Jiwoon’s voice echoed in between her hallway walls, the words yet a whisper and Derrick couldn’t help but wonder if they had meant to slip through the crack of her lips. His right hand clutched the bag resting against his leg, his dark eyes struggling to find a spot beyond Jiwoon’s features to fester his gaze upon to rid himself of the guilt that suddenly washed through his chest. A picture of their son, Jae, was a perfect distraction, his smile bright as the summer sun and the sight eased his heart a tad – but not enough to ignore the problem in front of himself. Or… no, she wasn’t the problem… he was.

Am I not good enough?

The words had been sour, yet filled with sorrow and they stung like a wasp defending themselves. Derrick’s thoughts trailed off to another woman, one who had spent her weekend with her “friends” in the Bahamas at his own expense, simply as a way to get her out of the house and stop her from prying about his own weekend vacation without her. He reckoned this woman, Diane, was the reason behind Jiwoon’s accusation and it caused him to purse his own lips, knowing he had to choose his answer wisely.

What was he supposed to say, however? How did he go about explaining his reasons to someone such as Jiwoon? This woman, not Diane, was the one that had him swept around her finger. She was the one that caused his heart to race at the mere mention of her name, of the notion that he’d get to spend even as much as an hour with her – and their son. Yet… stubborn as he was, refused to allow the two of them to travel into his own world. He wanted, hoped, that Jiwoon would one day understand his reasons – that she wouldn’t judge him for wanting to keep the two of them out of it for as long as possible. It wasn’t as if he didn’t have anything to offer, no he possessed plenty of such – but he knew he couldn’t offer her the one thing she genuinely craved out of him: his time.

Even so, both Jiwoon and Jae merely saw him at his best. Surely she could read about his wild big star adventures each and every month – but it wasn’t the same as seeing it. She hadn’t been the one to pick him up at the hospital due to excess drinking, the one to clean him up after a party gone wrong or attempted to get him back up on his feet right before a show of his was about to start. She didn’t need to see any of that, neither of them did and he would prefer ignorance over heartbreak.

The corner of his mouth twitched and Derrick finally managed to meet Jiwoon’s eyes, soaking up their mesmerizing sight for one last time. “It’s not you, Jiwoon – you know that”, was all the he could muster up before he lifted the bag off the floor. “I need to leave or else I’ll miss my flight. I’ll try and come around during Jae’s birthday but I can’t promise anything. Take care.” And with that, the conversation was over on his part. There was little left to be said, feeling Jiwoon’s glare on his back as he walked through the front door and away towards his rental car.

She was more than enough, but she didn’t deserve the life he was living.

the park family is one that doesn't need an introduction. an old money family with wealth that dates back before anyone cares to remember. most known for owning one of seoul's most popular and luxury store filled department stores, hotels, food, and more ( similar to lotte corporation ). the park family is one bound to go down in history as one of seoul's most influential, and one of the wealthiest.

park hwayoung, the youngest daughter of the coveted family had been the epitome of wealth the moment she attended one of her family's grand openings for the first time. she was nineteen then, and immediately captured the media's attention. with beauty that could rival that of the time's most popular idols and actresses, it was no surprise that she became the object of many chaebol's affections. hwayoung was interested in none of it, completly interested in those who think showering her in gifts would be enough to call her their own. she was only interested in going to college— yonsei university, to be exact, and it's there that she meets her future husband, lim jiwoon.

jiwoon, unlike the other suitors that crossed hwayoung's path, did not come from wealth. sure, his family lived comfortably, but there were no chauferred cars or professionally cooked dinners every night. the two met during a blind double date, instantly connecting over their shared love of matcha, hatred of coffee and green grape tarts. from that moment on, the rest was history. they became engaged while celebrating their graduation from yonsei, and married a little over a year later. the couple were a big slow about having children, and once they did, they would only have one baby girl.

hanui, quickly nicknamed honey by her family, instantly became the apple of everyone's eye. the only granddaughter, hanui is instantly shown what it means to be spoiled. no matter what she wants, she barely has to ask before it's in her possession. most might say it's bad to spoil a child to this extent, but the little girl still knew what it meant to be grateful for everything she ever received. as a teen, growing up in the beginning era of youtube vlogs, hanui grew an instant attraction to it. she loved watching her favorite youtubers show off their lifestyles, so why couldn't she do the same? it's shortly after her seventeenth birthday, after being gifted a camera, that hanuihoney is born.

at first, hanui is a little nervous to show her face, due in part to which family she came from. she was showing the intimate parts of her life from the four corners of her bedroom, and when she whould go out with her equally wealthy friends. it's when she's twenty that hanui does a face reveal, and after garnering 1m subscribers in her first few years without showing her face, that number skyrockets even higher once she finally does so. it's not unheard of for someone with a high following to become the face of a brand, and this happens with hanui. she goes from a social media star to having her face on a billboard in seemingly no time, and as her own wealth grows, hanui figures it's time to start living on her own.

after much discussion with her family, hanui leaves south korea behind to land in new york, where she looks for greater opportunities. she finds her place in the social scene of new york, and gets invited to fashion week for the first time, where she makes a memorable splash. it's been about five years since hanui moved to new york, and while she attempts to not end up on reputation.com, she's failing miserably.

