he was too old to celebrate his divorce. he'd repeated those words several times throughout the evening. and still, his friends had dragged him out to some risqué establishment, with several pretty girls, dressed in provocative outfits and available to boost their egos. he'd already been there against his will, clearly unhappy with the environment he'd found himself. his mood only took a turn for the worse when he recognized genesis stepping on stage. it had never crossed rafael's mind that it might be someone who simply looked like her. no. one look at her legs and he'd recognize them anywhere - specially wrapped around him.

he had to endure, but was at least partially relieved none of his friends knew her father. he'd sat there, watched and hated how everyone else present got to watch too, as she danced and swayed a little too sensually. once the routine was wrapped up he made an excuse and, soon after, paid someone away so he might wait for her in her dressing room. there'd been no pretty words, no questions or justifications. he'd simply shoved her up against her vanity, dress already bunched around her waist and in one swift motion he found himself back inside her. didn't seem to matter what she wanted or what she had to say for herself. "liar!" he growled, slamming into from behind, with no regards of being heard when the bass of the music made the floor and walls tremble slightly. "you're such a fucking liar. you'd never tell me." maybe he wouldn't have either. anyone else might assume working here meant she was a whore. "you have such a thing for being fucked in front of mirrors, don't you?" he hissed, smacking her ass and squeezing her throat, forcing her to look at him. "i'm here to fuck you like the whore you pretend to be. half the men out there will go home and toss off at the thought of you," he groaned, his free hand pulling her hair and his other tightening around her neck. "but here i am, balls deep inside you." he released her throat in time to allow her some air, his hand still pulling her hair hard, keeping her gaze fixed on the mirror as he pounded into her, the vanity trembling underneath their weight. "you want this. you want this so bad. you can't even hide it. i'm already drenched by you," rafael hissed. "if what you needed was a fuck, baby, all you had to do was ask, instead of dancing for all these greasy old pervs. but you like the attention, don't you? you come on stage and they salivate for you and it makes you feel pretty." he tugged harder, lips trailing her chin. "but this is when you're the prettiest: with that pretty little cunt of yours wrapped around my cock, weeping at the pleasure you get from being wrecked." his free hand came down hard against her ass, her body jolting forward after a particularly hard thrust on his end. "you've got five minutes to cum. and then i have to go back out there and watch your friends put on a show for me." @kiillmeromantically

One of the things that will irk me to no end with it comes to RID'15, is the way the Jasper trio got benched SO hard, even when references were thrown to TFP all the time.

Like, when Soundwave popped in, I screamed and hoped so badly for flashback when Bee name dropped the trio, but nope, all ignored.

And when they outright went to Jasper, to the original outpost that was blown up, I'd hoped maybe more mention of the kids, be it in flashback, ghost images [ you know the type, where the character is recalling memories and sees things around them?], or even remnants of their previous times there, old toy cars from Raf, music instruments from Miko, drawings.

Most egregious in my opinion is when they found Bee's holo diary, and it was just...an 80's work out video? That made 0 sense

Imagine if it had been a picture of Team Prime from back in the day, or even a video of Bee with the kids, showing the old dynamic to compare to the current new one he has.

To show the past is gone and remembered fondly, the present is now to make new memories.

I have a LOT of feelings about RID and it's failures as you can see.

Rafaele did his best to fend off all attacks - and he was doing a pretty good job of countering, from what Kamiizumi could tell. Every blow both men exchanged with their swords kept blocking the other’s from really hitting.

Zael’s sneak attack was enough to get Rafaele’s attention from Kamiizumi. Rafaele tried to slash at Zael in a wide arc, and Lana used the opportunity to fire an electric spell at him.

Rafaele teleported out of the way - just before the attack could hit. Lana hissed, before turning to punch Rafaele - who had reappeared right behind her! 

“All the freakin’ teleporting isn’t helping things.” Lana grumbled. She managed to get a hit on Rafaele’s jaw. Rafaele stumbled back before taking out a few knives, throwing them at her. Lana threw herself out of the way, but one of them tore at her sleeve, while another one managed to nick Kamiizumi in the right shoulder.

“Honestly, I’d be interested in gagging him. Might prevent him from taunting our ears off.” Kamiizumi muttered, glancing toward Dagran before moving in to try to get a hit at Rafaele again. Rafaele dodged, before using telekinesis to knock the sword out of Kamiizumi’s hand. The Swordmaster, however, used the opportunity to try to dive in at Rafaele and half-tackle him down. Rafaele barely dodged, but also tripped a bit. He didn’t fall, however, as he managed to regain balance. 

“Andddd looks like things are turning more toward close combat! Oooh!” Nuriel was commentating quite cheerily, a stark contrast to the current battle going on. “Let’s go, finalists!! It seems like Rafaele’s keeping up well with them, but who knows what will happen!?”

Lana fired another spell at Rafaele-  a frosty one - but Rafaele deflected it by summoning a magical shield. The spell went off flying toward Dagran instead but barely missed him, flying above his head.

