...but as it turns out, it's a scam, because she's connected with a children's book publishing company that is a rival to Scholastic.
From the article:
"On November 14, a 20-year-old woman named Lanah Burkhardt appeared before the school board of the Conroe Independent School District in Texas. Burkhardt told the board that, when she was 11, she read a Scholastic book that introduced her to 'a single kiss.' According to Burkhardt, her exposure to this Scholastic book was directly responsible for her developing a debilitating addiction to pornography.
"...Burkhardt cited her story as a reason to restrict access to Drama, a novel published by Scholastic. The book includes this image of two people kissing:
Tumblr media
"But Burkhardt went further, arguing that Conroe should remove all Scholastic books from schools and stop hosting Scholastic book fairs. These steps were necessary, Burkhardt argued, to protect children from "sexual obscenity." According to Burkhardt, 'getting rid of Scholastic books and their book fairs will inevitably protect kids.'
"Burkhardt's appearance was promoted by SkyTree Book Fairs, a newly formed organization marketing itself as 'an alternative to the sexually explicit content distributed in Scholastic's book fairs.'
"While SkyTree Book Fairs presents itself as an independent non-profit organization, it appears to be a hastily assembled offshoot of Brave Books, which publishes children's books by right-wing pundits and pseudo-celebrities. The link between SkyTree Book Fairs and Brave Books was first reported by Book Riot.
"Neither Brave Books nor Burkhardt disclosed that Burkhardt is an employee of Brave Books. According to her LinkedIn profile, Burkhardt is the company's 'public relations coordinator.'"

Burkhardt works for SkyTree Book Fairs and:

-_-
I swear.
People.
Some days I don’t wonder why I’m a misanthrope. I wonder how we, as a species, have tolerated each other as much as we have to have survived this long.
I just really hate people.
I remember my wife once saying to me, “Half the country can’t be evil.” And for me: half is lowballing the numbers. Nope, it’s the majority of everybody.
Though I suppose that feeling is playing in to my mental illness.

The censorship of books that is going on in schools currently is insane. A woman went up to the school board and claimed that reading a kiss in Drama by Raina Telgemeier caused her porn addiction.
….
This kiss.
Tumblr media
She is saying Scholastic books in general should be banned from schools.
I’m losing it. A county in my state just replaced Scholastic book fair with the Sky Tree book fair. What the hell is happening???😭😭😭😭

Reposting from elsewhere
This does appear to genuinely be a teen trans propaganda book. Notice that they seem to post op, at least for the breasts, despite Leftists claiming they are not pushing breast removal onto kids. I've gotta say, there wasn't a lot of sex manuals at my school library. So why do Leftists want to show porn to kids? _________________________________________________
Fellow Patriot, Please forgive me for sending you these images, but you must know what we’re up against.  Here’s how all those morally disgusting books get into our children’s schools - Scholastic Book Fairs.  Like me, you probably have fond memories of Scholastic Book Fairs. They were always a day I looked forward to as a child. It was something fun and new and different at school. And even better, I could find a new book.  But please realize radical leftists have hijacked Scholastic. Here are images from the Scholastic book called Welcome to St. Hell, which promotes trans ideology to kids.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a solution. Let’s get rid of Scholastic and start a new book fair organization.  SkyTree Book Fairs offers schools a different option for book fairs. SkyTree Book Fairs is providing schools, parents, and children with an empowering alternative with literature rooted in truth and family values that matches the quality and ease of Scholastic while countering their harmful agenda. Here’s how you can help. Please help us promote new book fairs in schools to replace Scholastic. Can you donate $35, $50, or even $100 today toward SkyTree? I am hoping to raise $50,000. Donate any amount today >>

Here’s the GOOD news! We’ve already started hosting book fairs with SkyTree. We hosted a recent one at a Virginia public school, and it was a huge success! There’s no reason our schools need to choose Scholastic when there’s a wholesome alternative like SkyTree.
Scholastic holds a virtual monopoly on school book fairs. Like many of our cultural institutions in the last decade, Scholastic has fallen prey to the woke mob and radical LGBT political agenda. SkyTree will bring back wholesome content to kids, like what we had growing up. Kids should remain innocent and have content to encourage their moral character while fostering their imagination. It’s not complicated!  It’s what we grew up with.  Please help us host more book fairs this semester. My goal is to raise $50,000 this month to bring school fairs to more public schools across the country. It costs roughly $4,500 for SkyTree to host a book fair.

