu’s subtle chivalry, Soryu could see it in the way the thief nodded with a smirk at him. “Mamoru has been tirelessly looking for you”
“He’s right, Kishi hasn’t slept since we had drinks. He kept moaning about the hassle you’ve been bringing him.” Ota’s voice boomed from the opposite side. Soryu rolled his eyes; his form moving away from the entrance, the maid having long since abandoned him to do her work.
The room settled into a comfortable hum of conversation between Ota, Baba, and the maid. Kishi remained silently glaring at the thief and painter from his position by the window. A cigarette hung loosely between his teeth as he casually acknowledged Soryu. The Ice Dragon frowned, before situating himself on the sofa. Soryu’s gaze unconsciously followed after the girl. Her figure gliding across the penthouse with as much ease as a swan on water.
“I must say, I thought you’d have succumbed to temptation before I had to call you here” Eisuke’s voice echoed across the sofa. His ever observant eye had watched the Ice Dragon – his friend – from the second he had entered with Ichinomiya property. Soryu shot him an icy glare. “Please, as much as I enjoy teasing you, I actually called you here for business.”
Eisuke whistled, the young maid spinning on her heal a coffee cup in hand. Her jaw tightened and a glint of fear flickered in her eyes as she awaited Eisuke’s commands.
“Coffee” Eisuke barked. She immediately spun herself back around, hands busy brewing Eisuke’s coffee. Both men watched. Only one held a menacing smile as his dull eyes moved over his new source of entertainment. Ichinomiya had thought about the multitude of scenarios between the maid and the mafia boss. He’d spent far too much time putting the pieces in place in order to test the Ice Dragon himself. “It was tempting right. To cross the boundaries again, after one taste it’s easy to get addicted. I’m certainly addicted to her coffee brewing skills.” Eisuke uttered.
Soryu clenched his jaw. His features adopting a stoic mask. A mask he hoped Eisuke wouldn’t break beyond repair.
“For half a million I’ll give her to you for a day” Eisuke remarked. “To do with as you please, perhaps you can finish what you started. For one whole day what’s mine could be yours”
“What business do you have?” Soryu questioned. Eisuke chuckled.
“Ever the businessman, the girl has eyes on her. I’m surprised she made it to your office without being snatched. Don’t glare, Kishi was waiting in the background” Eisuke explained. Lavender filled his nostrils as he blinked. He watched as his coffee was placed before him before the maid handed Eisuke his.
“Thank you” Soryu uttered. “If you know this, why hasn’t the useless detective done something already”
“I don’t care what happens to her.” Eisuke reprimanded “I’m telling you because we’re friends. Not to mention what happened between you both the other day. She doesn’t remember it was you”
“Give her to me” Soryu growled. For a second the air stilled, all conversation froze as Soryu’s anger flared. Eisuke’s eyes remained bored as he watched Soryu’s outburst. “The Ice Dragons can protect her; I’ll find the people who want to get to you”
“Relax Soryu. I’ve sorted it. It was too good an opportunity to tease you to pass up” Eisuke smirked. Soryu sunk into his seat, relief flooding him as he closed his eyes. He was regretting showing his face.
“Eisuke, I’ve finished cleaning, if you’ll excuse me.” The maid announced; Soryu lingered on her use of Eisuke’s name. “Goodbye Mr Oh”
The pair watched her retreat. Eisuke casting an amused smile at his friend.
“Still Mr Oh, Sor.” Baba beamed. “I wonder why you’re the only one she calls by their last name.”
“Shut it” Soryu grumbled.

“Is that really what you want?”
The petrified female watched as the scene of the psychological horror turned ghastly and the greenhouse was set on fire. She was aware that she wasn’t in the right state of mind to watch such things but she needed something to get her mind off things, rather someone.
