TRAs are upset with JK Rowling for calling  a man who raped and murdered a 13 year old girl in a racist gang attack ….a man.
Trans users on Twitter are attacking JK Rowling after the Harry Potter author “misgendered” an account belonging to a trans-identified male convicted of murdering a 13-year-old child in a racist gang attack.
On November 29, JK Rowling called attention to a social media account under the handle @gameonterfs, posting two screenshots — one of a tweet from the account celebrating the fantasy of her death, and another of the profile photo that account was using.
While it is currently unknown if Rowling is aware, the account she brought attention to is one of several belonging to convicted child murderer Luis Morales, better known as Synthia China Blast.
Tumblr media
On October 24, Reduxx reported that Blast had been discharged from his parole with the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision on July 30, quietly marking the end of his sentence and release conditions. Blast had been serving a 25-to-life sentence after being convicted in 1996 for the murder of 13-year-old Ebony Williams.
Blast, along with his boyfriend Carlos Franco, members of the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation gang, had targeted the young girl in 1993 as she made her way to her older sister’s house. Williams was taken to an apartment in Hunts Point where she was held captive. It is believed the murder had racist motivations due to Blast and Franco’s gang affiliation.
According to case investigators at the time, Blast and Franco tortured the young girl before stabbing her repeatedly.
Realizing she was still alive after having been slashed by Blast, Franco then stomped on the child’s neck until it was broken. Prior to being killed, Blast had reportedly sexually assaulted the girl. New York Police Department examiners determined that the child’s corpse, despite being badly burned, showed signs of the assault.
Tumblr media
Following her death, Blast and Franco packed the girl’s naked body into a box and dumped it near the Sheridan Expressway. Finally, they doused the box in gasoline, and set it ablaze. A passenger on a nearby train saw the flames and called 911.During the trial, Bronx Prosecutor William Hrabsky said of the crime: “The suffering that this poor child went through is beyond belief and puts this crime in the category of monstrous and barbarous.” Despite pleading innocence in court and to media in later interviews, Blast had reportedly “bragged” about committing the crime to friends, some of whom would later testify against Blast and Franco on that basis. Williams’ mother, Yvonne Hill, had also asserted that Blast and Franco had appeared to be entertained by the trial proceedings, and showed no signs of remorse. “Ever since the trial was going on, all I see is Luis Morales grinning and Carlos Franco, too,” Hill said during a victim impact statement, referring to Blast by the name he had used at the time. “You ain’t smiling today. I hope you both rot in hell.”On November 7, Reduxx received an e-mail response about the article, with an anonymous messenger complaining that the piece had noted allegations that Blast had sexually assaulted Williams before her murder. The e-mail address, beginning with the numbers 4300, falsely asserted that Blast had been exonerated of the crime and that his conviction had been overturned. The sender had also vaguely threatened a lawsuit or some sort of legal action against Reduxx for the piece.
Tumblr media
The same day, a Twitter account surfaced with the handle @Code4300, impersonating Reduxx Editor-in-Chief Anna Slatz, using her photo and Reduxx branding without authorization.
While posing as Slatz, @Code4300 claimed to be in a relationship with a trans-identified male and called for a boycott against, and the banning of, Reduxx. The owner of the account also made several references to Blast and asserted his innocence, using both the female pseudonym and his birth name, Luis Morales, as well as made wild claims that Blast had died in July of 2022.
Reduxx contributor Jennifer Gingrich was similarly targeted by the account’s disturbing posts, which also began to use her profile photo and post sexualized comments about her.
Shortly after, the e-mail address associated with the sender of the November 7 complaint as well as the @Code4300 account were linked to an Instagram belonging to Synthia China Blast.
Tumblr media
Though @Code4300 was ultimately suspended by Twitter, Blast continued to make accounts which engaged in similar conduct. Among them, Blast established multiple profiles railing against ‘TERFs’ — a derogatory term for women who assert their right to single-sex spaces.
