Wanted to expand on some domesticated animals of Mirum. These are basically cat-dog birds, ranging in size from cat to medium sized dog. Still need a name for group over all, suggestions appreciated! In depth info below the cut!

1. The OG This is the wild ancestral form, basically the wolf to the dog. They are from the grass/shrub lands of Mirum and spend most of the year scrounging around for food until the end of the wet season. Once the floods are over they pop out babies like nobodies business while feeding on the debris left by the flooding. By the time fire season rolls around their numbers are pretty scarce. They travel in little groups with multiple hens and one big buff man! But this man does not necessarily need to be a male, or a bird even! They were the first species domesticated by the chimera and the only one to leave Mirum with them. The ‘Natural’ Breeds These are just the morphs bred into these fellas without any magical manipulation involved, so they still look relatively close to their wild ancestors. 2. The Cupid These are purely pets, originally kept just for eggs they lost that purpose as more efficient birds came around for that. Now they just make docile lil lapbirds. Though inattentive owners will find old eggs hidden throughout the house if they’re not careful. Most of the time though they tend to stay by their owners ankles. 3. The Ruff Fluffy lil guys who make for great pest control, they’re a very sporty breed despite everything and need a lot of energy to stop them from destroying their surroundings out of boredom. Will do well with another ruff or dog of similar size, though they can be a bit of a bully in the care of a lax owner. 4. The Gallop Literally just made for running, can keep up with a chimera at full sprint and at a normal long distance run. For those with a more active lifestyle. Though they will just as happily laze around all day, just happy to be included honestly. These are also the best swimmers of the natural breeds with their extra oily coat. 5. The Dome This is a purely ornamental bird, stocky and colorful they are the most relaxed of all the birds. Most prefer chimeric company to that of other birds and have a habit of separation anxiety when not with their owner. In line with that, these are the most accepting of chimeric ‘talk’ with most quickly getting accustomed to projected commands. Though please don’t overwhelm your bird, casting the full range of sentient experience unto lesser beings CAN and WILL cause them existential distress! Not to mention your personality may displace your pet’s. 6. The Fluff The original pillow stuffing. These guys feathers are softer than any other. Keeping a mostly downy ‘undercoat’ for their whole life. That being said these guys can get absolutely RANCID if not kept clean and tidy. Only for the most advanced and attentive of owners unless you want an unholy dingleberry beast skulking around. They also are VERY bitey. 7. Crested These are historically for eating, but have grown to be a very pish posh fancy breed. Most are pure white, thanks to inbreeding, and albeit are not the sharpest tools in the shed. But if you are looking for a bird who may just ignore your commands but love you eternal, this is your bird!

That’s them so far, will make the magical monstrosities later. Also wanted to try a different lineart style. Thin is nice but I miss my chunky brush. Glad to have tried it though!

Nightwing headcanons. I wasn’t going to continue the headcanon’s sheet, but I was feeling inspired.

-Anyways the OG Nightwings where fairly close in genetic relation to Skywings (they’re original post-Scorching territory was the southern half of the Claws of the Clouds Mountains before the Skywings kicked them out under the logic of “any point of high elevation belongs to us”). They take a lot of inspiration from assorted birds (wink wink @aphoniaa Nightwing raven and barn owl variations). They’re feathers are very glossy/iridescent, especially their hummingbird-like gorgets. They’re colors are typically very saturated but still dark (like a sunset or those very pretty pictures of the night sky).

-Despite being very superstitious, there was still a sizable section of the population (about 1/5-ish) that where skeptical of Clearsights prophecies (mostly the more rural parts of the population). They tried to stay behind, but either bad luck or Darkstalker’s magic led to a lot disasters (e.g, flooding, crop failure, livestock plagues), and eventually an invasion by Sandwings in order to claim riches from the weakened population. The diaspora went assorted ways, mostly ending up in the eastern side of the continent to avoid Ice and Sandwings. The most popular location was ironically deep inside the western Rainforest Kingdom, which I envision having nice, dense tree cover and lots of sinkholes and caves.

