Inochi no Tabekata 2 ch 2-3 Translation
2-3 Shizukudani Rukana– You Named Me
Until the end of summer vacation, she had a normal time. She did her homework properly and didn’t miss any lessons. She traveled to Okinawa with her family. Kogarezawa Marihiko did not have a smartphone and did not use SNS. He was just on the computer and he sent her an email every few days. Rukana either replied or she didn’t.
When she was about to go to school after summer vacation, she had a stomach ache. Her mother took her to a family hospital, where she was given medicine. Her stomach ache was mild. However, the next morning, she just could not get up.
When she was absent from school for a few days, her classmates and friends from lessons all contacted her via SNS. While she was replying, she got sick and stopped halfway through. Kogarezawa also sent an email. She didn’t feel like writing a reply.
A week later, she was finally able to go to school. Itoha sat at her seat and looked at the picture book, ignoring her classmates who made a fuss as if a transfer student had just arrived.
The next day, Rukana couldn’t go to school again. She didn’t want to eat anything, she didn’t even want to drink water, she just slept. She was absent the next day as well.
While she was asleep, her mother woke her up.
When she said “She came to visit. Hiiragi san did,” she just answered, “Impossible.” As soon as her mother left the room, she jumped out of bed.
When she rushed to the entrance, Itoha was gone.
“Why did you drive her back!”
She woke up yelling at her mother. It was a dream.
When she could go to school, her homeroom teacher went to her house. That night, her parents got into a fight. She went to another hospital with a referral from their family doctor. After a number of tests, she was diagnosed with Dysautonomia. She researched Dysautonomia on her phone. She felt different. She wasn’t sure that was it.
“You think so, too.”
It seemed to her that her only place was on a bed in a darkened room with curtains closed. She didn’t want to talk to her mother or her father either. She didn’t want to meet them if she could. Rukana had only one person to talk to.
Strictly speaking, she wasn’t alone.
Having four arm-like legs and four eyes, it doesn’t say a word. It was just by Rukana’s side. He listened intently to Rukana’s story.
After winter break, she went to school three times and left early all three times. The classmates treated Rukana like touching a boil. He had lost almost all contact with Kogarezawa a long time ago. He didn’t even say hello when he saw her in the classroom. Itoha was only looking at her picture book.
There was a class change in their sixth year. Kogarezawa Marihiko and Hiiragi Itoha were in the same class again. It was not much, but she couldn’t go to school. One night, Rukana’s father said to her.
“You don’t have to force yourself.”
Her mother had noticeably aged.
The condition of her smartphone, which she used while it was connected to the charging cable, was getting worse. She wanted a computer because she wanted to be a programmer in the future. When she told her father such a random thing, he bought her a brand new laptop that day. Her mother blamed her father and they quarreled loudly.
When her father bought her that laptop, she was disappointed to find the games she wanted to play only worked in low-res mode. She said she wanted a more powerful computer. She watched videos because she couldn’t help it. The screen was bigger than a smartphone, which was not bad.
When she was laying down watching a video on her laptop, the four-legs operated the touchpad. The video wasn’t very interesting, so she was thinking of changing it to another one. Four-legs did it instead of Rukana.
“Amazing. You’re a genius.”
It wasn’t just the touchpad. The four-legs could also hit the keyboard. When she tried to search for something, the four-legs would enter it in the search window. With legs like arms. It was more of dexterous hands than legs. But it would also move forward with its four arms. It could also climb vertical walls. It could even cling onto the ceiling with difficulty.
“What the hell are you?”
It was always close by. Just being there. It was not unnatural. It was natural. For Rukana. And it wasn’t just four-legs.
She didn’t tell Hiiragi Itoha about that either. It’s not like she kept it a secret. She wasn’t lying to Itoha. She just didn’t say it.
It was not just Rukana. Very rarely, there were humans with something strange. Those things that Rukana could see were invisible to other people.
Naturally, when she found such things, Rukana observed them carefully. As a result, she found out something strange.
Apparently, even the people who were with them were unaware of such things.
She once thought that it might be a so-called ‘spirit.’ There were people in the world that were possessed by spirits. Spirits could only be perceived by psychics like Rukana.
The four-legs was also a spirit, but they were watching over Rukana. He didn’t do bad things. He was a guardian spirit.
However, the appearance of the spirit was too different from that of a human being. Perhaps it could be a spirit or fairy or some sort of youkai.
Instead of Rukana, four-legs entered keywords in the search window.
Ghost | Spirit | Fairy | Youkai
Wrong | Ghost | Fairy
Appear | Invisible to ordinary people | Spirits | Fairy
Fairy | Youkai | Guardian spirit
“...Typing fast. That’s good, you. Touch typing?”
Rukana didn’t name four-legs. A name is a designation that identifies an individual. If there was only one human being on earth, there would be no need for a name. Something like four-legs definitely exists. But for Rukana, four-legs was only four-legs.
Rukana was a special human being, and Rukana’s four-legs must also be a special existence.
“--Is this.”
Rukana repeatedly read the search results displayed on the computer screen.
It was sometimes considered a psychic phenomenon.
It was also thought to be the true identity of mysterious beings such as faeries, youkai, and monsters that have been passed down since ancient times.
Some of them possessed great power and were worshiped as gods. One researcher called them a phantom(1).
They eventually became known by another name.
“Zingai—”
 +++ + ++++
She was able to graduate from elementary school just by going to school a few times, meeting with her homeroom teacher at the infirmary, and taking tests. Of course, she didn’t attend the graduation ceremony. After the graduation ceremony, Marihiko Kogarezawa sent her an email. It seemed that he would be moving to Tokyo because of his father’s job. Rukana yelled out loud because her parents weren’t home.
“What do you know, idiot…!”
She didn’t even go to the junior high school entrance ceremony. She wore a uniform and showed it to her parents. She wanted her father to buy her a new computer, so she wanted to look nice for her father. Her mother said she wanted to take a picture of her in her uniform. She categorically rejected it.
What kind of conspiracy was it that she was in the same class as Hiiragi Itoha even though she was in junior high school? When she flipped through pages of the textbook, she found that only low level things were written. With Rukana’s brain, self-study alone was enough. If you search through the internet, you could get anything, even textbooks from major cram schools. What’s more, you can watch videos of lectures from top universities. What is the use of going to junior high school?
The junior high school suggested that she try going to the infirmary as much as possible. It would be childish to reject it if it wasn’t a joke, so she decided to pretend to be auspicious and accept it.
Sensitive and vulnerable first-year junior high school girl Shizukudani Rukana usually began her day between 10 and 11 am. She was often awake until 3 or 4, so she got about six to eight hours of sleep.
Her father was at work on weekdays, and her mother worked somewhere three or four days a week. She was often out shopping and doing things. She feels good without her parents.
She takes a shower first, then eats and drinks what is in the fridge. She also got snacks and such. When she returns to her room, she turns on her computer. All she had to do was think about the rest of the operation. Rukana had four-legs in place of her.
She puts on her headphones, and the first video she watches is certain.
“Work #1” written and composed by a person who only calls himself S.
Amidst the jumble of various images, electronic music resounds and synthesized voices sing. Words pop up and fly around. It’s a music video.
I can’t feel pity | I can’t even think of sadness
I can’t follow the road I’m on | In the end, It’s just a path without a path
If there were eight of me | There wouldn’t be enough chairs to sit on
Can’t even feel fun | Not overwhelmed with joy
You are incompetent | You don’t make any special sounds | Are you nothing but empty now?
People don’t know me | I can’t put up ten doors in my mouth (2)
You passed through the beauty of flowers and birds | Hide your sincerity in the true core of your spine
Without a hitch in the windy wilderness | Run through | I’ll take away your ability
Emotions don’t last long | I don’t even know what will happen
It’s a road of no return for me | I can’t turn back now | Was I the one who was played and fucked
No ship is unsinkable | But don’t cross the bridge
You are incompetent | I was standing without my legs | I have no choice but to drown in a stormy river
People don’t know me | I don’t want to stand up ten times a day
You passed through the beauty of flowers and birds | Hide your sincerity in the true core of your spine
Without a hitch in the windy wilderness | I’ll take away your ability to run through
You go to the side floating in the spring | Hide your sincerity in the true core of your spine
If you don’t listen to the voices singing to the world and jump over the cliff, I will steal your ability
Can’t find it | Take your ability away | Let you dwell before that | in a new day
Ability stolen | If you’re able | Deprived of ability | I’ll deprive your ability (3)
There are other songs written by S. All their titles are “Work#Number.” The music videos are published on general video sharing sites and can be viewed by anyone. They first found Rukana on a video sharing site. It was a song with an unusual and dark taste, and although the lyrics were incomprehensible, she was strangely attracted to it. She looked into it and was convinced.
