What do you think about Mat and Kolya?

I feel like Matvey and Kolya would be close and it would make Kita feel threatened (bc hes so used to having his twin be close to him)

I feel like it'd also be sad considering how Kolya changes over time under Makarov's care, becoming essentially a murder machine :(

When Matvey was younger, he was an emotional one in the family, never hid much of anything and wasn't good under too much pressure. He would've grown up alongside the twins, only having a month or three difference in age(Matvey being the youngest in the trio.)

Matvey never was trained with the twins, quite the opposite really, he was the sheltered child, more of a bystander and was made to live a "peaceful" civilian life away from the cause. He'd be there if his presence was mandatory but most of the time was kept at an arm's length in regards to the family business beyond words spoken to him, certain details lasting on him given his observant nature.

Kolya and Matvey at least on Matvey's end saw the other as an older brother, the person he should be and look up to, something he would also see in Kita but to a much lesser extent since sometimes Kita's antics grated on his nerves. Matvey would try to include Kita in whatever him and Kolya did even if most of the time the twin would refuse, Matvey not understanding how he seemed to threaten the tight-knit bond between Kolya and Kita.

After Matvey's self-proclaimed "failure" in his formative years, a "failure" that most now would call a blessing in disguise he would go to his cousins most of the time just to see if they'd implore him and teach him what they learned that day or ask them how things were going, all the while swinging his feet back and forth.

I do think Matvey and Kolya would stay close in their teens, even when Kolya started to become more and more entangled with Konni/the Ultranationalist Party, he would always be family, no matter what happens.

Matvey would still notice how his cousins have changed. How he doesn't recognize them anymore, something he's starting to find too common in his family. He would stop asking about what they've been doing or what his father was having them do, he was understanding the reality now. He just didn't want to acknowledge it and wonder how much blood they had on their hands.

Right before he runs away he'd seclude himself from them, slowly, a move that's pretty obvious, in hopes to prepare himself emotionally before he takes off. Similar to a cat hiding away before it passes. He doesn't tell either of them how he truly feels or how fucked up things have gotten not because he doesn't want to, but because he can't trust them anymore. And it makes him grieve. He does end up stealing a few of their keepsakes before he leaves, to look at whenever he's feeling particularly lonely.

Matvey doesn't think he can separate his cousins as enemies, or hurt either of them. As he still believes there is a chance at redemption. Despite being on opposite sides, he still cares for them deeply, something he would be called naive for. Any confrontation presently would likely be as angsty and soul-crushing like you'd expect it to be.

SOOO... I decided to draw the three as to what I think they would've looked like as young'uns(they should be 10-11 years old here.) Kita gets an emo haircut along with a sonic hoodie and Kolya gets a much more relaxed fit. They are so adorable honestly. (Context for the photo is that Matvey won his first junior gymnastics competition and the twins came to see him compete(Nikita will get in trouble if he doesn't hug for the photo.)

Personality

Mariana is a childish goofball but can be serious when need be. She’s a highly intelligent and fiercely loyal woman who seeks a sense of belonging. She’s always eager to make new friends and her goofball-like personality helps her put a smile on almost anyone's face.

Underneath that childish facade is a woman filled with insecurities and anxiety that she desperately tries to hide from her fellow Perseus members. She tries to simply make them smile and focuses on her work. (These insecurities and anxiety would bubble up to the surface and have a solid hold on her after learning about MK Ultra, the betrayal of her CIA “allies” and her own betrayal)

Backstory

Mariana is the firstborn and only child of her parents, Alma and Andres. Her parents found themselves in a difficult situation following the second Red Scare, her father was accused of being a communist spy and had most of their rights revoked as a result. Their community shunning them. Andres was later arrested and jailed, where he later died.

Mariana herself was just a baby when all this occurred but she felt the bite of its effects growing up. The shunning of her community, and the badmouthing of her father whom she never met. Her relationship with her own mother was strained. Mariana grew up feeling betrayed by the United States/Capitalists, taking what was basically everything to her before she was even able to form a sentence. It’s what led to her turning to the idea of communism which advertised “equality”, feeling that its lifestyle could provide a better life for not only her but others as well. Using her skills and intelligence, she was able to master the art of cryptology and use that skill to send out an encoded message to any other communist spies in the area. Mariana ends up in contact with one, Nikita who’s a member of Perseus, he has her do some things to see her value and skills and makes mention of her to Perseus himself. She would work up in the ranks before meeting with the leader and later joining his faction.

