Prison Break? I need a break!

"We are captives of our own identities, living in prisons of our own creation." ~ Theodore Bagwell The story revolves around an engineer, Michael Scofield, who deliberately installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to save his falsely accused brother, Lincoln Burrows, from a death sentence.

You'd think if one has designed the prison, it wouldn't take 5 seasons for him to get out of one, considering all the possibilities. That is the thing! It didn't take them all that time to escape the prison, yet they still went on with the show, eventually losing track of what it was initially about.

People seem to rate it highly due to the constant suspense and action, but I see this as its downfall. I am a bit of a fan of the "will they? won't they?" trope myself but not if it has been dragged out enough for me to foretell the next thing in the show. The writers tried to make it unpredictable to the extent that it got predictable. Characters surviving things that they definitely should not and doing things that definitely would not and yet everything is still rather foreseeable. Every episode has these farcical one in a billion chance kind of thing happen on the regular, and like the beloved cliche, the power of trust and friendship and the ridiculously intelligent main character gets everyone through it all.

You'd think having the most wanted criminals in America walking around federal buildings, they'd at least be recognised, if not caught. One thing that I do appreciate about the show is how much they're willing to delve into technicalities in terms of medicine, technology and architecture to avoid any future loopholes. The problematic theme of T-Bag, a convicted rapist, pedophile and murderer, as one of the main characters runs around for almost 4 seasons. But you can't expect convicts to not have a past when the entirety of the plotline revolves around them.

I appreciate the addition of depth in each character, the relevancy of each action, each dynamic and the contribution of every single element to the resultant story. Every character holds weightage in terms of what happens in the end. The show does strays away from its original tale while still trying to hold the audience's attention which it was successfully able to do. But the ratings weren't worth losing what could've been cinematic masterpiece. If you're a fan of flow, I'd suggest watching only the first season of the show.

Type: Romantic Show: Fox’s Prison Break Featured Characters: Michael Scofield and Sara Tancredi

Years have gone by, but Michael Scofield and Sara Tancredi are still one of the finest examples of a forbidden romance in a TV series. When I dove into Prison Break a few years after it was over and before the revival, I never expected to find one of the most memorable relationships within. The series grips viewers from the start, and when it comes to the romance it wants to showcase, it does so with such tender nuances that there's no turning back after the initial meeting.

Prison Break had its faults, but for the most part, it handled Michael and Sara's relationship with far more understanding of what matters in a romance than TV today does. We watched them go from point A to point B with subtle changes that made complete sense when they found themselves more established in Season 2. And to fully thrust forward as a couple in Season 4 after everything they've endured was a gift that kept giving until it stopped.

Michael and Sara became the kind of couple who'd take the sentiment of never giving up on each other to new heights, fully believing in the other's capabilities in a way no one else could. After countless wounds, uncertainties, and battles with grief, they got to be happy—wholeheartedly.

Sara has been going in and out of the shop ‘Fox River’ since she was a teen. Now a doctor with a crumbling relationship and near drug addiction, she decides to fully make it a tradition to go in every day to the shop. Thought, in the process and without her realizing it, she might finally, finally, find someone who gets her and isn’t just going to judge every life decision she’s made.

Michael likes Fox River. It’s a lovely little store with the best coffees and pastries in the whole city. He’s bounced around apartment and neighborhood many times, so he’s a bit of an expert at this point. But he’s been so focused on helping his brother get ready for his wedding to one Veronica Donovan that he hasn’t gone there in months. So he walks in one day, and is immediately smitten with the red-head reading in the corner.

Glances soon turn into small conversations, which turn into brunch and desserts and more deep conversations. And somehow, before the two of them even realized it, they were meeting in the bathrooms for make-out sessions like they were both still teenagers. And while the connection scares them, they can’t seem to stop meeting at the little coffee shop.

imma need to know the parameters for this one because i was a choir kid and in my high school that was basically the same thing. do u know how many choir kids got converted into theater freaks when our show choir did a hamilton medley for the choir show? yorktown had everyone by the throat ✋😭

what does 'choir kid' entail in this context. like is link in a standing choir or a show choir? because then it makes a little more sense if he's in a standing choir and then attends the school play where revali is one of the leads for fuckin um. Once on This Island idk, and (1) is very interested in the performance of singing and dancing at the same time because it's def more fun than a standing choir that only sings technical pieces, and (2) does revali. does revali um. does he get to kiss people on stage often. like is that a thing that the theatre kids do often, do they do musicals where the characters kiss. does revali kiss boys by any chance, like romantically. hey when's the next play and do they have a sign-up sheet or like, wait zelda come back—

i'd like to propose choir kid link x orchestra kid revali 👁️ i once had an ex-choir-kid-turned-orchestra-kid friend who insisted that orchestra was superior to choir because their skills were reliant on manipulating an instrument to sound beautiful and that singing/dancing wasn't impressive at all. me personally i don't put down other people like that, but i've always admired those who play instruments and have always been really cool with orchestra kids :] but revali kinda reminds me of that friend. canonically, revali is very proud of his skill with a bow so i think it's kinda fitting if he were proud of his skill with like. a violin or a flute or some shit LOL

orchestra kid revali beefing with choir kid link because he thinks playing instruments is more impressive than screaming at the top of your lungs on a stage like a maniac lol...... except he was totally into link's solo parts as orpheus when they did "wait for me" in their hadestown medley for the choir show. when their school's orchestra and choir decide to do a collaborative show, revali sours at the idea of collaborating with the choir but then remembers that link is in choir and then perks up. teba calls him out immediately for that 😭

idk just choir and orchestra doing a tech rehearsal and revali almost messes up his part by falling behind the tempo because he's just so enamored by how pretty link's voice is 🤭🤭🤭 and link being nervous and wanting to sing well because revali is watching him like a hawk <333 link and revali practicing extra hard so they can impress each other during the show <333 and after the final show, urbosa brings flowers for the performers as a congratulations but instead she shoves one bouquet into revali's arms and says, "go to him. i know you want to." and winks.

(revali will yell and squawk at her for it, but he takes the bouquet and stalks away to the dressing rooms to where link is, knocking on his dressing room door softly, suddenly feeling shy. when link comes out looking at him with wide eyes, revali offers the flowers and tells him "you performed well." link will take the flowers and blush, then look back at revali and say, "you did too." and they're just staring and blushing at each other in the hallway, until more choir kids exit the dressing room and break the silence. they ooh and aah and giggle over link's new flowers, teasing him and revali, to which revali snipes and link blushes brighter, but they look at each other again and give each other shy smiles. they could get used to this :>)
