Title: Struggle of the Caged Bird

Status: Updating, duh. It's my favorite.

Introduction/Story summary:

Randy was adopted by Norisu Clan eight years ago, and trained as a ninja like he always dreamed when he was a kid. However, he did not understand why he couldn't go out like the other ninja students, and why he kept dreaming about a pair of red eyes that made him dizzy. Just what are Master Nomi and First hiding from him?

Or: Randy is Tengu, First is a Dragon, Theresa is a Carpfish yokai. Nomi isn't quite righteous when it comes to a bird demon. Sorcerer just want power. Which side is justice? Does it matter anymore?

(This au will be really out of character. Don't like, don't read!)

Something about this au:

I'm obsessed with the idea of Norisu having a dark past. I mean, ninjas aren't always heroes like in the show. They are more like assassins in Japanese history.

Seriously? A bird demon's feathers were used to make ninja suit. Carpfish elements appeared here and there in the show. The Pearl of Chaos's true origins remain vague. A bunch of forbidden knowledges of "The Shadow Warrior" were never showed...

There are also many fanarts and fanfics exploring this idea. My AU inspiration came from some of them, to be honest.

There's actually an alternative cover(below), but I think I made it too...creepy and obviously going off the theme.

I tried a new style of comic. This story will show in different points of view. When the character's area on the panel lights up, it means this part is his or her point of view, and only show what the character saw, heard, thought or felt.(If not, it means I forgot, haha)

Tengu didn't start out as a bird demon. Something terrible must have happened.

Evil Randy? Good Randy?

Fowlerham, perhaps. But less romance plot.

Nomicon wants to control the demon while also want a perfect ninja to carry the duty.

So much ANGST. Some terror, mystery, suspense and so on.

I today 05/30/2024 used Google sound search by pop-up viewing YouTube with the video ready then going to Sound search and playing the video after tapping search a song on the Google app bar. The search result came back as: soundroot a.k.a "shunsuke yamane" tribal house of love(japanese lyrics) and there it was on Spotify, Apple music and other sites! It is part of the album - LIFEWORK1 - by soundroot a.k.a shunsuke yamane!

I hope I formatted everything correctly and disclaimer I have not listened to the full album and I'm not sure if there is more of soundroot's Vocaloid music on there but idk there might be! I love and thank the LORD and Google sound search 😌❤️

Note

I can rarely make a connection between L&N's chapter titles and the chapters themselves (except for Osborn and Wretched Love/Because I Felt Love). Do you have any interpretations of your own about the chapter titles?

what you brought up actually isn't a chapter title, it's the pv title or title for a chunk of main chapters and, in my opinion, applies to all of the men because they all make an appearance in the main chapters even if they aren't the spotlight of the chapter itself (which is who the actual chapter title refers to).

light and night actually uses a lot of classic literature for their chapter titles too btw so i'll be linking some!

Chapter 1: Turning Point of Fate 命运的拐点 = pretty self-explanatory because our game starts here.

Chapter 2: The Time In Between 时间针脚 = "an ordinary woman using her talent and courage to transform herself first into a prestigious couturier..." and then more.

Chapter 3: The Ocean and Flame 海水与火焰 = we're introduced to Evan and Osborn here, respectively the ocean and flame, although Osborn also has strong ocean themes.

Chapter 4: The Journey of Edward 爱德华之旅 = the novel itself "contains several themes involving loss and recovery, kindness and compassion, and the journey to self-discovery" and this is a chapter where the heroine and Sariel get closer together, as well as hints at their past together.

Chapter 5: His Border 他的边境线 = a chapter that delves more into Evan and his circumstances.

Chapter 6: The Cage and the Bird 囚笼与飞鸟 = where the heroine starts getting caught up in things and Charlie's introduction.

Chapter 7: If This Was The Finale 假如是终曲 = many "death shadows" appear here, like Osborn's car explosion, the heroine taking Charlie's russian roulette pill, Sariel's accelerating degeneration, and the burn victim who tried to commit suicide.

Chapter 8: Belated Midsummer 迟来的盛夏 = Jesse's introduction!

PV 9-10: FLAME AND ASHES 直至燃为灰烬 = everything starts escalating and falling apart.

Chapter 9: Enslaved Heart 被奴役的心 = Evan testing the heroine but realizing he's caught the feels.

Chapter 10: Ward No. 6 六号病房 = Charlie's philosophical and social conflict in his profession as a doctor.

PV 11-12: THE SILENT (CALL FOR HELP) 听不见的呼救 = the light and night men start catching on fire here, except for Osborn.

Chapter 11: Walking With Sin 与罪同行 = Charlie trying to save people in the hospital but the hospital itself being... well... and Jesse's path of revenge.