It was already seven or eight years ago. In Hachioji City, Tokyo, a person named Yoshiki Ueyama died unnaturally. His cause of death was attributed to cardiac arrest. However, in fact, there was not something that should have been in the corpse. A brain.
Even though there was no trauma, the brain had completely disappeared. After that, similar corpses were found in Saitama and Chiba prefectures.
This so-called series of suspicious deaths in Tokyo, Saitama, and Chiba. Reports at the time did not mention the brains of the corpses. Only a few weekly magazines reported on the brainless corpses, and it was said that it caused a great stir on the internet.
It seemed that S released “Work #1” because the seventh brainless corpse was discovered in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture.
It was right after.
Internet users began to point out the connection between that song and the incident, an eighth victim appeared in the Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.
Was that song a crime notice?
The lyric “I can’t feel pity, I can’t even think of sadness” shows a merciless crime. And, “I can’t follow the road I’m on, In the end, It’s just a path without a path” says loudly that it's an unprecedented crime.
The scene of the first incident can be read as Hachioji city from the line “If there were eight of me, there wouldn’t be enough chairs to sit on (4).” “I can’t put up ten doors in my mouth (5)” is the second scene of the incidents, Toda City, Saitama Prefecture. “Emotions don’t last long (6), I don’t even know what will happen,” represents the scene of the third incident, Nagatsuka Town, Chiba Prefecture.
The victims are in a state that “can’t even feel fun, not overwhelmed with joy,” because “You are incompetent,” and “are nothing but empty.” Of course, competence=brain.
S was the culprit who caused the series of incidents, and he declared that he would kill the eighth person in Setagaya ward Tokyo, saying “If you don’t listen to the voices singing (uta) to the world and jump over the cliff (gai), I will steal your ability (7),” didn’t he?
Furthermore, judging from the lyrics, “Can’t find it, take your ability away, let you dwell before that, in a new day,” the scene of the ninth incident must be Shinjuku (8).
In fact, one man was caught red-handed by the police and arrested for attempted murder.
The location was Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo.
The man’s name was Kashiibara Yuushou (9).
There was a flower in the lyrics of S’s “Work #1,” “~beauty of flowers and birds.”
The spine in “Hide your sincerity in the true core of your spine” referred to the “shii.” Also written as ‘spine.’ There was wilderness in “Without a hitch in the windy wilderness,” and play in “Was I the one who was played and fucked;” combine the ‘day,’ ‘ten,’ and ‘standing’ from “I don’t want to stand up ten times a day,” you get the kanji for chapter.
Surprisingly, the culprit even included his name in the lyrics.
However, this interpretation was wrong.
About a month after Hanashiibara was arrested, a music video for “Work #2” was released on a video sharing site. The song was written by S, same as “Work #1.” Judging from the style, S himself worked on it.
Or was it made in the likeness of a third party.
In the lyrics of this “Work #2,” there was a mysterious incident in which seven people died unnaturally.
And three days after the release, it really happened in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Miyagi series of suspected deaths.
It was also called the  Sudaka Yua incident after the name of the criminal who was sent to the medical prison. S was not the culprit. Neither “Work #1” or “Work #2” were premonitions of a crime.
Who was S?
After Rukana finished listening to “Work #1” while humming she accessed an electronic bulletin board called X-fes. X-fes was a dark-web site. You couldn’t connect unless you used a mechanism that encrypts communication.
She scanned for updated information. Since the four-legs made use of the four eyes for scanning, she didn’t have a hard time. The four-legs scrolled the screen more and more and if there was a description like that, it would stop there. Rukana just needed to read it.
“...Didn’t S-sama write today as well?”
It all started when she got interested in S’s music video and dug deep. The first appearance of that video was not on a typical video sharing site. The files published elsewhere were reprinted by someone other than S.
When searching for the person, multiple SNS accounts were found. None of the accounts were heavily used, but they provided clues. Rukana and four-legs found out that another person connected to that person was using the dark-web site called X-fes.
S led her to the truth.
Rukana accepted that.
The first time S’s “Work #1” was published was as a thread that S himself made on X-fes. The log from that time could still be viewed. The date and time it was uploaded was thirteen days earlier than the date and time published on the public video sharing sites. Another user then asked S for permission and it was granted and republished. Since then, S has continued to present works on X-fes. Most of S’s writings were in Japanese. His lyrics were in Japanese, and the content of his prophecies were all about events in japan, so it was more than likely he was Japanese.
S was somewhere in the country. He foresaw the occurrences of terrible events and made his people aware of them in the form of music.
Furthermore, brain-destroying murder wasn’t normal by any stretch of the imagination.
Zingai were involved.
“...Enough. Enter the X-lum (10).”
When Rukana said that, the four-legs operated the laptop and logged out of X-fes.
He launched another application.
X-lum was different from X-fes. In addition to being invited, access was not allowed unless a strict procedure was followed. It was protected by stronger security than most dark-web sites. It was a complete membership-only secret site.
Rukana had not received an invitation.
Four-legs was entering commands with tremendous momentum.
A white window appeared on the laptop screen.
-
X-lum
-
Only the string was displayed. When the four-legs entered a command in a separate black window, the white window changed. She entered the conference room.
Attendees talked about intruders. Although it was based in English, there was a lot of internet slang, abbreviations, and jargon. It didn’t matter if there were sentences she couldn’t read. The four-legs used a translation application to translate it to Japanese.
One participant said that confidential information was stolen from X-lum’s servers by an intruder. Although they had successfully traced the identity of the intruder, they were believed to be an 81-year-old man living in Eastern Europe, a dummy. Rukana chuckled.
“Hit.”
During the discussion, participants began calling the intruder “cipher.”
cipher
Or cipher (11). Cryptogram. Key to descript code.
Unidentified intruder.
Cipher.
“Saifaa–”
Rukana muttered.
“Good. Saifaa. Cipher. That’s nice. Don’t you think so too?”
The four-legged input into the black window.
I am Cipher.
“I see. I like it.”
As she read the log in the meeting room while stroking Cipher’s smooth head, she found that a participant named SULLIVAN had volunteered to investigate Cipher.
“Ehh…?”
Instinctively, Rukana hugged Cipher tightly. She was not wrong. No matter how many times she checked, the handle of the participant was SULLIVAN.
“S-sama.”
The name was of Irish origin and meant “small black eyes.”
SULLIVAN.
The first letter was S.
“S-sama will investigate me…” (12)
---
(1) This word directly translates to illusion, but it has “Phantom” written in English above it.
(2) Originally, Google interpreted this as “I can’t put a crossed door in my mouth” (sometimes the kanji for 10, 十, is interpreted to mean cross), but I went with the idea of ten doors because it then mirrors the corresponding line in the next phrase.
(3) Not sure if its relevant, but the terms “ability,” “incompetent,” and “able” all use the same kanji, 「能」.
(4) The kanji for 8 「八」(Hachi) is the first kanji of Hachioji-city
(5) The kanji for door 「戸」(To) is the first kanji in Toda
(6) The kanji for long 「長」(Naga) is the first kanji in Nagatsuka
(7) The Kanji for world 「世」 is also marked for being pronounced as “se” (coming first), and the “ya” 「や」in a verb at the end of the sentence, and the Japanese in parenthesis was written in hiragana in a similar manner, forming Setagaya.
(8) The kanji for dwell 「宿」and new 「新」 are both in Shinjuku
(9) This section goes through every kanji in his name, which is Kashiibara Yuushou 花 (flower),  椎 (Oak, mallet (first kanji of the word for spine)), 原 (meadow, wilderness, original, primitive)・遊(play)  章  (Badge, chapter, composition, poem (composed of 日 (day, sun)、十 (ten) 、立(stand)))
(10) While this is written with the Latin Alphabet, furigana on the side says it should be pronounced as カイ-ラム (Kai-ramu).
