ough I'm going through my stuff to cut down rn and I HATE that I have such a weird size because I would love to pass some of this stuff down to somebody but I simply do not know anyone who wears my same sizes

Augh. Hell and misery. I apparently have only knit socks for my sister in a specific weight of yarn, never noted my gauge, and used rows and stitches as measurements instead of inches. So I actually have no clue how big to make this sock and have been trying all day to figure out the measurements. And I am so confused. I forgot how much this part of sock making sucks

#main sources of confusion are that i know my sock has the correct circumference but it looks HUGE #and the length of womens size 7 US shoes is 9 inches and the pattern says start gussets when you have 4 inches left #so at 5 inches. but i dont even do 5 inches for MY feet which are much bigger #i think ive been doing somewhere around 3 inches #but then the math makes zero sense !!!! #i am also more out of it today than i have been in years and thats not helping #knitting #sock knitting #i will just have to have her try it on before i do the second one #and reknit it if its too big #sigh

Quick question as I am slowly working my way through the website debating an order lol. In your wearing expertise to Demonia platforms run to size or do you need to order a size below/above your actual size?

see i'm a uk 4.5. most manufacturers do not produce half sizes and this includes demonia. i always order size 4s for platforms (you want them to be a little snug rather than a little loose for stability sake) and 5s for like. running shoes

i couldn't tell you if a demonia 4 is big or small for a 4 because i... am not a 4 myself i just have to buy shoes a half size wrong anyway but all the time

#all i can tell you is a 4 is a GOOD snug fit if you're a 4.5 #(US womens 6 i believe and i am really a 6.5) #shein produce half sizes though which is probably why any shoes i get from them are incredibly comfortable and also hold up WAY longer like #legitimately #sorry to say it but they just do #people make .5 shoe sizes so my options aren't 'wear the wrong size' or 'shein' challenge #for the price of demonia you'd think they could manage more sizes

soooo im having kind of an emergency situation, the tl;dr of it is that i need to buy two new pairs of shoes for work but i only have $50 to last me until next week. i started a new position at work that requires waterproof shoes, and i THOUGHT my boots were waterproof but i learned the hard way that they very much are not. my one pair of work shoes are now falling apart, so i need to buy new work shoes AND rain boots. i cant go to work without shoes obviously, but i need to go to work to like. live and survive. im very distraught about this, i dont know what else to even do.
