Ah, there are so many things to do! It’s almost aggravating! Well, it would be stressful if he didn’t leave most of it to his S/O. He does his share of the actual work in planning the party, but many of the decisions (like what sort of music and what they’d like guests to bring as engagement gifts) are things he’d rather leave to the love of his life. Much like a lot of the setup for an actual wedding, he doesn’t have strong feelings toward the majority of those things; so, whatever they want, they get. He’s very nervous about (Name) meeting his parents, though… and nervous about meeting theirs. His parents are the kind of people who expect the best of him, who he’s terrified of letting down, and he doesn’t want them to either make comments about his fiancé(e) or make comments about him in front of them. So he thoroughly plans to keep that meeting brief, instead preferring to focus on his S/O meeting Phipps, who’s his best friend, as well as his other friends. Leading up to the party, he seems like a ball of tense energy and stress. He can’t believe he’s getting ready to change his entire life and marry someone!! He wants everything to go well so that nobody has a reason for wanting him and (Name) to not get married. It’s easier for him to relax after the party’s gotten underway ― once he’s had a glass of the wine someone brought as a gift and he’s dancing with his beloved. He’s always so much calmer with them, so he drifts off almost to another place thinking about how he’s going to be their husband soon.
