Seon-ho and Namjeon relationship (1)
As I said, my country is complicated, from the story and screenplay to political issues, characters, their feelings and their relationships with each other. For me, Seon-ho and Namjeon's relationship was undoubtedly one of the most complicated relationships that I saw ,not only in this series but in all other series. Maybe there aren't many emotions in their relationship, but it was definitely an interesting and also nerve-wracking relationship.
About Seon-ho: Well, I think he had fear accompanied by wanting to have some attention from Namjeon to him as his son at his childhood(and it never happened). After his brother and mother's death he hates his father .later at his adulthood he wants to prove himself to him to be released from the shadow of his dead brother who is always with him. For this reason, he doesn't show any weakness and on the other hand, he wants to fulfill his mother's request. he changes after he finds out about the bribery of the military exam examiner, especially when those horrible things happen to Hwi and Yeon. he stood in front of his father for the first time and confronted him in a way that scared Namjeon. (I love Dohwan's acting in that scene, his eyes suddenly change from helplessness, sadness and anger to scary and menacing coolness.) So now they have a deal and he can't say anything about the bribery because of Yeon’s life. Namjeon is somehow controlling him by using Hwi and Yeon to the point where he thinks Hwi is killed by Namjeon. Seon-ho is so desperate that he runs away with Yeon to save her and he thinks his father hasn't any chance for live.(and I think he was sad for him, remember how he looks to where Namjeon was tortured)With Yeon's death, he stands in front of Namjeon another time and there is no more fear, but hatred instead (he doesn't show his anger like Hwi and he is calmer ) Well, politically, he isn't as powerful as Bang Won, so he needs his father, on the other hand, he is Seon-ho's only family. maybe his death by Bang-won is a humiliation for him too(but there is some kind of attachment to Namjeon in the side of his heart like all his unbreakable attachments to those around him) . And Namjeon's last words to him is definitely not the right thing from a logical point of view, but perhaps emotionally it proves his fatherly love to Seon-ho . But saying that only make Seon-ho's useless attachment to him shatter him even more. The scene of Namjeon's death and also when he goes to see his body in the crowd of people, I'll never forget the emotional expressions on his face (I didn't expect it at all) did he look sad? Maybe it's because of the importance of family in their culture, or maybe he was really attached to his father. When he is talking to Hwi about Namjeon wasn't the cause of his father's death and Hwi told him that Namjeon never lied, Seon-ho said that he wished he lied, I think he's saying that to give a reason to The hatred that he has towards his father. he thought that his father was the cause of the death of his best friend's father, and he even blames himself for this.( My poor baby, why he thought like this???it wasn't his fault ) So I think Seon-ho's big heart still felt for him despite all the adversity he saw from his father.

ROUND ONE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Nam Seon-Ho: (tw drug use and suicide mention) Episode one young seonho is quite happy, next 15 episodes and over ten years everything goes wrong and gets worse in every episode , he feels like he needs to betray his best friend/love and loses him to war, loses his sister, only friend, his father, status, everything. he is tortured, makes bad desicions. starts to drink and use drugs, tries suicide. And in the end he reconnects with his childhood love/friend only to die immediatly in the hands of the country's king. He truly is the saddest boy because of the circumstances of his life but is still very loveable character.
Sammy Lawrence: He's dedicated his life to worshiping the Ink Demon only for the Ink Demon to abandon and kill him. He then ressurrects only to be killed again by Henry. Once more he ressurrects only to be shot by Allison and dumped over a railing. Poor guy :(