A distant bang in the quiet night freaked her a little and she jumped in her seat on the couch. She swung her head away from the movie she was watching, a movie that was supposed to be a distraction. She gazed out of the large windows in her solemn house to find the source of the sound but the only thing she could see were the dark, towering trees. Her house, her parent’s vacation house, was stranded from life, far in the deepest woods. Hearing noises was not unusual, but this was different, and it sparked curiosity in her. She wanted to find out but it was like her body wasn’t obeying her despite her mind reasoning logically to make sure she was safe.
Just as she thought against it, she noticed the forgotten coffee mug, previously warm, in her hand. Heaving a sigh, she got up and made her way to the kitchen when she heard it again. This time, however, it was closer than before. She felt something that she hadn’t felt in a while, pure fear. She peeked through the drawn blinds and then she saw it. The silhouette of a man. She immediately felt a sense of deja vu.
Stumbling backwards, the mug slipped from her hand and broke into several sharp fragments when it made contact with the maple wood floor.
An audible gasp escaped her mouth. ‘This isn’t really happening, is it?’
Just as she was debating with herself, the doorbell rang, like the very first time she met him.
Paying no mind to the shards of broken mug on the floor, she tiptoed to the front door, eyes bloodshot and hands sweaty. What she didn’t expect was the vacant porch when she peered through the peephole.
“I know you’re here, (Y/N). I just wanna see my precious girl, won’t you let me in?” The voice was no more than a familiar whisper to her and she recognised it instantly. There’s no way she wouldn’t. She felt her blood run cold. Frozen to the spot, she blankly stared at the door when a knock was heard. Not the door, but the window. Another wave of shivers swirled through her body, then again a moment of silence.
“You won’t just leave me hanging like this, now would you? Come on, let me in,” But he was already in. The voice was close - dangerously close. She knew it was coming from inside the house.
Something in her hazy mind snapped and she dashed to the safety of her room. She climbed up the stairs hastily, taking three steps at a time. Tears of frustration, humility, uncertainty and woe dripped down her flushed cheeks as she slammed the door behind her and locked it.
“My dear, lovely (Y/N), hiding won’t do you any good…” The man pronounced again as he took the first step of the stairs, a sinister grin playing on his chiselled face.
There she was, in the closet, clutching a multifunction knife in her trembling hands. The knife he gave her.
“Listen to me, (Y/N). I’m aware I can’t be with you at all times and because of me, your life is constantly in danger. I can’t stand to see you hurt, my love. So please, promise me, if you ever feel like someone’s threatening you and I'm not there, ask the guys for help. They’ll be more than happy to help out. You’re their favourite maid, you know?” Winking, he grabbed the frail girl’s hand.
“Mitsu, I know, I believe you and I love you so much. No matter what happens, I'll always love you. Now and forever.” They shared a kiss under the moonlight and all of a sudden, Baba pulled out something from his jacket pocket. A multifunction knife to be precise and placed it in her hands. “What am I gonna do with this? Stab Erika?”
“I mean, no one said you couldn’t. Anyway, it’s for you to fend off bad guys. No stabbing Erika if you don’t want to spend a good few years in jail. And besides, I've had this on me for as long as I can remember. It’s one of my most prized possessions and it’s yours now.”
She never thought that she’d ever use it against Mitsunari himself. It was too much for her to handle. That’s when she heard a bang.
“Come out come out, (Y/N)! You can’t hide from me forever,”
Despite the hot stuffiness inside the closet, cold sweat trickled down her back. She hoped that it was just a bad dream. That she would wake up in her bed, birds chirping in the broad daylight as the day brings about a streak of happiness in her dreary life. But it was happening and she was sure she wouldn’t be able to escape this.
She flinched when she heard the door of her room slam open.
“There you are!” The fedora wearing man said cheerfully upon entering the room and clicked his tongue when his ex-girlfriend was nowhere in sight.
“Come on, (Y/N). You know I'm not in the mood to play hide and seek with you.” She could hear him pacing around the room in search of her, the familiar clacking of his leather shoes on the wooden floor. He used to do that quite often when he was lost in thought, pace around his penthouse suite when something troubled him. However the footsteps got closer and she knew he was in the bathroom when she heard another doorknob being turned. She shuddered, keeping her breathing at a minimum in fear of him finding out her hiding location.