What Is SkyTree Book Fairs? A "New" Scholastic Competitor

At a Crossroads: Part 1
Tumblr media
The members of Daybreakers must now make a difficult decision as a new school year approaches.
——————————
.
.
.
The silence was deafening in the room as the clock on the wall showed that another minute had passed without anyone saying a word.
“To be fair. 657300¥ a month is a lot to pay. The 420,000¥ range is far better. Staying would be an option if only we weren’t getting busier.” Indeed, the members of DayBreakers were moving out of Akihabara.
“Yeah, when we pay our share, we usually have enough for healthy meals, but with you going into your second year and me into my fourth, I’ll have to pull back hours from work to study. It’ll cut my salary by about 100000¥.” Akihabara wasn’t the cheapest place to live in, but it was in a good place between Ueno, Bunkyo, and Asakusa, only 1-4 minutes away from each. Now, their only options, which were cheaper, were up to 15-30 minutes away.
“. . . What about the Division Rap Battles? Is DayBreakers going to end just because of rent?” Haruto’s voice was unusually quiet and unsure as he asked the question.
“NO.” Kosuke and Natsuki firmly said at the same time.
“Though it’s true that the rap battles do make things harder for us, I don’t think there’s a need to leave.”
“We’re choosing a place without a division. We’ll represent them in the next DRB.” Natsuki said firmly. Kosuke nodded in agreement, opening the folder on the dinner table, revealing a pile of papers of share house listings in a selection of wards and cities.
“What about Meguro? That’s a residential area. There’s also Setagaya, Edogawa, Sumida, Itabashi, Kita and Kawasaki.” Kosuke asked, gesturing to each pile of papers as he listed each area.
“Meguro’s kinda dull ain’t it same with Kita and Itabashi. At least Kawasaki and Setagaya are more interesting!”
“What about Edogawa and Sumida?” Natsuki asked as he pointed at the two small piles of paper.
“Sumida can’t be much cheaper or peaceful with the Skytree and all.” Kosuke reasoned.
“So that leaves Setagaya and Kawasaki.” Haruto said, removing all the papers they didn’t need and putting them back into the folder. It left about nine decent options left, all meeting the requirements each member had.
Kosuke wanted a large room to store his supplies in, Natsuki wanted a quieter place that wasn’t too far from his workplace in Minato, and Haruto wanted somewhere close to a park.
“Kawasaki is closer to Yokohama and farther from Harajuku though. . .” Natsuki observed.
“Are those things we should consider?” Both Kosuke and Haruto were startled by the older twin’s consideration of such a thing.
“Well like we said, we’re not leaving the rap scene. Yokohama is really tied to Ikebukuro, so if we decrease our chances of having rap conflicts, then we'll be better off. Speaking of which, how do we handle the fans? Lots of them only support us because we’re local, the news is gonna eat us alive. And the two of you are going to have it the hardest.” Natsuki was right, Haruto could suffer a loss or increase in bookings, and the same could be said with Kosuke’s commissions. But it was either risk physical and mental health, or a decrease in salary while living in a cheaper place. The answer was pretty obvious.
“Alright then, we can talk about this more tomorrow when we choose where we’ll go, but I think we should take some time to deal with this.” No one wanted to move away, they’d made friends with neighbors and Akihabara had truly felt like home. Moving away out of necessity wasn’t something that would ever be a welcome event.
Kosuke took the folder with the other share houses that were no longer being considered, and the three left the pile of those in Kawasaki on the dining table for anyone to look over when they wanted to. He then left to go to his room to finish some commissions, debating whether or not to tell the former members of the TDD in the meantime.
Natsuki got a snack before he got ready to change and leave for work at the pet shop in another hour. Haruto just went to his room, not having anything to do until later that night and just wanting to calm himself down. Natsuki was right, out of all of them, Haruto and Kosuke were all too aware of what the media would do to them and how while some would be alright with the move and sympathetic, but most would be betrayed and angry.
The next day, Kosuke, Natsuki, and Haruto didn’t speak about the move at all, instead, they spent their day with their friends outside of the division.

