Feraine feels very conflicted about remarrying and having more children, as to her, it feels like a betrayal of Nolven and their family. They do know that their family wouldn't want them to be alone forever and would prefer her to be happy.

Feraine and Nolven first met in Year 254, when he was 25 and she was 252, close to his age in human years. They married and had their first child in Year 258.
They had their coronation and became King and Queen of Narnia in Year 260, when Nolven's adoptive father died and left the throne to them. They ruled happily and peacefully for the next 3 and a half decades, when in Year 295, they willingly abdicated in favor of their eldest surviving child, Thalia. But for the next six centuries, the couple, then Feraine, would continue to offer advice and support to their descendants, until their dynasty is ended by Jadis.
Nolven died of old age in Year 349, at 120, with his wife at his side.

Bowing her head and folding their hands in their lap as she knelt at her beloved Nolven's grave, the ancient former queen gave a heavy sigh. It never seemed to matter how many years passed. The pain of his loss, the loss of their children and descendants, never eased. And in times of trouble, like now, Feraine wished more and more that he was still at their side.
"Things are stirring again. I can feel it in every ripple of the river. I see it every night when I look to the sky. I feel it in my veins. The time to face Miraz is coming."

Prince Nolven, as he was called when Feraine meet him, was the youngest son of the royal family of Archenland. He and his two older brothers, Nol and Nolve, were triplets. Nol, as the eldest, would be next in line to inherit the throne of Archenland. And Nolve was content to be a high ranking member of the council. This left Nolven with only the option to live the life of an ambassador for his land.
It was this job that brought him to visit with his distant relatives on the Narnian throne. They were very pleased with him, and clearly saw the love he had for Feraine. And, since their only son had died long ago in war, and their daughter was deathly ill, it was decided that the Narnian monarchs would adopt Nolven. After the death of the princess, he was made heir, and when the king died, he and Feraine became the rulers of Narnia.

Feraine was devastated when Nolven died, and he took a piece of her with him to his grave. But she turned her attention to her children and their descendants. It did offer them comfort to see their family grow and continue, but each death did naturally weigh on them and cause an extreme amount of grief.
By the time the age of winter was over and it was discovered that all of her descendants were gone, Feraine reached her lowest point. She was absolutely crushed and felt like nothing would ever heal the hole in her heart. That was when they decided to live for Narnia alone, as though she was no longer the ruling queen, she was still a queen. And if their children and family were gone, then Narnia would be her family.
This mindset endured until the destruction of Narnia, where upon entering Aslan's Country, Feraine was reunited with Nolven, their children, and all of their descendants. She also had her parents, aunts and uncles, and grandfather as well. Their family was together again, and would never more be separated. That brought her more peace than she ever could have imagined.

In Narnia, several beings are what can be considered some degree of immortal:
Full Stars, of course, are truly immortal and would live forever with only periods of rest or retirement when they are too old. But once their power is regained after this rest, they will return to the sky and the cycle will repeat indefinitely.
Full Dryads can live as long as their tree stands. But if the tree dies or is cut down, the nymph who resides there will die as well. If the tree becomes weak, sick, or starts to fall, the nymph will become ill and weak as well. But they will mend if the tree is put right and becomes healthy again. They are considered the least immortal of these beings, but Dryads or Wood Gods can still live strong and healthy lives for hundreds, if not potentially thousands, of years.
Full Naiads are more immortal and harder to kill than their tree bound cousins. They can be frozen, as seen during the age of winter, or trapped by bridges, as seen during the Telmarine age. But in order to truly kill a Naiad, their body of water has to be destroyed beyond repair, or totally dry up. Burying their water source or rerouting it is not enough. Polluting the water will poison them and make them sick, but if the water is cleaned they can be restored to health. Even pollution takes time to kill them, as the water can be dangerous to humans and the Naiad or River God will still survive. It is only when the water has turned toxic with no chance of ever returning to its pure state that the nymph will die. However, this has never happened in Narnia before, though there have been some instances of rivers, lakes, streams, or ponds drying up. But even this happens with far less frequency than to the Dryads. Thusly, the Naiads are generally considered to be closest to star immortality that one can get.
However, when a human is thrown into the mix, things change. Human blood, regardless of degree, will significantly lessen the being's life span, and increase their vulnerability. But the Star/Dryad/Naiad blood will increase the human's normal lifespan and make them more impervious to the elements.
In short, a star-human, dryad-human, and naiad-human offspring will have a longer than normal human life, but a shorter than normal star/dryad/naiad life and they will die. A human child of a nymph will also not have a body of water or tree that their life is tied to. They may feel drawn to a certain type of water source, or have a specific type of tree that they raise and look after, but their life is not connected to it.
They will have to eat of, and may prefer, the food of their non-human parent. But it won't be to the degree of said parent, and they will be able to eat human food as well. They may also take on some appearance of their non-human parent, like flowers or leaves growing in their hair, skin tone, an earthy/watery/heavenly smell, a starshine, other physical traits etc. They will also be able to better resist the elements than a full human would. For example, the child of a dryad or wood god and a human will have stronger feet than a human and won't require shoes.
In Feraine's case, as the daughter of a full Star and a full Naiad without any human blood in her veins, they are just as immortal as their parents. She does need to have some periods of rest, like her father, in which case she takes to her river and sleeps. They also do need to eat the Fire-flower berries, but to a far less frequent degree than Kirvan and Aravir would when at rest.
Nolven, with distant dryad blood, and the children he has with Feraine, who have human, naiad, star, and distant dryad blood, are all significantly stronger than full humans, but far weaker than nymphs and stars. While Feraine lives until Narnia's destruction, Nolven dies around the age of 120. Their children all lived at least 250 years before they too died. It does get more complicated the further down among their descendants we go, as the intermixing of human and nymph blood varies and the amount of star blood diminishes. But by the end of the age of winter, Feraine has only her parents, grandfather, and both sides of aunts and uncles left; the members of her family without human blood. The stars and Naiads/River Gods. All of her descendants are gone, the last of them having been killed when Jadis returned and took control of Narnia while Feraine was frozen in her river.