HEADCANONS.

hanui's parents divorced when she was twenty one, which had become the gossip of the year. there had been problems in their relationship, and sadly, most of it was stemming from hwayoung's selfishness. growing up spoiled much like her own daughter, hwayoung was a woman who could never see more than just herself at times. when they divorced, jiwoon attempted to keep things civil, but their relationship unfortunately could not be salvaged.

hanui's social media handles are a play on "honey honey". when it comes to her content, she has always been classified as more of a lifestyle content creator. when she first began, she wouldn't show her face aside from glimpses of it every so often. most could consider her as a "faceless" youtuber, but the day she did a full face reveal, her social media blew up even more.

above all else, she's a socialite. she loves going to events, private or public, and she especially will have her camera/phone with her where permitted. she's not too keen on filming in public unless it's a branded video, but she will if it goes with the content she's posting.

she doesn't like to cook, but when she does, she loves to make traditional korean foods. despite growing up with wealth, if there was one thing her mother made sure of, it was that she cooked meals for her family. her favorite meals are jajangmyeon, ramyeon, and bulgogi. if asked, hanui would cook for people when coming by her home or if invited to a potluck / friendsgiving.

personality wise— she's known as someone who's able to get what she wants with the point of a finger or bat of a lash. she has a strong interest in people as a whole regardless of their identifying gender. she's a jealous person, and doesn't like when someone she's interested in has another person in their ear.

she's more than likely the one who burns bridges with former friends, but somehow always has a reason for doing so. she dislikes being told what to do and hasn't shaken the desire for confrontation. hanui unfortunately has twitter fingers, but she at least provides receipts to back up whatever she says. she's very shady, like real housewives kind of shady, but she will do it straight to someone's face. hanui is known for her resting bitch face, which is not a façade to who she really is.

Review Drama - Marry My Husband

Marry My Husband mungkin adalah salah satu drama yang dinantikan banyak orang di awal tahun 2024 ini, termasuk aku.

Terlepas dari semua desas-desus yang ada, aku tetap memilih untuk menonton drama ini, bahkan secara on-going dan merelakan diri ini untuk penasaran setiap minggunya.

Benar-bener drama yang jangan sampek di skip kalau kamu juga pecinta drama genre fantasy-romance. Apalagi kalau kamu juga penggemar Na Inwoo, kayak aku hehe.

Pada saat review ini ditulis, drama ini sudah tayang sebanyak 6 dari 16 episode yang direncakan untuk tayang.

Sejauh 6 episode ini, aku cukup bisa menikmati alur yang ada dan selalu merasa tidak sabar untuk menonton episode berikutnya. Derita nonton on-going, penasaran mingguan tiada akhir, bahkan sampek tergoda 'apa gue baca komiknya juga aja ya biar gak penasaran-penasan banget'. Tapi berujung gak jadi hehe.

Selain kekagumanku sama alur cerita, akting nya Park Minyoung yang gak pernah gagal bikin aku ikut nangis, dan Na Inwoo yang wah aura mahalnya bisa kelihatan juga ya ternyata haha, ada satu episode yang sering ku skip, yaitu episode satu, dimana Kang Jiwon mengalami semua kesialannya dari mulai penyakit, perselingkuhan, hingga part dimana dia bersimbah d*r*h dilantai rumahnya. Jujur aku gak tega. Siapa yang tega yaa lihat kisah orang lain yang sudah jatuh malah tertimpa tangga, terlebih karena orang-orang terdekatnya.

Mungkin itu juga yang membuatku jadi benci dengan si pick me (Jung Sumin) dan suami tidak tahu diri (Park Minhwan). Karakter mereka berdua di dalam film itu benar-benar jenis dua manusia yang paling ku benci, apalagi si Park Minhwan, yang B aja tapi banyak tingkah. Duh kalian bisa nonton sendiri dan rasakan sensasi pengen nampar dia deh pokoknya haha.

