It took you by surprise.  But you obliged, putting your hand around the back of his neck to pull him toward you even as your heart rattled wildly in your ribs.

You kissed him, mouth capturing his fully, your tongue meeting his in the wet darkness of his mouth. You tried to keep the desperation from leaking through, to keep your actions intentional and precise.  You still wanted to keep control, to not lose yourself.  What if you came across as too desperate? What if it turned him off?

It apparently wasn’t what he wanted.

He pushed you away the smallest fraction, breaking the kiss.  His eyes bore into yours, challenging you. “Kiss me like you fucking mean it."

so I do know that yuji usually sleeps fine at night but I do think sukuna bothers him often. more or less torments him by saying cruel things. because , to sukuna , if he’s trapped inside this boys body why not break him down a bit? he’s already struggling with all that’s happening to him so being attacked emotionally within his own mind makes everything worse. at first he tries not to let it get to him but as time goes on it starts affecting yuji no matter how much he ignores it. this is just my personal headcanon but it’s been on my mind all day.

ik we have discussed in past about which character shouldve died in ck if matthias didnt (since at least one character needed to die to fulfill the theme of the duology) but more and more im thinking nina as my second choice to die

#ok like #from a logistical and narrative perspective #(so like with the assumption death of a mc is necessary to demonstrate injustice and randomness of their world but from external perspective #not someting that falls into offensive trope or is narratively unsatisfying) #my next choice narrative based choice is wylan but cannot kill for external reasons re perpetrating bury ur gays trope #we are not killing inej because it really wouod be so unfair to her narrative and so cruel #and if we are being honest kaz is the number one main character and thus cant die #jesper is just like who would even consider killing #that leaves nina who obviously has a very different path before her if matthias didnt die #she has so many things left to do in life! but in soc universe that doesnt matter #the main issues would be 1) wtf to do with matthias then whose whole existence and character depends on nina #and 2) shes so beloved the other characters cant pursue their logical narrative paths if she dies #which i guess goes to show leigh kinda picked a death that would have the least impact on characters besides nina which is frustrating #if it was a death that was going to be really felt by everyone these consequences would be crucial #but i think leigh didnt rlly want to change the course of their paths which is fine i get it! someone had to die mat was logical choice! #but such interesting potential if a character the others were closer with was chosen

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

so when straight people ask me why I say I’m “queer” or “gay” instead of sharing my actual identity as a panromantic demisexual non-binary sapphic queer I just tell them “ok look, when you’re talking to someone who isn’t local and they ask you where you’re from and you either say the name of the largest city nearby or ‘town name, suburb of large nearby city’ so they can get some geographical context of where you’re located right, bc they’re probably not going to know the name of the little town you actually live in.”

but if you’re talking to a local you can say the name of your actual town bc they have a greater chance of knowing where/what that is.

ok well when I’m talking to a straight person I start with queer bc chances are they aren’t as familiar with the context of all the little towns in that big queer city and need gps (gay positioning system) to find me.

if I’m talking to another queer person and I say I live in a suburb of gay city in a town called panromantic on the demisexual side of the tracks which is in the county of queer and I live off the intersection of non-binary and sapphic, they’d probably be able to find me with little to no problems, make sense?

the commodification of friendship is the most annoying thing to come out of the internet in ages. like actually i love to break this to you but you're supposed to help your friends move even if it's hard work. or stay up with them when they're sad even if you're gonna lose sleep. you're supposed to listen to their fears and sorrows even if it means your own mind takes on a little bit of that weight. that's how you know that you care. they will drive you to the airport and then you will make them soup when they're sick. you're supposed to make small sacrifices for them and they are supposed to do that for you. and there's actually gonna be rough patches for both of you where the balance will be uneven and you will still be friends and it will not be unhealthy and they will not be abusive. life is not meant to be an endless prioritization of our own comfort if it was we would literally never get anywhere ever. jesus.