“Sorry!” Lana was heard yelling, just before Rafaele let out a laugh.

“Is that all you got? Looks like I need to make things a bit more interesting, then!” As if on cue, music started up in the background, and the wind began to kick up harshly. The sound of clouds rumbling caught Lana’s attention, and she cursed as she felt it get harder to stay standing.

“Ah, fuck! He’s gonna sing!” 

Kamiizumi managed to retrieve his sword. “Brace yourselves...!” 

Rafaele’s eyes glowed briefly, before rain started pouring - just a little bit at first, but then it got heavier. Kamiizumi nor Lana could understand the language being sung, but it was singing, alright. Lana tried to fire a spell at Rafaele, but missed after she slipped on the now-soaked ground. Rafaele threw more knives - at Zael, at Dagran - before teleporting back toward the stage area as the rain kept on pouring.

Spectrum Event: Lonestar Proud

Fuck it, I’m getting my thoughts down now while I remember them because today was the kind of day you don’t want to forget a beat of. I’ve got a LOT of photos to sift through but you can have some highlights here.

When Tony was doing his intro you could just about see Ronen peeking around the doorframe, waiting for the intro, and he was straight into the room as soon as he could. Rafa then strolled out, cool as anything. We had autographs first and I got to talk about coming out for this, the 26 hour travel, what day/time is it? Rafa was touched I came all the way out there for them but I assured him it was very much worth it.

I was behind Emma in the line for Ronen and I bounced off her comment about her ‘short’ trip up to Burbank for this - “You’re going from one end to the other” and he said he could hear it already in my voice. Ah, the joys of a British accent! He thanked me for making the trek out (and checked how to spell trek) and I got my first hug from him. He’s so soft and gentle with his hugs but not in a “I wanna get out of this” kinda way. Like a “you get to stay here and you’re safe” kinda way.

Once everyone was done it was the photo line next - bit of miscommunication to start off with! Those who paid at Sponsorship level got individual photos with the boys: while Rafa was doing his Ronen came and sat with us, chatted about shoes and sports and made a mess with the muffin he was eating. It was pointed out that the dogs weren’t here to clean up after him - he said he had thought about bringing the girls but it would have been a lot for them.

When Ronen was doing his one-on-ones Rafa did not come over but we had a nice view so no complaints! At one point Rafa jumped in and they did some pair shots which Brad turned into the gifs and videos that are already out there:

During my photos Ronen tried to do an English accent. He said ‘ello Gov’nor a couple of times in the most horrific version of a Cockney accent I’ve ever heard attempted! My response was “no, just... no” but it was hilarious.

After photos was lunch, then the panel - which you can read about here - which was about representation and people finding their places. Rafa made the comment about people “finding [their] throne” and taking their place on it because we are here for a reason and to be the people we are. There’s real thought and consideration that goes into everything that comes out of his mouth and it shows. He picks his words carefully and he makes sure that the point he wants to make is the point he’s making.

After the panel was the M&G. We had smaller groups for this and I was in the first one: we got to talk about S4 so far, how they feel it’s the best one yet and how they’re just getting started in terms of what we’ve seen. They wouldn’t let anything slip - no matter how much we tried. Ronen asked Rafa, “What wedding are they talking about?” to which Rafa replied, “I don’t even know why they’re here.” The way they play off each other is brilliant - you know they care about each other and it’s lovely to see the off-screen friendship which builds into the on-screen relationship.

Which, Ronen did say, is endgame. He promised that no matter what happens they will always come together in the end. “Anyone else? Couldn’t tell you. But us? We’re good.”

There was talk about rep and being seen - but I got to tell them how much it means to me when they use the full initialism. As an Ace person I don’t get to see myself on screen (yet), but I get to hear myself mentioned, to be talked about makes me feel seen and acknowledged and that means a lot. 

We got to do personal selfies as we left the room and Ronen ended up being the photographer for everyone - Rafa pointing out he’s very good at them. And yes, yes he is.

I got to share this day and these moments with my Diet Coke girl, my muse, my darling @bubblesandroses8​ and there is no one else I’d rather flail with, do this with, and ask “and what’s that in English?” when you give me a temperature in Farenheit...

At this time of day, the stables were always quiet with everyone preparing for their dinners. Anyone who'd gone riding for the day had finished hours ago. It was the perfect time to sneak in whilst, perhaps, not looking the most conspicuous; hair down with parts sticking out at the back, soft shades of lipstick smudged across her face, riding jacket unbuttoned down to her waist, and a dazed smile on her face. Dismounting Montgomery, her feet hit the ground and she straightened her skirt, beginning her lazily confident stride towards the door. Her worn out fingers began to button her jacket until she'd come face to face with Rafael, like staring at the devil after encountering an angel. She let out a loud gasp, pushing her jacket across her chest to cover her corset, "Did you think you were just going to stand there and stare?" she spat, "What do you want?"

Another August day, another visit to his old hometown of Sayula.