Reactions to Trash Boss’s Chapter 125
In today’s chapter, Cale began his walk up the mountain. The chapter ended with Cale still walking up the mountain. I’m not joking, hahahaha… It’s like a recap of the chapters when Cale met the Murim Alliance Leader. One chapter was dedicated to Cale walking towards the Murim Alliance Leader’s room, and the next chapter was all about Cale just sitting down. Hahaha….
No mention of LSH or CJS again. Sad. There was a CH mention because CH was admiring the mysteriousness of the Kunlun Mountains. Raon worrying about Cale’s stamina in climbing the mountain was cute though.
Now that the two groups of the Murim Alliance had regrouped together, our general commander was grinning when she saw everyone in the 2nd group being scared of Cale, hahaha… Dominating Aura is too OP, why no nerf, Jungwon?
We got 2 new characters. In Ho, the leader of the Kunlun School. MTL was being weird here because it translated ‘hermit’ as ‘fresh’… And Cale gulping in admiration at the typical hermit appearance was not helping when MTL is involved. It made Cale look like he had a crush or something, lol… And MTL using ‘Jang Mun In’ made me wonder if this was a new character until I realized I had that term on my Murim Terms glossary. Jang-mun-in simply means “school/sect leader.”
Un Seon was present too, if you ever remember her. She was one of the people in Elder Ho’s group before and the one who wanted to invite Cale to the Kunlun School before Cale himself said he was going there.
Evil Faction people were not staying in the Kunlun School because they were at odds with each other. At least, they did not fight. They were very obedient to our trash boss, hahaha… But poor Kunlun School. The Good Faction literally used them as a shield against the Demon Cult. They knew that if the Kunlun School collapsed, a powerful school opposing the Demon Cult would disappear and someone would have to take their place, so the Good Faction people did their best to support the Kunlun School to maintain their role as a shield.
Our Wi-kipedia arrived with two members of the Embroidered Uniform Guard (EUG). Gosh, typing the full name of EUG is tiring. Anyway, misunderstandings happen because Cale received two elixirs from the emperor. Everyone else be like, ‘the EUG is bowing to him!’ (the EUG only bow down to the emperor), ‘what is Young Master Kim’s relation to the emperor,’ and so on. Meanwhile, our trash boss was mentally praising the emperor for promising to send more elixirs, hahahaha… Cale, won’t your other hyung back in Roan be jealous?
Kunlun School had a misunderstanding about Cale being in the Nature Realm. And they were in awe because the highest martial arts rank they knew was the Profound Realm. Only Heavenly Demon, the Demon Cult Leader, and an elder of the Kunlun School were at that rank.
The other new character was ‘Eldest Brother.’ Yeah, he did not have a name. He was only called by his position in the Kunlun School. I think they have a tradition of calling school disciples as ‘brother’ or ‘sister.’ Unfortunately, our poor Durst went “Ueeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!,” so Cale’s group instantly realized this guy was a Living Jiangshi too. Eldest Brother was the next leader of the Kunlun School. What exactly is Blood Cult planning that the next leaders of the young generation are Living Jiangshi?
We might see another scene of Cale coughing blood again. But with the two new elixirs (and the more to follow), perhaps not? We’ll see in the next chapters.
What will happen in the next chapter? Will Cale’s walk up the mountain end? Or will it be a replay of the Murim Alliance Leader’s chapters? But seriously, author seems to be a fan of murim because the murim arc is seriously detailed and long. Compare that to the Xiaolen arc where we only get a few characters with names. According to my Murim Terms goggle sheets, we already have 40+ new characters in the murim arc alone.
The comments on Ridi are excited about the upcoming Cale blood faucet. Aren’t we all? Hahaha…. Sorry, Cale. Your fandom likes to see you suffer. And witness your attempts to gain slacker life fail…
Overall, this chapter was so-so. Not exactly disappointing, but not exciting either. It’s just Cale walking up the mountain and some stuff happening. We’re still a long way from meeting the Blood Cult. And does anyone remember Karin Orsena? She’s supposed to be in this world, right?

First impressions: 'Knight Flower'
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: By day, Jo Yeo Hwa lives the quiet life of a widow from a noble family, mourning her husband and learning how to be a "virtuous woman" from her mother-in-law. By night, she is a masked vigilante, taking care of the poor and oppressed in Hanyang. This is how she crosses paths with Park Soo Ho, the new captain at the Capital Garrison, a by-the-book military officer who has a mysterious past.
THOUGHTS: I was going to write this based on the first two episodes of the series, but things got delayed and, well, I didn't have the willpower to resist watching Episodes 3 and 4. Because it's so much fun! And that's largely because of its star, Honey Lee. This is my first time watching her and she imbues her long-suffering widow with an irrepressible impishness. Whether it's hiding tiny tea cookies in her pocket sleeves after her mother-in-law insisted she limit her meals, stealing a prized painting from a pompous court official or masquerading as a nobleman (while in search of evidence of child trafficking) at the courtesan house, Yeo Hwa still manages to steal moments of joy in her life.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Aiding her in the fight for justice are her faithful and really smart lady's maid, Yeon Seon, and the head of a merchant house, So Woon. I love all three ladies and their respect and support for each other. It's such a sharp contrast to the one-upmanship played by the ministers' wives, who push their widowed daughters-in-law to embody a "virtuous woman" to the point of goading them into suicide.
The male lead (Lee Jong Won) is a delight as well. Normally stone-faced and serious, Park Soo Ho becomes animated whenever he's in the company of our heroine (likely because he gets roped into her hijinks). I love their first meeting — it's action-packed with a hint of romance and happens while both of them are working to correct injustices.
I'm intrigued by the palace mystery that has roots in what happened 15 years ago. The king and his confidant, the royal secretary, are looking into what happened the night the previous king and his chief royal guard died. For now, it's a lot of covert note-passing in a bookstore. But that "15 years ago" time frame comes up a lot. Yeo Hwa's husband was killed 15 years ago on the day of their wedding. Her beloved orabeoni, a member of the royal guard, disappeared 15 years ago. Soo Ho's family, including his father, the chief royal guard, I believe, were killed 15 years ago. He almost died, too.
BTW, did I mention the royal secretary is our male lead's beloved adoptive hyung? He's gruff and keeps telling Soo Ho to lie low but you can tell it's because he's just really worried about his brother. Also, he seems absolutely smitten by Yeo Hwa's maid and I totally ship them already.
Anyway, I'm hooked and totally can't wait for the next episodes!

