Back with some Holiday Cheer!

Since my Halloween mod list did well and a lot of you guys seemed to have liked it, I thought I'd gather up some Christmas type mods for you guys to try in your game! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and the happiest new year!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🎁🎁🎁🥂🥂🥂🥂

Holidays Mod: A mod that takes known holidays in the sims universe and puts it in Sim 2. Helps for you to know what time of year it is and plan parties around it.

New Party Type Mods: Doesn’t have a Christmas party but there is a formal party and you can plan a fancy Christmas shin dig for your sims if that is the type of vibe you’re going for! There’s also other cool parties you can do for your sims ANY time of the year with this mod!

Exchange Gifts: This is a cool mod that you can exchange gifts at any type of party, You can decorate for a Christmas gathering and have your sims exchange gifts while there, this is also handy for when you want to plan birthday parties!

Autonomous Gift Giving at Parties: With this mod, you can plan a party and your sims will gift sims on their own which makes for a natural flow at any type of party but is perfect for a Christmas gathering.

Openable Gifts+Recolores! This is a Sim Wardrobe mod that got recolored with some festive recolors, perfect gift to put under the tree! . Original SW mod included!

Gift Cards: Stuck on a gift idea for your sim’s half cousin twice removed? Look no further! A gift card, always a safe bet when it comes to gifts during the holidays!

I'd really love to fix The Sims 2 Holidays Mod but I can't figure it out😖

I really love the concept of Piqiwi's holiday mod but it has quite a few bugs unfortunately.

I successfully managed to fix sims getting paid for days they wouldn't have been working thanks to @nopke.

And, @jellymeduza implemented a workaround for the problem that it causes the walk to work interaction to be missing completely.

But it has more problems I haven't been able to resolve yet.

From my experience, once a holiday has happened, the sims work schedule will never actually restart, so even on a non-holiday day, there'll be no 'sim needs to be at work in one hour' and the carpool will never show, not until I force off-world errors with the batbox.

Another annoyance, especially with the community time project, is that if the sim is off lot on a holiday at the time they'd usually get paid, they will never get their holiday work pay.

Who else uses this mod? Who else has experienced these problems? Does anyone know how to fix them or have any ideas about how to?

Santa’s Retreat

“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire… Jack Frost nipping at your nose.”

As the freezing temperatures set in over the quaint village, many seek shelter and comfort in Santa’s Retreat in hopes of easing holiday stress. Some will get warm by the fireplace while listening to sounds of the piano, while others might head upstairs for a massage from the village’s best (and only) massage therapist around or sweat out all those Christmas cookies in the hot ‘n toasty sauna. After some much needed relaxation, why not head downstairs and have a good ‘ole toast with those they love around the Christmas tree, perhaps make some hot soup in the mini bar, touch up on piano skills or just simply relax and unwind on the couch with a good movie? No matter who you are, Santa’s Retreat is sure to offer a warm and inviting atmosphere to ring in the holiday cheer and spirit!

Santa’s Toy Store & Workshop

“Our finest gifts we bring, Pa rum pum pum pum”

What will the kids do on this little holiday trip, you might ask? Fear not, as Santa’s Toy Store and Workshop will be sure to keep the kids entertained for hours! Planes… trains… and automobiles…. Oh my! While parents and grandparents shop around for that one special gift, the kids can let their imagination run wild at the train table, zoom around remote controlled hot rods and helicopters or perhaps find something fun in one of the toy chests! And for parents who are just as much kids like their own, they can head upstairs to Santa’s Workshop and learn how to make their own toys… oh, the simoleons that will be saved this Christmas! And don’t forget to check out those picturesque views on the rooftop… capture that special moment and paint the perfect holiday picture. Just don’t freeze up there… brrrr. It’s a lil chilly!

Join in any reindeer games, you say? No one needs to feel left out… as there are certainly no shortage of games here at Santa’s Clubhouse! This central area of the village is a great place to seek refuge, catch up with friends and family with chats by the fire and play timeless games upstairs. So… how about a coffee, nice game of chess by the fireplace and a holiday movie afterwards? Sounds quite delightful. What’s that? You’ve got more simoleons than you know what to do with? Hmm… I know! How about a game of poker? Just don’t lose all your money before enjoying the other festive activities this wonderland’s got to offer!

Pop! Sizzle! Delish! What better way to ring in the holiday than at Cheers Bar & Bistro? Right next store from Santa’s Clubhouse you’ll find a grand hallway and entrance to this cozy restaurant nestled up on a hill overlooking the entire village. Grab some holiday cheer inspired drinks at the bar and dine downstairs for or make your way upstairs to the family style dining room complete with a fireplace and covered outdoor dining! Whether you’re in it for the drinks or just want a little date night with the honey, Cheers is sure to leave everyone full of tasty food and fun!

So you made it to Santa’s Wonderland… but you just realized… it’s so cold and you didn’t bring your winter clothes…. One stop by The Holiday Stop ‘N Shop will surely fix that! In addition there’s magazines and cologne for sale to make this lil shopping trip well worth it!

🎄 Advent SIMSlendar 2023 🎄

It's my favourite time of the year, so I'm back with another challenge! At first, I was planning this to be just a CAS challenge, but then I thought: why not let everyone approach the prompt as they like? Make new sims, make over old ones, build, decorate rooms, create edits or lookbooks, maybe a little bit of everything or something entirely different? It's all up to you, just have fun this holiday season.

Just like with my previous challenges, you can start posting whenever you’d like! But since I had an advent calendar in mind for this challenge, I’m personally starting on December 1st and will end on December 24th.