Mariana is known for her signature black lipstick she always wears

Mariana has a tattoo of the Perseus symbol above her right breast/near her collarbone and a snake tattoo on her right arm

Mariana got her facial scars during a mission, a scar on her shoulder from getting shot by Adler, and one on her right arm during a mission as well

While knowing a good bit of Russian, Stitch still gave her some tips

During her time as “Bell”, there was some underlying romantic tension between her and Adler though the two never acted on them. Despite having her memories erased, Mariana was vaguely aware of a man that she was close to and that kept her from acting on any feelings she could’ve had for Adler, ofc that man was Stitch

Mariana also swore that if she wasn’t already aware of her sexuality, Park would’ve been her Bi-Awakening

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

Kolya used to enjoy art. He liked sketching birds. Liked drawing trees and the looming, gloomy architecture of their neighborhood. His mother used to encourage him to draw- but when she passed he lost most inspiration. His favorite color to color with, Ironically, was red. He'd end up seeing and painting with it more in his future.

CW: violence, abuse, animal abuse, murder

Kolya hated the "conditioning" his uncle and father would put him through to toughen him up. His trauma made it easier to depersonalize and sort of do things by instinct. He went from sketching birds to shooting birds. Then dogs, which he had to get through until he couldn't cry about it anymore- and then people tied up-

and then people running.

They weren't satisfied with the young man's target practice. They had to see if he was just as good with something moving and breathing. But crybaby Kolya's results were skewed by his emotions- which were eagerly repurposed into "proper aggression." as the men in his life groomed him and his brother to become untouchable.

🎯 -What do they do best?

Kolya is good at doing what he's told. The problem is- You have to be very specific and sometimes yell to get your point across for urgency. But he never questions why or how- he will give his 100% even if you give him something he can't do.

Oh, and he's pretty good at bird calls.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

One of Kolya's most difficult memories was the day he and his brother finally joined the military, serving under a then Lieutenant Colonel Volkov, a trusted ally of the family. While Nikita found himself at home as a soldier, Nikolay was subject to hazing and bullying. While his brother was more likeable, Kolya had to work to earn the trust of his fellow soldiers who found him to be "creepy" and "fucking weird". One time he blacked out during a one to one training session with a particularly annoying opponent, and came back to his brother trying to snap him out of it, his partner's face fucked up and blood on the shy boy's fists.

He cried when he was alone that day- realizing that this was going to be his life. And that if he wanted any chance of doing this right, he couldn't lose control.

However, it became clear as the boys reached Junior Lieutenant by MW3, that Makarov wanted to weaponize his nephew's episodes.

I decided to list them by (+) meaning I will post fanart of characters or more likely to and (++) for posting art of an oc or two ! Rest I might just talk about offhandedly if I'm playing them currently.

Fallout (I haven't posted art for the games in a very long time but that may change depending on when I get into a Fallout vibe again. Just don't ask me about Fallout 4. I will usually ONLY post about New Vegas but Fallout 3 every once and a while but usually to complain about game economy LOL.) (++)

I am into a variety of games but usually will only post art of these if not at all.

Also short disclaimer but not really ? I just think it's sorta important to know. I have OCD and like not ina joke sorta way, like diagnosed. And unfortunately, with Perfectionism OCD it makes it harder to post art. So I take breaks between fully rendered and colored pieces that usually last two-three days so I don't get burnout. But if I don't answer your ask very quickly sorry >.< I'm probably working on drawing it but it may take a bit longer to complete ! Same goes for any art trades I may do in the future.

Rules for Asks: If you're asking me anything specifically, please nothing uncomfortable or suggestive at all/ or related to my personal life. I think that's self-explanatory but just in case ! Though I'd be very happy to talk about the process I do when I make/made my OC's.