His Ninjas
Second chapter of my @talisbirthdaychallenge fic!
Chapter 2: New Heights
As always, Ziva woke up before the other two and went out for a walk around the area. By the time she returned, Tony and Tali were awake and getting ready for their first day of sightseeing. “Are you just immune to jetlag or something?” Tony yawned, buttoning his shirt. “I brought breakfast,” she said, rather than responding, and placed a box of doughnuts on the table, then handed her partner a paper cup. He opened the lid, closed his eyes, and inhaled the coffee scent deeply. “Have I told you how much I love you?” he practically moaned. “You have,” she said with a shrug, “but I can always stand to hear it again.” Tony pressed a kiss to her cheek and opened the box of doughnuts. “Hey, T-Bird,” he called to their daughter, “come get some breakfast.” “Ooh,” Tali cooed, climbing onto a chair to pick out a treat, “I love doughnuts.” “Daddy’s girl,” Ziva teased, swatting at Tony’s stomach. He rolled his eyes. “Should we tell her?” he asked Ziva. Tali’s ears perked up and she paused her perusal, “Me?”
“I do not know, Tony. Do you think we should tell her?” “Is it me?” Tali said, fully turning to face her parents. Tony shrugged, continuing the game, “Tough question. It might be too exciting. I mean, it’s such good news.” “Tell me!” Tali called. “Hmm, you are right,” Ziva replied, pretending to ignore their child, “She may not even want to know.” “I wanna know, I wanna know,” Tali begged. Tony pretended to think about it while Tali reached out her little hand and grabbed his arm. “Daaaaaaddyyyyy,” she pleaded.  “Oh!” he said, pretending to have just noticed the little girl, “Tali. Didn’t see you come in. Ima and I were just discussing if you would like to know about your super-special, extra-fantastic birthday present that we got for you.” Tali’s eyes grew wide and she nodded frantically. “Well, you know how your birthday is in a couple of days?” he began. “Yep. I’m gonna be six!” she said proudly. He nodded, “That’s right. And your Ima and I decided that we would take you on an extra special trip just for your birthday.” Tali narrowed her eyes, “But you said we were in Japan for your work.” Ziva nodded, “We are, but we are going somewhere special while we are here.” “Is it the Pokemon Cafe?” Tali gasped. Tony opened and closed his mouth a few times, trying to think of the right words, “We are going to the Pokemon Cafe, but that’s not your special gift.” “So it’s even more special than the Pokemon Cafe?” Tali asked, thinking Tony nodded, “I think so, what do you think, Ima?” “Oh,” Ziva said, pretending to be taken aback, “yeah, I think so.” Tali leaned forward, conspiratorially, “Where is it?” Tony made a show of looking around, as if he were making sure that no one was around to hear his answer, before he and Ziva leaned forward so that the three of them were huddled together. “Disneyland,” he responded in a stage whisper. “What?!” Tali shouted so loudly that Ziva and Tony both became concerned that they would never regain hearing in the ears closest to their daughter, “Do you mean it?!” Tony sat back and smiled, “Of course, kiddo.” “I can’t believe it,” Tali said, backing away, “I can’t believe it. I’ve gotta go tell Pikachu.” As their daughter ran off, Ziva chuckled. Her partner looked up at her from where he was still sitting on the floor, “I think we did a pretty good job with this present.”
------------------------
Even as the morning faded, Tali continued walking on air, still in disbelief that she was going to Disneyland in a few days. However, this thought did not stop her from fully enjoying their other stops. Her fun at the drum museum did not do any favors to her parents’ ears that she had already damaged over breakfast. After leaving the gardens of the Imperial Palace, she held her father’s hand as they followed Ziva through the streets of Nihonbashi. The little girl looked up in awe at the unfamiliar sights around her while Tony looked at his partner in awe at the ease with which she could navigate an unfamiliar city. Tali was not really paying attention as they entered a building and took an elevator up, but as the doors slid open, her eyes landed on something and she gave a theatrical gasp. “Daddy!” she said, yanking on Tony’s arm, “It's Pikachu!”
“I can’t believe I got to get my picture taken with Chef Pikachu!” Tali said happily as they left the shopping center, new Chef Pikachu toy tucked away in her backpack for safekeeping, “Lily is going to be so jealous of me when I show her. I need to buy her a souvenir! Ima, we need to go back to the Pokemon store!” Ziva laughed at the girl’s verbalized thoughts, “Ahava, there will be many more places to get Lily a gift. Do not worry, we will find something.” Tali nodded, taking her mother’s hand this time, as they made their way back to the train station.
--------------------------------------
“Where are we going next?” Tali asked as they rode the train back from Mt. Takao. Ziva shrugged, “I am not sure. We’re going somewhere that your father chose.” “Ima,” Tali said leaning into her mother’s side, “wasn’t it funny when the monkey took all of Daddy’s food?” Ziva laughed and Tony looked up from his map and narrowed his eyes.  “Laugh it up, Zee-vah,” he teased, “see if I ever save you from hungry macaques.”
“What the hell, DiNozzo?” Ziva hissed under her breath as they stood in front of a blank wall with only a small sign, a lamp, and a wooden door, “I thought we were going to have dinner ‘somewhere special.’” “Just wait,” he said with a wink, leading Tali up to the door and pushing it open to reveal a small room. As Ziva entered, the maître d' clapped his hands and a small door popped open, revealing a person dressed in all maroon with only their eyes showing. Tali’s eyes grew wide and she looked up at Tony, “Is that a real ninja?” The ninja-cum-waiter and Tali led the way through a narrow maze until they arrived at their table, at which time, he sent Tali on a mad search for the hidden ninja call button.  Tony grinned like the Cheshire Cat through the entire experience while Ziva tried to not show him how amused she was at his scheme.  Once their food had arrived and Tali was busy playing with her toy ninja sword, Ziva looked across the table at her partner. “Did you pick this restaurant just so that you could make more ninja jokes?” she asked, raising her eyebrows.  “Now, come on, Ziva, why would I do that?” he said, smiling into his soup.  “And you saw the prices on the menu before booking this?” she added. His grin turned into a full-on smirk, “I am very committed to my art.” She could only roll her eyes.
