My Skywing family from Val Celeste, a Skywing location I imagined exactly one year ago.

The Leader Arnensú, the High Sky Mage Lindwil and their kid Saelram.

I headcanon some Skywing have feathered ears.

That’s actually an old draw I’ve been blocked from finishing for months for I had no background ideas. (And to be honest, I still don’t, just added random stuff)

Some information: Masks is traditionally used by the Leader of Val Celeste as a crown. Others family also might have specific masks which are passed through generations some inspiration from Orlais

I created the name Saelram from Sael - wise in quenya, and Ráma who means wing. Saelram means the wise wing. Saelram is one of the blessed Skywing elves who inherited from a pair of wings, though their wings does not appear in the draw (as hidden by their blanket).

Val Celeste is located in the peaks of one of the highest mountains in Xadia. Skywing Elves from there lives in harmony with sky dragons, which they revere.

This photo is from tales of xadia, it is mentioned here that the Moonshadow elves have a song about the Startouch elves. Now I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the series but I don't remember Rayla say anything about it and I wonder why. Rayla is a moonshadow elf, she was suppose to know this song, I know it's just random and not an actual information but it is something. You can interpret this song as something that talks about the mysteries of Startouch elves, they are the only ones here with their full name and not the primal source name, so there is a seperation between the startouch and rest of the elf races, it's still something about them. So why Rayla didn't say anything?

im sure most of the elf’s markings are cosmetic but what if some of them are runes? like with Skywing elves’ wing runes? what if elf mages gain more markings over time thanks to rune magic?

what if Callum started to decorate himself in markings and runes for magic purposes, not even realizing how much like an elf he can appear?

Thinking of writing Finnagrin as a space pirate.

Aaravos wants an ingredient from a certain planet to trade to a client, and Finny goes where the money is, to Katolis where he kidnaps Ezran instead of Callum (no he doesn’t hurt ezran, unlike canon, he has a soft spot for kids) and completes the mission as well.

Aaravos gets pissed cause Finny doesn’t realize that he captured the heir to Katolis throne.

Chaos chaos chaos

Callum seeks out a bounty hunter who may help him find Ezran.

Rayla is the bounty hunter.

I have lost track of whatever I needed to say. So take this as an incomplete wip. Anyone is welcome to use this idea!

Hc: Elves have heightened senses

E.g:

Earthblood elves have heightened touch (so, idk how to explain but they sort of have heightened reactions to textures and stuff)

Skywing elves have a heightened sense of hearing

Sunfire elves have a heightened sense of smell

Startouch elves have a greater sense of taste

Moonshadow elves have a better sense of sight (so... are less likely to have bad eyesight and can naturally see things far away)

Tidebound elves have the best sense of thermoception (the ability to sense heat and cold, this just makes sense to me)

These make sense to me but please feel free to add your own thoughts/changes to this

so I'd assumed the reason there wasn't any naval warfare to speak of between Xadia and the human kingdoms for a thousand years was that the Spinning Sea prevented east/west travel in the south Charybdis-style and the Frozen Sea prevented it in the north The Terror-style, but s5 shows that apparently??? they've been able to just sail around the Spinning Sea???? all along??????

anyway I was thinking about that and piracy and was suddenly like "wait a minute, none of these fucking ships have any cannons, what the Disney-ass fuck???" and it honest to god took me a solid five minutes to remember that there's probably still a generation or two between now and someone in Katolis inventing gunpowder and causing everyone to have a bad time

#anyway xadian naval combat for piracy is probably mostly sky and ocean magic so #and finnegrin's giant crab #but yeah makes sense why a lot of skywing elves would bother to become sailors i guess