“Hm, not here either. Guess I'll see in the opposite room.”
She released a sigh of relief when she thought the male was gone, but jerked when the door of the vanity unit was opened violently.
“Aw, I didn’t know you’re so petite! How did you manage to fit in there, my love?”
She couldn’t reply, all she could hear was the thumping of her heart against her chest, afraid it’ll burst right out.
“Are you so happy to see me that you’re at a loss for words?” There it was, that smirk. “Come on out, you’ll hurt your head in there.” He said as he got up from his crouching position on the bathroom floor.
She didn’t want to, so why did her body comply to his words and not her own? The pocket knife was still tightly clutched in her slender hands, her eyes wide and breathing ragged. Mitsunari gazed at her petrified face, expectantly.
“Wh-Why are you here, Baba?” She managed to choke out those words and raised her eyes to his face. The face she loved waking up to every morning. It felt so foreign to her now.
“Damn, the last time I checked, we were on first name basis.” He feigned mock innocence and clutched his jacket where his heart was pulsating.
“Why are you here?” She asked again, with a bit more stability to her tone.
He chuckled despite himself and swiftly grabbed a fist full of the young female’s hair on the back of her head.
“‘Why’, you ask? I know you know I love you too much to be away from you. You made me so lonely for the past three months, (Y/N). Do you realise how worried I was when I couldn't find you anywhere? Who knew you’d be here of all places. You managed to hide really well from me!” His forceful grip tightened and she closed her eyes in pain.
“Who told you I'm here, Baba?” She was sure that no one except Ota knew of her location. So how did he-
“Ah, you underestimate me, my love. Besides, Lupin knows everything.” With that, he winked at her. His signature wink. If she wasn’t in this perilous situation, she would’ve admitted that she missed his teasing wink. But she was more curious about how he got here. There was no way he could’ve known even if he was a master thief and Ota wouldn’t rat her out.
“But how- I mean, that’s not possible.”
“I’m offended that you would rather depend on Ota than me, pretty lady. He wouldn’t even budge and refused to tell me about your whereabouts even when he knew I was distraught with you. Alas, he was a very good man. I genuinely considered him my best friend.” Considered?
“Wh-What do you mean, Baba?” The crack in my voice was painfully obvious and I noticed something on Baba’s off-white neck tie that I didn’t before. A patch of red.
Blood.
No. She refused to believe it. He didn’t- he couldn’t.
“He had the audacity to call my girlfriend his koro. But he’s not an obstacle in our lives anymore. It’s been settled. No one can bother us now.” His face took on a more satisfied form.
What is he saying- Ota can’t be dead. He just can’t. But the look in Baba’s eyes said otherwise and for the second time in the past five years, she didn’t recognise the man in front of her. That’s when a familiar memory played in her mind,
“Baba’s not the man you know him to be.” The petite woman turned to look at Eisuke when he addressed her after she finished telling the auction managers about a date Mitsunari took her on the day before.
“What do you mean, Mr. Ichinomiya?” Confused, she cocked her head to the side.
“Do you really believe a man like that would genuinely care? Baba knows how to deceive someone better than any man in this room. He’s constantly wearing a mask, a facade.” This time, it was Soryu who spoke up. “We’ve known him longer than you have. We’re not saying this to ruin your relationship with him or something, but be wary. He’s a nightmare dressed like a daydream,” That was the most amount of words she had Soryu speak at a time but she realised that no one denied his statement.
Is this what Eisuke and Soryu meant? Was it her that let it get this far?
Another stream of fresh, hot tears flowed down her cheeks.
“What happened to us, Baba? When did we become like this?” She wasn’t sure if she’s asking herself or the manic man in front of her. At that moment, she saw it. Every single moment she spent with him. Him making her pasta when she was tired. Kissing each other goodbye when she left for her work. Holding each other when either of them felt insecure. The list was never-ending.