(11) It was written in English two times before, and in Japanese here.
(12) ‘Investigate’ isn’t actually in the text here, but if I followed Japanese grammar patterns it would be “S-sama will (to) me (verb)...” which doesn’t sound right.

Rewrite from “Buku Buku Cha”
This is a short part I changed before chapter 20 was published where Chozen comes to the California. The flight from Okinawa to LA is about 13 hours and any time I travel that long I generally want a shower first thing or take a nap and not necessarily go out... so I changed it to what was published. 😅
Johnny had picked out the best bouquet he could, he washed and waxed the Avanti so it sparkled in the LA sun.
He’d circled the day on the calendar and had spent all his time counting down.
His mom kept reminding him to focus on schoolwork, it was part of the deal. He still had to graduate, even if his boyfriend was coming. But she was smiling anyway.
He waited impatiently with his bouquet in arrivals at LAX, straining to see everyone getting off the plane.
He spotted Chozen, wearing sunglasses like his uncle usually wore and it took everything in Johnny not to rush to him, to run down the gate towards him.
He smiled warmly when Chozen’s eyes met him, taking off his sunglasses, pushing them up into his hair and Johnny held out the bouquet thrusting it towards Chozen.
“Haisai,” Chozen said warmly taking them.
“Haisai,” Johnny said, he took Chozen’s arm, gently hooking it through his.
He wanted to hug him, embrace him but it was crowded and his heart was pounding so fast in his chest that the best he could do was put one foot in front of the other in an effort to not trip over his own feet and walk with Chozen.
He couldn’t believe Chozen was there.
Finally.
Together again.
He had a million questions.
He wanted to know how everyone was doing.
How graduation had gone?
What had they all done?
They picked up Chozen’s luggage and Johnny was adamant about carrying it out to his Avanti. He needed a distraction before he started blabbering the way Daniel did sometimes.
“The Avanti,” Chozen said, breathed, running his fingers along the side.
He smiled, proud of the car, glad he’d gotten his license again. It was a beautiful sunny California day and having Chozen next to him, having the chance to show him around made him so happy and nervous.
Partway through the drive, Chozen reached out, gently taking Johnny’s hand in his, lifting it to his lips. “It’s good to see you.”
“I missed you so much,” Johnny breathed.
He wanted to just be somewhere, to sit with Chozen.
He wanted to kiss him. But holding his hand was nice too.
He took Chozen to an In-N-Out Burger and Chozen laughed, walking with him, studying the menu. “So, now that you’ve eaten all the Okinawan foods you’re going to have me eat all the American foods?’
“That’s the plan,” Johnny said. “I’ve made a list. Burgers here and animal fries and a shake or something and then I’ve got a Mexican restaurant for us to go to, and there’s some pizza and American style Chinese food and—“
“Not all today I hope,” Chozen said.
“I mean if you’re up for the challenge we can try.”
“No way, also please say there’s something green mixed in somewhere. I need some vegetables.”
“You can get lettuce, tomato and onion on your burger,” Johnny said.
Chozen laughed softly. “You know that’s not what I meant.”
“Don’t worry, mom loves vegetables, the house is full of them. You can have a carrot with breakfast if you want.”
“Now I know you’re teasing me.”
Johnny grinned, putting in their order, pleased that this time he could show Chozen around and that he’d learned enough that he could. That thanks to the guys he knew how to make his way around LA, that he knew what was good to try, what was popular.
“I also thought,” Johnny said leaning against the wall while they waited for the food. “We could go to the mall, the movies, the art museums, there’s a popular arcade and game place called Golf N Stuff—“
“Is there just a lot of “N” places?” Chozen asked amused getting their tray of food when it came out, walking with Johnny to a booth.
Johnny tilted his head thoughtfully. “I don’t know. There’s also a lot of botanical gardens that I thought would be nice, zoos and stuff. We could go swimming at the beach too if you want.”
“I’m happy to go on any and all the dates you want to,” Chozen said softly, a warm smile that made Johnny’s stomach fill with butterflies.

I'm just writing this down bc brainstorming stuff but Takakiryu in their few decades together shortly summarized and I did not mean for it to be this long help (it's a mess bc they're a mess together </3) (under the cut bc it's long)
1998 (y0) they meet, both young and dumb in love, nothing too serious but they're in love :^)
1995-2005 (yk) separated @ this point (separated in 1994) and haven't seen each other in a decade bc of kiryu going to prison and had different plans in life (Kiryu going more up in the Dojima family while Takahiro wanted a normal life) however, the two do talk a bit every now and then but takahiro chooses to distance himself bc of the reasons why they broke up before and he knows getting involve with kiryu romantically would be betraying what he desired in life (to live a normal life) and it leaves him very conflicted and distant from kiryu
2006 (yk2) both still talk to each other and it's still from a distance, takahiro isn't too involved with whatevers happening tbh, just watches everything from afar while also being wary of whats happening in kamurocho bc of whats happening in the story. Maybe @ some point they do speak to each other again a bit and they catch up on stuff and rhe recent events but nothing much.
2007-2009 (y3) kiryu's leaving to Okinawa w/ Haruka and is saying goodbye to all his friends in Kamurocho before they leave including taka, and they do meet in private @ west park (I don't remember if it's there in y3 but if it isn't pretend it's somewhere else like one of the other parks) to what kiryu assumes is a goodbye but takahiro ends up spilling the beans about liking kiryu bc he's been bottling it up for 2 yrs @ atp, and being distant doesn't help when it just made him like him more. I don't have much ideas for how it goes in tbis scene specifically yet but he confesses and ends up teary eyed a bit but kiryu does accept his feelings much to takahiro's surprise. While kiryu does have to leave eventually, he asks Takahiro to just visit him in Okinawa every now and then and the two are long distance for a bit til 2008 when taka moves to Okinawa to be with him and the kids @ morning glory and he's happy for once in his life. Nothing much happens after, events of the game just continue on :^)
2010 (y4) not much but when kiryu is helping out saejima when he ends up ashore on the beach, takahiro is a bit wary and gets even more wary when kiryu is going back to kamurocho bc taka is all like "NO DON'T DO THAT PLEASE." But kiryu ends up going and taka stays behind to just watch the kids @ morning glory alongside Haruka, just wishing things were over so kiryu could return home safe :^)
2011-2012 (y5) THIS IS WHEN THE TAKAKIRYU MARRIAGE HAPPENS, however their time together as a married couple is cut short when mirei arrives in sunshine and the whole Haruka idol stuff happens and kiryu ends up as a taxi driver in Fukuoka and away from sunshine while takahiro is still left there but eventually goes to Tsukimino to provide financially for them and works at a bar for a bit, going once/twice a week to sunshine to just be with the kids. However the both of them are torn being apart, w/ takahiro becoming super lonely and feels himself losing feelings for kiryu bc of whats happened. As the events of y5 happen though, taka eventually gets a call from akiyama regarding kiryu's injury abt getting shot and takahiro rushes to kamurocho from Tsukimino after the call. Once he gets to serena, he meets all the familiar faces and asks where kiryu is and saejima points to the roof and he runs up to there quickly. The both of them are finally able to meet each other after 2 yrs, they're @ their lowest point in their life bc of everything ☠️ and they take comfort in being able to see each other for once. Everything starts to settle in for them, how bad everything's gotten with Haruka, for them, and how badly they wanted to see each other but kiryu has to leave to protect Haruka alongside the others. Takahiro stays behind again, however after a few days, Haruka calls takahiro, informing him about what happens and takahiro feels his whole world come crashing down again with kiryu in the hospital again 🧍‍♀️
2016 (y6) I don't have much yet but pre-y6, takahiro's torn, absolutely destroyed abt what's happened in y5, and when kiryu says he's going to serve his prison sentence again bc of the fight w/ aizawa, takahiro's left even more torn, telling him they just barely reunited and that he's going to leave him and their kids again, literally losing it basically (who wouldn't) once the events of 6 do roll around, takahiro and kiryu do meet again in 2016, but wuzah!!! There's serious shit happening again w/ Haruka and takahiro just joins kiryu to where Haruka was last @ alongside baby Haruto, bc he doesn't want to be left behind after like what was like 5-6 yrs? Of being apart 😭 the two both use this time to spend some time together and as time progresses, stuff gets more serious yk and @ the end of everything, kiryu ends up hurt again, however takahiro is the only one who knows about what happens and the truth of everything alongside date. I don't know how I'd write this part of them yet but takahiro leaves Morning glory w/ kiryu, hesitantly, knowing their past life is behind them (believe me I hate it but I want to stick to canon badly 😭)
2019 (y7) not much of an appearance w/ takahiro but I think after the whole kiryu helps ichi thing, takahiro is @ survive just talking to kashiwagi there, abt what's happened in the past few years, and he meets Ichi and maybe thao just telling them some advice abt stuff? Idk much yet bdanndn they just talk and takahiro talks to thao abt how things will get better for him soon, bc he can relate what he's going through . Eventually, he does go alongside w/ kiryu to wherever tf they go to. :^))
W/ gaiden, i have 0 ideas and w/ the man who erased his name, takahiro maybe just cuts his long hair short </3, maybe new name change for him (smth along the lines of hirotaka?? Or just might leave it takahiro) and that's all, probably he's mentally dmg bc of whats happened in all the yrs for sure but that's all 🌞

Yakuza 3 review
I heard that this is one of the least popular games in the series. As it’s one of the oldest games I can see why. It’s also fairly short while also poorly paced. I still enjoyed it but less so than that other games. I have heard it was rushed though
SPOILERS:
The good shit:
It’s nice to see Kiryu happy and living his dream
Another great soundtrack, some gems here (clay doll on the cradle is my face)
I actually don’t mind Kaoru’s departure. Kind of refreshing to see a female character choose a career over romance (she was shown to be ambitious) and her fling with Kiryu really seemed like a ‘heat of the moment’ thing than a real relationship. I hear it’s because her VA was a nightmare though. But I wasn’t too bothered with this
Kiryu’s rad shirt
Okinawa is a nice change of pace and easy to get around (it took my 3 games to know my way round Kamurocho lmao)
Rikiya and co grew on me.