“For the record, my name is Synthia China Blast and I was wrongfully convicted of murder,” Blast tweeted on November 10 from one of his alternate Twitter profiles which had briefly used the handle “TERFHunter.” The tweet has since been deleted.
Tumblr media
Other handles on Twitter known to belong to Blast include @Lords_ofKaos, @FXTravaganza, and @gameonterfs, the account which Rowling called attention to on November 29. All three accounts carry on a similar posting style to Blast’s original @Code4300, and have parallel usernames and monikers associated with Blast’s multiple Instagram accounts and real-world identities.
Blast is utilizing a heavily doctored photo of himself as the profile picture on @FXTravaganza, while @gameonterfs uses a stolen photo belonging to individuals who are not related to him or his crimes in any way. On @Lords_ofKaos, Blast is using the profile photo from @gameonterfs as an account header.
All of the accounts repeat Blast’s earlier incoherent claims which simultaneously assert that his conviction was overturned, and that he died in June or July of 2022. As evidence of the second claim, Blast uploaded a poorly doctored Death Transcript to his @FXtravaganza account
Tumblr media
Despite his claims to the contrary, Blast’s conviction was never overturned.
Blast completed his sentence in July of 2022 when the Parole Board of the state of New York discharged him fully, marking the end of the conditions he had been subjected to since 2018 when he was initially released.
Kristina Lennon, a Correctional Sentencing Review Specialist with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision confirmed Blast’s discharge to Reduxx via e-mail on November 18.
Blast’s accounts have also continued their habitual harassment of Reduxx Editor-in-Chief Anna Slatz and Reduxx contributor Jennifer Gingrich. Yet Gingrich received a 24-hour suspension after she responded to Blast and correctly identified him as the murderer of Ebony Nicole Williams.
Rowling’s tweet calling attention to Blast’s alternate account has attracted the usual attention of trans activists and those critical of women’s right to single-sex spaces, with many rushing to defend the account from Rowling’s platform, likely ignorant as to who was behind it.
Some took issue with Rowling “misgendering” the account owner by using the term “bro,” while others claimed Rowling was engaging in “kink shaming” or expressing homophobia.
Tumblr media
Many incorrectly claimed @gameonterfs was Rowling’s own creation, or had been made by a radical feminist posing as a trans-identified individual. They pointed to the fact the accounts largely followed gender critical women as “proof,” unaware that Blast typically follows those associated with his targets in an effort to get their attention.
Following his incarceration, Blast became a noted advocate for incarcerated trans people’s rights, successfully demanding the state of New York provide him with feminizing hormones in 1999, and suing the state in 2003 after having been refused sex reassignment surgery.
Blast repeatedly became a media sensation for his sexual exploits while in custody, beginning a romantic relationship with Heriberto “Eddie” Seda, a convicted serial killer who had sought to murder one person of each zodiac sign as an homage to San Francisco’s infamous Zodiac Killer. Blast and Seda’s relationship was dotingly covered by New York Magazine in 2004, who even commissioned a portrait photograph of the couple.
Blast and Seda were ultimately separated from each other by the Department of Corrections.
Blast was regularly profiled in media throughout his incarceration, and became a subject championed by prison abolitionists who decried his extended stay in solitary confinement. During his incarceration, Blast became a regular contributor to The Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), an organization which provides assistance to inmates on how to legally change their identification documents.
In 2014, Orange is the New Black actor and SRLP representative Laverne Cox read a letter in support of Blast. But Cox quickly retracted the gushing words after learning more about the crime Blast was convicted of.
Following his initial parole in 2018, Blast was an intern and Prisoner Advisory Committee member for the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
If trans people are so oppressed aren’t there other trans people out there deserving of the support the alphabet people are giving this guy? More people are seeing the support for a child killer and it’s making more people back away from the cause.