She kept zoning in and out of reality when she thought about him gradually changing. Coming home late, speaking rather harshly with her, frequent mood swings. Hell, she even smelled another woman’s scent on him. She only kept quiet about it for the sake of her relationship with the said man. It wasn’t that bad when he started calling her names. Sure, she was surprised that Baba of all people would do that. Dismissing it as him just having a bad day. But that’s when it started getting worse. Toxic possession ignited in Baba. Controlling what she could wear and what she couldn’t. Friends she was allowed to meet, what she could eat, to the point where she wasn’t even allowed to see the bidders. That wasn’t the Baba she knew.
She had confronted him about it one night, eerily similar to this one. Baba had just gotten to the penthouse from God knows where. She wanted- no, needed to know why he was being this way. Maybe it was impulsive, but Baba found the woman, his girlfriend, severely annoying when she questioned him about his behaviour for the past four months and he did what she never in a million years imagined he would do. He raised his hand and it clashed with (Y/N)’s left cheek, causing her to reel back and fall flat on her butt. But that’s not what appalled her. It was Baba’s blank face with not a trace of remorse on it. And he left. He left her there bawling her eyes out which led her to seek help from Ota — the second closest person to her after Baba.
“Shh, don’t cry. I know how you must feel. It’ll be alright. It will be just us from now on. You don’t need to worry about anything. Just let it go, my love.” Strange, in that moment, his voice was soft. It was the same voice he used to lull her to sleep. She would be lying if she said she hadn’t missed it. She recalled the first time she met. It was in this very house.
“Hold up, I'm coming! Jeez, it’s like 2 a.m. right now, who the hell is so impatient?” She grumbled as she peeked through the peephole and sceptically opened the front door.
“Um, who are you?” She queried the stranger as he turned around, his silky brown hair tousled by the wind. His leg appeared to be wounded, his pants wet with his own blood as he sat there on the step.
“Do you happen to have a first aid box?”
This was it. She couldn’t take it anymore. She needed answers. The past three months tormented her enough.
“Why?” She raised her head properly for the first time that night and gazed into his auburn eyes.
“Hm?”
“Why did you hit me that night? Why did you stop talking about things with me? You knew how much I cared about you. How much I loved you! Do you have any idea how devastated I was when you raised your hand against me? That wasn’t the Baba I knew! The Baba I knew was kind, sweet, clumsy and the biggest dork. Please, tell me. Where did it all go awry?” Tears continued to roll down her cheeks like hot streams.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you, pretty lady. Why would a gentleman do that? You know I love you! I was just having a bad night, that’s all.” The man in front of her provided explanations but that’s not what she wanted to know.
“I saw your face that night, Baba. You looked at me as if I was a pest. You called me a whore, a stupid maid. You bastard, for all I know, you cheated on me too!” The words echoed off the bathroom walls. She was struggling to catch her breath when she realised it had gotten eerily quiet. She didn’t expect the face she was met with when she looked up.
Baba’s face was devoid of any emotion. However his eyes had a sinister glint in them. Something she came to fear in the course of a few months. He savagely grabbed her hair again and pushed her head back, staring intensely into her eyes.
“Bastard, huh? When did you learn to talk back like that? If you hadn’t been such a meddlesome bitch, I never would have hit you. I knew leaving you alone with the other guys was a mistake. Seems like they had a really bad influence on you. I will settle scores with them when I take you back and claim you as mine again, my love.”
She felt like her hair would be ripped off from her head. All she could do was helplessly stare back into his eyes as he caressed her cheek. This was it. Her strength left her body, the incidents of the night came crashing on her body and her body threatened to give up on her. She was done running away when the outcome was gonna be the same no matter what she did. Her mind was shutting down as she succumbed to his touch.
If I keep running away I'm gonna hurt the people around me.
Giving into temptation, her eyes fluttered close.
This is gonna be an endless cycle so I might as well stop it.
She felt a pair of firm arms wrap around her frail limp body right before she hit the ground and she heard the thief say in the softest, most soothing voice she had never heard before,
“It’s okay, we’ll be together from now on forever. No one will be able to seek us out. We’ll live without any restraints. Who do we even need besides each other anyway, right, my love?”