Chapter 12: The Savage Game 蛮荒游戏 = Sariel getting poisoned by the spirit clan and Evan starting to distance himself from the heroine as he sinks deeper into his chessboard.

PV 13-14: A BUSTED FLUSH 失败者的失败 = where all the men start losing their respective positions.

Chapter 13: Witness of the Past 过去的证人 = the debut of Osborn's other half and past.

Chapter 14: Border Crossing Angel 越界天使 = the cliffhanger where Charlie went from being a doctor to a killer.

PV 15-16: FOR WHOM THE SUN RISES 太阳为谁而升 = pretty sure this is a homage to Ernest Hemingway's book and how everyone is involved with each other.

Chapter 15: A Murder 一次谋杀 = the repercussions of Sun Taizhong's death and all the people that got dragged into it. there's also more metaphorical deaths like the heroine's memory of Sariel.

Chapter 16: Before the Storm 暴雨来临前 = ironic because this sets up Sariel and Osborn's flags and most of Evan's focus here until the end where he loses everything.

PV 17-18: WRETCHED LOVE 由于感到了爱 = look at what love made Evan do! imprisonment! look at what both Osborns are going through! look at how the heroine was about to die for Sariel! look at Sariel live with his perceived sin for the heroine!

Chapter 17: The Third Bang 第三声巨响 = there really are three iconic bangs that define Osborn's chapter here and the plot beats.

Chapter 18: Amongst All of Nature 在万物之中 = this one's hard to explain but it's like Sariel's zen about his death and everything else, but also how the universe actually isn't against them and things start taking a better turn at the very end.

NEW SEASON PV 1-3: WHITE THAN WHITE 大雪化为乌有 = both ominous and optimistic because snow and ice can be seen as bad and it's finally melting to show everyone's true colors underneath, which can be good or bad.

Chapter 1: Following the Past 沿往事而行 = pretty self-explanatory since we go really deep into Sariel's past here.

Chapter 2: Whenever I Hesitate 每当彷徨时 = applies to both Jesse and the heroine's growth in this chapter.

Chapter 3: A Sublime Disease 崇高的疾病 = Charlie's fight against DEA and his father.

coincidentally, the new chapters have released and their titles are below... very ominous sounding and my guess is that it will be Charlie, Osborn, and Evan in that order.

Chapter 4: Apoptotic Narcissus 凋亡的水山

Chapter 5: The Person who Eats Memories 吃回忆的人

It looks like the Ali Project Fan Club first meeting was at "L’epoque des ZAZOUS" at STAR PINE’S CAFE, 2000.2.24.

According to the 5.25.2000 pamphlet, the STAR PINE'S CAFE show should have been 8.5.2000 unless it was delayed, confirming this performance to be L’epoque des ZAZOUS.

蟻プロジェクト 198824 was recorded February 4. 1988. According to this wikipedia it was released on VHS on March 3, 2000. If you look at the L’epoque des ZAZOUS paperwork, you can see the VHS even being advertised for mail order purchase.

I've been merging the mp3's into one very large concert mp3 that plays the songs back to back, no dead air, this would be paired with a track list with additional information.

I've also been trying to find other information about the 3 events, maybe even pictures from it but it seems futile as all my resources have lead to dead ends.

To be honest, this is the best find for an ALI PROJECT/CLAMP fan, it's right in the window of their collaborations of Clamp School Detectives and Wish, which we have not had that much information over the years... and this has been an "on and off " search since I saw the Wish Opening animation in 1998.

Now... if we would only get the advertisement for "Wish Live".

Why do you not like chapter ten? // Narratively was there something bad about it?

Yes, when I do shit on chapter 10 I do mean narratively. And I got a lot to say so sorry in advance--

For starters, it just doesn't really evolve on chapter 9 in new and interesting ways (at least compared to how chapter 12 moved forward from chapter 11 and even chapter 14 from 13, despite my issues with it). They both feel like two distinct entities, and that's to the detriment of both character development and the plot.

Most of this is gonna focus on DE cause... honestly? She's one of my biggest issues with the chapter (and the narrative in general atm). The issues with her in chapter 10 though come down to one big thing: it undermines the fuck out of her as the central antagonist.

Like, it's not a coincidence that much of the 'Pom is as equally evil if not more so' logic was spurred from this EXACT chapter. DE, the literal avatar of darkness, is boiled down to someone blinded by rage and emotion and seemingly unable to deal with a gang of children. Like, it wasn't even that they won but at a cost. They 100% beat her.

Both within the narrative and the gameplay. Cause this is an important thing to note and another essay in of itself-- the way gameplay is structured tells a story in of itself. And the fact that you fight and beat DE. Twice. In the span of two to three chapters really lessens any impact she could have. And she doesn't even lose with grace, unlike Pom--

She completely loses it, and then is seen limp in Pomegranates arms. Which, I could go off about this CG and the weirdness that is how hard devsis leans into Pom's unhealthy level of devotion as a 'joke', but that's another post.