After they left the ninja restaurant, snapping a picture of Tali in her ninja headband with their ninja waiter on the way out, they headed once more into the streets of Tokyo. They ended up in a Hello Kitty store and another Pokemon shop before they actually arrived at their intended destination. Tony was fairly certain that all the school supplies Tali would need between now and college were currently stuffed into his and Ziva’s backpacks as they rode an elevator to the 350th floor of the Tokyo Skytree. While Tali and Ziva looked out at the city, Tony purchased tickets for them to go even higher up, which required another elevator ride that Tali was all too happy to take. After they got off the elevator, the problem became keeping up with Tali as she dragged them along the ramp to the highest point. Just as her parents would start to get a good view, the little girl would spot something just ahead and insist that they keep going.  “What can I say, the kid’s very goal-oriented,” Tony joked, winking at Ziva as Tali urged him to hurry up.
Once they reached the top, Tali finally stopped for a moment. She all but pressed herself against the walls to look out over the lights of the city in awe. Tony stood beside her, “What do you think, kiddo? As good as the Eiffel Tower back home?” Tali’s eyes never left the window as she responded, “It’s better.” “Better?” Tony questioned, looking from Tali to Ziva who couldn’t tear her eyes from their daughter, “How is it better?” “It’s so much taller, Daddy,” Tali said, “And the lights go on forever.” Tony shrugged, “Yeah, the city is pretty big, isn’t it?” Ziva put an arm around Tony and leaned against him, “It is the largest metro in the world, you know?” “Mhm,” Tony responded, noncommittally, “I’m just happy that I found somewhere in the world where you and I are on the same level, linguistically.” “Ha!” Ziva barked, “My love, you and I will never be on the same level, linguistically.” Tony huffed, “Oh come on, Ziva, just because you’re not that great at English doesn’t mean you have to put yourself down like that.” She swatted his arm and chuckled.
Eventually, they tore Tali away from the windows and made their way down to the 340th floor, where she soon found a new favorite thing-- the deck’s glass floor. They watched their daughter walking around on the floor, looking down on the city below her, and talked. “You know, I’ve thought about proposing to you on top of the Eiffel Tower,” Tony said. Ziva didn’t look at him, but responded, “That is such a movie thing to do.” “Are you telling me that you’d say ‘No’?” “I’m telling you that you could do better.” “So if I proposed to you here?” “Are you?” “Well, I didn’t bring the ring with me.” She turned her head to look at him, “But you have a ring?” He scratched the side of her head, avoiding looking at her, “I’ve had a ring for eight years.” “Tony,” she said in a heavy voice barely above a whisper. Tony turned his head and looked at her shyly. She turned her hand to hold his, continuing to look at her.  “You didn’t really answer my question,” he said. She responded, “You didn’t answer mine either.” He cracked a smile, “Now that’s not fair, I did ask first.” “Remind me of what your question was,” she said with a small smile.  “Will you marry me?” Her smile grew, actually showing her white teeth now, “Yeah.” “That’s not quite the big, romantic answer I thought I would get,” he teased. “Well,” she said, smile turning to a smirk, “that wasn’t quite the big, romantic proposal I thought I would get.” “We’ve never done things the way people would expect,” Tony shrugged. “This is true,” she said, turning back to watch Tali. “Besides, there’s time for big, romantic gestures when I actually give you the ring, huh?” “Having two separate proposals would be far from the most unusual part of our relationship.” He laughed dryly, “That’s the truth.”
The return to their hotel was uneventful, with the exception of stopping to pick up crepes for an evening snack.  Tony smiled at Ziva’s subtle pressure on Tali to get her preferred flavor, knowing that she would end up eating the majority of the pastry once her daughter tired of it. Little moments like that helped Tony to know that Ziva was really settling into her position in their little family. Once they returned, she set to helping Tali get ready for bed while he checked their plans for the next day.
“Everything looking alright?” she asked, sneaking up behind him as he worked. He jumped only a little this time, responding, “Looking good. Just needed to return a couple emails. Kiddo in bed?” Ziva nodded, “She was exhausted. We had a big day today.” He smiled warmly, “We’ve got another big day tomorrow.” “And you… meant what you asked me earlier?” Ziva asked, almost shyly. For a moment, he considered playing dumb and asking her to clarify her question, but seeing the way she was looking at her feet convinced him to do otherwise.  He reached out for her hand, holding it in his and tugging to draw her closer. She looked up at him, “I absolutely meant it, Ziva. All I want for the rest of my life is to make you and Tali happy. I want to protect you guys and… I mean, being a dad is the greatest thing to ever happen to me, but I’ve gotta admit that being your husband would be right up there with it.” She smiled again, the bashful, youthful smile from before. He tugged her down and pressed a kiss to her lips.