Title: "Till Death do us Part"
Characters: Soryu Oh
A/N: This is my first KBTBB fic. I'd like to thank @voltage-vixen for encouraging me to write it. @soryuwifeyxx, I hope you like this .
Written by @rikumorimachisgirl
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sat by the window of your bedroom in the Employees Dormitory of the Tres Spades, watching the rain as it drenched the earth in the early hours of the day. Your gaze shifted from the window to the calendar on the wall, and you felt your chest tighten when you read the date today.
You sighed and silently cursed yourself for letting this affect you. But then, how could it not - it was a year ago today that you took his last name and became one.
'Come to think of it, it rained last year, too, ' you quietly mused, as you heard the pitter-patter of raindrops on your window. With a bittersweet smile on your face, you allowed yourself to think back to your wedding, and the vows he once made.
"I join my life with yours…"
It was a wedding befitting Mafia royalty, and
despite the rain, all the people that mattered to the two of you came to celebrate your special day. Everything from the lavish venue that was decked out with thousands of white roses, the two-meter high wedding cake to your bespoke designer wedding dress and five-carat diamond wedding ring had nobility written all over it.
This day couldn't be more perfect - you exchanged vows with Soryu in a traditional ceremony, and your apprehension about the guests not mixing well vanished when you saw your family being entertained by no less than your husband's best friends, and the Ice Dragons socializing with your friends.
'I'm really Soryu's wife now, ' you beamed silently, as guests started addressing you as Mrs. Oh, and wishing you'd start a family as soon as possible. The thought of having babies made you blush, and you sipped your wine to hide your embarrassment.
"Someone's spacing out." Your husband's voice shook you from your daydream, and soon you felt his hand close over yours. "Are you okay, baby?"
You turned your attention to the handsome man beside you. Dressed in a long black silk Changshan over his dress pants, with his hair slicked back, Soryu looked even more handsome than you had ever thought possible. As you continued to thank your lucky stars at having married such a wonderful man, he leaned closer and stole a kiss from you.
"You looked like you were waiting for a kiss, " he whispered and you felt your face flush. "Am I wrong?"
"No, but we're in public -"
"Ah, that's right. We're at a wedding - our wedding - so that means I get to kiss you whenever I want to." He smirked and leaned closer once more to capture your lips.
You blushed furiously and attempted to escape, but the tinkling of glasses resounded across the reception hall. At the corner of your eye, you could see Ota and Baba leading the crowd in requesting to see the couple kiss.
Soryu shrugged and looked at you. "We can't disappoint our guests, can we?"
You straightened up and took a deep breath. "I suppose we can't, " you responded and closed your eyes, anticipating his kiss.
Smiling, he admired you for a bit. He's always found you beautiful - in fact, it was your quiet beauty that beckoned him to bid for you on the night you were auctioned off at the Tres Spades - but today, you were as bright as the Sun, and he simply couldn't look away. Just before he brushed your lips with his, he whispered, "I promise you that I'll make you the happiest woman in the world."
"Wherever you will go, I will go. Whatever you will face, I will face…"
You straighten up the life-size wedding portrait that the photographer delivered to your home yesterday. It's been three months since the wedding, and immediately after that, Soryu had been called upon to help win over a rogue Italian Mafia group, whose leader recently passed away.
You sighed, as the memory of how your brief honeymoon in Ibiza was cut short after that call he received from the Ice Dragons faction in Sicily.
'This won't take long, baby. I'll be home soon, ' he promised, as he sent you off to Japan. Since then, you'd devoted your time in making his condominium unit look and feel like home. Days turned into weeks, and his calls had become less frequent and shorter.
'But I chose this life, ' you reminded yourself, as you went about cleaning, making an extra effort to ensuring that it smells fresh. Today was a special day - today's the day he was coming home.