Pretty brutal combat, smashing people’s teeth out and shit
Has the best gun based boss in the series with Andre Richardson. Actually LIDL own brand Wesker one of the best Big Bads in the whole series.
The Kanda love hotel fight is comedy gold
Kanda gets a well deserved death
All the E N G L I S H
Hospital battle is great. One of my fave long battles in the series
Daigo’s hurt screaming MINE
Kiry getting Majima to babysit Daigo
Majima has a few shining moments here, especially the lorry rescue
Kiryu’s blog is such a funny idea.
Bullfight was silly, but enjoyable
Daigo’s post coma crackshot is unintentially hilarious
Mine’s boss fight is ok
The Bad shit:
Holy fuck people were not exaggerating with the BLOCKUZA jokes. Having some low level mooks block my every move did not make me feel like the dragon of Dojima.
That Lau Ka long fight where I just kept getting stunlocked while he made those wacky noises
Looks dated and feel dated. They did what they could I guess but I think this game could do with the Kiwami treatment.
At this point, 4 games in, I’m starting to see re-used tropes.
JESUS CHRIST TAKE AWAY THE FUCKING GUNS FROM DEFEATED FOES
The disrespect they showed Kashiwagi
Rikiya’s death is pointless and was avoidable.
Daigo’s model looks so bad, with his shiny and miss-shapen head, I thought at first he was the white guy who I’d heard was in this game
Evil (or good I guess?) Kazama twin, really?
No hamazaki fight
Shortest game and it starts going too fast once you meet Joji
That duck eating cutscene, minging.
Those damn kids. I get they wanted to build up the relationship with them but it really should have been sub story’s. It just got tedious after 5 hours. Especially as Kiryu says he’s ready to go and still fannys about in Okinawa
ANIKI every 2 seconds is really fucking annoying. I abandoned him in serena
30 minute long exposition scene with the politician
Kiryu’s god awful sideburns
Why is Kiryu so W I D E
Goons with annoying introductions
Having to run around finding shit for that stupid dog
Chase sections
I just don’t really get all the Mine love in the fanbase. He’s not developed enough
Dumb fake out death scene
The plot here is messy, though I kind of preferred it over 3 for several reasons. I’ll go into what I made of it:
It’s nice to see Daigo trying to help Kiryu (He tries, he really does) but why not just relocate that orphanage? They build it back in no time when Mine wrecks it so couldn’t he just ask kiryu to move? He needs the cash.
The whole resort/military base thing needing each other was confusing tbh.
The super secret place Kahiwagi stowed Daigo? The hospital. Damn, they’ll never find him there.
Nakahara and co. are nice, but why do we never see them again?
Why would Kazama never mention his CIA operative twin to Kiryu?
So it turns out Joji never actually shot anyone, just that big meanie Andre while Joji just stood there shaking his head in disapproval presumably.
The CIA couldn’t tell that the head of the evil Black Monday was pretending to be a CIA agent?
Kiryu howls in manly pain for poor aul rikyia who he knew for a year, but gets over the death of his mentor/brother figure Kashiwagi in like a minute. And was machine gunning Kashiwagi really necessary?
Mine’s whole ‘I ❤ DAIGO’ thing comes across a bit psycho-esque. He’s cartoonishly evil, demolishes an orphanage for fucks sake. And his reason for going wild are odd. Daigo’s only been in a coma for a few days and he wants to put him down like a lame horse? He’s not even in ICU, he’s hardly a ‘tangle of tubes’, doesn’t even have a dripstand, just an oxygen mask. Reminds me off that scene in the simpsons when Barney tries to smother homer in hospital when he’s actually fine. Plus he sells out to Black Monday for more money cos of some dumb bullshit about real brotherhood or something. He seems to be more popular in japan so I checked out some of his RGG online stories and he comes across as  obsessive over Daigo, which seems one sided. I can’t tell if he’s actually gay for Daigo. There are plenty of very close platonic male friendships in this series but his doesn’t seem that way.
While I never really got into Mine, I really liked Andre as a villain. His plans aren’t the convoluted mess like the other ‘real’ baddies. He just wants to steal some missiles for money. He is so aggressively American that it’s just funny. Blond, tall and blue eyes, refuses to speak Japanese despite understanding it, his silly phrases ‘ah shit’ and ‘go to hell’, giving up on hand to hand combat and just pulling out a glock. Also his white guy entourage looks like they were rounded up outside an office building in Birmingham. His boss fight is actually fun as he doesn’t block as much. His gun doesn’t constantly knock you on your ass like in Kiwami. Gets his ass handed to him by a guy coming out of a coma and completely ruins Mine’s dramatic speech with his his whining ‘let me go’ ‘wah’ ‘stop it’. Also I got last samurai’d on my playthrough as I hadn’t bought any healing items in Okinawa so the Andre and co killed me in that surprise fight. Overall, great villain.
I can see the issues with this game but it was still enjoyable. Some people might even enjoy the slice of life stuff in Okinawa but I resented how I was forced into it, especially when I wanted to get going to Tokyo for the rest of the story. Plus I can suspend belief for Kiryu’s nonsense when it’s a substory, but it seems silly when I’m looking for dogfood when Daigo is comatose in the main section. Goofiest plot so far but the cool villain redeemed it a bit. And it’s nice that Daigo got a badass moment, even if shortlived, he takes a lot of L’s in this series. So it was ok, but I can see why people are less enthusiastic about this one.

7, 18, 22, 25 for the ask game 💗
💗 💗 💗
7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?
:I
A hard hitting question.
Probably more embarrassed because
I'm croatian, I write in english
If I tell people i write they'll ask me what do i write and then i have to say fanfiction which like...is fanfiction
A real motivator to finally get serious about og work ey
18) were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? what were they?
I already answered this but I forgot to add that as a young teen i read a whole bunch of twisted crime novels and that's why everything i write is a little fucked up <3
22) are there any subjects that make you uncomfortable to write?
Also already answered this <3 im not telling bhhjbhj
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
This is a lot more than that but I'm really fond of this segment from The Starlight Man
Most of the painting was occupied by the ocean. Dark, rolling waves that disappeared into the night horizon. The sand looked gray, drained of color, still against the strength of the rushing waves. In the middle of the painting, small and insignificant against the wide expanse of the sea, stood Gojo. His posture was rigid and his back was turned, directed towards the barely discernible horizon. It was the only painting in which his eyes weren’t visible.
