A new rule to increment discrimination
Context:
Public healthcare is one of the places where the most Catalanophobic interactions are reported. In 4 years, more than 100 Catalan speakers have reported that they have been denied healthcare or otherwise discriminated against for speaking Catalan, or were unable to access any healthcare in Catalan in a Catalan-speaking territory.
From disabled people who only speak Catalan being refused any medical attention unless they speak Spanish (which they don't know how to speak), to a man calling the ambulance but the healthcare worker who answers the phone spends the time scolding the caller for not speaking Spanish instead of calling for the urgently-needed ambulance, to many, many, many, many, many, many doctors telling patients "either you speak in Spanish or you leave", and many others given choices that link their language to shame: "would you rather speak Catalan or your son get cured?", "do you want to speak Catalan or do you want a vaccine appointment?", or being told "[derrogatory/infantilizing word for "woman"], you're making me waste time" for seeking medical attention as a Catalan-speaker.
Lack of access to healthcare is a systemic problem for Catalan people, who are often forced to use Spanish if we want medical treatment in our own country.
People should have the right to access public services (that they pay for with their own tax money) in the language of the country. Can you imagine an English speaker in England not being able to see any doctor or nurse who can attend them in English? Or in French in France, or German in Germany? It doesn't happen because speakers of the dominant language have the State on their side, but Catalan speakers have the Spanish (and French, in the case of Northern Catalonia) Government actively working against us.
And, more than anywhere else, in a moment of great vulnerability like the medical setting, it's very important that patients can speak their own language and not have to worry about translating concepts, they need to have the confidence to speak clearly on what happens to them and be focused on the issue, not on word choice or accent of this second language. Even less be worried about possibly facing discrimination for it.
The new rule:
The new Government of the Valencian Country (a coalition of the right-wing party PP and the fascist party Vox, both Spanish supremacist parties who make the hatred against Catalan/Valencian one of their main campaign points) has announced yet another way to increment that discrimination.
Until now, to decide who to hire for public jobs, there was a system of points, where each kind of certificate and qualification gave you some points. Speaking the local language (Valencian/Catalan) was already not a requisite —legally creating the situation where doctors and nurses can not know any of the language spoken in the place where they work. But, until now, speaking the local language at least gave some extra points.
Now, this new Spanish supremacist regional government has decided that knowing Valencian in the Valencian Country to work in a job with public interaction is worth less than speaking any language of an independent EU state. This means that you get more points for speaking, for example, Latvian, Swedish, Maltese, Slovak or Lithuanian, than for speaking the language of the place where you will be working and where you will be talking to people.
Tumblr media
My full respect for speakers of all these languages, but (as an example) a hypothetical Estonian speaker who you might never even encounter in a Valencian town should not be worth more than the very real Valencian speakers that you will surely encounter working in the Valencian Country.
This rule is another step to legally protect systemic discrimination and to make it continue in the future.
Note: Valencian and Catalan are two names for the same language. They're being used interchangeably.

How to be a US Pharmacist if you’re a Philippine Registered Pharmacist.
Tumblr media
(Overview of the process ⬆️)
Maraming nagtatanong sa page ko kung paano daw maging US Pharmacist as a Filipino Pharmacist. Kaya, I'll just create a one big post about it. Oo nga pala, it's really hard to get a work visa/sponsorship from the US kung foreign pharmacist ka.
So, kung wala kang way na makapunta ng US to legally work (like a petition, etc) it'll be difficult (Unlike sa mga nurses). I'm no visa expert and won't be able to answer any at all.
but if you're already in the US (as a citizen/permanent resident) and you have a BS Pharmacy degree from the Philippines, here's for you!
First, let's talk about qualifications:
1. You have to be a licensed pharmacist in your home country first. kailangan, board passer ka muna sa Philippines. HINDI REQUIRED ang ANY work experience to qualify for the exam.
2. Your education should be a MINIMUM of 5- years if you graduated after Jan 1, 2003. Kapag 4 years lang natapos, you'll have to go back to school for another year (CLINICAL PHARMACY) or PharmD (plus 2 years). NO EXCEPTIONS. again, di naman mandatory ang pharmD. Okay na yung clinical pharmacy. Also, Not MS/PhD kasi i-evaluate siya case by case and hindi guaranteed to qualify.
Pero kung grumaduate ka before ng Jan 1, 2003, you can take the exam with a 4-year degree as long as you passed the other requirements like TOEFL, good standing w/ your license sa PH, etc.
After meeting the education requirements, no need to study again in the US.
