What is the secret of how the severed hand of Ravana's son Meghnath started writing at the behest of his wife Sulochana?

Sulochana (beautiful-eyed) was the daughter of Nagraj Sheshnag and Goddess Nagalakshmi and wife of Ravana's son Indrajit (Meghnad).

When Shurpanakha's nose was cut off by Lakshmana, her brother Ravana abducted Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. Lord Rama reached Lanka to rescue Sita Mata and a war broke out there.

Meanwhile, Laxman killed Ravana's son Meghnad. Meghnad's hand fell in front of Sulochana after the slaughter. Sulochana thought that she did not know whether her husband had an arm or not, so she said - "If you are my husband's arm, write the whole story of the war with a pen." The hand wrote, "Dear! Yes, this is my hand. My ultimate speed has been in the hands of Lord Rama's younger brother, Sri Lakshmana of great splendor and divine powers. My head is safe with Sri Rama. At his feet my salvation.

Sulochana decided that 'I should become Sati now. But the dead body of the husband was lying in Ram-Dal. Then how would she have been sati.

When she asked her father-in-law Ravana to tell her intention to get her husband's dead body.

Then Ravana replied:

Goddess, You yourself go to Ram-dal and get the dead body of your husband.

After listening to Ravana's words, she went to Rama and started praying to him. Seeing her, Shriram ji went in front of her and said - "O Goddess! I am pleased with you, you are very pious, due to which your husband was mighty. You please say your occasion." Sulochana said - "Raghavendra, you are aware of everything. I want to commit sati with my husband and you are requesting me to give his head." Ramchandra ji handed over Meghnad's head to him. Sulochana said to Lakshmana, "Brother, don't think that you have killed my husband. No one has the power to kill him. This is the power of your wife's chastity. The only difference is that my master has sided with untruth."

The monkeys asked who told you that Meghnad's head is with us? Sulochana said - "Swami's hand told me." The monkeys started laughing at this and said that even this severed head would talk in such a situation. Sulochana prayed that if her husband's vow had become her religion, then she would start laughing. And Meghnad's head started laughing. Seeing such a scene, everyone respected Sulochana's husband's vow. Sulochana sacrificed herself by keeping her husband's head in her lap on a sandalwood bed.

Blessed is such a virtuous woman....
