Texte : Le compositeur Maurice Duruflé et l'organiste Marie-Madeleine Duruflé ont vécu dans cet immeuble de 1930 à 1999

Quelques précisions : Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986) est un compositeur et organiste français. Son œuvre la plus réputée est le Requiem Op. 9, achevé en 1947, tandis que sa dernière œuvre, en 1977, le Notre-Père en quatre voix mixtes, est dédié à son épouse Marie-Madeleine (1921-1999), organiste elle aussi. Cette dernière est considérée comme le dernier grand représentant de l'école romantique française d'orgue. Maurice et Marie-Madeleine Duruflé furent organistes au sein de l'église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont, située juste en face de l'immeuble où cette plaque est apposée. Tous deux sont gravement blessés lors d'un accident de voiture en 1975, qui affectera particulièrement Maurice, le laissant incapable de jouer jusqu'à sa mort.