For me, I graduated sa CEU-Manila noong 2015. Kulang yung 4- years na degree ko kaya I went back to school noong 2020-2021 (Clinical pharmacy). I'll link below my experience a full-time student sa Philippines while also working full-time in Texas.
Let's talk about the exams you need to take:
1. TOEFL (ENGLISH TEST) - there are minimum scores you need to achieve. Kahit offered ang TOEFL sa Philippines, it's only acceptable by the US kapag tinake mo siya mismo sa US territories or parts of Canada. You can take this exam with a US tourist visa. TOEFL ha, not IELTS. You can take this anytime kasi 2 years naman ang validity niya.
2. FPGEE (Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Exam). Itong exam na ito ay para sa mga Pharmacists educated outside of the USA. Kahit sa Philippines ka grumaduate, or UK, or Canada, Australia, SAME EXAM for EVERYONE. You need to pass this exam in order for you to INTERN sa desired state mo. This exam is usually administered ONCE A YEAR DURING FALL. You can take this exam with a tourist visa. Btw, it is important to say na kahit na qualified ka na to take the FPGEE, it doesn't guarantee your US tourist visa acceptance. kaya plan accordingly.
question about how to apply? please join the PH FPGEE support group. I already posted the detailed instructions on how to file your application. here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/filipinofpgeesupport/
Next step is INTERNSHIP. Once you passed TOEFL and FPGEE you're given an FPGEC certification which is a requirement for foreign pharmacists to start Internship! With internship, US tourist visa is not allowed anymore. You need to have a work visa na. Yung required hours ay depende sa state kung saan ka mag-wwork. Example sa California ay 1500 hours. Sa Texas ay 1740 hours. CHECK your RESPECTIVE state's Board of Pharmacy.
3. NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination). Ito pa lang mismo ang US Pharmacy Boards. I've shared to you my experience when I took it. Ito yung exam na tinatake ng mga FPGEE passers after internship and PharmD graduates ng US. Please see my posts about sa details ng exam and my experiences. I'll link them below.
4. The last exam is MPJE/CPJE. Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® aka the LAW EXAM. Kahit naipasa mo yung NAPLEX pero hindi yung MPJE, you won't be able to practice as a US Pharmacist. This is a very tricky exam and it should not be taken lightly.
after you take these exams + Internships, you're now a US Pharmacists!! Good luck everyone and I encourage you to read the official BULLETINS only from the NABP site. Sila lang ang naglalabas ng official requirements and wag maniwala sa mga sabi-sabi.
If you have any questions except VISA, feel free to message me as I have taken all the exams na. I'm here to help yo Pero before you ask anything, please read this "frequently asked questions": https://theilustrado.com/faqforcc Any repeating questions won't be answered kasi nakalagay naman na diyan. 🙂

A new survey found that nearly half (43 percent) of medical workers in Russia say they know colleagues who have used forged documents to certify that they’ve obtained voluntary additional qualifications, according to the newspaper Kommersant.
In the study, which was conducted by the service Aktion Meditsina, 51 percent of doctors, 25 percent of managers, and 40 percent of mid-level medical personnel such as nurses and paramedics who responded said they know of colleagues who have used falsified certificates. Respondents said they believe their colleagues use the fake documents in order to attract more patients, to increase their odds of getting hired, and to qualify for bonuses.
Gynecologist Maria Gubareva, the head of the Moscow branch of the medical workers’ union Deistvie, told Kommersant that there “plenty of firms” that offer to increase workers’ qualification categories, and that the majority of them obtain falsified documents “through official channels.”

Saline is a vampire nurse who got their medical certification roughly in 1550 and has not updated the qualification since.
They run a questionable doctors clinic, which in reality is a front for a blood trafficking ring for other vampires. Unethical business practices include taking copious amounts of blood from unsuspecting patients and ungodly opening hours... At least you get a lollipop for your troubles...

Thirsty | 3k | yoonmin✍🏼
Student Jimin cant stop thinking of recently back from maternity leave Yoongi whose shirt almost bursts when that mama straightens his posture. He notices something wet on it and tells him about it after lecture and it becomes obvious his milfy prof is leaking milk.
Tumblr media
[ nsfw, age gap (jimin is 36, yoongi is 24), lactation, blowjobs, jimsu ]
Being much older, it was hard to fit in among his groupmates. Jimin has expected it would be ever since he came back from his service around six years ago. He didn't want to get back to academic education soon as it didn't attract him one bit. He was living comfortably off the profits his small firm was bringing, the one he established when he was in his twenties. Now, as a thirty six year old man, he found himself in his last year of college.