SRLP was formed in August 2002 by Dean Spade. It was named for Sylvia Rivera, the veteran of the Stonewall Riots and the transgender activist who died the same year that SRLP was founded. The goals of SRLP are to provide access to legal services for low-income transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming people, provide public education and policy reform to end state-sanctioned discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. The organization also aims to build a collective organization that develops the leadership of low-income transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming people of color while participating in the larger movement for racial, social, and economic justice. As Dean Spade himself puts it, "Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP) is committed to providing people with some basic services. We see providing survival services as central to our goal of building racial and economic justice-centered trans resistance.
Since 2002, SRLP has helped countless queer people. Their mission statement is “The Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence. SRLP is a collective organization founded on the understanding that gender self-determination is inextricably intertwined with racial, social and economic justice. Therefore, we seek to increase the political voice and visibility of low-income people of color who are transgender, intersex, or gender non-conforming. SRLP works to improve access to respectful and affirming social, health, and legal services for our communities. We believe that in order to create meaningful political participation and leadership, we must have access to basic means of survival and safety from violence.”

WMST 1101 Study Guide 2.3
Tumblr media
Prison Industrial Complex and Abuse
Main takeaways: System of oppression take forms instead of being eradicated
Rehabilitation issues in prison due to disconnection of society.
If the intent is to punish in prison then they're completing their goal, but if it’s to create a better society there are issues along this line.
Statistics regarding incarceration rates between white men vs. black men. Specific intersections are impacted in unique ways/ being a man is not an advantage in the prison system it’s actually a disadvantage.
Mass incarceration and policing within all genders/ identities.
Transgender Individuals: Nearly one in six transgender Americans- and one in two black transgender people have been to prison.
“Violence against TGNC people tends to be worse in places that are separated by sex such as county jails, immigration facilities and prisons. In the United States, transgender incarcerated people are still usually housed according to the sex assigned at birth, instead of by gender identity—one’s inner sense of being male, female or something else.” Transgender Incarcerated People In Crisis
“The transgender prison crisis is part of a larger pattern of violence and discrimination in U.S. society that disproportionately affects people of color, poor people and transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people.
“Over-policing and profiling of low-income people and of trans and gender-nonconforming people intersect,” as the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP) describes it, “producing a far higher risk than average of imprisonment, police harassment and violence for low-income trans people.” Transgender Incarcerated People In Crisis
Women: At the national level, including both state and federal imprisonment, 47 out of every 100,000 women were in prison in 2021.
Over the past 20 years the war on drugs has caused a significant rise in the number of women incarcerated and their access to adequate drug treatment. Many women in prison have experienced physical or sexual trauma at the hands of men.
Access to feminine products is an issue within women in incarceration.
Discrimination issues between white women vs. black women.
Men: Men are over 8 times more likely than women to be incarcerated in prison at least once during their lifetime.
Male prisoners, who made up 93% of the total prison population at year-end 2018, declined by almost 23,500 (down 1.7%) from year-end 2017
Discrimination issues between white men vs. black men.
Disabled Individuals: Overall, an estimated 66 percent of incarcerated people were disabled.
While behind bars, people with disabilities are often deprived of necessary medical care, as well as needed support, services, and accommodations.
Many inmates with disabilities are held in solitary confinement—reportedly, in many cases, for their own protection, due to a lack of appropriate alternative accommodations.
Federal and state jails and prisons are now home to three times as many people with mental health conditions as state mental hospitals.

Smartbar Picks: 6/25-6/26
Tumblr media
The Blessed Madonna
BY JORDAN MAINZER
The legendary dance club Smartbar reopened last Friday with no masking or social distancing requirements but proof of completed vaccination! (Go Smartbar!) Here are a couple shows there this weekend I’d recommend; while advance tickets are sold out, there will be tickets available at the door.
6/25: Eris Drew B2B Octo Octa
We’ve included a B2B set with DJs Eris Drew and Octo Octa before, mentioning that Octo Octa’s 2019 record Resonant Body was our #9 album of that year. Over the past year and a half, each has released material both on their own and collaboratively. Octo Octa came out with a dreamy, corporeal EP earlier this year, She’s Calling, which consists of two songs and an evocation. (50% of profits from album purchase go towards the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, which “works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.”) Drew’s debut solo release was last February’s Fluids of Emotion, a truly spiritual 3-song collection of House and Breakbeat jams made for legendary Detroit label Interdimensional Transmissions. Lastly, the two released a split single for fabric last November.
