It has become a little warmer, hasn’t it? The cold days of winter have passed and now spring is making itself known little by little. The sun rises earlier and nature starts blossoming again.

So what is the point about all of this? Well, do you have any special plans with your f/o during this season? Or are you two just being all drowsy and taking the time to sleep in? After all, it is slowly getting warmer.

But imagine all the fun stuff you could do outside. It is not too cold nor too warm after all. Let the sun shine down on you and go for a stroll with your f/o. It can be a simple walk or at a park where you two admire nature.

Have a picnic date! How would it go? Who would drag the other outside? Or would bird watching sound more appealing for the both of you?

You can also try something new. Get up early and jog together! Some exercise to start the day all refreshed! Maybe it’s more fun if you do it together!

Spring time can be fun. Make sure to use it with your f/o before the summer heat hits! Then again, summer time might also be a fun time to look forward to.

But for now, focus on spending spring time with your f/o!

Nimue Itron: Divination Wizard and aeroarcheologist of the Aether Storm.

I've been going though a lot of mental health issues lately. Due to this, I've felt so uninspired to make art, and when I do I found myself so disappointed in my results.

Today I reworked an old illustration. The outfit reference of my beloved D&D character Nimue. A tiefling wizard in a sky pirate campaign. As this was a clothing reference, I never did a refined take on her face. So that is what this is. A refined cleaned up portrait of her.

I'm not entirely satisfied with how she turned out, but I'm glad to be making anything. I miss the joy of drawing and I am trying to find it again.

I’m interested in writing fanfiction and I was wondering how you manage to plot and foreshadow so well? I just read Lady of the Lake, and you planned things out so well in that fic, how do you do it?

I'm going to start with a link to the fic in question since it's super old school now :) LADY OF THE LAKE | AO3 | FFN

Hermione and Draco team up after the war to overthrow the Order and take over wizarding Britain. They have plans and they'll get power, but the cost of victory may be higher than they expected and more than they can bear.

So, when I sat down to write that, I knew that I wanted to shape her rise on Hitler's rise (not because I'm into Hitler, or anything creepy like that, but because JKR specifically said the Nazis were a template for the Death Eaters) and I wanted to ask how someone like that became a beloved figure people would follow. So that set up the biggest arc, and I knew I would be using the Weimar Republic as a historical template to work from.

Then I knew that I wanted her to 'gain the world but lose her soul' so the set up where she was going to win the election at the cost of her two best friends and her baby was something I knew going in. And I knew I wanted to use Arthurian legends to add some flavor to the magic. So both the Nimue thing and the Ron/Harry threads were idea I had when I started writing.

And from there I just sort of winged it on a chapter to chapter level, adding characters and complexity as they occurred to me. I didn't have an outline going in. BUT, at one point I needed one. I went back to my old folder and found the grid of plot points I was using as it got messy to keep track of where I was. I used to fill out as things occurred to me, so one plot point might be mapped 5 or 6 chapters in advance and another one only 2 or 2.

So... tl;dr, I started with some broad plot knowledge of where I was going and what the overarching ideas would be, made shit up as I went, and then realized it had gotten so complicated that I needed some tables of plot points to keep track of them.

Beloved dungeon/magical slime mold DUNGY, long though to have died in the year of the Invulnerable Catoblepas, has begun to grow again! Vance Jackson, a fermer in Thaumic province, discovered a large gateway opening up in his field and eating one of his ironcows. He immediately reported it to the local WIZARD NEWS outpost and we were on the scene instantly. After DUNGY retreated underground it turned out that instead of dying, it went dormant until now! Long considered one of the 129 wonders of the magical world, DUNGY's return is a fantastic sign for the future.

Nimue heard the commotion outside and rushed outside only to realise her beloved husband was gone.

Warnings: I don't think there really are any, but there is mention of being prejudiced/racist against half-orcs (as always lmk if i need to add a warning that I overlooked)

Other notes: Not edited or revised. This started as a solo d&d homebrew thing I started doing today because I needed something to do lol.

“You have served us a great many years, Risha.”

The half-orc bowed her head in acknowledgment, her expression grave; her thoughts unbetrayed. Before her, the High Priest and his attendants mirrored the gesture. He continued.

“Your debt, however, will not be repaid for another decade at least.”

Eyes, cold as steel and forged in contempt, held her own blank expression, awaiting any reaction. But Risha, with her roots buried deep in militant training, showed no hint of emotion. An orc's hot blood raged in her veins, but so, too, did the unwavering blood of a human soldier. It was the latter she had sought her entire life to emulate.

The High Priest was given no reason to see her in chains, no matter his unspoken desire; no matter his barely restrained prejudices.

His features grew tight with a forced and thin smile. It did nothing to warm his face.

“An opportunity has arisen that, if fulfilled to my satisfaction, will see your debt forgiven.”

For the first time since she had been summoned to the Temple, Risha's stoic countenance faltered. Red eyes widened, green lips parted, and she was just barely aware of how dumbfounded she must have looked before that vile man. This shift in her expression only seemed to make his more tense, as if he loathed the very idea of her freedom.

“We have a Priestess who has been with us since her birth, a young woman to whom our Beloved Goddess has chosen to break Her silence.”