Goodbyes! Endings! Fish! Yelling!
This ending wraps up better than the original, but still leaves some things.
There is so much in this game that one loop is absolutely not enough to see and do it all.
Where last we left our intrepid idiot, he was buying flowers for his White Day dinner date.
Surely I will be allowed to leave the mall and sell my stuff and visit the Velvet Room. After all, what if I spent every last yen on items to use against the final boss? I would have no money for flowers!
But no. I am imprisoned in the mall and Morgana somehow pays for the flowers. Hanasaki has no comment on this except to wish me luck on my date. Wow.
Tumblr media
Sojiro, who the heck do you know that your name got us a table at a fully booked formal restaurant??
Tumblr media
Okay so this isn’t the Skytree restaurant, but SOJIRO??
Tumblr media
....yep. That’s me. Even when someone else’s wishes mean destroying my heart. Probably hypocritical to say that while I’m on a date, though.
So it feels like there’s more people you can talk to on the last walkaround. Not just your confidants, but random people in the street, and other named characters. Mika’s at Seaside Park, Takakura, from Haru’s social link, is in Kichijoji, Dietman Matsushita is in the Scramble, the little girl from Takemi’s social link is in Yongen with her dad...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.......you’re so poetic, Yusuke. That’s lovely.
Tumblr media
Finally, an ad perfectly tailored to me.
Maruki’s friend is in Kichijoji, and wants to know if we’ve heard from him. We have not. We are not friends. But apparently he’s still alive, which... hm.
Tumblr media
I’m tired of his crazy stuff, sir. I just want to see my friends and go on a roadtrip in peace, thank you.
I’d never noticed before that Morgana’s eyes glow if you use third eye.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.......
So if you go to the jazz bar, you can basically have the conversation with the manager from Proof of Justice.
Tumblr media
He’s surprised when Akira says he doesn’t know, because he never saw Goro with anyone else. He’s also worried, because he hasn’t seen Goro in a while, and wants Akira to tell him to stop by. Akira is briefly melancholy, thinking to himself, “But Akechi is already...” But then he finds Goro’s glove, still safely in his pocket, and reminds himself that their fight isn’t over yet. The jazz manager says he’s looking forward to seeing you both come in together again.
Tumblr media
It is, Morgana! I really want this sofa. This is my sofa. It was made for me; just look at it!
Tumblr media
ARSENE. IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, I’M SORRY FOR FORGETTING YOU IN LOCKDOWN. IT WOULD TAKE TEN HOURS TO REVERT TO A PRIOR SAVE AND COME BACK. LAVENZA GAVE ME A KEY AS A GIFT BUT WON’T LET ME IN. IT’S NOT MY FAULT.
Tumblr media
....is this why Ryoji’s Arcana is Fortune? XD
So you can talk to a random idol singer from a Mementos mission in Akihabara and
Tumblr media
what the fuck is this. what bonus does this give me?
Sumire is not present for the final walkaround, which is...weird. No relationship trinket? That’s disappointing. Especially considering I got a gift from some random idol.
And now it’s time for the ending. The kids are worried about being watched/pursued by the suspicious black car, which honestly, I’ve had enough suspicious black cars in relation to Persona to know that whoever this is, is not good news, police or not. ;)
But instead of sabotaging their car, don’t worry, a taxi is here to take Akira to the train station while his friends distract the men in black!
Tumblr media
......did you dye your hair??
Anyway Akira has no sense of self-preservation because here he goes getting in a car alone with this guy.
Tumblr media
We are not friends. I am not fistbumping you.
He does drop Akira off safely. Akira’s friends swing by for one last speedy goodbye and then are off again on a merry chase, and Akira goes home alone except for Morgana, which I have...several feelings about. The game goes out of its way to demonstrate that Goro is still alive even if Akira misses seeing him, because the whole world is based on what each person sees and feels, and Akira fucking feels in his heart that Goro is still alive and will come back to him one day.
Time to open up the other save and burn two weeks to see the Palace failure condition!
...I still sort of want to do this over and rescue Arsene. It’s not like I have much else to do these days. I just want my unholy powerhouse Arsene for NG+...
Heck.
Anyway, I’ve also learned that having two weeks to burn with no other responsibilities is great for grinding stuff for the awards. I spent like a week straight at the fishing pond and have become a Fishing God. Did you know that there’s an even bigger fish than the Guardian? Fishing pond guy was like, “In this weather, you might see...him.”
Tumblr media
Look at this ridiculous fucking fish. XDDDD
I also went to the batting cages and I still suck at batting, but I made it eventually. The home run award is terrifying.
Tumblr media
Okay, still a few days left, lets go play billiards, since I never went and did that during the game. I guess I’ll pick up this billiards book this guy recommends, too. I dunno why I need to be better at billiards, though, it just gives everybody social link poi--
Tumblr media
....what the fuck is this??? This only unlocks after you read the book? You can guarantee a knockdown if you have max technical rank?? You need at least four days, 2 books, and a really expensive pool cue for this??? Akechi’s only response to you pulling off some ridiculous curved shot is, “That was pretty good”???? I made it through the whole game thinking billiards was just some way to increase everyone’s social link at once????? Aaaaaaaah??????
Morgana gets very upset the closer you get to the deadline. “We HAVE to go to the Palace tomorrow!” Okay, but have you considered...going to the temple for meditation?
Tumblr media
...oops. He’s already mad. X’D Meditation?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, now, honey, don’t worry, we can technically still go tomorrow afternoon and just send the calling card when we get back. It’s fine. Today I’m gonna hang out with Shinya. Everything is under control.
Tumblr media
....Akira, NO.
Anyway, for all of Goro’s grumpiness, he doesn’t turn down an invitation to the jazz club. Hey, it’s only fair, darling, you took me out for drinks the night before the interrogation room.
It’s only right that I return the favor the night before I betray you in return.
Tumblr media
You showed me this place, dingus. XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...I am. Sorry, Goro.
Akira goes to sleep the evening of 2/2 wondering if he made the right decision. That’s the problem, ‘Kira, you didn’t make a decision at all.
“I wanted you to accept my reality of your own free will.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DON’T LIKE THAT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lavenza trying to reach him and just...fading away is painful.
I will say without hesitation that this is the worst ending. To copy-paste what I said elsewhere:
Akira's sleeping in the attic. Presumably for months, given the cobwebs. Where are his friends? Fallen back into their own dreams? Did they just give in without him, forget about him, never wonder where he went, because they have what they wanted? And Goro didn't even have a dream, so he's presumably left alone in a world that he can't stand but can't do anything about because it's permanent now. Maruki can't even give him Akira, because Akira's asleep, and Goro probably feels betrayed anyway. Akira's going to sleep forever, forgotten by everyone who was supposed to care about him. Even if he regrets choosing the dream world in that ending, at least he's there.
I think what's throwing me off is Maruki's absolute insistence on not changing Akira and Goro's cognition without their consent. Putting Akira to sleep feels like a loophole, but if he really believes that Goro is just a creation of his power, maybe Akira's consent is the only one that actually matters to him.
He's only ever really concerned with asking Akira. He even says on 2/2 that he knows Goro's not going to be fazed by the idea of his life being in danger. But if Akira agrees to stay in the fake reality, Goro's happy along with the rest of them, even though there's no way he agreed with Akira's decision. Maybe Maruki's willing to alter Goro to match Akira's wishes because he thinks he's not the real one. As long as Akira wants the real Goro, he doesn't have to worry about being overwritten. But if Akira's sleeping...
Maruki’s so kind, isn’t he?
The true ending feels so much more like it would lead into Scramble than vanilla. Still being chased by the police? Yeah. Everyone splitting up and therefore being out of touch for months? Yep. Seeing Joker in the window? Meta-space is still there and ready to warp into a Jail at the slightest nudge. I don’t understand Atlus’s writing decisions.
That whole thing with Goro does mean they owe us an actual sequel. The game literally says their fight isn’t over.
Beating the game means everyone is in the Thieves Den now, so we get some lovely interactions like Sojiro contemplating the Mona copter, and Makoto warning Ann not to tell Goro that she thinks Loki looks like a zebra.
Also that idol CD is some kind of ridiculous bubblegum idol pop song on my music player now. For one coin. Oh my god.
So... I guess the last thing I want to mention is Maruki. Because he’s a great character. I want to punch him more than I got to. But, and I’ve talked about this with a friend, I cannot wrap my head around how powerful he is. Takuto Maruki is a human being with a persona, just like the Thieves, and there is no explanation for how he got that strong. Yes, his persona is an elder god that evolves into some kind of creation deity, but it’s still just his persona. It’s not like Nyarlathotep acting as someone’s persona while still being a separate, ridiculously powerful entity. There’s no indication here that Azathoth or Adam are independent from their user. So I’m expected to believe that this man awoke to his persona and was able to use a power on-par with the God of Control...just from himself? No deity or monster backing him up? Really? I know he made a career studying cognitive psience, but this is...a little much. Having Nyar around would have cleared that up just from his general presence. XD
Anyway, I loved it. I loved absolutely all of it even if Okumura’s boss fight was a bitch. I think I’ve unfortunately made the decision to go back for Arsene, so I’m definitely going to play NG+ after I take a break to play something else first.
There’s three bonus bosses and the Reaper left to fight, after all. ;)