Also performing B2B are Smartbar resident DJ Ariel Zetina and Miss Twink USA. The night is hosted by performer and choreographer Darling Shear and Sophie Bee.
6/26: The Blessed Madonna
The Dua Lipa album remixer returns to Smartbar tomorrow night. Since then, she’s released a New Years Eve 2021 mix, remixes for Jungle and The Chemical Brothers (the latter released just today), and a single with Fred Again called “Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)”, a mournful, yet hopeful treatise on how COVID-19 affected the club world. Her dropping this track in a Smartbar set would be an undeniably cathartic moment.
DJs Shaun J. Wright and Smartbar favorite Harry Cross also perform.

Hey friends! So I’m selling some art to raise at least $300 for the Sylvia Rivera Law Project by the end of February 2018!
I’ve put 5 pairs of these 5x7 prints on my Etsy to start off, but I’ll definitely add more if there’s demand! 100% of the profit will be donated and I am covering the cost of production.
So if you like these and you want to feel good about supporting an incredibly important cause, I’d appreciate your support more than anything! (and if you’re unable to buy, even just sharing this post would mean the world)
There will be much more up soon, but the link to my shop is here! Keep an eye out for more prints, originals, and zines coming soon!

. PPD staat voor Published Price to Dealer. Mo money, less problems. . #muziekrecht #muziekcontract #platencontract #ppd #srlp #musiclaw #recorddeal #momoneylessproblems #sanderpetit #petitlegal #danceadvocaat #dancelawyer #instalawyer #entertainmentlaw PS: Fijne jaarwisseling alvast! Ik wens jullie een muzikaal, gezond en succesvol 2020. 🎇 (bij Petit Legal) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6vCHB8AulO/?igshid=16qcafacvznj8

In these times of growing anxiety it’s hard to know how to respond and it’s hard not to feel helpless.  I always say that local interventions are the best strategy against anxiety, so to fight my own feeling of helplessness I’m trying to directly support two local organizations doing work I believe in: Make the Road New York and the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
A lot of people have told me in the last few months that they feel embarrassed giving only 1 or 2 dollars to a worthy cause.  You should never feel embarrassed about wanted to give - every dollar matters to a small organization.  But I thought this ebook might be a good way for people to feel like they’re buying something, rather than only “giving” a dollar.
Even if you can’t afford to support, please share/boost the signal.  Help me give these two amazing organizations the biggest check that I can so they can keep doing the crucial work that they do.

Trigger warning: discusses the sexual assault and murder of a child
A social media account harassing, impersonating, and threatening women critical of gender ideology appears to belong to a trans-identified male convicted of the brutal torture and murder of a 13-year-old child.
On October 24, Reduxx reported that Synthia China Blast had been discharged from his parole with the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision on July 30, quietly marking the end of his sentence and release conditions.
Blast, born Luis Morales, was sentenced in 1996 for the horrific murder of 13-year-old Ebony Nicole Williams. Blast, along with his boyfriend Carlos Franco, were sentenced to 25 years for the crime, one that had both sexist and racist motivations.
Blast and Franco, members of the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation gang, targeted the young girl less than 24 hours after she had run away from home. Williams taken to an apartment in Hunts Point where she was held captive.
Following her death, Blast and Franco packed the girl’s naked body into a box and dumped it near the Sheridan Expressway. Finally, they doused the box in gasoline, and set it ablaze. A passenger on a nearby train saw the flames and called 911. Blast and Franco were apprehended shortly after the body was retrieved by police.
Tumblr media
During the trial, Bronx Prosecutor William Hrabsky said of the crime: “The suffering that this poor child went through is beyond belief and puts this crime in the category of monstrous and barbarous.”