My country: The new age (Episode 13)
Poor Seon Ho. He was ready to just vanish and let all the power games behind. But when he was arrested as a traitor, Bang Won had to make a difficult decidion. He definitelly respect Seon Ho, they are simillar to some extent but Seon Ho is potencial thread. However, Hwi would never forgive Bang Won, if he killed his best friend. Bang Won is avare of that and decides to spare Seon Ho's life. Unfortunatelly, he use Seon Ho's birth status of an illegitimate child to justify releasing him and Seon Ho takes this very personally. With good intentions, Bang Won makes a serious enemy out of Seon Ho. This scene is one of many that leads to inevitable ending of the series. The dinamics between the main trio is very well written and would like to explore it more in future posts ;)

Bangwon/Seon-Ho and separately Hwi/Seon-Ho for meme
Bangwon/Seonho:
Tumblr media
Notable omissions:
-I actually think Bangseon are good for each other in their own way. Yeah they would kill each other given half a chance but they make each other introspect bc of all the parallels and if they were actually together I think they could talk about some shit they can't really discuss with other ppl. Bangwon did absolutely ruin Seonho's life but he also spared it when it made very little sense and gave him a reason (revenge) to keep living when he was on the verge of suicide. Basically chicken soup for the soul am I right.
-They won't die together in a pool of blood bc both of them would prefer to die with Hwi lols.
-I don't Want them to kill each other okay.
Hwi/Seonho:
Tumblr media
My most divorced ship.
I feel all this kind of goes without explaining but yeah I do think they're kind of bad for each other in a survival and also an emotional wellbeing kind of way even if they're like sun and moon and soulmates and all that. They're kind of two halves of a whole but they do seem to get along okay without each other even if they really miss/pine for each other whereas when they ARE around each other, things tend to get. worse. even if they are confusedly, painfully happy to see each other and care about each other's happiness and survival as well. Like they could/want to be good for each other, but they aren't.
Poor guys! This is why they need a happy ending.

Top 10 kdrama recs? You seem to rb quite a few different ones, so im curious about your faves :]
- 🌱
hey! I recently got into kdramas (again) and I have SO many faves now, its hard to choose only 10! but let me try
suspicious partner. my first kdrama (I think) and one of my absolute faves. great chemistry, mystery and overall a nice pace.
100 days my prince. a historical drama, with lots of comedic moments. Nam Ji Hyun has to deal with an amnesiac male lead.
Shopping King Louie. wholesome drama with two characters who are THE purest beans. Nam Ji Hyun has to deal with an amnesiac male lead (again).
fight for my way. friends to lovers. the end. (also, both are poor which is a pleasant surprise).
hometown cha-cha-cha. one of the episodes will tear your heart into pieces but you wont mind cause this is such a feel good drama, you will fall in love with every single character. also, Kim Seon Ho is a theater actor and you'll def notice that. my man desrved an oscar, an emmy AND a grammy (no, he doesnt sing but he deserved it).
doom at your service. more mature drama, lots of heartache, amazing performances and a motherfucking kiss you'll never forget.
business proposal. you'll fall in love with both couples, like you don't even have a choice. funny af.
strong woman do bong soon and weightlifting fairy kim bok joo. yes, im cheating cause these are 2 seperate dramas but let's ignore that. male leads are head over heels for female leads. female leads are cute as a button.
destined with you. CHEMISTRY WAS CHEMISTRYING. plot holes here and there and you wont even care.
the king's affection. aka when bisexually was invented. just trust me and watch this. softest male lead EVER.
king the land. lots of people didnt like but idk, I loved it. zero toxicity, no dumb ass decisions by the leads, cute second leads. I laughed a lot and generally had lots of fun. first kiss? you won't forget this either.
honorable mentions cause these are on-going:
perfect marriage revenge. budget of a one dollar and a dream, and you'll love every second of it.
a good day to be a dog. idk, just thinking about this drama makes me feel like the world is not such a horrible place after all. female lead? my future wife
the matchmakers. a very different historical drama. [retty cinematography, interesting characters and Rowoon in a very different role than usual.
another honorable mention (the drama ended last year but I'm watching it now) is cafe minamdang. lots of different opinions on this drama too, but so far I've laughed my ass off and Seo In Guk looks *chefs kiss*
let me know (if you want) if you end up watching any of these and your opinion. thank you for the ask <3