-Volcano Nightwings are practically a different tribe from the OG Nightwings. They’re designs are influenced by assorted bats (such as micro bats and hammerhead bats), Komodo dragons and other monitor lizards, and, oddly enough, shar pei dogs. From my very poor understanding of the dog breeds; shar peis and thus their wrinklies where bred for fighting. This is beneficial for the Nightwings when you need to fight a dozen other giant lizards over a dead seagull.

-All of the spines are made of fleshy skin. I’m sorry.

-Volcano Nightwings aren’t just partially lava-proof; they also have very “armored” lungs. They accidentally discovered they needed to keep non Nightwing prisoners in well ventilated cells on side islands otherwise they would just die from nasty volcano fumes in a few hours.

-I don’t have much to say about the Rainforest version (evolved both out of the OG Nightwings that ended up in the Rainforest and the Volcano Nightwing refugees). They are mostly based of geckos. I kind of half-assed this one.

Jordan Brand has announced the highly anticipated return of the iconic Air Jordan 1 "Bred" in its original Hi '85 form, set to release in 2025. The news, initially reported by Sneaker Files and zsneakerheadz, comes at a time when interest in the model has waned. Facts about the Nidoran♂ Family

I’ve got my Pokemon Scarlet/Violet bundle coming in the mail today so I don’t know if these posts will continue to be daily.

1. Nidoran♂ and his female counterpart were the only mentions of gender in Generation I

Pokemon with gender differences were not introduced until Generation IV and the concept of gender was not introduced until Generation II. As such, the Nidoran families were the only mention of gender in Generation I, and both Nidoran species remain separate.

2. Nidoran♂ can still produce female Nidoran eggs

As mentioned in the previous post, female Nidoran can produce male Nidoran eggs. When bred with a Ditto, Nidoran♂ can also produce female Nidoran eggs. This is also the same for Nidorino and Nidoking, as they do not lose the ability to breed as their female counterparts do.

3. Nidorino is one of the first Pokemon ever seen

It’s a classic opening of the OG Pokemon games, Nidorino vs. Gengar. Later versions do replace Nidorino with Gengar, but the remakes use Nidorino. The anime also starts out with the same duo in a Game Boy fight before going to a live fight in a stadium that Ash was watching.

4. Nidoran♂ and his evolutions draw inspirations from hyraxes

While Nidoran♂ and his evolutions draw inspiration from porcupines, rabbits, hamsters, and mice, they most closely resemble hyraxes. Hyraxes are small rodent-like mammals that are closely related to larger mammals such as elephants and manatees, which may reference Nidoran♂‘s evolutions being based on rhinoceroses.

5. Nidorino and Nidoking retain their ability to breed

While Nidorina and Nidoqueen cannot breed, Nidorino and Nidoking are still able to. This allows Nidorino and Nidoking to produce eggs containing female Nidoran when bred with Ditto.

6. Nidoking is a popular Pokemon for rivals in the anime

Gary and Paul were two of Ash’s most prominent rivals and had Nidokings.

I am still very very tiffed that zombie dungeon spawners will spawn villager zombies on bedrock and not on java. I am. So tiffed. How dare they. I was SO HOPING for zombie villagers. Anyway that half of why I never posted an update on my challenge world, @ageblue . The other half of the reason is, after that week of sulking, I just...kept forgetting.

No screenshots cause the ones in the folder don’t look right? Did I accidentally delete them? I don’t know. If I repeat anything, OH WELL. Anyway. I got my enchanting table. I’m thinking about suspending the enchanting area from the farming platform. Iron chains would be ideal but I don’t actually like mining(another reason I wanted VILLAGERS AUGH) so it’ll be hard to make myself buckle down and do it. Especially with the horrible caves. I’ll need an anvil too. I guess. I want the platform to be, like, black. I wish I could make a way up that was invisible but I don’t know how. :/ Make a fucking parkour route...(i suck at parkour lol)

*sigh* The fucking llamas. THE FUCKING LLAMAS. After a bunch of trials and tribulations which involved makeshift pens, accidentally digging into my hovel, finding out that llamas fall through 1 block openings when on a lead(into my hovel), more makeshift pens, frantic fence misplacing, and then tiredly shoving llamas along, I got the llamas separated from the wandering trader and in a pen. A week later, I saw a video wherein the person just got the llamas in a boat and the fucking leads popped right off. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- *muffles self and continues*

The wandering trader then did a bunch of longing staring and wandering about the pen, as if to find a way in. Then he briefly went for a swim. I was...concerned.

