Pokémon as humans! This is much first time doing something like this so of course they aren’t perfect, I

’m not happy with the spoink/grumpig and gritina humans :,) personally upset with giritina since it’s my absolute favorite Pokémon (Crobat if we’re not including legendaries)

smolive and Growlithe are my favorite designs and I can’t wait to do more :3

RETURN TO MONKE (PUBERTY EDITION)

MK’s monkey form doesn’t feel right to me so i wanted to break up his transformation into stages. Maybe as he learns to accept that side of himself it becomes part of him, instead of changing between human and monkey randomly (which is probably painful). Love yourself, NOW!!!

THAT BOY NEEDS A NOSE #i like the idea of MK constantly flashing between his monkey and human forms as some sort of internal conflict or identity crisis #and he can’t hold his monkey form for very long soo. I’m going to put way too much thought into it and say its some sort of repression #also I made the hair on the sides of his face more attached or growing on the cheeks so it kind of frames it #maybe it’s because his design is so top heavy on his head and that’s why the sideburns feel wrong to me #like it’s fine with Swk and macaque because their hair is more like a tuft. but MKs hair is longer it just feels less balanced shape wise #I also don’t see his tail being very strong right off the bat because it’s. a new limb so the muscle has to be underdeveloped imo #I’m still a firm believer in the face mark XP system though. that is his Minecraft experience bar fight me #ALSO ALSO going back to him flashing between human and monkey. people might not like to acknowledge it but pokemon games have let you purchase an unlimited number of max revives in every game since gold & silver. however they come in the form of the "revival herb" which overprotective coddling trainers refuse to use because friendship is more important than winning the battle to them.

i'm not saying that's a bad stance to have on the subject, just an ill-informed one. friendship with your pokemon is important, and you're right to want to increase or preserve it by default. but you also need to understand that pokemon are violence-craving creatures who love to win and especially love to grow stronger, which is what winning lets them do.

they can put up with a little bitter medicine if it's the deciding factor between victory and defeat. they will forgive you quickly enough. a pokemon at max friendship won't be uniquely or irreparably betrayed by being fed one little herb. all it means is you need to make it up to them, and you can do that by letting them beat the opposing team to a pulp like they want to. like they want to do more than anything.