This, more-so than the promise of freedom, made Risha's eyebrows lift, her eyes near bulging. Her entire body had grown tense and the Priest was once again scrutinizing her, as if awaiting some inner rage to possess her at this shocking news. Ignoring him, she glanced to the attendants at his side. One of them, a young man with a strong build – present for the Priest's protection – remained calm, his eyes as emotionless as Risha's had been; another former soldier, no doubt. But the other, an elder woman, bowed her head to hide a joyful grin.

Risha nearly mirrored that smile, even though she was not yet sure whether this was a miracle to celebrate, or an ill omen.

“As I am sure you can imagine,” the High Priest continued. “If – when, more likely – word escapes the Temple, there will be many after our blessed Priestess.”

“Some will seek her blessings, to go home with hope in their hearts,” the elder priestess remarked, her head lifting to study Risha with kind eyes and that lingering smile.

“But many more will see her as a curse and look to spill her blood.”

At his words, the woman bowed her head again, smile faltering.

“She has been chosen, our Goddess has a purpose for her, and we cannot keep her safe in these holy halls.”

By that point, Risha's initial surprise had begun to settle and she was able to close her gaped mouth and take control over her expression. She gave a nod in understanding and, for the first time, spoke.

“I would be honored to serve this blessed priestess in any way the temple requires.”

Again, the High Priest offered the thinnest of closed-lipped smiles.

“You are always so polite for a half-orc,” he stated.

Risha bit down on her tongue to keep herself contained, a task far more difficult after being given the news.

“We must do our best to keep this as quiet as possible and allow no suspicions to arise. If you agree to it, the Temple would ask that you guard and escort our Priestess to the Temple of Old Helmstead, where she will seek to divine the Goddess' purpose for choosing her.”

Old Helmstead was a long distance to send a woman bound by a debt, where she could too easily abandon her charge and escape, claiming her own freedom…

But Risha was nothing if not honorable. Besides, she knew well enough the dangers that lay in that territory. She would either succeed her task and earn her freedom, or she would fail and pay with her life during the journey. Either way, the High Priest would be rid of her. Why he would trust her, of all people, for such an important task was another question entirely, but not one she cared to consider too greatly. Never had Risha failed the temple during her time bound to it; there was no reason to believe her incapable now.

“Okay,” she stated. “Show me my charge and in exchange for my debts forgiven, I will see that she arrives in Old Helmstead safely.”

2: child of the moon, idk if you already watched that one or not but i LOVE that episode. slay red!! the miller’s daughter literally slay rose mcgowan. the outsider (belle!!!!). and lacey (again. belle!!!). manhattan (iconic episode. big. huge.). also i personally love the finale although there a pieces of it i don’t vibe with (FLOP villains)

3: the heart of the truest believer (i love you henry….). quite a common fairy slay tinker bell slay soulmates slay regina. good form (i love you killian). going home, episodes that are quite literally burned into my memory forever they affected me so greatly i love you midseason finales i love you memory of frantically rushing home from that goddamn youth group meeting to put this on 20 minutes late i love you season three. witch hunt literally a slay. a curious thing i love you regina. (another jane espenson CLASSIC. this it THE episode!). the broken kingdom (slay ouat king arthur i love your well meaning corruption arc swag i love your cuck realness i love how you studied the blade <3 hugeee surprise tumblr user arthurgirl is an apologist for ouat evil king arthur who could ever have seen this coming). NIMUE!! (episodes of all time, also what i always bring up in arguments about the greek mythology stuff coming out of nowhere. she literally reforges excalibur with the flame of prometheus). the bear king (my beloved little filler episode that’s also not filler it’s deathly important). swan song (don’t even talk to me about this one). labor of love (i love you hercules). 7: garden of forking paths (what if an episode was kind of bad but your friend cinderella was in it). beauty (slayyy alice!!). wake up call (“sorry i missed your little… avengers assembly” said with sooo much contempt). the eighth witch (it’s like if an episode was a midseason finale but it wasn’t very good but it also slayed). the girl in the tower (i love gay people). breadcrumbs!!! (my episode!!! he doesn’t need a great story he just wants a great life!!!). the guardian (i love gay people!) is this henry mills? You know, yesterday is the 30th anniversary of Backstreet Boys. While today's the 25th anniversary of another Mariah Carey banger. The romantic/sad ballad My All released on the radio. While NBC was causing a stink for cancelled Debris, the spiritual successor for The X-Files and the spiritual successor for Lost show Manifest (at least, Netflix rescue the show and ready for 2nd part of super-sized final season this summer) and released the goddamn tacky Jurassic World meets The Twilight Saga meets Land of the Lost meets Mase in Abyss mashup ripoff telenovela without the lovable characters, they have a balls when the network released the 2-part movie Merlin debuts on April 26th, 1998. After the mayhem hilarity cartoon-y of The Simpsons and King of the Hill on FOX, people in America have turned in to the now beloved NBC/Hallmark miniseries and felt amazed deeply within their bodies. Magic, villains, Frik the goblin, badass moments and pure (Thank God. No toxic romance Bella and Edward, Gavin and Eve and Massimo and Laura style detected) romance blooms between Merlin and Nimue. Pretty crazy 25th anniversary week of pure "no toxic crap" love power.