He met an old classmate of his and he convinced him to have other qualifications rather than various courses Jimin had. That it was a good thing, just in case. And he suggested a local college that was fairly lenient with older students as they understood they were combining work and education.
Jimin decided to take that chance and enrolled. He didn't quite need the certification but his old friend was right - why not have it just in case life turns an unpredictable way? And he expected not to fit in with the younger crowd which was normal. Still he was able to easily go through every semester, every assignment and not fail yet.
One of his main subjects was even enjoyable for him. He picked up several books for extra reading and researched at home, taking notes for future coursework. Today they had that very subject scheduled for all day. Jimin frowned when he saw an unfamiliar surname and judging by what his classmates said teacher Min was just starting to work this year as he was just released from his maternity leave.
Oh, Jimin thought. Some folks said he was just twenty four and considering the fact that teaching education lasts for five years and maternity leave lasts three... he was a fairly young parent. To some it would be something to frown upon but the alpha felt happy for the younger man. Proceeding with education while having a baby on his hands? Teacher min already had his respect as a person without even meeting him.
He was so immersed in his thoughts he didn't notice the said teacher coming into the classroom. He was sitting on the first row, twirling a pen between his fingers and staring into nothing as a pair of beautiful hands came into his line of vision.
He thought he was pretty indifferent to such part of someone's body, preferring something round and squishy but to his surprise he couldn't bring himself to look away from them. Couldn't stop tracing those prominent veins with his eyes, couldn't stop moving his gaze from one pink knuckle to another.
A greeting said in a rich deep voice brought his attention. He looked up and saw teacher Min introducing himself and reading the list of the students in the group to check the attendance. Jimin had to use all his willpower not to start throwing pheromones because that omega was utterly gorgeous.
The hourglass like silhouette of his body dressed in fine fitted pants and light blue shirt didn't help his self control at all. His obviously wide hips from birthing and rounded chest - it was like he came right out of Jimin's fantasy. The buttons were almost popping with the way they were straining against his breasts every time the teacher straightened his posture.
The scent he carried was mouthwatering, spicy with the hint of milk - obviously from nursing or just being close to the baby - and that only spurred the alpha on. He was finding it harder and harder to sit through every lecture, suppressing the urge to just excuse himself and relieve some pressure in the bathroom.
He was polite to the omega, greeting him with respect and always with a smile on his face. He made sure their fingers would touch every time Min handed out printouts. He'd give him some compliments when noone would hear and watched, pleased, as the omega blushed and batted his eyelashes at him through his glasses.
His attention was always drawn to Yoongi, to his soft youthful features, to the lines of his curvy body. To the way he talked and chuckled, explaining everything with the confidence of a freshly trained person. More often he would catch the small smiles aimed back at him. That gave him a sliver of hope. That warmed the alpha instantly and for a while he didn't take any actions, preferring to tread carefully.
One day Min's lectures were the last in their schedule. It was Friday so Yoongi dismissed most of the students who were coming from nearby towns to study from attending the last academic hour so they could catch their trains on time. Jimin was one of the locals so he stayed with some others and diligently took notes, taking pictures and sending to the group's chat.
For the last half an hour he started noticing some distressed notes in the omega's scent. Yoongi resolved to sitting at his table and was pressing a hand over his chest and retracting it instantly. He was obviously uncomfortable, looking at the clock on the wall, waiting for the lecture to end.
And then he noticed something on the teacher's shirt. It was kind of damp on one side of his chest and it was getting obvious from the scent it was milk. The alpha blushed and before the teacher could stand up, he stooped him, offering his hand to help give everyone the printouts for studying home. Though the bell didn't ring yet for the last lesson in the schedule and Min still dismissed everyone.
He stayed seated at his desk, wiping the sweat off his forehead as students left the room one by one. All except Jimin.
- Teacher Min? - he asked when they were the only one left in the classroom.
- Yes, Jimin-ssi? - his tone was tired and he was obviously trying not to make it seem like that, - Was everything clear to you today?
- Yes, it was, much easier than last year's material.
- Ah, that's great. Then how can I help you?
- Sorry, you have something on your shirt here, - he looked down at his chest and then back at his face respectfully, - Thought I'd let you know before I leave.
- Ohh, - the omega sighed looking down as well and his expression turned dejected, - Thanks for telling me.
- My mama used to drink this - what's it called - it was mint and sage brew? When she wanted to stop. - the alpha coughed, in disbelief with himself.
He didn't think he'd have the courage to say anything on the topic. Not that it shouldn't be talked about! It was natural after all. It's just this was affecting him in ways he didn't quite expect.