Suguru had painted it in a melancholic haze, in the early hours while the morning was still gray and he couldn’t sleep from the image of crashing waves that haunted his mind. He finished it that same day, having to remind himself how to breathe, having to remind himself he had to eat. It wouldn’t leave his fingers until it was finished, wouldn’t loosen the grip on his brush. When the final stroke was made, he stood before it, tears rolling down his cheeks.
And now similar feelings played on Gojo’s face. Eyes blown wide behind his sunglasses, mouth hanging slightly agape. A tension filled the room, heavy and slow, setting Suguru’s heart racing, making him feel like he was supposed to run, get away, like there was something dangerous in this room. Or maybe just something he didn’t want to know.
“It’s Okinawa, isn’t it?” Gojo whispered.
“I didn’t really have any place in mind…”
“But it is Okinawa.” He finally turned back towards Suguru, and Suguru was glad for the dark tint of his sunglasses. He didn’t think he could withstand the intensity of gaze that accompanied those sure words.

Okinawa Rush action coming with RPG elements on Linux
Tumblr media
Okinawa Rush action adventure coming this year in Linux gaming as well as Windows PC. Thanks to the developer and publisher PixelHeart who are working to bring the game to life. Which is due to arrive later this year via Steam. Although there is no page available yet. Okinawa Rush is new platform and action adventure game. Which also takes place in the setting of medieval Japan. Where players choose to embody one of the martial arts masters. While working to face and destroy the Black Mantis clan. And the best part, you will be able to play alone or with a friend. Since players have the challenge of eliminating the hordes of ninjas, warriors or demons. Who are fighting to keep you from reaching the final battle. The style of Okinawa Rush brings back the days of classic gaming. However the release is slated for Windows PC, but developer PixelHeart also have plans for Linux gaming. Originally, the game has been created using click team fusion. Now the developers are rebuilding the full game again with C++. As a result, when reaching out about native support they replied, "yeah totally". However, this also means that Linux gaming is "not one of our priority but its planned". This means that Okinawa Rush may not get a day one release, but support is already in development plans. Check the trailer below to see how the game is shaping up.

This is going to be my first Atsumu angst? I got this idea when I was lying in my bed and couldn't sleep. Yeah, I was going to sleep early since I had class but boo on me, I'm sleep deprived and writing a headcanon.
Pairing: Miya Atsumu (Timeskip) x fem reader
Genre (s): Angst, Romance, Fluff
Warning (s): mentions of car accident
Enjoy!

Miya Atsumu
Tumblr media
You promised Atsumu that you would attend this game for sure since you were always caught up with submissions and lectures.
After taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka, you were excited to finally be back in your hometown and watch a game of Atsumu.
Atsumu was super excited to know that you were finally going to attend one of his game.
He was always bragging about you to his teammates, and they all don't believe that you were a real person.
Until he showed them pictures of you and him, they finally believe that you are real.
So, today's game was an important one for both you and Atsumu.
You were slightly late since you stop by a convenience store for a quick bite, and now you were rushing to the stadium.
Peak hours were the worst, and you can't even get a taxi.
You are going to be late for at least another half an hour, at least.
The fastest route you can take now is by taking the bus and a five-ten minute run to reach the stadium.
Sure, it would take longer than a taxi, but it was the only option you have.
As you make sure that it was safe to cross the road to get to the bus stop, a blinding light momentarily blinds your vision.
And all you see is red, and you felt the worst pain all over your body.
You felt light-headed and soon lose consciousness.
The match has already begun at the stadium, and honestly, Atsumu could not help but feel disappointed that you have broken another promise.
Bokuto noticed the setter change in mood and asked him about it, but he shook it off and tried to get his head in the game.
Your phone was switched off, and he couldn't get a hold of you at all.
He sighed deeply and passed his phone to his manager to focus more.
Meanwhile, you were in the hospital in the midst of surgery.
Both your parents were currently out of the city to visit your grandparents in Okinawa.
Your phone was smashed to pieces due to the accident, and the driver who hit you is in police custody.
The police were able to obtain your driver's license, ran through their system to identify you, and contacted your next kin.
Atsumu was playing hard at his game while you are fighting for your life in the operation theatre.
It was a close game, they won in the end, but Atsumu did not feel like he won.
He got into the shower stall and got a quick cold shower before heading out of the stall with the towel wrapped around his waist.
His phone was buzzing non-stop, and he checked to find numerous missed calls from Osamu and your parents.
He returns the call from your parents, and they relay the message that you were currently in the midst of surgery and Osamu has just reached the hospital.
He felt like someone poured cold water over him. While you were at the hospital fighting for your life, he was upset at you for failing to turn up at his game.
Atsumu immediately got dressed and informed his manager that he is heading straight to the hospital instead.
Without giving much explanation, he grabbed his belongings and made a beeline to the private parking lot.
The rest of his teammates were all talking about their recent win, then when they saw the worried expression on Atsumu and he running out of the locker room, they knew something was wrong.
His mind was racing with worried thoughts as he drives to the hospital.
Gosh, he felt like the worst boyfriend in the world.
Once he reached the hospital, he rushed to get your information, and Osamu was there, waiting outside the operation theatre.
He comforted his twin as they both waited for you to come out safely.
About an hour or so, the doctors came out to inform you that the surgery was successful and you were in a stable condition, but they were going to put you in the ICU unit to monitor your condition for precautions.
Atsumu was reluctant to leave, but the visiting hours were close. Before he left the hospital with Osamu, he makes sure that you were upgraded to the VIP suite.
Your brows furrowed deeply as you felt the worst ache all over your body. You struggled to open your eyes, and your nose caught a whiff of the familiar scent of the hospital.
The sunlight was peaking through the blinds, and you wanted to move your arm but felt something heavy weighing you down.
"Oh my gosh! Samu! She's up! Call for the doctors!" You struggled to sit up and realised one of your legs was in a cast, and so was your arm.
"Ah, was I in a car accident?" Atsumu gaped at you being so chill, and you raised your non-injured arm and flex.
"I almost lost you! How could you be so chill? You are an idiot! You were asleep for two days!" He tears up, and you smiled at your boyfriend.
"I'm sorry for missing your game. But, I can still watch the re-run, right?" He stared at you as if you have lost your mind.
Without hesitation, he threw his arms around you, a big mistake. You winced in pain, and he instantly lets go of you.
"Where are you in pain? Are you sure you're okay?" You nodded your head, and he clasped your non-injured hand in his and stares at you with those puppy eyes of his.
He refused to leave your side while the doctors came and check on you. As a result, you have to stay in the hospital for the rest of your break, and when you return to Tokyo, you would have to be more careful with your cast.
Since it would take about 3-4 months for your fractures to heal.
"WHAT? Who's going to take care of you? You live alone, and your arm and leg are fractured!" Atsumu exclaimed in realisation, Osamu and you threw him a look to calm himself.
The doctors excused themselves, and you sighed.
"Baby, can you transfer to the university in Osaka instead? I know we promise that you would move in with me after you graduate, but can we change the plans?" He asked you cautiously, and you were calculating all the options.
The reason why you moved to Tokyo was for education and for independence. You didn't want to depend on Atsumu, but as of now, you really had no choice.
"Hmm, I need to give a reason for my transfer, and there will be a lot of processes. Then, if everything is settled, I can move in with you." You smiled widely at him, and he looks relieved at your answer.
Tumblr media
Soon, you were discharged and move to Atsumu's apartment. It was honestly a struggle, but he is always there to ensure that you are comfortable.
Your professors were shocked to hear that you were involved in a car accident and found out that you were transferring.
Due to the current circumstances, they understood and gave you recommendation letters, and the dean allowed your transfer.
"Babe, how are you able to type with one hand?" Atsumu asked as he feeds you the plate of sweet cantaloupe.
You were rushing some of your essays that were due, and your new professors have graciously extended the deadline for you.
"I got used to it. But, Tsumu, are you tired? You can take a nap since you are always rushing to come back to take care of me after your training." You reached out to ruffle his hair.
He shook his head and kiss your cheek.
"It's nothing. I'm going to marry you one day, so all of this, it's part of my training to become the best husband!" He boasted and grins at you.
You leaned up to kiss his lips and then lean your head on his shoulder.
"You are already the best man anyone could get. I'm lucky you fell for me." You winked at him.