The Childe (2023) dir. Park Hoon Jung. 귀공자 (2023) dir. 박훈정. 7.6/10
I would recommend this movie to my friends. I would rewatch this movie.
What a loser @ the guy whose head is bashed by the garage door in the beginning.
Kim Seon Ho really be way too handsome in this movie. Can he look any better? is this just a movie for him to be hot? Parkour?? Skill??
These poor passing truckers almost getting into accidents.
This surgery is some last of us vibes.
Kim Kang Woo really be reminding me of Kwon Sang Woo.

This is what I wrote about Oh! My Assistant episode 6 on December 16. I'm leaving it unedited because too much has happened since then.
Two bi awakenings in one show! Are any of us really surprised though? Except maybe m and j.
I’ve got second lead syndrome—I’m shipping Joon Seok with Mu Yeong instead. Or, maybe not shipping exactly, but I do find him much more interesting. He’s been pining for years without even realizing it. Is he demisexual maybe? He’s engaged to a woman that he seemingly has no interest in as a person. He drops everything for Mu Yeong at the slightest excuse and is his most fierce protector. And yet… I’m sure he was telling himself he’s just trying to protect Mu Yeong from his own feelings, but my guess is that subconsciously he was freaking out that this time he was going to lose Mu Yeong for real, and had to make a desperate attempt.
Anyways, Seon Ho is a cute and funny little puppy dog, and I’m glad for him that he’s figuring himself out. And I have no particular objection to him ending up with Mu Yeong, it just doesn’t particularly interest me. I love Mu Yeong, so I hope all his dreams come true, even if his dream is the boring guy.* But Mu Yeong and Joon Seok redefining their relationship after years of assuming it was one way and now discovering their feelings are different? That intrigues.
Oh my god, Joon Seok’s brief little smile when Mu Yeong said he’s letting Seon Ho continue to think they're boyfriends. Oh you poor sweetheart, you’re really in deep, aren’t you. I’m sorry that you’re getting your heart broken just as you’re figuring out what it actually wants.
*not that I find Seon Ho boring exactly, not as a person. Just, his type of cheerful relatively straightforward pining is less interesting to me than the messiness of Joon Seok's. As @biochemjess said about the Choco Milk Shake finale, I prefer the cat romance with claws, rather than the fluffy puppy romance.

100 Days My Prince
Tumblr media
While waiting for a new show to come to Netflix, I decided to watch something that had been sitting in my queue for a long time. 100 Days My Prince is a historical romantic drama about a prince that loses his memory and ends up in a marriage to a commoner.
I love a good historical drama and 100 Days My Prince fit the bill. There are a lot of side plots but they all came together well and it was easy to follow.
When I-Seo was a little girl she made friends with a little boy named Lee Yul and Yul promised to marry her. That changes when Yul's father becomes King and I-Seo's father dies in the process. Yul grows up to believe I-Seo died in the process.
The now Crowned Prince is married and expected to consummate his marriage to prevent drought but instead declares all unmarried men and women to get married. While on his way to an event, an assassination attempt is made and Yul is presumed dead.
He isn't dead, he is in a poor village without his memories and ends up marrying Hong Shim because of his decree. Hong Shim is I-Seo in hiding and doesn't recognize her now husband as the Crowned Prince and the little boy she met long ago.
Nam Ji Hyun is great as Hong Shim/I-Seo and has really great chemistry with Kyung-Soo Do. D.O. is probably more well-known as being a member of EXO but quickly proved he is a great actor as well.
But my favorite part was seeing my favorite actor Kim Seon-Ho as the investigator who ends up befriending and helping I-Seo and Yul. He always adds a lot of charm and emotion. Although I do feel bad for his character at the end.
While 100 Days My Price is older, it premiered in 2018, it's definitely worth a watch. 100 Days My Prince is streaming on @netflix.