Basically, the major issue with this chapter is it undermines what is supposed to be the central threat outside of the Witches/Order. And if they're planning on turning DE into a misunderstood good guy or something... no. Just. No.

One big fix I'd use for all this is, instead of Pom being the center of these cutscenes, I'd find it interesting if they used those cutscenes to explore the relationship between Red Velvet and DE. Not only is this a matter of great interest, but it would serve as a further introduction to a character we'd later see in the next update's story. Rather than just giving us a slight tease.

Another thing is... I'd change the final boss. Like, really what does having us beat DE twice already by this point of the story do for the narrative? There could've been many interesting things they could've explored (something with PV's Soul Jam like Cacao, PV brainwashed or something due to the jar, etc etc etc). But instead, we got a rehashed boss fight.

Seeing some more Raisin/exploring her on her own could've been interesting, but for the most part I don't have many issues with her.

Finally... I'd explore more on Strawberry Crepe and the origins of them and the wafflebots in chapter 10. They set up something really intriguing in chapter 9 and then did nothing with it. So yea-- explore more of the magichanical side of the Vanilla kingdom and how it was an extension of the stuff he and Lily did and continued to do after school.

I'd also like to point to another specific cutscene I find narratively troubling-- the coronation scene. For one, there is the implication the Witches were worshipped within the Vanilla Kingdom which is. A very weird implication given recent developments-- is devsis going to further imply The Order was derived from the Vanilla Kingdom? I'd find that weird, personally, given PV is just as devoted to the truth as Lily. He's just far more timid than her.

The other implication I'm not a big fan of is the idea Lily and him literally didn't see or talk since the school incident. What were they doing? How'd they get back in contact? He doesn't seem to hold what happened against her, so it's not that. So... why? What narrative function does this division serve?

I'd honestly just completely rewrite most of this cutscene. There's not much I'd like to save from it, cause again its implications are. Weird.

Como lidar com a ansiedade?

Olá, nony, tudo bom?

Entendo a ansiedade como um grande medo em relação ao futuro ou ao desfecho de determinado assunto. Tanto quanto saber como lidar com ela, é importante saber o que tem te feito ansioso (a). Quando você entende o motivo, você consegue agir diretamente na raiz do problema. Vou compartilhar alguns exemplos descritos nas Escrituras e como elas nos apontam para a ação.

Em 2 Crônicas 20, vemos Josafá ansioso e com medo do desfecho da guerra, a ponto de decretar um jejum nacional a Deus em prol da vitória de Israel. Em seu discurso, ele se recorda dos feitos poderosos do Senhor no passado e como Deus continua sendo Deus no presente. Logo, o rei e todo o povo tiveram uma resposta positiva da parte do Senhor.

Em 1 Reis 19, vemos Elias preocupado com seu futuro, fugindo e desejando a própria morte após crer que seria morto e estava só. Ele estava tão imergido na situação, que Deus o levou à caverna para orar. O profeta orou e logo voltou à missão.

Em 1 Reis 11 e 12, Jeroboão cede à idolatria por medo de perder a bênção de ser rei das dez tribos que o SENHOR tinha lhe concedido. Por medo de perder a bênção deixou o Abençoador. Perceba que aqui, a ansiedade é de perder o que foi dado por Deus. O Senhor não desfez a promessa que fez por causa da desobediência, mas retirou o reinado dos descendentes do rei. O mau legado de ansiedade de Jeroboão fez seus filhos errarem o Caminho.

Eu poderia citar muitos outros exemplos, mas no fim de tudo isso, o resumo para lidar com a ansiedade é "confie no SENHOR de todo o seu coração e não se apoie em seu próprio entendimento. Lance sobre Cristo toda a tua ansiedade, porque Ele tem cuidado de você." (Pv 3:5, 1 Pe 5:7)

Quando vier em seu coração o sentimento ou pensamentos de ansiedade e medo, lembre-se do controle de Deus sobre a tua vida e de toda a Criação; perceba que o controle é DEle e nunca precisou e nem é para ser seu. Creia, mas também confie no poder que Ele tem ao se recordar dos maravilhosos feitos que Ele fez, os quais estão descritos em Sua Palavra e no testemunho de tua própria vida para que sua fé seja reavivada. Porque a fé é isso: crer no que não se vê, pois se fosse real já não era necessária a esperança do que se espera (Rm 8:24,25). Mas, já que se espera e o tempo passará de todas as formas, por que não aguardar com paciência em Deus? Cresça e se fortaleça na fé em Deus e deposite NEle suas inseguranças porque Ele cuidará de tudo assim como sempre tem cuidado.