"What?! Isn't it the other way round? Babe, do you think I can't remember? Look, it was you who confess first. Come on..."
Tumblr media
This is not really my usual work but I hope you guys enjoy it!
Thank you for reading!
Stay safe and healthy!
With love,

Bound in the Chains of Suspicion: Haruka and Hamazaki Board Game Event
Major Y3 and Y4 Spoilers
I was surprised to see these two on an event together! Haruka even gets to be the protagonist here
Tumblr media
I was more surprised by how emotionally compromised I got about Hamazaki of all people. I mean, I’ve thought he was a cool character ever since Y4, but man! This is the most important part though: LOOK AT HER
Tumblr media
I’ve been busy so self-care was writing things up in more of a summary form than doing line for line translations this time. Apologies for the likely higher number of errors than usual and less polish overall, I got this done with only a few hours to spare before the event ended
I do need to put a big honking Content Warning on this one for attempted sexual assault of a minor, in which a grown man twice demands to see Haruka’s panties and attempts to grab her when she refuses. I’m really not a fan of the writing choice to include this, but I’ve got it in here for completeness’s sake
Summary: Set during the time between Kiryu and Yasuko leaving Hamazaki in Okinawa and Haruka’s call to Kiryu the next day to tell Kiryu that Hamazaki had passed away in the hospital. Haruka grapples with whether or not Hamazaki is a bad person and if he’s trustworthy while attempting to save his life
<After the incident where Hamazaki drifted to Morning Glory from Okinawa Penitentiary No. 2.....> We're starting off with in-game events/dialogue, Hamazaki handing over the blackmail he took from jail and asking for Kiryu's help
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Immediate flashback to earlier 3/9/2010, more in game events. The kids have just gotten back from a field trip to the woods. They had fun, and want Kiryu to come along next time. Kiryu tries to introduce Hamazaki, Haruka is not having any of it
Tumblr media
She tells Kiryu to shut up and Hamazaki to stay the hell away from everyone. Hamazaki is hurt by this, but fully understands and agrees to keep his distance
Tumblr media
Next we have the beach conversation with Kiryu where she asks if he’s going back to Tokyo and that she’s scared
Tumblr media
Haruka's usually very polite but she keeps calling Hamazaki あの浜崎って人 which is like, "that Hamazaki guy" lol
Haruka's been told by Ayako that "that Hamazaki guy" has left with Kiryu to go to the police station. She's wondering why that guy is now trying to convince Kiryu not to go to Tokyo....... isn't there going to be a big problem if Kiryu doesn't go? Did Hamazaki tell Kiryu not to go..... for Haruka's sake? There's no way, right? A bad person like him wouldn't do something like that..... She can't trust him,  but..... <Haruka flashes back to her yelling at Hamazaki and Hamazaki looking sad> She feels she might have been cruel to him
Tumblr media
She thinks that Hamzaki just looked so so sad, so she tells Ayako she's going to head out for a bit and asks her to watch over things while she's gone. She thinks that she still can't trust Hamazaki but that maybe, it's possible he really has changed, and he's not such a bad guy anymore... but she can't be sure! So she's going to talk to him a little more
<Haruka was unable to believe that Hamazaki had changed when she first saw him, and said something cruel. She's still unsure on his change, and in order to discern it for herself has decided to talk to Hamazaki directly--following Hamazaki and Kiryu to the police station>
Tumblr media
She shows the cop an photo of Kiryu and asks if he's come this way, as well as a big man with a shaved head and a scary face named Hamazaki. The officer says that they did, but went to help a lady look for her brother instead. He points Haruka in the direction they ran off in. She thanks him and wonders who this woman is, and remembers that Kiryu has a phone so she can just call him. Except she forgot her phone at morning glory...... thankfully there's a pay phone nearby, so she uses that instead. Kiryu isn't picking up though, which is worrying. She's sure Hamazaki must have done something!
She runs around the market with her picture of Kiryu asking people if they've seen him. A store owner says that yeah, he's seen that guy with the scary face, he was here not too long ago, and points her in the right direction. She follows the trail, talking to a homeless man, a younger guy, a tourist lady, and finally hitting a dead end and talking to a goon who says yeah, he's seen those three, but his memory's real fuzzy. Maybe he could remember if Haruka would show him her panties. Haruka is taken aback, he tries to grab her, and Haruka fights him off enough to escape. She hides nearby, and happens across someone bleeding on the ground. It's Hamazaki!
Tumblr media
Hamazaki is bleeding badly, and collapses. Haruka thinks that she needs to call an ambulance, and fast, but she hears someone shouting in search of Hamazaki. She knows that if they come this way they'll be out in the open, so she starts dragging him despite him being heavy
Tumblr media
the voice was of course coming from everyone's fave, Saito the Prison Warden
Tumblr media
He knows that Hamazaki got shot in the torso, so he couldn't have gone far. Haruka wonders why Saito would try to kill Hamazaki. Unfortunately Saito decides that his subordinates are useless and that if he wants anything done he'll have to do it himself
Tumblr media
He tells a homeless man that if they spot Hamazaki, Yasuko, and Kiryu he'll give them 100,000 yen, and the offer stands for any other homeless friends that help search. Haruka knows that she needs to get Hamazaki somewhere safe that they can hide, and fast. She thinks about it and remembers that right at the end of this alley there's an empty room that's never used that Taichi told her about. She manages to sneak herself and Hamazaki to the building without being spotted by the patrolling homeless men--but once in the building she finds that there's a homeless man inside. He tries to tell her to go play somewhere else but notices that she's dragging Hamazaki behind her, and starts shouting in hopes of getting the 100k. HARUKA ATTACKS THIS MAN. HARUKA OVERPOWERS THIS MAN. THIS MAN IS STRUGGLING TO GET AWAY AND HARUKA IS TELLING HIM HE CAN'T TELL ANYONE CAUSE THE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR HAMAZAKI NO OJISAN WILL KILL HIM
Tumblr media
The man comments that Haruka's hands are shaking. He says he's been there too. When he worked as a day laborer, his hands would shake like that when he was desperately trying to haul heavy things. For the sake of helping an adult she's pushing her tiny body to it's limits... He agrees not to tell anyone, he's not going to be happy with any amount of money at the cost of someone's life. If any other homeless people come by, he's going to spread rumors that Hamazaki is far away from here, so that should help with Haruka's escape Haruka thinks again about calling an ambulance, worried that Hamazaki will bleed out, but still worried that they'll be found before it gets there. She also worries about why she hasn't seen Kiryu, and why Hamazaki was all alone at that building. The guy that shot Hamazaki seems like a cop and a bad person, but she had also thought Hamazaki was a bad person before... He did shoot Hamazaki, but Hamazaki also stabbed Kiryu...
Haruka wonders if maybe telling the cops where Hamazaki is would be the right thing to do. Maybe he's the real bad guy here. In response Hamazaki makes an eloquent argument compared to every previous line which had just been "Ughh gh ughh" and instead goes for "cough cough....!"
Tumblr media
He's conscious enough to recognize Haruka as that kid who was at Kiryu's place. Haruka asks if Hamazaki is alright, and where is Kiryu? Is he okay? Hamazaki wheezes out that Kiryu's gone to a bad place, which is about the most ominous way to say things. Haruka panics internally, but unlike many other instances of miscommunication where Hamazaki would pass out right there, he says that Kiryu went with Saejima's sister to Tokyo. Haruka can't believe it. Hamazaki apologizes that he ended up separating Haruka from Kiryu after all.
Tumblr media
Hamazaki also says that, despite everything, Kiryu's doing this to keep Haruka safe. Haruka wonders about that and Hamazaki collapses again. Haruka rushes off and calls an ambulance from the closest pay phone. She thinks that, if she trusts what Hamazaki is saying, then Kiryu has something important to do again. But is that really the case? She decides it'll be alright to trust Hamazaki. Before she makes it to the pay phone she's stopped by Saito introduces himself as a prison warden and says he's looking for a very bad man. He's large and has a shaved head, and was seen with a woman in a long coat and a man in a Hawaiian shirt. Haruka says she hasn't seen anyone, and rushes to the phone to call. Saito doesn't seem too convinced. Haruka makes the call and thinks that Saito had a real scary look in his eyes. She's pretty sure he's the bad one here. Once that guy gives up looking, then she can go home
Unfortunately we have the return of the disgusting creep that wants to look at her panties, now telling her that he looked all over for her, and she better not think about trying to run away this time. Haruka tells him to stay back
Tumblr media
He says that it's fine if she hates him. In fact, that's even more enticing. She says to let her through, she's in a rush. He says he just wants to see her panties already, and tries to grab her. Another fight, she manages to avoid getting grabbed but he keeps her cornered and says she should stop fighting. He's cut off by a baton to the back of the head by the unlikeliest of heroes, dropping the creep
Tumblr media
Haruka now has to consider, is it possible that Saito isn't actually a bad guy? Haruka leaves, and Saito comments to himself that he's going to find Hamazaki.