Anyway, the llamas. I tamed them and bred them. Yay! The baby grew up. Yay! I tried to breed the llamas again and it didn’t seem to take. Whatever, I’ll figure it out. I come back, there’s only two llamas. I am confused and assume the original llamas, for some reason, are still despawning despite the taming. After all, babies are born tamed so how else could one be gone? I quickly breed the two I have, thinking that at least I’ll still have the two once the other og llama poofs. Later, I have two llamas again. Alrighty, should be fine now. I breed them. And later. I have two llamas. Again. *deep breath*

Wandering trader llamas, even if tamed, will produce untamed babies. About 5 minutes after they grow up, they will despawn. There was a lot of blank staring at the screen while figuring out what to do, and plan designing and implementing plans and finding out the plans didn’t work and more plan designing and finally settling on a truly annoying setup but I’m not sure what else I could have done. Also AAAAAA THE FUCKING CARAVANS CAN YOU BASTARDS JUST NOT???

I just thought of a potential way but I do not want to have to set that up ALL OVER AGAIN so WHATEVER.

On the bright side I had a fun time describing the situation to my mother(because I don’t know ANYONE WHO PLAYS MINECRAFT IN REAL LIFE(i mean i suppose i know the kids at the minecraft program at the library that i used to run but, uh, no thanks)) and watching her grow more and more dismayed as I explained every problem with my attempts and her suggestions, leaving me with only this hilarious inefficient setup. Yes, Mother, FEEL MY PAIN.

So what have I ended up with? I have 4(6?) pairs of llamas, each in separate small pens so they’re easy to feed(did you know that, contrary to the wiki, llamas(or at least trader llamas) will absolutely keep eating hay bales even when they’re at full health and can’t breed? ahahahahahahaha). There is a fence gate, covered with a fence post so I can put the baby on a lead. I then have to DRAG THE BABY away from their parents while they desperately try to get back to them. I have to wrangle them into another pen. Did you know you can only have 3 leads active at one time? SO helpful. I have to get the other babies into the pen while making sure no others manage to escape. (see, because to feed the adults I have to have a block to get on so I don’t feed the same bastard several times, there’s a way back into the parent’s pen and THE BABES KNOW IT) Then /I/ have to get out of the pen without the others escaping. At the start of this I had to set a fucking timer for when they grow up, because otherwise they will despawn before I get what I want(which at this point is another couple pairs because the agony of wrangling the first two from this setup wasn’t enough, I guess). Once I get the other pairs I want, that’s it. I’ll only get like 8 llamas every 10 minutes(assuming i am right on top of things which YOU SHOULD NEVER ASSUME) but I just. There is no mass creating of llamas here.

Finally, after finishing everything, I remembered a thought I’d had while setting up my wheat/tree limiting platform. “Man, this might be too big a wheat field. I certainly don’t need 4 fields worth...Oh wait! Llamas need hay bales to breed and I’ll need them for books! And since I’ll just breed the lot of them til I have a bunch and then kill most of them, I’ll need a lot of hay bales. This won’t be too big at all!” *hysterical laughter*

I just thought for a moment that I could try breeding the newly grown llamas real quick and then kill them(all in 5 minutes!) for quicker leather production but you have to tame them to breed them, don’t you... *sigh* That would be way too stressful for me.

Anyway I hate MC llamas now. Going on a research check afterwards and finding out about the villager zombies DIDN’T HELP. Oh my GOSH it didn’t. I’m so fucking sour about that. I was so mad I went back to a 1.16 world, lmao. At least THERE I can have VILLAGERS and not fall into STUPID PITS. Have I used them for anything? ...No...but at least I COULD.
