Color! Composition still wonky, but this was done mainly to see how I liked the colors and such. I can reposition and resize birds/leaves/etc another time. And get a decent proper hexagon drawn up.
This has been an exercise in not letting perfection hold me back. I have to start getting back into art somehow, right?

SAG and WGA members have repeatedly said that you, as fans, shouldn’t protest streaming services and new releases because fans continuing to show interest in new releases both gets them paid and puts pressure on the AMPTP to sit down and make a deal so idk where y’all got “don’t create or interact with fan content of any kind in any way”, the closest to this that I’ve seen is the cosplay rule*, which is for INFLUENCERS who are under the SAG influencer agreement or may want to be in the future, not fans with hobbies (in fact, in the Variety article that specifies the cosplay rule, they specifically say if you’re not in SAG or a future union influencer to “go right ahead”)
*I could not find the cosplay rule anywhere on the SAG-AFTRA strike official website but it appears to be an expansion on this point in the FAQ for Influencers section:
Tumblr media
The cosplay addition to this rule seems to stem from this Variety article as well as screenshots of an email exchange between a twitter user and the strike’s official email address
I highly recommend you get your information regarding the strike and what counts as crossing the picket line directly from the SAG-AFTRA strike website as well as directly from the WGA strike website (I suggest reading the FAQs a couple times) or by submitting any questions you may have to the strike’s official email or phone number— [email protected] or 877-8-STRIKE (877-878-7453)— as opposed to listening to strangers online as there is a lot of misinformation going around right now

For those who don’t understand why people have such a thing about the show Supernatural, I will attempt to explain as best as I’m able.
So when Supernatural is good, it’s really good. Most people don’t know this given the time the show ran, but it won pretty glowing reviews from critics during its 4/5 seasons. It was a good show. Flawed of course, like all media, but really fucking good.
The reason it sticks with people after that despite its decline is for three reasons, I suspect, besides fan loyalty and queerbaiting:
1. The later seasons varied widely in quality but there were moments when out of fucking nowhere, the show was good. For example, season 6 for the most part, in my opinion, sucks. But it has the episode “The Man Who Would Be King” in it which is such a good piece of television, it’s outrageous. The premise should not work BUT SOMEHOW. It’s like watching a pig suddenly fly.
The show did this multiple times with concepts that were not that interesting! Concepts that absolutely should not work. AND YET?
2. When the show was bad or mediocre, it sometimes was spoiling such a good fucking premise that people felt compelled to play on the premise. The execution is lackluster but the concept is so good that creative types feel like they got to take a hammer to the canon and make it good. Because there’s so much potential there.
Do I recommend watching Supernatural? No, not unless you want to, and I’d suggest following guidance if someone who’s seen it before to avoid the bumpiest parts. But dang, what a show.

Last night's bedtime thought...
What's "canon" in any given piece of modern media is really only reflective of what's marketable, not what's satisfactory or good for the story.