Haruka rushes back to Hamazaki, who is still lying on the floor going Ughhghghhhhh. She tells him to hold on a little longer, and ambulance is on the way. Hamazaki apologizes, and asks if she's alright. Haruka's confused. Hamazaki says that she scraped her knee on something, didn't she? It was from dragging him, right? She says no, she just fell and scraped it. Haruka's taken aback, even on the verge of death he's concerned about someone else--he really has changed. But... this could all be an act, she has no way to know... should she really be trusting him? There's a voice outside saying that this is where he's hiding. Search everywhere. both: !?
Tumblr media
There's no time to hide, Saito is already here. Apparently it's been about 2 hours.
Tumblr media
He followed Haruka, knowing she'd lead him right to Hamazaki. He saw the blood on her clothes and had a hunch. Once they talked at that pay phone he was certain she was hiding a half-dead Hamazaki somewhere. Haruka tries to protest but Saito thanks her for her help. It's a good way to thank him for saving her from that creep, right? Either way he only stepped in because he wanted her to lead him to Hamazaki as quickly as possible. Saito decides they've had enough chit-chat and says it's time to cut to the chase: he starts beating on Hamazaki and demanding to know where Kiryu Kazuma and Saejima's sister are
Tumblr media
Hamazaki tells Haruka to run. He says that once they realize they can't beat the whereabouts of Kiryu and Saejima Yasuko out of him... they'll start torturing Haruka. He's going to use the last of his strength to stand and knock this guy to the ground, that'll be Haruka's opening to escape. Saito tells them to cut it with the whispering. Hamazaki says that Saito has a real hideous mug, it really makes him laugh, and earns himself another beating. Haruka calls out but Hamazaki cuts her off and says that it's okay to be scared. Hamazaki's dealt with plenty of guys like this. Saito threatens to kill him if he doesn't spit out where Kiryu is already. Hamazaki laughs and says he doesn't know. Saito asks if he needs his memory jogged, pauses, and sees Haruka standing in front of Hamazaki. He asks what she's trying to do. She says this is terrible! She can't let this go any further!!
Tumblr media
Saito doesn't care if she's just a kid, he's happy to give her an attitude adjustment. Hamazaki launches himself at Saito to prevent him from beating Haruka, saying that he won't allow Saito to lay a single finger on this child. Saito attacks Hamazaki with intent to kill. Hamazaki can't move anymore after the fight, and Saito keeps hitting until he goes down. Saito declares that he would never die in a place like this, he's the one who's coming out on top. He reels back to strike Hamazaki, shouting for him to die, and........ HARUKA GRABS HIM AND STOPS HIM FROM HITTING HAMAZAKI! He calls her a bitch and tells her to let go of him!
Tumblr media
Haruka: I won't let go....! Not ever.....! Hamazaki-san! Run!
Tumblr media
Saito: Let go of me you biiiiiiiiiiiiitch! Saito turns to swing at Haruka but is taken down by one giant punch from Hamazaki, who tells him not to get back up. The ambulance finally arrives. Haruka begs him to hold on just a little longer. Hamazaki agrees, and laughs a little. He stopped Saito from laying a finger on her after all. He's glad he was able to protect her. There's on favor he needs to ask of her. Hamazaki: Tell Kiryu...... and Saejima that......... the Tojo Clan... is the only proof they ever walked this earth...... They have to... protect it....... from the police
He then collapses. Haruka begs him to hold on
Tumblr media
<screen fades to black>
The doctor tells Haruka that Hamazaki is in bad shape... he might not even make it to the morning.
Tumblr media
Haruka thinks back to her yelling at Hamazaki at the orphanage Haruka: I'm sorry, Hamazaki-san..... I... I was cruel to you then... and now I can't even apologize to you for it. I'm sorry....... I'm sorry...... Hamazaki: ......What's.... wrong....... Haruka-..... chan........ Haruka: !? Doctor: Incredible.... he's awake! Haruka: H-Hamazaki-san.... I'm sorry! I... back then when I.... I'm can't apologize enough....... Haruka: Back at Morning Glory.... I didn't trust you.... I said some cruel things that hurt you.... I'm sorry! Haruka: I was certain you were a horrible person back then.... but now.... I don't think that's true.... Haruka: For protecting Uncle Kaz.... for protecting me.... thank you, Hamazaki-san! Hamazaki: Heheh.... thanks, huh? Hamazaki: ......First time.... anyone's ever said that kind of thing.... sincerely to me...... Haruka: Hamazaki-san...... Hamazaki: Heheh.... it's fine........ Since we're.... giving thanks to people..... Hamazaki: Thank you... Haruka-chan.... Right at the very end...... you saved me <Hamazaki collapses> Haruka: .....! H-Hamazaki-saaaaaan!!! <at New Serena, Kiryu gets a phone call> Kiryu: ....Haruka. What's wrong, did something happen?
Tumblr media
Haruka: Uncle Kaz... Hamazaki-san..... he just passed away. At the hospital.
Tumblr media
Straight from the in-game dialogue, Haruka tells Kiryu that Hamazaki had been shot in the back, leading to his death. He thanks Haruka for being there for him, she says it was no trouble, and that she thinks he died protecting Kiryu. Kiryu agrees. Haruka says she thinks she was wrong about Hamazaki, and passes along his message for Kiryu and Saejima, and lets Kiryu know that his body is currently at Morning Glory. Kiryu says they'll hold a memorial service once he's back <phone call ends> Haruka: .....Uncle Kaz. The Tojo Clan that Hamazaki-san protected... he's left it's protection to you. <END>
Bonus stuff:
as we all know, Haruka has not had enough people literally die in front of her eyes, so time to add Hamazaki to that list!
okay so immediately after Hamazaki wakes up in the hospital there’s this screen which made me break down into nearly crying laughter in the middle of the emotional moment, so I used my editorial authority to move it down here instead
Tumblr media
the doctor’s face! why did they do this!!
Anyways here’s all of Haruka’s little blurbs from going around the board
Tumblr media
Beach There's a beach in front of Morning Glory. We keep coming back to here to look at the ocean. It's an indispensable spot for all of us.
Tumblr media
Morning Glory Our beloved home. When I first came here, I thought it was super spacious, but lately it feels cramped. It must be because everyone has grown up.
Tumblr media
Hamazaki-san The guy who stabbed uncle Kaz.... But now, Hamazaki-san gives off a totally different vibe than back then. Is it really okay to trust him....?
Tumblr media
Ebisu Pawn The Ryukyu branch of Ebisu. Uncle Kaz goes there every now and then. I have no idea what he's pawning off but... I'd like to help.
Tumblr media
People Running Shakedowns Even in Okinawa there are people that will do shakedowns.... I need to tell everyone to keep an eye out before anything happens....!
Tumblr media
Ojisan The caretaker of Morning Glory. Honestly, everyone truly thinks of him like their dad. If you tell him something like that however, he will get embarrassed.
Tumblr media
Everyone at Morning Glory Everyone here has no parents, but each of them has a bright future ahead of them if they keep working hard. We've all become a real family for each other.
Tumblr media
Sailor Outfit For my middle school I have to wear this sailor outfit. At first I would get embarrassed when everyone looked at me.
Tumblr media
Mame A resident (pet?) of Morning Glory. Mame is getting bigger, and it's making his daily walks and pacing beforehand a real pain! (TL note: the resident (pet?) is Haruka swapping the counter between for a person and for an animal, which does not really have an english translation lol)
Tumblr media
Dragon Mask When Taichi was sick, this was used for a pro wrestling match on the beach. I haven't seen it since then. If I ask nicely, I wonder if it could be used again?