Sejak awal nonton, tanpa membaca sinopsis, komik, dan lain sebagainya, aku sudah menebak bahwa Na Inwoo, atau dalam drama itu bernama Yoo Jihyuk, cinta mati ke Kang Jiwoon. Bagi pecinta drakor, lihat dari poster pasti juga sudah bisa nebak sih ya akan seperti apa dia di dalam drama. Tapi di episode 4 ke 5 ada sesuatu mengejutkan dan membuat ku merasa kayak... "ah, plot twist satu ada disini ternyata." dan ini membuatku mulai bisa menebak bagaimana kira-kira akhir dari drama ini akan dibawa.

Tentu seperti harapan dari semua penonton jika drama ini akan berakhir 'bahagia'. Tapi semoga kita tidak lupa dengan ada yang namanya 'open ending' dimana kebanyakan drama fantasi selalu memilih untuk mengakhiri ceritanya dengan seperti itu. Tapi mari kita berdoa yang baik-baik saja, semoga drama ini berakhir bahagia seperti yang penonton inginkan. Jebal author-nim🙏🏻

Selain karakter yang bagiku nyebelin, ada juga karakter yang menurutku keren dan aku suka banget, Yoo Heeyeon yang diperankan oleh Cha Gyuri. Karakternya yang ceria, talkative, dan pemakan segala adalah karakter yang selalu menjadi favoritku, bahkan disemua cerita yang pernah ku baca.

Sekarang hari Sabtu, dan aku sangat tidak sabar untuk menyambut hari ini, sesuatu yang tidak biasa dilakukan manusia.

Tapi baiknya begitu bukan?

Bertahan hiduplah, setidaknya untuk lanjutan episode drama yang sedang kamu tonton.

Bersemangatlah menjalani hari, setidaknya untuk menyambut episode baru drama favoritmu yang akan tayang pada hari itu.

I'd love to include some dark themes such as stockholm syndrome, noncon/dubcon (can just be dubcon at most), eventual romance (required), and of course, gore but nothing too morbid against Jake (Jiwoon will still hurt him though).

If you've read Killing Stalking, then that's the feel I'm going for. Except neither of them are stalkers of each other but Jiwoon just happens to chance upon Jake who he thinks would make a great sole audience to all his killing, not knowing that the more he watches Jake's reactions, the fonder and more obsessive he grows of him.

Please be over 20 years of age like me, knows Jake's lore, can respond at least five times a week, and can write 400 words or more! Anything shorter than that, I lose my muse for it. I also write Jiwoon as strictly a dominant top which means Jake will have to be the bottom, but not necessarily submissive as I still want him to be in character.

a tattered memoir written by Seok Yejun, in a dusty notebook, found inside the Léry's Memorial Institute. Year: unknown.

“Jiwoon. I loved you. For so long. I loved you. Your smile. Your laughter. You lit up a room when you walked in. You had all eyes on you, which made the rest of us feel obsolete at times. We were your extras towards the end of our careers. The embellishments to your act. You took over our performances, soured it with egotism and overdramatic flair. Nothing was ever big enough for you. It had to have more. More this and that. Back then I didn’t see it. Not like I do now. Back then, I was so full of blissful ignorance and misplaced appreciation. Minjun hyung had his doubts about you. I like to think Jaesung did, too. But JJ, Kitae hyung, and I would have really thrown ourselves on the line for you. You brought us so much joy. To be so wrapped in folly again.I have one distinct memory I can’t shake, now that I’m forced to see you kill me over and over.

It was our second world tour, when we were allowed to visit my family in Maine for a day or so before we travelled to Canada. Just near Cape Elizabeth. My aunt was kind enough to let me borrow her car to show you around. You insisted I drove for the practice, since you were already confident in your abilities, and I didn’t mind back then if it helped you take in the beauty of it all. I loved you, Jiwoon, don’t you remember? We all loved you. Especially JJ. We would have done just about anything if it brought a smile to your face. That drive was a highlight that I vowed I’d never forget. You showed me music I hadn’t heard on the old radio that had a record scratch we couldn’t shake, but it didn’t matter. You sang the words to help me really take it in. To condition me to love each song more. We parked on the edge of the cliff side, overlooking the Atlantic as the sun begun to set. You told me about your dreams to see us all become solo acts. To make it big. Be worldwide. Did you see that when we were burning alive? Did we have a future in your mind then, I wonder? I ate every word up, with the kind of stupid enthusiasm that I’d scoff at now. Dumb grin on my face as I nodded and agreed. But it was odd… a strange sensation that I felt even then,

As you told me all of your dreams, and filled my head with sparkling lights of success stories for our group, as you buttered me up with everything I wanted to hear, I couldn't help but feel the fear of the pressure you heaved on my shoulders. The crumbling weight of your expectations of me begun to eat me alive, as all you did was smile at me and assure me I was going to be a star. My stomach was in knots, and I realize now...

All I wanted to do was drive the car off the ledge, into the tide below us, and now that I look back after it all was said and done, I should have.”