The doorbell rang, and you made a mad dash for the door. You paused briefly to smooth out your dress. 'This is it! He's finally home! ' you thought silently, as you felt a flurry in your tummy. You realized you missed him more than you thought, and you wanted nothing more than to fly into his arms. Flashing a bright smile, you turned the handle and opened the door excitedly.
"Ryosuke?"
"Princess!" Soryu's faithful henchman greeted with a warm smile on his face.
"Come in, come in, " you said, stepping aside to make way for the young man to enter your house carrying what looked like an expensive package.
"What brings you here?"
"Princess, " he said, tentatively. "Boss sent me here to tell you in person that he's a little caught up in the negotiations between the Ice Dragons, Crimson Swords, and La Squadra…"
"Oh."
Your husband's henchman started to fidget. Perhaps that came out sadder than you let on, so you immediately gave him a smile. "Those negotiations sure take up a lot of time, huh?"
Those words may have worked wonders because you noticed Ryosuke relax a bit. "Yes. Right now, both groups still don't trust each other so we're not even allowed to bring phones inside the neutral territory. Anyway, the Boss wanted to make sure you were alright and he wanted me to give this to you, too."
You stared at the paper bag he held in front of you, wishing it was Soryu offering it to you instead.
"Princess?"
"Oh, sorry, " you said, as soon as you returned to your senses, and took the bag from him. "Are you going back to Italy?"
"Yeah, I leave in an hour. I just flew in to give you this, and to tell you that Boss said he'll fly to you as soon as this is over."
"Please tell Soryu to take care of himself, Ryosuke, " you said before he left.
"I will, Princess."
Sighing, you opened the paper bag and took out a box with a note attached to it.
'I'm sorry this is taking a while, but I'll be home soon. I'd like you to pick our most beautiful wedding picture and put it on this frame. Keep it by your bedside, so you won't forget. I love you, baby. Thank you for marrying me.'
You traced his lovely calligraphy with your finger. You saw that one of the words had blotted, followed by another and yet another. Suddenly, your vision was clouded, and you simply allowed your tears to fall.
"For good or ill, in happiness and in sadness, come riches or poverty…"
You quickly made your way through the crowd at the Emergency Room of the prestigious Medical Center in Milan, scouring the area for Ota, Eisuke, or anyone who could point you to where your husband was. They were staying at the Tres Spades in London when they received the fateful call from Ryosuke and made their way to Italy right away.
"Hey, over here."
You spun around as soon as you heard Ota's voice and you felt someone tug your arm. "Come with me, " he said, as he held your hand and led you to the VIP Emergency Section, where Eisuke, Baba, Mamoru, and Luke were waiting.
"Lovely Bones, I'm so glad you're here, " Luke greeted you as soon as you arrived.
You nodded solemnly at the English doctor and then turned to Eisuke. "Thank you for sending your private jet."
The businessman shrugged. "Soryu's in stable condition now. I had to authorize his surgery, otherwise he -"
"Now, now, Boss, " Baba cut in. "She's just arrived and here you are scaring her."
"Sor's in stable condition now. Eisuke made sure of that, " Luke said, reassuringly. "Come, he's in this room."
It was the first time you're seeing him after six months of being away, and this was not the reunion you had in mind. You steeled yourself, as Luke gestured for you to follow him, but nothing prepared you for what you were about to see. In a spacious room laid your husband, surrounded by machines and tubes of all sorts. Your heart pounded with each step you took towards him.
"Soryu, " you whispered, as you run your fingers through his hair.
"One of the Squadra henchmen attacked before Soryu and their interim leader signed the agreement." You heard Eisuke speak from behind. "He was said to have been opposed to forming an alliance with the Ice Dragons from the start, so he open-fired. Their leader was killed on the spot, and Jin is in critical condition as we speak."
You tried to block the images of the bloodshed in what was supposed to be neutral territory for all the Mafia groups worldwide. Leaning forward, you planted a kiss on Soryu's forehead. "I'm so glad you're alive, my love, " you said quietly to your still unconscious husband before you turned your attention to his childhood friend. "Thank you for making sure he gets treated right away, Eisuke."