Nihon, Omae Wa Utsukushii
Konnichiwa! At long last, I have now experienced the ultimate dream I have been daydreaming of since then. The buildings, anime studios, shrines, attractions, and nightlife that exist in Japan are the things I could forever live with. Being lost in Japan literally and figuratively is a thrilling experience. Despite being crowded, the Japanese breeze is a breath of fresh air. The zephyr of nature and city life reminds you to enjoy life and enjoy the stay for a while. Nihon, your beauty is indelible. You, being my dream place that I had the chance to visit, is the thing I will be forever proud of.
In my seven-days-vacation, I have visited Akihabara, Ueno, Shibuya, and Yokohama. It was the best seven days of my entire existence. It was somehow real to be unreal! My travel started with a ride from Haneda Airport to my hotel which was in Akihabara. My way to my hotel was astonishing. It was the first time I usually see the roads in Tokyo. It was heart-melting. I chose to stay in Akihabara since it is near to the stations where I can easily travel. I purchased a Japan Railway Pass to avail a lesser travel expense since the bullet train fair is really expensive. I spent my first day resting due to jet lag but as soon as I was relieved, I immediately roam Akihabara. It is known as the center of electronic devices and Otakus (anime lovers). Since I am an anime lover, I just wanted to live there forever. The streets of Akihabara are always full, especially in the establishments, I went in. The establishments there are the main attractions. As an Otaku, I instantly went to Mandarake, the largest manga and anime shop in the world. I was in awe to see a lot of manga books and figurines of my favorite anime characters. I was on the verge of hyperventilating because of the excitement I felt. After I roam around Mandarake, Yodobashi Camera, the electronic giant store was my next route. It was the largest electronic store in Akihabara that offers tax-free products. I bought a better camera there for better travel photos in the latter days of my trip. I also spent my remaining hours trying a lot of Akihabara street food and end up being in Kyushu Jangara Ramen to eat my dinner. They have the best pork cutlet ramen I have ever tasted!
My second day started at 6 AM to ready my stuff for the day’s itinerary. There are two places I visited that day; Ueno and Shibuya. Ueno is very famous for its shrines, and it is where we can have stopovers to lots of Japanese museums, one of these is the Japan National Museum. I have learned a lot about their culture wandering in the different museums since they are just near to each other. Visiting the Ueno Park and Ueno Zoo is also on my list. After lunch, I went to my second itinerary, Shibuya. I was able to cross to the famous Shibuya Crossing, the busiest road in the world. It was fun that there are a lot of people intersecting that I laughed by myself when I crossed five times to savor the chance. I also had a photo-op with Hachiko! I filled my stomach for my snacks in Kugutsado Ramen, which was only 10 minutes walking distance from the statue of Hachiko. I made ramen the food on the Japan trip. I finished my two destinations by 5 PM, and since I still have the time, I decided to visit the Tokyo Skytree. I spent two hours relaxing there while reading the manga I bought in Mandarake. The city lights were comforting. I went out by 7:30 PM and went back to my hotel. I just ordered some foods in Rakuten Delivery, the popular food delivery app in Japan for my dinner.
I spent my third day in Yokohama, the largest city in Tokyo. It was just a 45-minute train ride from Akihabara to Yokohama, yet I decided to bring my stuff and spend one day there. I planned to go to Osaka in the morning, that is why I need to ready my belongings. Yokohama’s nightlife was the best among the best. In the morning, I have visited the largest Chinatown in Japan located in Yokohama and took my lunch in the Ramen Museum. I told you, ramen is my ultimate Japan go-to food. After my lunch, I had a quick trip to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, a large aquarium park in Yokohama. It was exhausting to roam around Yokohama, so I decided to went back to my hotel at 2 PM and respite a little bit. When my alarm rang around 4 PM, I prepared myself for exciting nightlife! After an hour of preparation, I went to Cosmo World, a small amusement park with thrilling rides. It was the first time I tried a roller coaster. I nearly died. I love the Ferris-wheel the most. I had a glimpse of Yokohama’s city lights. Then, I went to World Porters to eat my dinner and to shop a little bit for my essentials and souvenirs. World Porters is a shopping and entertainment complex. World Porters is just a five-minute walk from Cosmo World. It was a night full of fun, and I end up going to my hotel at 9 in the evening where I immediately slept.
I woke up around 10 AM, and I prepared my stuff for my final itinerary which is in Osaka where Universal Studios is there. By noon, I went to Yokohama Station and ready myself for a 3-hour-and-40-minutes bullet train ride. I arrived in Osaka at 4 PM. It was draining even I was sleeping from time to time. Moreover, it was a good day in Osaka! I rested for three hours, and at 7 PM, I went to Amerikamura to experience the American village in Japan. I also want to taste the best Takoyaki in Japan. I went back to my hotel at 9 PM and slept immediately since, in the morning, my Osaka trip will start! My Osaka trip was completed by going to Universal Studios and wandering in Osaka Castle. My last stop was in Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine to offer some prayers that my Japan trip was a success. I went back to Tokyo on my 6th day. I took the route train to Narita Airport in Tokyo since it is where my departure airport is. I arrived at noon and got some rest at the hotel I booked near the airport. I spent my last day roaming around Narita and shopping for some souvenirs in AEON Mall.
Being alone on my Japan travel is a very healing one. I learned a lot of things about Japan and, especially myself. It was a vacation that unleashed the other side of me. My independence is very commendable. This travel was so fulfilling that I can already die. Yet, I will still come back to you, Japan. Just wait a little bit.
Here's a little imaginary travelogue I made for one of my major subjects. Ghad, how I wish this is true.