- I haven't tried that yet, - the teacher noted and wrote down the names on his phone, - the medicine should have worked but the side effects...
- We heal one thing and spoil the other, - Jimin nodded and they hummed in understanding.
- I should then... I actually have to idea, I'm still getting used to the logistics inside this place. Do you happen to know where the staff bathroom is?
Oh, Jimin thought, was he going to pump some of it out? He was getting dizzy thinking about that.
- I'm sorry, I don't. - the alpha watched as the younger man sighed and started collecting his things.
- I could give you a lift? - the alpha offered, - I noticed you use public transportation and it may be better to get you home quickly?
- I'd usually say no but I'll have to take you up on this offer, - he answered through his gritted teeth.
Jimin insisted on taking his heavy case and held out his coat that he wrapped around the broad shoulders of the omega. They walked the almost empty hallways and checked out of the college building. The parking was close by and soon Jimin opened the back to put all their belongings there and opened the passenger door, offering a hand so Yoongi can easily get inside his jeep.
In the confined space the scent of the milk and the omega were getting much more intense. The alpha took a deep breath before starting the engine. They didn't get very far as on one of the bumps the car jostled and Yoongi let out a painful moan.
- Sorry, - he said meekly, clutching both of his hands together in front of his chest.
- No, don't be, - the alpha stretched his hand and touched the teacher's shoulder lightly, - It must be painful. One of my friends was the same when he stopped nursing his eldest.
- Hmm, - Yoongi hummed, rubbing his palms over his strained shirt. - You do seem to know a lot about it. A nice thing for the alpha.
- I guess it's because I'm a little older. We have been brought differently, - he glanced at the way Yoongi's eyebrows were furrowed. - If we were close and you'd be comfortable I'd offer to help you even.
A small smile bloomed on the omega's face.
- Help me how? - he looked at the alpha, - We're not in college here, come on. I'm actually curious now.
- Well, how should I put it? I'm feeling quite thirsty now, - they stopped at the traffic lights and Jimin pointedly looked at Yoongi's rounded milkers.
Yoongi gasped. He looked scandalized. Jimin kind of expected a slap on his arm but then the omega's big hand stayed there, clutching at it.
- In any other case I'd verbally send you where the sun doesn't shine but... - he scrunched his face as the car started moving again.
- Hold on, - Jimin said and took a ninety degree turn. Two streets down and they parked next to the arboretum, a local attraction that was bustling with people during the day.
However, on this late autumn evening there was hardly a soul there. The parking was dimly lit and Jimin cut off the engine. He turned to the gorgeous omega that was filling the space with his distressed scent and still clutching onto his arm. Jimin took it in both his hands that happened to look so small in comparison to it.
- That was not the way I envisioned holding your hand for the first time. - he confessed.
Yoongi shyly tucked his long wavy hair behind his ear. It was obvious he was a little blushed but not opposed to this sudden gesture.
- Have you thought about me? - he asked curiously.
- Easier to say when I haven't. - he answered sincerely and squeezed the omega's hand in his. - So tell me, would you let me help you now?
Yoongi nodded and sighed, feeling how every move was like a little stab. He really hoped whatever brew he took this morning would work but he guessed that was just another bump on the road of being an unexperienced parent.
Jimin got out of the driver seat and emptied the back of the car, setting seats in a comfortable position and throwing a blanket he had there over them. He walked around and opened the passenger door again. Instead of offering his hand he slowly approached and took the dainty looking omega in his arms, carrying him on the back.
- You can settle here comfortably, - he said shutting the door that was left open.
He climbed in and locked the doors, once again checking there was noone around. Yoongi slowly got out of his coat and laid on it, leaning back on his elbows.
- What if anyone sees us? - he asked nervously.
- Don't worry, - the alpha soothed putting his hand on the other's soft tummy, - If we don't turn the light on inside noone will see a thing.
- Could you scent me? - the young man asked, turning his hands that laid on his coat wrists up.
The alpha bent low and carefully nosed at both wrists one by one. The scent of the omega assaulted his senses and he rumbled in appreciation. It was like laying in the field of poppies on a morning after a rainy night.
As much as he wanted to take his time with the beautiful mama he knew why they were here in this position. Yoongi seemed more relaxed once he was respectfully scented and stilled as the alpha unbuttoned his shirt from top to bottom. He had an elastic kind of top on underneath that was almost soaked with the sweet smelling liquid.
- The clasps are on the side, - Yoongi said faintly, shutting his eyes from the painful sensations.
- Alright, got them.
- Jimin-ssi, - he called.
