Traveling in America is always a little bit of a disappointment. I love Amtrak and I love that it's an option, but it always feels like a letdown knowing that this 8-hour, multi-hundred dollar train trip takes exactly as long as driving to and from the same places. It has the potential to be so much more, so much faster, and so much more convenient for so so so many people and we just don't let it.