Despite pleading innocence in court and to media in later interviews, Blast had reportedly “bragged” about committing the crime to friends, some of whom would later testify against him on this basis.
While a rape conviction was never pursued, as the girl’s body had been too severely mutilated for authorities to collect a DNA sample, Blast and Franco both received 25-to-life for the murder of Williams.
One week after the publication of the Reduxx article reporting on Blast’s discharge from parole, Reduxx received an email from an account infuriated that the piece had mentioned the allegations that Blast had raped Williams. The email was sent from an address beginning with the number ‘4300.’
Tumblr media
The same day, a Twitter account surfaced with the handle @Code4300, impersonating Reduxx Editor-in-Chief Anna Slatz, using her photo and Reduxx branding.
While posting highly disturbing, sexualized comments on Slatz, the account began following women’s rights advocates on Twitter in a clear effort to get their attention.
Tumblr media
While posing as Slatz, the @Code4300 account claimed to be in a relationship with a trans-identifying male and called for a boycott against, and the banning of, Reduxx. The owner of the account also made several references to Blast and asserting his innocence, using both the female pseudonym and his birth name, Luis Morales.
The account also threatened Slatz, and claimed to have her home address. Within 24 hours, it began cycling through impersonating other female contributors and supporters of Reduxx, using their names and profile photos to post disturbing content.
Shortly after, @Code4300 was linked to an Instagram account similarly utilizing the ‘4300’ moniker — one which was quickly discovered to belong to Synthia China Blast.
Tumblr media
On Instagram, Blast posted about being in a women’s shelter in 2020, which would have been shortly after he was paroled. Around that same time, he advertised a bed available in his apartment for rent, requesting only “men into trans women or women into trans women” apply.
While using the @Code4300 moniker on Twitter, Blast had engaged in repeated calls for violence against women, and in particular women who are critical of the notion that men can become women.
“TERFs are not only anti-trans they are also anti-men. We must eradicate them before their diseases spread to our young children,” read the account’s description, which has since been changed, along with the username and profile photo.
Since being exposed as running the account on Twitter, Blast has continued to assert his innocence of the crimes he was convicted of — a trend that follows his previous claims to media that he was wrongfully accused.
In addition to calling for violence against women, the author made statements suggesting he believes that trans-identifying males are superior to women.
Tumblr media
Prior to engaging in the targeted harassment of Reduxxstaff and women associated with the publication, @Code4300 claimed to be in favor of “abolishing prisons,” and celebrated both the shooting of a police officer and the stabbing of a Corrections Officer at Rikers Island.
In the following days, a second Twitter account claiming to be Blast was created using the name HuntingTERFs.
“For the record, my name is Synthia China Blast and I was wrongfully convicted of murder,” reads one post from November 10.
Tumblr media
The second account also boasted that another convictionwould see Blast placed in a women’s prison. “If I’m ever again arrested, I go with the females now. No more men’s prison for me,” @KillingTime1235 wrote.
The account appears primarily dedicated to posting screenshots of female-committed crimes, with the intention of proving that “cis women are extremely violent and dangerous.”
Tumblr media
In 2014, prominent transgender actor Laverne Cox appeared in a now-deleted promotional video produced by a trans activist prison reform lobbying organization, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP).
In the video, Cox stated his support for the SRLP and the organization’s Prisoner Advisory Committee (PAC). He then read a letter from Blast which appealed to viewers’ sympathies and described his situation while incarcerated as a “denial of basic human rights.”
Cox later distanced himself from Blast after learning more details about the crimes he was convicted for.
In 2019, one year after Blast was first paroled, he appeared in a video posted to the SRLP’s official Facebook page, and was described as a Political Action Committee member and intern.
Tumblr media
I came from being in a jail cell to learning about SRLP and its mission, who Sylvia Rivera, as a person, actually was, and … about Marsha P. Johnson, and I was definitely hooked into this movement,” Blast said.