What to Do on a 2-3 Week Trip?
Share…
Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean that’s known for its distinct culture, stunning nature, and ancient shrines. The variety of sights and landscapes in Japan is enormous, from snow-covered peaks and forests to subtropical islands. The country has excellent transportation, which makes it easy to travel fast and make the most of your journey.
It’s hard to pick the top destinations if you have limited time, but we’ll try to guide you on your way to plan a couple of weeks trip to this fascinating destination. Here is a Japan travel itinerary for a 2-3 week trip.
Where to start?
The majority of travellers enter Japan through Tokyo’s airports. From Tokyo, the train network, buses, and domestic flights allow you to explore destinations outside the capital. The airports in Sapporo, Osaka, and Fukuoka are popular arrival points as well. We recommend starting in either the north or south of Japan for the smoothest trip. When travelling from South Korea, travellers can also opt to take the ferry from Busan to Fukuoka.
If you purchase the JR Pass, you can use all trains for a duration of choice (7 days, 14 days, or 21 days).
When to go?
Every season in Japan has its perks, and your preferred month depends on the activities you want to do. Winter sports fanatics will feel at home in the mountains of Honshu and Hokkaido from December to March, while plenty of adventurers come to Japan to admire the legendary cherry blossoms from March to May. Summer, from May to September, is generally hot, while autumn is favoured for its vibrant colours.
Japan Itinerary Ideas
Below you’ll find a selection of some of the most exciting and interesting places to visit during your holiday in Japan. For more ideas on where to go head to Incredible and Best Places To Visit In Japan.
Hokkaido Island
This island in the north is famous as a winter sports destination, but this alone doesn’t do justice to Hokkaido. Nature here is mesmerising, from crater lakes to coastal cliffs. Hokkaido’s kitchen is also legendary, and the city of Sapporo is your best bet for a culinary rampage.
Highlights of Hokkaido
Sapporo – Indulge in freshly caught seafood in Nijo Market or feast on ramen in joints near Sapporo Station. Sapporo’s food scene is hardly rivalled in Japan.
Shiretoko National Park – Enjoy the mountains, lakes and wildlife (such as brown bears) in this unspoiled park.
Shirogane Blue Pond – The surreal colour of the lake is caused by natural minerals. This colour, together with the white birch trees sticking out of the water, makes for magical scenery.
Mount Hakodate – The views at night from this mountain are no less than spectacular. The city of Hakodate, located on a cape, lies wonderfully illuminated at the foot of Mount Hakodate.
Noboribetsu – Hokkaido has its fair share of hot springs, mainly centralised around the city of Noboribetsu. Walk into Hell Valley with its active volcanoes, or dip in one of the onsens – Japanese hot springs – in downtown Noboribetsu.

