00: Foul Ball.

You run into the tallest man you’ve ever seen in your life at your favorite local coffee shop.

Literally, while moving to your usual seat this giant of a man, not paying attention on his phone, smacks right into you spilling both his and your hot drinks all over you.

It burns, thankfully not that much. Mainly embarrassment and annoyance burn you more. Frustratingly you try to dab away the mess with the pathetic wad of napkins the guy shoves at you.

“Look! Please let me pay for another drink and anything else you want!” Your mystery man

“No it’s fine.” You seethe trying to gather your dignity.

“Aw come on! Those pumpkin cheesecake muffins look pretty good! Don’t you want one?!” He cries almost desperate.

Turning up you’re about to snap at him when you finally get a very good look at your current enemy.

He’s tall with striking cloud white hair. Sleek modern sunglasses slide down his nose as azure pool eyes stay focused on you. And of course he’s absolutely gorgeous.

To save your sanity your eyes dart to the bakery display and spot those muffins he mentioned.

“…okay fine. But I also want a croissant.” You mutter.

He buys you two of each.

You’re also surprised at how adamantly he drags you to sit down at a table.

“We can break bread together over our temporary peace treaty.” He beams.

The man is annoying charming, like a song you find annoying but can’t help but still bop your head to.

He’s new in town, actually moved here all the way from Japan.

“That’s a long way from home.” You admire genuinely. “What brought you out here?”

“Work.” He says simply and with a shrug.

Your mystery man rapidly and eagerly jumps to ask about you, where you work, what you do.

It feels…like a pity conversation. As easy as it is talking to him, you know this is unfolding simply because he ran into you and is trying to just smooth things over.

“Look,” you sigh picking at your croissant. “We don’t have to do this.” You wearily wave your hand between the you and him. “The pathetic small talk and all that. I get it, accidents happen and I appreciate the apology muffin. But you can head out.”

“Don’t forget the ‘I’m a clumsy and unaware idiot’ croissant I got you.” He adds and your lips twitch.

“And come on. I’m not that boring to talk to am I?”

He isn’t and it annoys you even more.

“Besides, who says I maybe just wanna chat with the cute stranger I accidentally spilled various drinks on?” He smile wide at you and it’s dangerous.

He’s dangerous.

Mystery man vows to run into you again same time next week and he is true to his words. In his hands are more pastry treats and your drink order, because of course he remembered.

It’s then that you finally learn his name.

“Gojo, Satoru Gojo.” He introduces himself. “Though you can call me cute coffee guy.” He smoothly adds.

You refuse to call him that and he playfully cries.

Again, it shocks you how just easy it is talking to him. Conversation is casual and so effortless. Gojo eagerly listens to your recommendations about places to visit, restaurants to try out.

“As long as you go with me! I need my own cute tour guide unless I’ll get lost.” Gojo pleads.

You roll your eyes and hate how fast your heart beats at his words.

Then his phone goes off. Sighing Gojo answers it. You give him privacy by looking at your own phone. However, you can’t help but catch bits of the conversation. He talks about a photo shoot scheduled for the end of the week and how his agent will be making any adjustments to the time slot.

And it clicks. He’s a model. He’s definitely a model.

“Sorry, work being dumb.” Gojo apologizes as he hangs up.

“No worries.” You reassure him casually. You realize you never fully asked about his job last time.

“So, what do you do?” This time you make sure to.

Gojo’s wide sky eyes flicker to you as he takes a sip of his tea.

“Oh I’m a professional baseball player.”

He answers so casually while setting his drink down, like he just told you about the weather. For some reason you can’t help but laugh. Because model made sense, but a baseball player?

“What?!” Gojo cries playfully. “I’m serious look!”

Suddenly he grabs his phone again. He quickly types something on it and turns it to you.

What he did was Google himself. Because of course he did. Low and behold, you discover he is indeed not a model.

Instead, you see his broad shoulders, his tall frame, looking infuriatingly gorgeous in a uniform -

And you learn that your mystery coffee man, Satoru Gojo, is in fact a very real and actually very famous professional baseball player.

