I like to think Diamond City has a little inside joke when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Sure they’ll do the usual stuff with sweets and cards to loved ones, but the day also reminds them of someone in particular. So, they’ll joke that Nick is everyone’s Valentine, some ironically and some with genuine affection. People who he’s helped leave him little gifts, none as extravagant as ones for their partners, but gifts all the same. Flowers and cards being the favorite, as sweets wouldn’t exactly be eaten, and he doesn’t really seem like a stuffed animal kinda guy. Still, the little gestures are touching, and while the jokes may get old by the end of the day, or he says people really shouldn’t go to all the trouble for an old synth like him, he still has a little box filled with faded pink folds of paper, and more than a few dried and pressed flowers