“We all have a voice. And we live in a time, today, where that voice is finally being heard. We haven’t reached that milestone yet. We are all screaming together, and now they are finally listening,” Blast says, then promoting the SRLP as a center which can help transgender people change their names and legal identity.
“Whenever I find a transgender person, I ask them: Do you know about the Sylvia Rivera Law Project?”
Reduxx previously revealed another trans-identifying male convict who was specifically selected by the SRLP to participate in trans advocacy and prison reform campaigning. Xena Grandichelli, born Jeffrey Willsea, is a convicted child sex offender who has performed community outreach services for the SRLP. In 1994, Grandichelli pleaded guilty to 11 counts of sexual abuse involving a 3 year-old girl.
Grandichelli partnered with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP) and was designated as a Movement Building Teammember. In a 2015 letter posted to the SRLP website, Grandichelli described how team members from the organization actively worked to recruit him while he was still incarcerated for sexually abusing a child.
Despite providing advocacy for convicted child abusers, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project receives the financial support of several notable institutions and figures, including the Stonewall Community Foundation and the trans-identifying medical and pharmaceutical millionaire Martine Rothblatt.
Blast is not the only trans-identified murderer who has been utilizing social media to threaten women critical of gender ideology.
In 2021, it was discovered that Swedish murdererMagdala Johansson had been targeting Twitter accounts who had posted details about his grisly crime.
Johansson, born Kristoffer, was convicted in 2013 of the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Vatchareeya Bangsuan. Johansson stabbed Bangsuan to death before dismembering her and scattering her body parts in a nearby forested area. Some sources have also reported that Johansson masturbated over Bangsuan’s mutilated corpse, spreading his semen on her body parts.
Johansson was ultimately sentenced to 14 years, which was overturned on appeal to 10. He served just 6 years before being released in 2020.
Much like Blast, on Twitter and Instagram, Johansson called himself a “TERF Hunter,” and made misogynistic posts about women critical of gender ideology, sometimes while showing off his gun collection.

Areas of work
Tumblr media
Much of the SRLP's work centers around legislative reform, especially surrounding prisons and what sends people there. Founder Dean Spade is particularly interested in the intersection of race and sexuality/gender expression, and crime related to these issues. As he puts it, hate crime laws "focus on punishment and have not been shown to actually prevent bias-motivated violence... Hate criminology laws strengthen and legitimize the criminal punishment system, a system that targets the very people that these laws are supposedly passed to protect. The criminal punishment system has the same biases (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia) that advocates of these laws want to eliminate."
SRLP members acknowledge that the system is the problem with regards to discrimination towards gender. SRLP's organizers, lawyers and grassroots activists work on a variety of issues, including prison abolition, reform of gender-segregated facilities, and identity documents, as well as name changes, health care advocacy, ID replacement, criminal history, prisoner rights, access to gender affirming garments and hormones in prison, immigration relief such as asylum or Visas, naturalization, and other legal and social services.
In the court case Rodriguez v. Johnson et al., 20-year-old transgender woman Alyssa Rodriguez was incarcerated at the Red Hook Residential Center under the Office of Children and Family Services in Dutchess County, New York. Under their care, Rodriguez was denied her hormonal treatment, and disciplined for her effeminate gender expression. SRLP, in association with Lambda Legal, won Rodriguez a substantial sum of cash in return for the emotional distress imposed on her.

WE MUST BE PROUD
Tumblr media
We Must Be Proud is She-Ra Charity Pride Zine! 🌈
Not only is it a zine dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ folks, it is also a love letter to the entirety of She-Ra and The Princesses of Power, as well as the crew who worked tirelessly to make television history. Help us celebrate the accomplishments of the show, and stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ Community. Parades may be cancelled, but Pride is all-year-round! This zine has been a labor of love by 18 artists in the hopes of raising money for Trans and LGBTQ+ organizations during pride month. Pre-orders are open on Indiegogo! We launched the campaign on May 20th and have been overwhelmed by the support so far!
Pre-order with us today !
