That is because their Bak Chor Mee (肉脞面) or Minced Meat Noodles is so popular, as it comes with plenty of ingredients or toppings. Let’s us see what is included in this bowl of dry-style thin noodles or mee kia. At a glance, I can see pork & chive dumpling, fish dumpling, fish balls, pork balls (hidden underneath), braised pig’s skin, fishcake slices, crispy sole fish (扁魚干/大地鱼/比目鱼), crispy pork lards and minced pork. Review: This is my go-to stall for BCM because it is near my house and I like the taste of it. I only eat BCM with mee pok noodles, not mee kia. Dunno why, but I just associate BCM with mee pok while mee kia is more for wanton mee. The mee pok noodles here are springy with the right firmness, just how I like it. The only issue I have is that the noodles are too little. It’s so good that I want more!

The minced meat is plentiful, mushroom slices are thick and lean pork slices are “meaty”, but perhaps not as meaty as the meatballs, which come with a smaller meatball within. You will definitely get your meat fix by eating this, which is the very reason why you eat BCM in the first place.

The balance of vinegar and chilli is also perfect. The soup is nice but it can be warmer, and perhaps more generous. I always finish every last drop of it.

Taste: 10/10

Value for money: 9/10

If the economy rice stalls are still in the midst of preparation, mum will usually go to Choo Chiang Roasted Meat Noodle House (珠江烧腊面家) to buy their Pork & Shrimp Dumplings Noodles (水饺面). It is thin yellow noodles or mee kia for me and mum will ask for extra two dumplings to be added. Not sure if you noticed but the dumplings are getting less plump with more of the flappy wanton skin now, a sign of cost-cutting… :(

Also from Chong Pang is this savoury Sticky Rice or Glutinous Rice (糯米饭) topped with crunchy peanuts, fried shallots and a sprinkling of spring onions. Mix some of the chilli sauce to give it a spicy kick to start off the day.

💛 what are their favorite activities to do together? or what do they usually do when they spend time together?

There are a bunch of things... maybe their favourite is for kia/we to take wren places on his charizard, an example in the show is him taking soph to his secret spot, a spring under the volcano.. Wren will keep saying he loves places with natural beauty and kia/we will always remember that and bring him to places he won't easily reach on foot and they'll watch the scenery and the sunsets together

Another activity is going to kia/we's farm and taking care of the farm pokemon and then resting atop the hill overlooking the farm in the evening, or going back to his house and hanging out with his sister

Also since they are students and to make my own student life more bearable it's nice to think about us studying together maybe holding our left hands opposite the table hehehfkgk i just know if he was my study partner I would be soooo motivated ok😭😭

They also do field projects together related to their area of study interests like culture and conservation!!! This makes me happy to think about cuz it's what I want to do irl also!!!

Cuz it's poke/mon they also battle quite a lot becuz they're both competitive and love the adrenaline.. you know how to cheer up wren kia/we appeals to their love language of "I can take you to someplace scenic", when it comes to kia/we wren asks him if he wants to battle and nearly every time he gets really excited :33

Kia/we is also a traditional fire dancer so sometimes he performs for wren... and wren also shows him some of the poems they wrote... guys I neeed a partner who is also a fan of the arts like mee....

Also they like to camp together! It's at the place in the show where they also camped, a hike up behind kia/we's family farm... lots of late night talks up there.. they may or may not have had their first kiss up there B)