That’s all! Thank you for reading all of this!! I cherish every single tag people leave on these posts when they reblog them

A happy ending for Robby (because he deserves it so much)
Instead of ending up in juvie, Robby decides to spend some time with Shannon in the rehab clinic (he really likes it there, he's even thinking about becoming a social worker) and when he comes back to Johnny's place, he finds out that him and Carmen are getting married.
Carmen and Yaya are great people, but having to share a room (and his dad) with Miguel is too much for Robby, so he grabs his stuff one night, leaves Johnny a short note (something like: “Hey dad, I’m glad you found yourself a family. Too bad I can’t fit in it. Congrats for the wedding anyway) and then he skates away.
He isn’t that sure where he’s going, but when he recognizes the street and remembers how happy he was living there, approaches the house and knocks on the door, imagining whose face he’ll see.
It’s Anthony. His face lightens up as he turns around to shout:
“Robby’s home!”
Daniel rushes by to greet him. There’s a huge smile on his face.
“Come on in. The others are in the kitchen.”
They are having a cookout with Louie and Lucille. Robby takes a place by Sam’s side on the counter and helps her cutting potatoes. He tells her about his time with Shannon and she tells him about some new Karate techniques she learned in Okinawa. Anthony brags about his recent victories in his favorite online game.
No one asks any questions besides “how are you, Robby?”, because they are glad that the whole family is home.

Another WIP excerpt for the people who guessed in the clickbait game. <3 merci
Okinawa was hot and humid and lush, and that was the first thing Haruka noticed about it. The plane landed (Kiryu audibly let out a sigh of relief) and they waited patiently to be told they could disembark. From her window seat Haruka could see the moving walkway, tunnel-thing being moved to the door of the airplane. The seatbelt light turned off. Kiryu stood, cracked his neck from side to side (Haruka flinched in disgust, but he would probably never be able to break the habit so she didn’t bother criticizing) and stretched as best as he could given his height and the cramped space, and then he got their luggage down from the overhead container. They had to wait a long time to actually get off the plane, because they were at the back. Cheap seats. But as they passed into the tunnel, the humidity hit them. It was like stepping into a totally foreign clime - which is exactly what it was. Automatically Kiryu looked down to exchange a glance with her, a look that would have appeared neutral to anyone else. But Haruka could see that his eyes were a little wide, his eyebrows a little raised. Surprise and wonder. She smiled back at him excitedly and held his hand, while pulling her own rolling luggage with the other.
The baggage claim was crowded, but luckily enough their one suitcase of checked luggage was one of the first to come out. Many people, Haruka figured as Kiryu hefted the big rolling bag and worked out how to secure his own duffel on top of it, would have more than one big suitcase if they were moving across the country. But she and Kiryu were not most people. The airport had a smile burger and Kiryu asked her if that would be an okay dinner. She said yes; a last taste of the familiar, in a new context. Like a goodbye. The Okinawa Smile Burger menu was slightly different. They ate, and then used the airport restrooms. Haruka tried to go fast, but even so, by the time she finished Kiryu was already lurking by the entrance of the ladies’ washroom, fairly radiating anxiety and making the other women there nervous. His eyes shone with relief upon swing Haruka emerge. She patted his arm reassuringly. Kiryu smoked a cigarette outside the airport, the Okinawa sun golden on his shoes only, because of the angle of the sun and the roof over the sidewalk. He tilted his head back to blow the smoke away, and the hand that didn’t hold his cigarette hung loosely but its fingers fluttered and drummed against his leg. It was hot. Haruka looked in wonder at the palm trees by the road there. It was like in a movie. Kiryu finished, tapped the cigarette out in a receptacle, and coughed a little. “Thanks for waiting, Haruka.” Always serious. “No problem, Ojisan.” He had bought her a juice to drink while he smoked and she carried it with her, taking little sips, as they moved on. It was mango. After a brief false start they found the train and Kiryu fumbled with his money and bought tickets and asked her again if she was sure she had all her luggage, and he carried her bag as well as his own and the large suitcase onto the platform and then onto the train, and she sat quietly watching the scenery rush by as Kiryu looked from the window to the train route map to his ticket to the directions and address on his phone, over and over and over again. “This must be Ryukyu,” Kiryu said, peering out the window and pointing at the small city as they passed. Haruka saw a snatch of restaurant signs, too fast to read. “Well, it sure isn’t Tokyo,” she said. Kiryu hummed agreement. “I’m looking forward to getting to know this city,” she said. And Kiryu hummed again, and checked the directions on his phone for the fiftieth time. They got off at their stop and Kiryu carried their luggage down from the train onto the platform. The sun was soaking the whole world orange, like the sky was drenched in light. The sunsets in Tokyo never looked like this, never cast the whole scene in their colors. Maybe it was the buildings blocking too much of the sky, or the neon spoiling it. Kiryu wiped at his forehead. He took off his jacket and draped it over his shoulder and rolled up his shirt sleeves. “We’ll walk from here,” he said. “It should only be about twenty minutes or so.” “Okay.” Kiryu stopped when they hit the dirt road. “It’s bumpy,” he said. “Do you want me to carry your bag?” Haruka was tired after the long day, but Kiryu was also drained - she could tell from his posture and the look in his eye. And he was already carrying their combined suitcase as well as his own bag. “That’s okay, Ojisan,” she said with her brightest smile. And she took his hand in hers once more, and led the way towards their new home, dragging her luggage along the dusty little road. There were probably only about five minutes of walking left before they reached the orphanage when Kiryu stopped, the gravel of the track crunching and settling under his feet. Haruka looked up at him. “What is it?” “I’m... nervous,” he admitted quietly. “I’ve never done anything like this.”

Langa Head cannons pt.2
thanks to all who jumped on the last one here's some more langa head cannons.
-credit to tiktok user @tashy.a for this head cannon y'all should check out their account she has some great, funny stuff; Langa used his dads last name in Canada and his moms in Japan. so its like a superman situation.
-running off that one, Langa has a middle name unlike most people in Japan. this confuses reki, shadow and Miya like immensely (matcha blossom took some time abroad). like with the last name he switches which one he uses depending on the country. in Japan he's Langa but in Canada its like Alexandrie. Reki shadow and Miya can't pronounce it.
~because there's not enough of snowboarding in this fandom head cannon~
-even though he was decent at getting air in the halfpipe comps, that wasn't his discipline. Langa was a backcountry snowboarder.
-langa was snowboarding since he was two so he was definitely at the top of his game and like travelling all the time for comps like a full time pro.
-Langa was sponsored by red bull.
-my favourite : LANGA CRAVES THE SCARY ADRENALINE RUSH HE GETS AT S THAT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYONE BECAUSE LANGA USED TO DO HELIBOARDING. THE ONE WHERE A CHOPPER DROPS YOU AT THE PEAK OF  MOUNTAIN AND YOU GO DOWN IT, YEAH THAT!
-side note to that, langa has most definitely been caught in an avalanche once or twice. as a result he has like three metal plates. Joe has similar and they both use them to tell when the weathers changing, but mostly el dorado bullshit it.
-once in Okinawa (post cannon) Langa finds out from cherry about hill bombing and the downhill skateboarders that go down like mountain roads and immediately decides to try it. like s is downhill but its not that downhill and everyone keeps trying to restrain him from doing it.
-langa speaks French-Canadian but like with Japanese he can't write it properly mainly because he is dyslexic.
-langa smokes. like regularly. when he can't get weed he’ll settle for plain cigarettes, and no one finds out until he pulls out his pack, lights up, and drags just so he can stub it out on Adam. after they stop laughing cherry and Joe keep trying to make him quit. Reki just finds it a little bit hot.
-Langa’s mum bought him his own motorbike as a present for Christmas.
-Miya has definitely asked Langa multiple times to pick him up from school on said bike. Langa has never refused.
-langa has a mild French accent that peaks through when he's tired and his o’s  and his r’s get that guttural sound.
-Langa is embarrassed about how much he eats, but loves eating at Joes’s restaurant because Joe always serves him a large enough portion first go around, so he never has to ask for seconds.
-Langa is cousins with Kagami Taiga. no argument.
remember all head cannons are up for adoption as fics because I don't have enough talent to write them. let me know what/who you want next?