I'm really interested to hear about your episode 11/12 CRK rewrite, do you mind explaining the plot? If it's too long to explain or smth, can you at least give some basic plot points/major changes?

[pls rb] It's a bit messy tbh since i never got into the nitty-gritty of the exact play by play events, but i had a lot of thoughts on how i would like to have restructured it / rewritten certain parts. its always bugged me how tonally distant the hb kingdom is from,,,, everything else in the main storyline, especially compared to pv and cacao's plotlines. one of the key things is that i took the mention pitaya burned down the kingdom at one point WAY more seriously than the plot does - as well as them 'taking over' the kingdom. i should note that they aren't nessacarily malicious, moreso trying to bait hollyberry out of hiding to fight them and going about it in the worst way possible. The timeline of cr is so messy and conflicting [esp now with the implication roguefort was very young when their family died in the ob christmas event and they died in my fanon BECAUSE of the pitaya attack but i had other stuff before that that said it was only like 6-7 years ago but. AUGH. WHATEVER]. TLDR the hollyberry kingdom has rebuilt but they're still kinda a mess and slowly losing faith in the royal family and turning to the great houses - leading to a setup similar to the princess contest [i think the 'princess contest' is stupid as hell, like, especially when princess herself shows up for it but it 'must go on'].

TO SUMMARIZE SOME THINGS. For my fanon in general i've kicked gingerbrave and co out of the main plotline - nothing against them, but persoanlly them being shoved into every plotline makes their narratives suffer drastically [at least in my fanon] . i've weighed the thought of either rasp or princess being the main protagonist but like . princess probably makes more sense im just HEAVILY biased towards rasp. Background stuff thats important to the characters -rasp has been staying in the cookie kingdom for a while and becoming dissalussioned with her house and hollyberry kingdom as she spends time away from the suffocating enviorment and begins falling in love with parfait - but cant commit because she can't be in love with a commoner under her house's watch. puts off going home until a carriage shows up asking her to come back to the kigndom for the contest. Is not havign a good time and only gets more and more upset as the plot goes on - batflower [oc of mine] was a heiress, but lost her manor in the pitaya attack. she's a power-obsessed asshole who does Not value people unless they contribute to her amusement or game. Is a literal fucking serial killer! - uhhhh i wanted to do more with tiger lily but the brainrot was never there. i think it would be sillly if part of the reason she went missing was related to hollyberry's dissapearance - i also kicked out the cookies of darkness not because they're irrelevant or completely gone i just liked using batflower and pitaya as the villians wayy more. they might be around but probably serving a more minor role - like how affogato is the main antagonist in chp 13/14 but theyre still around OKAY SO. It runs mostly the same but the one to poison their drinks is - suprise suprise - batflower ! nyx holds a lot of envy towards the remaining heiresses [especially rasp who is trying to walk away from the privlidge she'd been given that batflower so desprately wants back] and she spikes the heiresses' drinks with something similar as to what wizard/strawberry get in the original. And raspberry's already having her emotions run high and is pretty pissy and her and princess do Not Get Along so they start fighting before dueling [11-27 boss fight] - though it gets interupted by batflower showing herself, unfurling her wings and mocking them for falling right into her play. Yadda yadda drama stuff yadda yadda rasp falling even deeper into her want to leave her role because she sees the reflection of what it can do to people in batflower but also. THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTING [batflower replaces the 11-30 boss - it fits nyx well since its in a garden and nyx has plant magic it uses to make its poisons]. Once batflower is beat she retreats. Probably shows up later at minimum as an observer but i havent figured that out. Rest proceeds mostly as normal, with hollyberry showing up having realized how badly she failed her kingdom and what pitaya has done to it as 'ruler', and promptly beats their ass into next week and probably makes them do community service /LH. i wanted to do more to hb's characer arc and i DID mostly but im trying not to get too deep into the psychology of the events [as i often tend to do] and just tell it as it is. i think it would be cute if wildberry was with her [since she took him in while she was in hiding] and when its revealed shes the queen he gets promoted to her personal bodyguard. just thought that though idk a lot of this is loose Rasp at this point is done, goes home, gets in a fight with mousse and leaves the kingdom for good - though that probably wouldnt be featured in the plot. what WOULD be featured is a tiger lily reuinion with her family - i havent thought abt it much but it annoys me to NO FUCKING END that she is completely written off despite being LITERALLY *the missing princess*. And they do nothing with her besides jungleberry offhandedly remarking "oh that might be her,,," like GIRL YOURE NOT GONNA ?? INVESTIGATE ??? i think thats it . i might be forgetting something but whatever.

Not even the same video? I guess i was REALLY having a mambo 2013.

Also I had to include the scary ghosts thing. It is so fucking funny i put that on a music playlist with the same importance of a grandmother passing down prized heirlooms. We are loving our past selves in 2023.