- Just Jimin, please, - the elder asked, - if you don't mind.
- You don't want me to call you hyung then? - the omega chuckled with his cheeks flushed.
- Not yet. - Jimin replied calmly, carefully unclasping the strap and the top on the side, moving the wet material off the swollen breasts.
He thought he was going to lose his mind if he sees Yoongi's milkers in all their naked glory for the first time but instead he was collected, concentrated on the task. That's exactly how fantasies differ from reality and it wasn't a bad thing at all.
He cupped both boobs with his hands, hastily putting his mouth over the pink nipple. He laved his tongue over it before gently sucking the milk in. It felt both sweet and salty, nothing like anything he tasted before. Yoongi moaned, quiet and meek, feeling how slowly the relief is washing over him and the tension is leaving his body.
Jimin sucked on the other nipple too and he was getting milk all over his chin with how powerful the flow was. He drank slowly, intermittently using one nub after another and gradually getting rid of the omega's pain. By the time he was finished he was massaging his breasts, gently kneading them until he felt no more hardened areas in the supple flesh.
- Better? - the alpha asked, watching Yoongi's relaxed face.
- Much better, - he exhaled, sitting up and getting rid of his wet clothes with a distasteful expression.
- I have something for you to wear, - the alpha grabbed a duffel bag where he kept a fresh change of clothes for the gym. - Will this suffice?
Yoongi took a huge purple hoodie and put it over his head. It hugged his body nicely and he smoothed the warm material over his chest.
- This is nice, thank you, - he replied and Jimin understood he was thanking him for tonight as well. - Oh.
Jimin noticed the omega was now looking down where he was all but straddling his ankles. He looked down too and noticed his joggers bulging between his legs. He pulled the hem of his sweatshirt down to cover it but he was stopped by two gentle hands.
- I see you enjoyed that too, - Yoongi hummed knowingly and the alpha nodded without an ounce of shame.
- You want to help me too, omega? - he asked sassily and to his surprise he got a shy nod in response.
Jimin hugged the fit frame of the omega and laid them both on the seats with Yoongi now being on top. He pulled his joggers down along with his underwear and squeezed the young omega's waist.
- Help yourself, - he said softly, not wanting to sound like he was coercing him into something in return for his initial help.
Yoongi palmed his erection, watching how nicely it fit in his long fingers. He stroked up and down, thumb going over the leaking slit and spreading precome all over the smooth tip.
He laid down between the alphas spread legs and kitten licked the cockhead, swirling his tongue around it. The fact that he still had his glasses on just made Jimin's length twitch and he moaned when the pink mouth wrapped around it. The omega suckled on it slowly, as if savoring the taste. He bobbed his head up and down, struggling to take the whole thickness of it right away. Yoongi helped himself with the hand around the base while the other fondled the heavy balls, breathing steadily, surrounded by the alpha pheromones that were washing over him. Their concentration went up the more he worked his mouth around the girth, driving Jimin close to coming. He was aroused since the last lesson and continuously egged on by the bursts of sweet scent the omega was emitting.
- Yoongi, - he called through a low growl, - I'm going to come.
He wanted to take his cock in his hand to finish himself off but it was batted away. The omega hummed around the length and bobbed hid head faster, soon getting the alpha to release in his wet mouth. He gulped down his load like he was thirsty and sat up, carefully cleaning the corners of his mouth with delicate fingers.
- Yoongi... - he whispered in awe and the omega chuckled at the others dumbfounded expression.
- I enjoyed that, - he said quietly, smoothing his long hair out of his face, - Now you can get me home.
- Y-yeah, just give me a moment.
The omega picked up his belongings and went on the passenger seat. Jimin rubbed his hands over his face and sorted out his clothes, quickly returning behind the wheel.
Under the omega's instructions he drove to his place through the evening traffic, watching Yoongi fixing his light make up and ruffling his hair, using the mirror in the sun visor. The alpha caught himself thinking that this was the view he wouldn't mind seeing more often.
- Thank you for the ride, - Yoongi said politely when they arrived ro their destination, - And for everything.
- It was my pleasure, - he answered, taking the omega's hand and landing a kiss on the back of it.
He thumbed at the soft skin and landed some more pecks over the pink knuckles, successfully making the other blush yet again.
- I'll see you soon, Jimin, - he said sweetly and exited the car, turning to him one more time with a little wave before disappearing behind the door to his block.
Jimin sighed, filled with mixed feelings. It was excitement, joy, content, nervousness.
Maybe if he does everything right, this cute little mama will invite him for tea next time? With some milk, of course.
The end.