Such is life! Behold, a new Post published on Greater And Grander about The Dancing Rabbit; Anna Valenzuela
See into my soul, as a new Post has been published on http://greaterandgrander.com/the-dancing-rabbit-anna-valenzuela
The Dancing Rabbit; Anna Valenzuela
Anna Valenzuela has a radiant smile that’s wonderfully at odds with her dark material.
A trained black-belt, she’s fought her way to the top of LA’s competitive stand-up scene with sheer force of will and killer jokes. She can easily roast the audience, other comics, and herself with equal aplomb. Anna’s skills earned her a spot on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, where she emotionally destroyed her opponents while maintaining her balance in kitten heels.
Her warm nature draws audiences in, and her expertly-crafted bits keep them coming back for more. She’s in-demand in LA and elsewhere, having been featured as for three years running at Broke LA, and also making regular appearances at the Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and the Improv. She’s traveled out-of-state to festivals like Limestone Comedy Festival (2022) and the High Plains Comedy Fest (2022), and was a standout in her hometown at the Second City’s Los Angeles Diversity in Comedy Festival. Accolades have come from other comedians too – Jackie and Laurie featured Anna as the comic of the week on their far-reaching podcast. As much in demand for her opinions as her jokes, Anna’s appeared on Fangirling streaming on Nerdist. Lastly her Podcast 12 Questions, an in-depth look at sobriety.
Why did you get into the entertainment industry?
I fell in love with standup in my early 30’s and it just stuck! I was 32 (LIKE A CRAZY PERSON).
What was the first project you worked on?
My friend Kyle Clark’s channel 101 sketches. It was called “Art’s and Craftscer”.
What were your goals when you started?
Become the best Standup I can be and make a living off of it. Now, I am preparing to record and release and album soon.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is applying to acting school?
It’s a hard life. There is no certainty. Once you embrace the free-fall you stay out of the scarcity mindset of the business.
What did you originally want to do in Hollywood?
Standup, but once you get good at that you need to have more.
What difficulties (if any) did you encounter in Hollywood?
Starting late both hurt and helped. I had more to say and better resilience for the work but I also was naive to the way hollywood folks act.
What did you do for a day job while looking for showbiz work?
I worked at a sober living and then became a tour guide. I stopped working for free pretty early on, but the pandemic really brought the concept of valuing my time home.
Do you ever work for free or on spec now? And if so, how do you choose when to work on those terms?
I do anything I can to avoid it but standup does require some free work.
What are you currently working on, and how did you arrive here?
A horror comedy feature, two pilot scripts, and an album.
What are the biggest mistakes a person can make when they first start working in the industry?
Singing contracts without a lawyer.
Did someone ever try to take advantage of your inexperience in Hollywood?
A certain TV network for comedy for sure owes myself and a few comics for streaming, writing, and Sirius XM credit.
Did you ever pay for a program that promised big results to help further your career, but it never delivered?
No. I am extremely cheap when it comes to that stuff. I try to get the best value for my educational time and money.
Did you ever come across a project or a person that looked promising, and then the whole thing blew up in your face?
Yes! I’ve had pitch meetings that went no where. Everyone kind of looked board and had an idea of what they might be looking for. I just stayed me. It’s all I can do.
Were you ever put in a position that you were asked to compromise your artistic integrity?
Yes, for a roast show they asked to bring me out to Mariachi music. I felt that didn’t speak to me at all. I caved and I wish I hadn't.
Did you ever embarrass yourself in front of a celebrity?
Yes! I once fan girled out to hard on J-Lo.
What’s been the highest point of your career so far?
My last two tours felt amazing. Living anf breathing stand up for a month straight was awesome.
How would you advise people to network?
I got a writing gig off a dating app once! Just be you and be there. You’ll find the right people.
If you had it to do over again, what would you do differently?
I’d have a lawyer always ready to read my contracts.
What motto do you try to live your life by?
“Say what you mean, mean what you say but don’t say it mean.”
Where’s your favorite place in Los Angeles?
My bed. Where the sleep happens.
Where can people find you and your work online?
AnnaValenzuela.com or @annavisfunny on all social media.

Can't believe this got 89k likes. Harry getting accused of being straight again because he put on a trench coat. Its got to be so frustrating for him to keep getting accused of queerbaiting. Or I don't know how he feels about being so misunderstood but it's frustrating to watch.
https://twitter.com/newgamertag/status/1759467672276816254?t=xC2TkifCVjKLL4nlr213AQ&s=19
Obviously I disagree with this from every single angle (starting with the fact that he's there with Rob Stringer - of course he's selling something).
But the fact that a significant number of people are this wrong (and I do think they're wrong, factually, politically and culture) - is a reality that Harry is going to have to navigate. For me the question of what the options are and what he's going to do is one of the most interesting questions of the moment.
One of the reasons that it feels particularly unknown - is that Harry hasn't really presented himself to the public since BRITS last year. He's been seen - but it's been show outfits (which were continuity of the previous show outfits) and street clothes.
And a lot has happened. The idea that there's something wrong with how he dresses and talks about his sexuality has been brewing for a while - and was already at the point where interviewers were really pushing the line when he released Harry's House and it's only grown since then. Then there's the movie/relationship drama that peaked in September of 2023.
We haven't really seen how Harry is going to present himself post all that (the Brits looks were clearly a a continuity of what he had done previously).
I think the most immediate question (and the soonest answered) is is there still space for him to wear really interesting and iconic looks in an album release campaign. And if there's not what impact will it have on his image and his stardom? I really do think that the iconic looks and their implications, are part of his value proposition

Why is digital marketing important?
You can focus your efforts on only the prospects most likely to purchase your product or service:
If you place an advertisement on TV, in a magazine, or on a billboard, you have limited control over who sees the ad. Of course, you can measure certain demographics — including the magazine's typical readership or the demographic of a certain neighborhood — but it's still largely a shot in the dark.
Digital marketing allows you to identify and target a highly-specific audience with personalized and high-converting marketing messages.
Tumblr media
For instance, you might use social media targeting to show ads to a certain audience based on variables like age, gender, location, interests, networks, or behaviors. Alternatively, you might use PPC or SEO strategies to serve ads to users who've shown interest in or searched for specific keywords related to your product, service, or industry.
Ultimately, digital marketing helps you conduct the research necessary to identify your buyer personas and refine your strategy to ensure you’re reaching prospects most likely to buy.
Digital marketing evens the playing field within your industry and allows you to compete with bigger brands:
If you work for a small business, it's likely difficult for you to compete with the major brands in your industry, many of which have millions of dollars to invest in campaigns. Fortunately, there are plenty of opportunities to outrank the big players through strategic digital marketing initiatives.
Tumblr media
For instance, you might use long-tail keywords to create high-quality content that ranks on search engines. Search engines don’t care which brand is the biggest, but it does care about prioritizing content that resonates best with target audiences.