Tokyo
Tokyo is the capital and liveliest city in Japan; this metropolis combines hypermodern architecture with ancient cultural expressions, such as temples and palaces. Wander around the old neighbourhoods, ascend to one of the viewing platforms, and experience the legendary hidden eateries of Tokyo.
Highlights of Tokyo:
Tokyo Skytree – The Tokyo Skytree is a structure that towers over the city. You can take an elevator to the viewing platform at the height of 450 metres for stellar vistas of the capital.
Imperial Palace – Although destroyed during the Second World War, this gorgeous palace is beautifully restored and currently one of the city’s most cherished sights.
Tsukiji – This outdoor fish market is the best spot in town to sample fresh sushi and sashimi.
Digital Art Museum – Be enchanted by the art, that is displayed through digital projections. Some of the highlights include Future Park and Forest of Lamps, where you’re surrounded by ‘floating’ lamps.

Kyoto
Being one of Japan’s most sacred cities, Kyoto has plenty of spiritual sights to wander around. If you’re into age-old castles, temples, and palaces, Kyoto might just be the right city to settle down for a couple of days.
Highlights of Kyoto
The Golden Pavilion – This impressive pagoda wholly covered in gold leaf perhaps is Kyoto’s most significant eye-catcher.
Bamboo Forest – Being surrounded by the intense greenery of this bamboo grove is an extraordinary experience.
Honen-In Temple – Although not as exhilarating as the Golden Pavilion, the Honen-In Temple is a charming complex that lies in a beautiful forest. The colours in autumn are merely breathtaking.
Kyoto Imperial Palace – To get a glimpse of the residence of the imperial family until 1868, visit this expansive complex with its mansions and gardens.

From Tokyo, take a Shinkansen bullet train, which drops you in the heart of Kyoto in only 2 hours. It’s recommended to reserve a seat and choose a spot on the right side of the train, as Mount Fuji is visible on clear days.

Kyushu
As the third-largest island of Japan, Kyushu has a remarkable amount of natural highlights and compelling cities. Kyushu is the right archipelago to be at one with nature, see numerous waterfalls, and to learn about Japan’s dark past.
Highlights of Kyushu
Fukuoka – This large city is ground zero for ramen lovers; Fukuoka has many joints where you can slurp the soupy noodles to your heart’s content.
Takachiho Gorge – This gorge is favoured for its gushing waterfalls and towering volcanic rocks (seen below). You can paddle in a canoe for a close encounter with the basalt cliffs and waterfalls, or watch the spectacle from the viewing point.
Nagasaki – Just like Hiroshima, Nagasaki was bombed with an atomic bomb at the end of the Second World War. The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum shows the devastating aftermath, heartbreaking reports from eyewitnesses and the development of nuclear warfare.
Beppu – Famous for its natural hot springs, Beppu is an excellent town to dip into a traditional Japanese bath. The Hells of Beppu north of the centre consist of colourful mineral lakes, suitable for admiring than for bathing.
Length of stay
For a decent tour of Kyushu, take three days to see both the cities and some of the nature spots.
Accommodation
Here are a few places you could stay:
How to get to Kyushu?
From Kyoto, you have several options. One of them is taking a Shinkansen bullet train to Fukuoka or Kagoshima. Another choice you can make is hopping on a train to Kansai International Airport and fly to Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, or Kagoshima.
Okinawa
Based on photos, you might confuse Okinawa with tropical destinations like the Maldives or the Philippines. This archipelago is blessed with photogenic beaches and an abundance of marine life. But there’s more to this subtropical paradise, such as the atoll’s unique arts, museums, and heritage sites.
Highlights of Okinawa
Yambaru National Park – Find subtropical forests, mangrove swamps and rare animals, such as the flightless bird Okinawa rail.
Furuzamami Beach – The white sand, crystal blue water, and opportunity to snorkel in the coral gardens right off the shore make Furuzamami one of the most attractive beaches in the archipelago.
Shuri Castle – Once an imperial palace, Shuri Castle nowadays is one of the most dazzling pieces of architecture of the island group. The best parts include original gates and bridges from the 16th century.
Diving at Kabira Bay – Legendary for sightings of majestic manta rays, Kabira Bay off Ishigaki Island is dubbed ‘Manta City’. It is one of the most splendid dive sites of Okinawa.
Length of stay
It requires quite a bit of travelling to get around Okinawa. If you wish to see the forests and the underwater world, spend at least three days here.
Accommodation
Below are a few ideas on where to stay:
How to get to Okinawa?
Okinawa Island Airport receives flights from all over the country, including from cities such as Fukuoka and Tokyo. The southern islands Ishigaki and Miyakojima have airports as well, although the latter can only be reached by a direct flight from Tokyo.
Summary
The variety of things you can see and do in Japan is quite overwhelming; this Asian nation has a wide array of temples, palaces, and natural treasures. But with proper planning, you can experience many of the country’s cool features in two weeks or less.

Perjalanan Jepang 2018 (PART 1)
PART 1: PERSIAPAN HINGGA HARI PERTAMA
Untung udah nyatat alamat dan no hape hostnya. Akhirnya tidur aja deh. Host saya kerja malam pulang pagi jadi ga ketemu, baik banget hostnya mau nyediakan sarapan, tetapi saya rencana berangkat pagi terus jadi saya bilang ga usah nyediakan sarapan. Akhirnya waktu saya check in dia beliin makanan cukup banyak di 7-11 sayang saya ga bisa makan semua karena banyak yg mengandung daging (bisanya makan halal). Paling makan onigiri, salad, dan melonpan semoga halal (udah cek bahan dengan Google Translate). Pengeluaran hari ini di luar belanja pribadi: -Tarik tunai dari ATM 20.000 yen sekitar Rp2,7 juta -Isi ICOCA 7.000 yen B E R S A M B U N G... Ke PART 2: TOKYO 1

The far right is attacking Scholastic and their bookfairs by replacing them with Skytree publishing.
Wait until someone tells them about Japanese manga...
