World’s biggest plane flies again in Microsoft Flight Simulator

A year after it was destroyed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Antonov AN-225 – the world’s biggest commercial plane – has taken flight once again in the Microsoft Flight Simulator program.Get more news about Drone Simulator Company,you can vist our website!

The game has already resurrected lots of historical aircraft in its virtual skies, but this one’s a little special. All proceeds from the $19.99 add-on go toward the Antonov Company’s real-life efforts to reconstruct the mighty beast known as “Mriya” (Ukrainian for “dream”).

The massive six-engine craft – some 275 feet, 7 inches in length – was built in the 1980s to carry the Soviet space shuttle and was the only one of its kind ever completed.

Mriya’s next role was as the world’s largest cargo transporter, boasting twice the hold capacity of a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. Its wingspan was 290 feet, the longest of any fully operational aircraft, and with a maximum payload weight of 250 tonnes, it remains the heaviest aircraft ever built.

The Antonov AN-225 was destroyed at its base in Hostomel, near Kyiv, in February 2022, but in November last year its manufacturers confirmed that the rebuilding project had begun. Antonov estimated that it would need more than €500 million ($532 million) to get it back in the air.“The process of rebuilding ‘Mriya’ is considered as an international project, with the participation of aviation enterprises of different countries of the world,” the Antonov Company told CNN via email at the time.

“The possibility of attracting funding from various sources is being considered and proposals from many organizations that are ready to join the project are being reviewed.”

The Microsoft Flight Simulator version of the Antonov AN-225 Mriya comes in six liveries, including classic Antonov Airlines designs and an Xbox Aviators Club one.

The add-on is available now in the Microsoft Flight Simulator in-game marketplace on PC for $19.99 and will be available for Xbox Series X|S and on Xbox Cloud Gaming starting in late March.

The much-loved flight simulator game celebrated its 40th anniversary in November 2022, having gone through a major reboot in 2020 when it returned with hyper-realistic scenery, digitally distilled from satellite imagery.In-game pilots can explore the world, flying over a range of 1.5 billion buildings, two million cities, and stopping in at more than 37,000 airports. That’s in real-world conditions too, day or night: the program features live real-time weather including wind speed and direction, temperature, lighting, humidity and rain.

Individualized instrument guidance and checklists are available for the wide variety of aircraft pilots can test their skills in, from light aircraft to commercial jets.

Mriya fans can also support the rebuild efforts by building their own models of the iconic craft. Ukrainian startup Metal Time is selling working mechanical design kits of the AN-225 for $99.

This sequel was however developed without the input of David Jones and without RealTime Worlds, development studio behind the first Crackdown game. Thoughts on Xbox E3 Briefing

Since there was a lot shown, I’m just going to boil this down to what caught my attention.

- Thankfully, Ori didn’t make me cry, as it showed more of the boss battles this time. Still, it looks absolutely beautiful.

- “Minecraft Dungeons” actually looks like fun. Might have to give that one a shot.

- “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” showed pretty much what we had already seen, with little expansions on the story here and there. Still left wanting more.

- Blair Witch is a game I’m going to be staying faaaaaaaaar away from (I’m just not a horror fan).

- Keanu Reeves is in Cyberpunk 2077...........Sold!

- Really? Microsoft Flight Simulator???........REALLY???!!!!

- I am a huge fan of the LEGO games, so I’ll probably check out “The Skywalker Saga”. That said, this is the 6th/7th LEGO Star Wars game, and the 3rd time we go back to the original trilogy (counting the prologue in Force Awakens). It just feels a little “bin there, done that” is all.

- *Sigh* Gears still has not grabbed me. Even the Terminator stuff, which is cool, failed to get me into Gears. “Gears Tactics” did catch my attention last year, primarily due to its XCOM style gameplay, but they didn’t bring it this year soooo, sucks for me I guess.

- While I personally am okay with my Xbox Controller, I might have to get one that actually charges and plays for 40 hours. That’ll save us some money (won’t have to buy batteries).

- “Dying Light 2”, another zombie game......move along.

- Not gonna lie, I facepalmed when I saw LEGO in Forza. Still, could be fun.

- “Crossfire X” needs to show me gameplay before I get hyped for that.

- As long as the focus is on games and not anything else, I’m down for whatever “Project Scarlett” gives us.

- My one problem with “Halo Infinite” is I don’t know where it takes place in canon. Does it take place after 5 or is it a whole new story ignoring the events of 4 and 5? Personally, I want the former, as I feel a reboot would be the easy way out. Stick to your guts, keep the story going, and at least give us a satisfying ending.

-Update; Just booted up Halo 5. On the “Message of the Day”, it goes into a brief amount of detail about Infinite. They say that Infinite “continues the Halo 5: Guardians storyline”. They’re sticking to what they have. Well done on not taking the easy way out.

Overall, Xbox did a decent job. Of cource, Keanu was the high point, they really couldn’t top that. The stuff I didn’t care for I REALLY didn’t care for, but the stuff that was cool REALLY peaked my interest. Can’t wait to hear more in the future.

As someone once said, “Snoring is just a way for those who are sleeping well to brag.” All those times your grandparents took a midday nap and snored up a storm was them getting you back at wanting to show them every little stick you picked up that week. Dogs do this too, you know. And cats? Well… they don’t need to brag, they KNOW their sleeping time is better than your awake time.

Just because Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 doesn’t play super-smooth on your computer does not mean your computer is crap and needs to be upgraded. Just like with every other Microsoft product, they intentionally build it for the highest-specced machine they can. Just lower the settings and enjoy what you’ve got, instead of shelling out a grand for a new machine.

Yes, that’s what they’re supposed to do, but have you considered the problem of them developing language skills?
