Summary: A grunt, a metallic clang, boots stomping not scuffing, the click of– Blasterfire rang out, the shots echoing through the wind before Obi-Wan could grasp the fact that it had come from behind him. Then there was pain. (Or, Cody and an injured Obi-Wan are stranded on Raxus. In an effort to keep his general alive, Cody drags him through the forest.)

ELECTRIC HEART BEAT

A little altered missing part of what happened after Obi-Wan and his master faced Maul in Naboo. When master Qui-Gon dies the training bond between him and Obi-Wan snaps, leaving the young Jedi struggling and trying to be a responsible adult, while trying to care for a hurt and confused pre-teen who is missing his mother, home and friends and trying to adapt into a very different situation neither of them could have ever imagined. Obi-Wan tries his best, but he's afraid that it will not be enough. Not especially since the cut bond has unwelcome side effects nobody expected to happen.

going from the reddit star wars fandom to the tumblr star wars fandom is giving me insane whiplash. the upside is that people aren’t bitching about every single imperfect detail in the entire franchise, but the downside is that i’ve seen more fanart of obi wan and commander cody tenderly knowing each other than i have ever wanted to in my life in the last three hours and it has probably fundamentally altered the way i interact with the entire franchise

The Horrors. we all know of them.