"He's not gonna be happy you're here - at least, that's what he's going to say, " Eisuke casually said.
"I know. He's gonna say I'm exposing myself to danger, " you mused, as you twined your fingers with Soryu's. "But it's a risk I'm willing to take because this is the life I chose."
From where he was standing, you could see him smirk. "I see you've grown much braver. Now, you sound like the wife of a Mafia Boss."
"That's because I am the wife of a Mafia Boss, " you retorted, before turning your attention back to your husband, whispering promises you hoped he would hear.
"I take you as my life partner, and will give myself to no other…"
He sent you back to Japan a week after he was discharged from the hospital. It's been a month since you saw him. Back in the comfort of your lifeless condominium, you sat by your lonesome and poured yourself a drink. 'He only has my best interest in mind, ' you said to yourself as you took a sip of your wine.
You heard the doorbell and wondered who would visit you past midnight. Nonetheless, you walked to the door to check.
"Ota?"
"Hey, I was in the area, and I thought I'd check on you."
You rolled your eyes in disbelief, almost sure that Soryu put him through this. "Well, mission accomplished. Tell my husband I'm doing okay, " you said, a lot harsher than you intended, and made to close the door.
"Woah, Woah… wait just a minute there, " the handsome blond said smoothly, as he blocked the door and snuck in. "You don't exactly sound okay. Have you been drinking?"
"Just leave me be, Ota. You know your way out," you dismissed, walking away from him.
"On the contrary, maybe I'll join you."
"Suit yourself."
He followed you to the makeshift bar, and you poured him a drink, silently wishing the time would pass quickly. Three bottles of wine later, you had moved from the bar to the couch, where you were currently resting your head on his lap while he gently combed it with his fingers.
The grandfather clock struck six times, and you both trained your eyes on it. "It's six in the morning?"
"Damn, we stayed up all night, " he said before letting out a yawn. "I guess I better go."
He stopped combing your hair to help you sit up, and you immediately miss the warmth of his touch. Sensing your sudden mood change, Ota cupped your face with his hands and looked into your eyes. "Hey, wipe that frown from your face."
The sound of a gun cocking tore through the living room, and you both jumped apart. Standing by the entrance was a confused Ryosuke, and beside him was your husband.
"Soryu!"
He kept his eyes and his gun trained at Ota, so you turned to face him and took a step to block Ota from his line of sight. "Soryu, please -"
"I was just comforting her, Sor -"
"Is that what you call it these days?" Soryu mocked, as he stepped closer.
You continued to block Ota, even as your husband circled around you to get a better aim. "This is not what you think it is, Soryu. Stop threatening to shoot Ota -"
"Oh? Were you expecting another kind of reaction after seeing your wife with another man?"
"I already told you that it's not what you think. Ota came by last night to check on me because he probably thought I could use some company, " you started, not breaking eye contact with the intimidating Ice Dragon Boss you married. "And you know what, I didn't realize just how lonely I was until last night."
Your cutting words made him waver. He lowered his gun slowly but kept his gaze shot at the man behind you. "Inui, " he called out to his loyal henchman without looking over his shoulder. "Take Ota to the Tres Spades and proceed to headquarters after. My wife and I have things to discuss."
You held your breath, as you watched Ryosuke escort a weary-looking Ota away from you. As soon as the door closed, you felt your inhibitions slip away.
"You were lonely?"
"You expected otherwise?"
"But I called you whenever I can -"
You sighed and rolled your eyes. "That's it?" We're married, Soryu - we've been married for seven months, for goodness sakes - but do you know how much time we've actually spent together? About twenty days - half of which you were unconscious."
His face was devoid of any emotion, as he stood in silence, watching your outburst. You've seen this face so many times in the years you've been together - it was the face he wore when he was unsure of what to say. But that wasn't what you needed. Right now, you wanted to argue - you needed him to talk to you, to counter what you say or challenge your opinion.
"You knew what you were getting into when you married me, " he said, and you took a sharp breath.
