I'd be lying if the idea of turning like a Transit Connect into a microcamper wasn't alluring.

It'd be cool as hell to live outta a half-van, especially if I had an itinerant job and could fuck off when it gets cold or hot. The uncool part is probably like 2/3rds of actually living in a van.

Like, the obvious is you don't have plumbing. How do you get mail? What about an address which is essentially mandatory to maintain any form of official status? I get you could use public facilities, or bum a mailbox from a relative or friend but that's limiting and has it's own set of issues too. US-specific is groceries, our grocers and pricing is geared towards weekly or bi-weekly purchasing for the token four person house; buying food daily for one since you can't refrigerate much (if anything) is incredibly expensive long term. And if you're employed in a more traditional sense, you basically lose the freedom of living in your vehicle and it's pretty pointless.