So! 2023 had its hard moments for me and sometimes it felt so foggy… but the most shining aspect of this year was getting back to writing honestly

I haven’t publicly posted fic in YEARS Sel and I mean years because of how discourage and embarassed I felt! But this year, because I had those foggy hermit like moments, it made me want to just connect more with people and get back some of my spark - and I knew that came with writing

So to think that choice to just jump back into writing brought me here? To you? And to so many wonderful moments and people is something I will cherish forever!!!! ♥️

And ah 2024!! I try not to do too many resolutions but my big hopes for this year are to cook more new dishes (so tell me what’s your favorite recipe to cook!) and to write fic for characters I haven’t written for before! To like, spread my wings a bit ya know?!

So the parts of Gojo I love exploring are strangely enough his humanity (if this makes sense omg rip) like the way he interacts with others in any universe and how he shoulders his ties and connections with others I think is so interesting to see in different scenarios! His humanity is so unique and tied distinctly to his abilities and who he is as a sorcerer! So then getting to see how that works in different situations & even sometimes when he’s not a sorcerer has been such a great way to just explore his character more (unfortunately) LOL

And to me his most persistent quality that I believe doesn’t change no matter where or when you drop this moron into, is how silly he can be 😔

He’s such a weird guy and has a weird way of interacting with people and he’s such a peak Sagittarius with how he holds his energy and loves to giggle and even be a bit of a pest but it’s out of a way of wanting to connect with people, he’s so SILLY AND I HATE HIM abdudbehGSYSGHS

My favorite thing to do during spring is honestly just take more walks! The weather is so lovely this time here and just catching more new wildflowers blooming or even trying to spot cardinals flying around is so simple but it’s so spring to me (I’m boring I know 😭) 🌱💕✨

He might not seem like it but Satoru is such a big fan of the cherry blossoms coming into bloom, I think he gets so into planning the picnics to go visit and see the trees in full bloom (probably for sure pays to get a selective spot and gets really territorial over it cause he’s a spoiled baby LOL) but the way the trees turn so lovely and soft and he gets to feel so normal just sitting beneath them trying to steal all the sweets he brought for us is what he loves most 🌸💕🥹

Ooo good question! Hm…I don’t know if this is a good writing habit but I’ve been trying to let my writing sit for a few days and before I go in to edit it! Back in my early writing days I would just get too excited that I finished something and then rush to post it but now I wanna go over and make sure it reads good and I can try checking for errors ya know!

So I think my descriptions maybe need more improvement, I’ve always really felt proud of my dialogue and like the core of my ideas but I feel like I can never fully get into deeply describing things or maybe getting more poetic with those descriptors!

So!!! Back when I was little and all of our very big extended family would spend Christmas together i’d have to get ready and get dressed up (which was so annoying lol) but now thankfully now that we’re all kinda grown up we decided we can all do our own thing!

Now I get to lounge in my Christmas sweats all day and just enjoy a very cozy day with my favorite immediate family members who also appreciate not dressing up too LOL

And…as much as I would be so weak to see Satoru dressed up and looking so handsome, I think just seeing him in lazy cozy pj’s is what he deserves 😭 plus I already can see him getting us embarrassing matching pj’s sets that have his shirt saying something like “#1 on Santa’s Nice List” whereas mine says I’m on the naughty list but let’s be real that moron has never been on the nice list LMAOOOO

So I think my main habit I’ve been really proud of is mediation! It’s not much and sometimes I can even just see it as the times I’m present just doing my skincare, but just giving myself that mental space to be with my thoughts or even get out of my thoughts has been so important to me 🤍

His habit that I love has to be how dedicated he is to training, like you would think he’s a bit lazy and arrogant about being the strongest so that he doesn’t train but it’s because of that he trains even harder and more than anyone maybe realizes…

So Gojo is a spoiled brat and 💯 hogs the blankets LOL and what makes it worse is that, because he’s always running his curse and reverse curse techniques, he runs warmer too and doesn’t need to hog all the blankets but he’s a possessive silly creature at his core and so he just HAS to yank all the blanket all to himself and I want to strangle him LMAOOO

But I am the little gremlin who LOVES to press their cold toes and hands to others and Gojo for sure is my number one target heeheehe ⛄️😇