I just wanna say I’m so proud of all these men. They had fun and made connections, though not all of them romantic one they wanted. But their courage is really what made this show for me.
But I knew my poor baby Chan-Gyu wouldn’t end up with anyone. Everyone put him in the little brother box. But he didn’t give up, as quiet as he was.
Eun-Chan also made his feelings known and wasn’t afraid to hide the hurt.
Hyeon was the life of the party but still showed vulnerability. And because of his openness I feel everyone felt more comfortable.
Jeong-Hyeon was another that wasn’t scared to show emotions other than a smile. He was hurt but he still had his eyes on the prize and tried again.
Hyeok-Jun was on everyone’s list. Everyone wanted to spend time with him and he was so cute and bashful. He left a mark on pretty much everyone and he could hardly talk without smiling brightly
Seon-Yul and Hyeok-Jun friendship was really cute. It was kind of easy to read Seon at times even when he thought he wasn’t showing them. He was a bit calculating at first and I thought he didn’t have a particular person in mind but when he realized his feelings it was inspiring to see.
Jeong-Ho came in last but also fast. He had to start when everyone else was already starting to slowly make connections. But when he found the guy he wanted you could see how he pushed through awkwardness and nervousness to really leave an impression
Chang-Min was another popular guy and I couldn’t really get a read on him. But after a few interactions and self reflecting he started to open up and also revealed a pretty soft puppy.
The ending message from each of them and what they got from being on the show was touching and I really hope that this show gets to more people

Whatever it takes, we are soo honoured and proud of you, Our DEAR LEE JONG SUK 👏🤞Thy well be done...🙏
[Naver] Anyway, the target is Lee Jong Suk? MBC Acting Awards 2nd Grand Prize
This year's MBC drama did not have a 'big hit' like last year's 'Red Sleeves', but the average viewer ratings and topicality increased. Among them, actor Lee Jong Suk is predicted to be a strong candidate for the grand prize.
The 2022 MBC Drama Awards will be broadcast live at 8:30 pm on the 30th.
Looking back at the MBC drama lineup in 2022, 'Tracer', 'Tomorrow', 'Showtime From Now', 'Doctor Lawyer', 'Big Mouth', 'Gold Spoon', 'One Hundred Butlers', 'Golden Spirit, Joseon Marriage' Ban', 'Secret House', 'Witch's Game', and 'Boar Hunt' met with viewers.
Recently, MBC has revealed the potential candidates for the award through a teaser video that begins with the phrase 'We invite you to the acting awards'. So Ji-seop, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Hee-seon, Park Hae-jin, Yook Sung-jae, Im Si-wan, Lee Hye-ri, and Choi Soo-young are the main characters.
In "Doctor Lawyer ", So Ji-seob played the role of Han Yi-han, a doctor who was falsely accused of causing the death of a patient, and Kim Hee-sun, who charismatically portrayed the role of a beautiful reaper with a story in "Tomorrow," stands out.
In 'Golden Spoon', Yook Sung-jae portrays Lee Seung-cheon, who is conflicted between his desire to have money and his poor but warm family, without a sense of difference. Expectations are gathering for grand prize winners such as Im Si-wan, who played Hwang Dong-joo and led the viewership rating to 9%.
The actor most likely to win the grand prize is Lee Jong Suk, who appeared in 'Big Mouth'.
'Big Mouth' was the only MBC drama this year to record double digit ratings. 'Big Mouth', which started with a national audience rating of 6.2%, ended with a rating of 13.7% and reaped the beauty of the end. It was also a hot topic, taking first place in TV topic in the Friday and Saturday drama category.
The main character, Lee Jong Suk, played the role of Park Chang-ho, a livelihood lawyer with a 10% win rate. He is a person who became involved in a murder case by accident and became the genius con artist 'Big Mouse' overnight. In order to survive and to protect his family, Park Chang-ho, who struggles to uncover the true face of the privileged class stained with a huge conspiracy, is delicately portrayed.
Lee Jong Suk led the turbulent play by showing various aspects of Park Chang-ho in a short period of time, from the incompetent and stressful life of a lawyer suffering from debt, to the way he was falsely accused and desperately screaming, and to the way he woke up to protect Miho.
If he receives the grand prize at the acting awards this time, he will be honored with the second grand prize. He won the grand prize at the MBC Drama Awards at the age of 28 in 2016 through the drama 'W'.
At the time, he played a unique setting called a character in a webtoon, and contributed to the success of the drama by expressing various characters such as Olympic shooting gold medalists, super conglomerates who own broadcasting stations, and national stars without a sense of separation.
In this 'Big Mouth', which he chose as his first work after being discharged from the call, he showed his potential with a flawless appearance. As expected by many, attention is focusing on whether Lee Jong Suk will receive the grand prize or the honor of being the second grand prize.