He may as well shoot you without warning, you thought as you felt your tears dampen your cheeks. As images of how you spent your days by your lonesome filled your head, you started to accept that you will never take the top spot in his life - and that this is not the life you want to choose.
"I'm sorry, " he said, as he held your arms tenderly.
"No. I'm sorry, " you said, as you broke away from his hold and took a step back. Taking a deep breath, you removed your wedding band and placed it in his hand. "I can't do this anymore, " you told him, as you closed your hand over his. "I need someone who will choose me over everything else, and clearly, that person isn't you."
You forced a smile on your face as you stared into his eyes, burning his image in your mind one last time. "I'm sorry I couldn't stay with you after all. I won't care to pack my things since you bought most of it for me anyway. We can ask our lawyers to talk about our divorce."
As you started to turn, you felt him grip your wrist tightly. "Baby, I love you. Please don't go, he pleaded as you struggled to break free. "Please don't walk out the door -"
He sobbed unabashedly behind you, and you felt your heart pounding wildly. You wanted to throw yourself in his arms, but you knew that wouldn't change anything. You and his Mafia family were equals, and you will never win over them.
Taking a deep breath, you turned the knob open and stepped out the door.
"Till death do us part."
It's been five months since you last saw him. He made no move to see you or respond to your divorce letter. When you were offered your old job at the Tres Spades, you made sure of two things - that he wasn't made aware and that you do not run into him - conditions that Eisuke and Mr. Kenzaki had no problems complying with, and you spent your days cleaning guest rooms and banquet halls to pass the time. On some days it was easy to forget you were ever married, and some days are harder than others.
Today was one of them. You sighed wearily and allowed yourself to think of what would have been. Just this once.
You would have been married for a year today, you mused as you fix your eyes on your left ring finger. Today, he would have probably brought you to the Louvre or made arrangements to close Versailles for a day just for the two of you and make love to you in every room in the palace.
You wiped your tears and took a few deep breaths to calm yourself down. Outside, you saw the rain continued to pour, as though consoling you for your loss.
'It's over. We're over, ' you said, as you wrapped your arms around yourself.
A rap on your door distracted you from your thoughts. You frowned and strained to listen to the sound you heard, wondering if someone just bumped against your door.
But there it was again - knock, knock - and you rose from your bed to see who it was.
You opened the door and gasped. Standing outside was Soryu, in his usual grey suit, with his hair slicked back. He cradled the biggest bouquet of Ecuadorian roses you've ever seen, and you pinched yourself to check if you were dreaming or not.
"You're really here, " you heard him say.
"That's my line, " you retorted as you watched him walk inside your room. "What are you doing here?"
"I needed to see you, " he said casually, before showing you the bouquet he was holding. "And I wanted you to have these."
"Why?"
"Because it's our one-year anniversary."
"But we're over -"
"Oh? I don't remember signing my consent to the divorce. In fact, I just thought you needed a little time to cool off from our first big fight."
You rolled your eyes and held the bouquet close to you. "A little time? What's so little about five months?"
"I was scared because I've never seen you so upset before because of me, " he said. "But when I saw the divorce papers, I was devastated. I knew I had to talk about it and win you back, but I didn't know where to find you."
"How did you find me? Eisuke and Mr. Kenzaki promised…"
"Ota may have slipped me a note or two, " he confessed, as he reached out to hold your hand and peered into your face. "Baby, I love you. I can't live without you."
"I missed you, Soryu, " you start to sob and he pulled you in for a hug. "I really thought you'd given upon us."
"I wouldn't do that, " he said, his voice cracking. "I hadn't made good on all my promises, except for one. And I intend to continue keeping that promise."
"What promise is that?"
"Did you really forget?" He asked as he pulled away. The confusion on your face didn't go amiss, as you watched him fish something out of his pocket. Your eyes widen when you'd caught sight of the ring you'd given back to him.
"I love you, baby, " he said solemnly, as he slipped the gold band onto your finger just like he did a year ago. "Til death do us part."
The end.
